Elegant riverside wine bar with booth seating, British bistro and grill fare, supper club menu deal.
Always wanted to try one of the restaurants on the Cranary Wharf side of west India key so here we are at Davy’s. Old style restaurant with booths and tables though the booth chairs look a little uncomfortable but every where else is good. Reasonable selection of lager and bitters on offer with a good food menu of snacks, easy eats, sandwiches or the meals menu plus a specials board. We shared a club sandwich plus a steak Ciabatta sandwich with fry’s. Nice selection of deserts and coffees and mini deserts. Reasonable prices for the area and service. On the wharf so no immediate parking. Worth trying. Please like if this helped.
Cozy and elegant bar/restaurant. The view is amazing facing the docks, great ambiance and for after work drinks. I went for wine and only found 1 Malbec, a bit on the dry side, I would like to have more options.
Such a great place for a drink or food. Reserved a space for a reunion and they were so accommodating and gave me peace of mind. Easy to book and god at communicating.
Spacious bar with nkce selection of food and alcohol. Be warned, prawn linguine is very bad. No seasoning and drowned in water. Burgers are the go to option. Not great but decent.
We went there at 10:15 pm, hardly anyone there, a happy bar man served is drinks & we savoured the ambiance at the water side.
Amazing staff! A quite tucked away haven.
V good fish and parsley mash. Good service. Good value for Can Wharf and the beer was excellent
Ive enjoyed coming to Davys at Canary Wharf for over a year now, occasionally spending hundreds of pounds in a night. I probably wont be back again any time soon though. This evening, the unmannered and frankly inexperienced floor manager decided to argue the toss over a "spend 25 pounds, get a food platter half price" offer, asking for receipts to prove the amount... in a pub where one round came in at over 14 pounds. I conceded in good humour, and paid full price for the food. They then delivered the food to the wrong table in an almost empty pub. I got a refund and left without hearing anything even resembling an apology. Embarrassingly poor service, especially for somewhere in Canary Wharf.
Its a great place when its not crowded. It has some really nice wines, and you can eat as well.
Great decor and bar staff are a good laugh.
"Surly", was the first word that came into my colleagues head, and out of his mouth, upon witnessing the pour the first pint, and "surly" is the word repeated on the pouring of the second.
Excellent business place with lots of little and bigger bars & restaurants and just making you feel like having one of the biggest malls ever in the 1. Floor under your feet. Loving this quarter. Must have seen place!
Decent spot for lunch or post work pints.
As per usual excellent food with great service from super staff. The Cornish crab cakes were delicious!
Been to loads of work events and not work events here. Beer selection is good enough, plenty of wine. Food is good (chips are great though)
Good selection of beers and great place to meet with your friends. Try London Ale beer, you will not be disappointed.
Great pub by the waterfront! Intricate setting, cool wine cellar based decor and apparently serves great port!
An important part of the Canary Wharf landscape, good for after work drinks or a Christmas party. Staff have always been helpful in organising larger events and although the food is fairly standard, it is better than a lot of what else is on offer elsewhere.
The office team had organised an event which included beers, wine and some food. Enjoyed the atmosphere after the event got over and had a few drinks too many. Nice and cosy place
A big fan of this chain especially the Old Wallop. Had Sausage and Mash on Friday which was delicious. The Cumberland sausages were cooked correctly and not deep fat fried as they are is some establishments.
Friendly service, good food. Very well organised for a business lunch for around twenty people.
Only good bar in Canary Wharf :-)
Excellent local pub.The food here is amazing, would recomend it for lunch. They also have an great range of wine. There are also seats outside by the docks. The staff here are amazing, in particular Sarah and Trisha they always make sure the customers are happy and provide an excellent service. We eat out daily in different places in Canary Wharf and the service here is one of the best in the whole area. Well done guys.
Nice bar, very busy and has good atmosphere
Decent choice of lagers and options to sit outside and stay in.Bartenders dont keep track of the queue so almost every time I have to remind them that I should be served instead of someone who came after me.
In my opunion, this is by far the best place for lunch in Canary Wharf. We go most weeks as the food is freshly made for each diner and consistently excellent quality. We have never had a bad experience. The service from Sarah and Tricia is exceptional. They both exceed our expecations, and we are very picky. However, all staff are great. Also, quieter vibe so feels relaxed. Good antidote to Canary Wharf living. Highly recommended!!!!
Low rating because the real opening hours are different from the ones posted on Opentable, Google, Yahoo, and others. I was also able to make an Opentable reservation for a time when the restaurant was not serving - so basically my reservation was not honored.
Staff are irritable and requires better customer service training. Soulless, highly expensive
Amazing !! Food and service excellent busy new years eve . Handled with panache
Amazing time in this cozy gem. Its quiet compared to the bigger chain bars in Canary Wharf but the service is more personal here and staff are lovely.
The food was good but i have to give 5 stars because I was talking as i paid my bill and i accidentally typed in an extra zero on the PDQ machine and left a £20 tip on £15 meal!... a few minutes later, the female waitress came back to my table and said "we are sure you made a mistake so i have voided it so you can pay again". Amazing. Really impressed. I upped my tip from the intended £2 to £5
Nice alternative to other nearby watering holes. Food was fine, as was the beer.
Decent selection of ales, clean, easy to get served.
Quite trendy yet retains a very pub like atmosphere. Is generally popular with those working in the vicinity so expect a lot of people in suits especially on Thursdays and Fridays. Is quite large and is often used as a venue for leaving drinks. The staff are friendly and the bar food worth the money (location considered). An especially charming venue during the summer.
We had our year end dinner here. Food was good and plenty of booze. It was a good evening out.
Nice bar and overall atmosphere. Quite busy after 5 with bankers
A nice bar and restaurant with booths so you can enjoy a private conversation.
Good beer nice atmosphere but can get really busy at the end of the working day...arrive early if you want a seat!
Good views but the burners dont keep you warm outside
The location is perfect for after work drinks, after a long day at one of the Canary wharf offices. The setting outside is lovely, especially during the summer, to sit by the waterside. The inside gets crowded and noisy, especially on friday nights, so better to stay away, if you are looking for a nice and relaxed dinner on a friday night here. Drinks were on the pricey side.
Good outside area and a wide selection of beers
Decent atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks
Decent pub, queues were short at busy times. Pricing is appropriate for the location.
Extremely commercial place with typical drink selection, pretty pricy and full of Canary Wharf people. The place reeks of fake, bit it is one of the more appealing pubs of Canary Wharf
Good post work venue but can be a bit packed and rammed. Loyalty card offers available
Never go for dinner on a Friday night! We had made a booking for 8:30pm a week before. Arrived at our designated dining time and the establishment had no booking/reservation for us. A staff member had made a mistake and put our booking down for 6:00pm instead of 8:30pm. After showing the booking confirmation for 8:30pm, we didnt even receive a sorry!Just to clarify, Davys is NOT a restaurant, its a bar and only a bar. After messing up our booking, they tried to seat us on a small bar table between a LOUD office party and a stag do! We kindly told them to get stuffed and left.Davys BAR was an utter let down and I would never recommend it.
Davys is one of the nicer drinking establishments on the estate, with a pleasant atmosphere and very good wine selection.
For the canary wharf are the prices and service are really good - bartenders are friendly and helpful, the head bartender remembered my drinks and asked if I wanted topping up of the same when I returned.
Its got Old Wallop on tap, which is always good for comic value, but is a great beer. The Davies at the Wharf seems more like an old pub that the rest of its kin. Its got nice tucked away areas so you can lose others if you want something a bit more tucked away.
Fantastic atmosphere for quality conversations but food unfortunately doesnt live up to the expectations. Decent service.
