Amazing food. Saw the article in the paper and was pleasantly surprise how I did not plan how good the food would be. Dave was very busy but a new girl Dana took good care of us. Jessica followed up to make sure everything was good as well. Be sure to go check them out. Very affordable and amazing food. 👏

The food was very delicious, properly seasoned and juicy. My wife and i decided to go the India route and went with the masala fries along with a pakora burger and chicken masala burger. The food tasted delicious and fresh, not to mention for the price point we got two meals out of each of them. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

One of the best restaurants by far in the area. Drove 30 minutes to try the food and it was so worth it. Dave is as friendly and compassionate as his food is flavorful. I ordered the "Make Me Anything" and the dish Dave prepared for me was better than I could have asked for. Dave is amazing.

What kind chicken Tikka masala and Naan is this.... , this is nasty....

Omg season heaven ❤ freakin delish & cant wait to make my way through the menu. We got the stuffed bison & big juicy burgers which were cooked perfectly. Vodka fries (temp specialawesome & wish I got 2 orders. Sweet potato fries are the best Ive ever had. The black fries are AMAZING, so are the spicy fries. Steak & cheese rolls sooo good. Everything so flavorful & cooked with love. Chefs kiss!!

I had the California Stack - the best burger Ive ever eaten! It consisted of an angus patty, bacon, tomatoes, onions, peppers, pickles, sauce, and a fried egg. I ate it with a fork and knife. The black and white fries were also delicious with lots of seasonings. The owner/chef Dave Kahn was very friendly, and so was the waitress.

I was already convinced that Daves immaculate restaurant was 5 stars from my previous experiences. However, on my most recent venture, I discovered brand new innovated burgers like the cinnamon toast burger and the grilled cheese burger (with an egg). These are both delicious and genius, and have unlocked a new way for me to eat and enjoy food. Because of this, Daves Gourmet Burgers and More is now my number one restaurant of all time. Thank you Dave.

Not only are their burgers incredible, they have the best Chicken Masala I’ve had in upstate NY! I wish I could give this place 6 stars, Dave serves an incredible variety of dishes here and not a single one of them is less than a culinary masterpiece. Also they got some awesome spices they sell here!

I have been traveling the country with my family in our RV for the last two years. Grass fed burgers are my favorite food on the planet. I’ve eaten burgers in every state, and the burger I had at Dave’s was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Dave made sure he made things exactly as I requested, and put such love and care into his preparation, I was thoroughly impressed. I can’t recommend this place enough. We are in town for a week, and will be eating there every day. Do yourself a favor and get over there NOW!

I asked for the marsala burger without cheese and it was absolutely delicious the sauce was so good. The fries were really fresh and I loved the black fries also with some kind of Indian or Pakistani spice delicious. Chef and staff were very attentive. Loved that I could get a burger or steak sandwich a Gyro or Palak paneer all on the same menu!

The food is so good but more than that Chef Dave and his staff were amazing. We came in right before they were about to close unsure if we could grab a to go and they told us to sit down that we could eat here. Went over everything, took time to go over menu items since it was our first time. No clue how we have lived in Schenectady for years and never heard of this place but we will definitely be back. Omg!!!! Amazing!! So happy we found this place. Best burgers ever!! The owner and the lady taking the orders were so attentive. I had Juicy Lucy and all my kids and husband had the California Burger. Their fries are perfectly seasoned. Try the black fries. What a treat!!

Definitely not worth the money. The tiny, overcooked order of sweet potato fries was insulting at $8.49. The "black" fries were like eating just the burnt remnants of regular fries. As a Minnesota native who knows what juicy Lucy burgers are supposed to be I was disappointed with the inside cheese only on one half of this burger, it was good cheese but should be even inside so you get cheese in every bite. My wifes cheesesteak was merely okay and the white fries were decent, Im just glad that we had to side order her SP fries so when my black fries were inedible I could at least eat her white ones. All in all vastly overpriced bad food. Will not order again, nor recommend.

What a great find for our hungry family of 4 as we passed thru town. We felt so welcomed and were treated like family. The food was delcious and plenty of it! Its a small establishment off the beaten path, and those are always the best places! Its a must try!

The absolute BEST burger I have ever eaten. Words escaped me after my first bite but I can say that it was an emotional experience. From the moment you walk in you feel as though you have entered a family members kitchen. Dave is an incredibly inspired chef who pours his heart into his cooking and the pride he takes from seeing his customers happy is clear. I absolutely loved my marsala burger from the moment I smelled it. Highly recommended!

Incredible, incredible place. Best samosas weve ever had in our lives, made fresh, but the star is the burgers. Each one of us loved our special blend. Dave will make whatever you want, exactly how you want it. They treat you like family. Definitely a new favorite.

The atmosphere was very nice, staff was very nice, and the food was very nice. All for a very good price. He even complimented my watch, I dont understand where people think Dave is rude. He is an amazing man. Me and my friends all enjoyed our burgers! God bless

Great dining experience. Lots of vegetarian options. Lots of options. The Juicy Lucy was a great choice. Dave cares deeply that customers enjoy their food. The vegetarians in our group had the Chana Masala and the falafel burger and really liked both.

Just had the house 50/50 with black fries and it was honestly the best burger I have ever had. Secret sauce is good but glad I got it on the side because the burger is more delicious bare. Next time I will have to try to onion garlic butter..... not sauce.... topping haha

First order, got two kids burgers with fries and bacon, husband got black fries and a Black N Blue Bacon Kneaded, and I got a Marsala Chef burger. So messy, flavorful, juicy and delicious. They do NOT skimp on toppings! Also tried the samosas appetizer which was dinner #1. So much food. Will definitely try their gyros on a monday next!

This place is by far the best burger place within 1000 miles. Jessica is by far the most hospitable servers to ever exist throughout the history of hospitality and Dave is the best burger chef you will find around. Together, they form the dynamic duo of the best burger experience you will ever encounter in your lives.

Only positive that deserved a one star was the waffle fries and onion rings.The prices are such a scam for the food quality. Theres no passion in the food, so overly seasoned. The flavors mixed together was absolutely horrible, so salty. The mixture of of the flavors and the meat wasnt good. I was across from the fries and the strong seasoning was burning my nose, not good.The (onlywaitress was so kind 😊 but the chef needs to have an attitude adjustment with customers, you need to listen to the criticism and grow from itIm sure at some point it was good.Find your passion again and the food will shine tastefully

One of the best burgers I have eaten. This place is old school in a great way with thick juicy burgers with high quality meat and condiments. Unique city area adds to the charm.

We used to eat at Daves when he was in Albany and finally took the drive to try his new Schenectady location. Dave treats all customers like family, which is welcoming after a hard day. The food did not taste how we remembered but was still very tasty. With 3 fry options we opted for the old goodie - black fries. They are scary but delicious. A must try. We both ordered his famous Juicy Lucy. One with Chefs Touch. The restaurant itself is cozy. Only 2 tables and a nice diner bar. Well worth the drive or the stop in if in the area. An added bonus is near by charging stations. We look forward to visiting again!

Dave’s Gourmet Burgers is a great and welcoming spot that I would recommend to anyone who is hungry. The young lady who handles waitressing is friendly and was great at explaining the menu and making sure we had what we needed. Owners were very friendly, and the food was very good. A lot of homemade and custom items available. I enjoyed coming to eat here, and will be back. Very unassuming building, but the food is made very well. The chef obviously takes care with his food. I was recommended by a friend, and will recommend to people I know as well.

Drove all the way from Pennsylvania for Dave’s food. The Samosas were delicious and homemade. They put other restaurants to shame. Fresh ingredients. Dynamic tastes. I highly recommend the Bison Masala burger. So many flavors packed into one burger.

The Captain’s Juicy Lucy is absolutely fabulous! I can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing menu, terrific food, and friendly staff. Plus homemade desserts.

I loved the burger, as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by a very nice man who turned out to be Dave the owner of the restaurant, he is by far the most enthusiastic chef I have ever had, and his food met that enthusiasm with a cherry on top, by far the best burger joint in the capital region, and oh my god, the fries are a different level of good. Owner/Chef is a great guy and takes great pride in the food he is preparing for you. I have tried his burgers, gyros, and some of his vegetarian options. All have been well worth their price tag. Adding the "chefs touch" option is worth the up charge. Be prepared to use a fork or have a few extra napkins. Its become my new favorite place to grab food.

Burger is amazingly juicy and flavorful. Always love it! I got a big oreo cupcake that was super moist and yummy. Their desserts are always great. Fries and mozzerella sticks were super spicy though. Couldnt finish them because of the spice. Normally not bad but really strong today. Definitely love this place especially now they deliver.

Unbelievable!!! We’re new to the area, wanted good burgers, and Dave’s was recommend through some internet research. It exceeded our expectations and then some… Everything was beyond delicious – make sure you come hungry, Dave doesn’t skimp on portions :The service was top-notch, but the food was certainly the star of the show. Great place. Went there over the weekend with my family and once we walked in we immediately knew It would be a place we would like. The hostess/server was incredibly friendly and welcoming and explained the menu and specials. It’s a small place but feels homey and comfortable.The food is delicious from their three kinds of fries(spicy was my favoritewhich come with any meal to their diverse selection of American, Greek and Indian food.I got the Juicy Lucy which was awesome. Perfectly cooked and well juicy. I got it with the chefs touch which added even more flavor. I also had the chance to try the garlic cheesesteak which was delicious and just had a lot of flavor.Also I have to mention that they had a great selection of vegan/vegetarian options which my brother really enjoyed as he normally is forced to have the only option on the menu. Here he had choices for once.Overall great place for a quick bite or to go. The owner is really invested in what he does and it shows. I hope to see this place grow in popularity and get more of the attention it deserves. Can’t wait to be back and try more of their menu.

Dave is an amazing chef. I’ve never had a burger quite like his before. Having lived in different areas around New York State. I would always try some different burger places. But Dave’s my god was such an amazing experience when I went with my friends a few months ago, made me want to go back.. The Stick Burger I got today was amazing. I highly recommend Dave’s Gourmet Burgers and More for those craving a burger that you would never be able to get anywhere else.

When I ordered I was promised the best Philly sandwich and that’s exactly what I got. This was hands down the best Philly I’ve ever had. The flavor was amazing and the veggies were perfectly cooked. The black and white fries were delicious as well and perfectly seasoned. Dave was friendly is the perfect example of an experienced chef. I can’t wait to go back here!

Best Burgers in the Capital Region. Everything in the burger was amazing, from the meat which had a lot of different flavors to the veggies, which were very fresh. Everything together was just something else, an experience I had never had eating a burger. Im not a pickle person but I ate them with my burger because everything complemented each other so well. Also the blackened fries are amazing, nothing Ive ever had before, definitely the best fries Ive had as well. Lastly the customer service was top notch, Dave really seems to care about his restaurant/food, and also making sure the customer is completely satisfied. He seems very confident about his skills, and now I see why. After going the for the first time, I will definitely be back and try the rest of the menu.

Obsessed. Im pretty picky when it comes to meat - if I bite into a sandwich and theres a ton of fat or the meat is chewy Im done. This Philly cheesesteak was amazing, love the super thin steak and chunks of mushrooms, peppers, and onions. Got my father the marsala burger, his review is its great and he loves the sauce - I cannot stress enough what high praise that is from my Italian father. This is also one of the only times he didnt finish a burger, he says they just give you so much food (also a huge positive in his mind). Pakora and Big Juicy burgers were also really good. Overall everything tastes fresh and whatever magic sauces they put on each of these are incredible.Took advice from others and got the black fries and will definitely order them again. However we also got the spicy and white fries, you really cant go wrong.

Absolutely fantastic burgers; I had the black and blue and it was cooked to perfection, huge portion, and three different types of endless fries! Jessica, our server was on top of everything and always with a smile! Dave came out and wanted to make sure everything was cooked perfectly. This place has great food and it is done by the hands of a professional chef No Doubt. I can tell that hes really enjoys making food and making customers happy through his food. I only get four stars because I had inquired a little bit about certain items on the menu and he didnt have much of an answer other than telling me to try it try it try it and can possibly be construed as a bit rude but with the best intentions. Almost comes off a bit arrogant but that is good in a way to because that Aryans come from confidence and confidence comes from experience so with that I say if you want a good eating then this is a place you can bring your whole family. Its mid-range prices but you could eat cheap there as well and still get a good meal. I went there with my three-year-old son and ordered to Gyros and the black fries which are his signature fries apparently. They were pretty good but not something that I would chase down again.

Do not be put off by the exterior of Daves Gourmet Burgers. This place has the best burgers by far. Everything is made to order by Chef Dave Khan. Its clear he is passionate about his food and it truly shows. We were hesitant about the black fries...but as soon as we tasted one we were sold...amazing!! Daves Gourmet Burgers is an absolute must try. You will not be disappointed!!

Always enjoy going to Daves. Owner is easy going and friendly to talk with, "black fries" are exotic and tasty, and burgers are always just right. Plus if youre adventurous the unusual game burgers are super cool!

I ordered the California Stack burger and it was amazing. The owner, I forgot his name, but he was the most personable person I’ve met down here so far. He told me an amazing story and served me an amazing burger. What more could you want from a burger joint?
