Dauphine in Amsterdam

I tried egg benedict with the red smoothie. It was very nice and probably one of the best egg benedict I have ever had.Tip: dont forget to add avacado and extra bacon to make it more delicious

Great food and beers in a traditional Dutch Bar!

Good quality French/international food, but the real attraction of the place is the space and atmosphere. Even though there are many tables and it’s usually full, The high ceiling and the design of the place create a feeling of privacy within a crowd. Service is attentive, but can be slow because of the sheer volume of people. Good for an unhurried lunch and discussion close to Amstel station.

Went here with a friend and can recommend it. Great location close to amstel station so you can plan to have some drinks together. Food was great - veggies not overdone as often the case. We both made some substitutes and my friend did not get what she wanted. The main dishs are not very large portions and she didnt want carbs so she was still quite hungry afterwards. They were very considerate and apologetic though and gave her a free desert, which bumped up an otherwise lower rating.Great problem solving! We will probably come again!

Great standby coffee place and meeting location. Full of BNR personalities and local businesspeople looking for a place to eat outside of WeWork next door. Consistently solid service and friendly staff. Food is basic but not terrible. Harmless, really.

Great service, a very nice and diverse for offeringm. They just need to work more on the delivery. I had a tuna main that was overcooked. It is a difficult fish but still... The desert plum tarte Tatin was really good, 10/10 but it came with a blob of creme fraiche instead of a light sorbet of even vanilla ice cream. I also had a bloody Mary with very little alcohol in it. So I would say work in progress but overall a good experience.

Waiters welcome you with a dry tone to ask you to wait, take your order after the latest arrived customers, and you wait 15 mns for a Cold Capuccino!Avoid this place!

Great food! visited here twice on my trip and both times didnt disappoint

It remains a nice place but the service is awfull (at times and depending who works the shiftwaited for more than 35 minutes for just a soda, and the table next to me was not cleaned (dirty dishesfor that same period ....

Tasty food. Has good vegetarian and vegan options, but vegan burger was a bit spicy. Price worthy!

Delicious food in interesting surroundings. I went to Dauphine on a business trip, staying at a hotel close by. Even on a Monday evening the restaurant part was well booked with multiple tables hosting a large party. The menu is small and well thought out with something for everyone. I had the softshell crab and the grilled sea bass. Both well prepared and arranged in an appealing way on the plate. And just mouthwatering delicious!3 courses, wine, coffee for a fair price!

The location and decoration of this restaurant is great. There is a wide variety on the menu. I really like the add in options of the omelette: I chose avocado, spinach and champignons which made it very tasty and filling. The service is variable is it not always easy to get the attention from some waitresses. Overall a nice experience. Thanks!

Not worth stopping by, this place just wants to put off a show without giving you any. Had some drinks, snacks and oysters there with friends but couldn’t even finish the meal because of the quality. It just didn’t meet its price🥹

They serve good cocktails, especially the spritz was properly made. Tasty ravioli, but small portion relative to the price.

Actually i would rather rate it 3.5We had a very nice and friendly waitress, and the other staff also: kudosNot a lot of staff who dont know what they are doing, but just enough and professional. I like that.About the food. I had the risotto and lamb shank and cheeses from Kef to finish it off. This was all very nice. The langoustine tasted just fine and the chorizo provided that lovely crunch.The lamb maybe could have been cooked just a little more, and a little more gravy would have been nice. I loved the Welsh union cake. The croutons had a taste to it i couldnt identify, so i asked the waitress, but she forgot to ask in the kitchen. That can happen, especially when a little short staffed. Also asked my colleague who had the same dish and he had the same question. Maybe it was just the sugar bread, but i suspect they added another flavor to it. It was nice though.The cheeses were very nice, but what do you expect, Kef has a reputation to maintain. They were a little cold though, Im picky about my cheese, i know. And for me a little more "exotic" would have been nice. But I prefer quality, and thats what you get.Wine wise, well I started with a Weize 0.0 (thats a beer, i knowthis was to sweet to my tasting, so i had hoped for a non alcohol wine. They didnt have any. Thats a missed opportunity. I switched to normal wine, only had 2 glasses, 1 white, 1 red. And these were fine. But if we can accommodate for vegans and allergies, that should be considered to IMHO.Last but not least, the building. I used to pass it every day walking to the station going to school and always wanted to see it from the inside. It didnt disappoint. Great to keep such striking architecture "alive".PS, the parking arrangementfacilities was very good. We shared a car and split the bill, that way even parking in Amsterdam is affordable.

Bad service, it took almost 4 hours to have dinner. They miss staff....but if so, they shouldnt take more customers that could be served properly.

Food was good, service was friendly.

We waited for drinks for more than 40 minutes, the staff was drunk and went out every minute to smoke!

Great experience! The staff was really nice, the food was fresh and tasty, I had the Shitaaki Burger, it was delicious!

The soft shell crab is a delicacy. Staff is very friendly but there are too many tables to serve, food took an hour to come. The mains were just ok, a nice Ribeye, but for the Netherlands standards (expensive and not tasty).

Ate here on a Monday night. Nice French-style food, with a vibe of "eetcafe". Service was alright. Good selection of wines. Perfect location for groups.

Excellent brasserie outside if the city center. Used to be a Renault garage, hence the name Dauphine. Big restaurant, good foods, good choice if wine and beer. Very busy at lunchtime, so make a reservation.

Probably the best lamb I’ve ever eaten. The place has a relaxed but chic atmosphere with elaborate dishes of amazing quality!

Nice atmosphere. Staff needs training. Not very friendly, not very attentive. Food was okay, but not great. Big serving of Ravioli is rather small at 18€, and tasted rather bland.

The place and the food is ok, indeed not bad at all. The service is really really slow and they dont even look at you in order not to take your order. It took us forever to dinner and it was not even half full. A bit of a disaster organisation. I remeber i have been in the past (2 years agoand the service was so much better.

Good place to meet friends or colleagues for drinks but would not recommend for food.We, three of us, ordered poached egg dishes and they were all vey sour with strong taste of vinegar.

Very decent food quality but, like seems to be the latest fashion among Amsterdam restaurants, depending on your choice of menu Dauphine’s lockdown takeaway dinner may still involve some serious home preparation. That would be OK if more explicitly communicated. However, by asking online customers to specify the exact time of dinner pickup, the clear implication is that the dinner will actually be ready for immediate consumption. In any event: we can all buy our raw steak from the butcher’s or supermarket. Ordering it from a hip restaurant means we expect it to come ready-to-eat.

Great building/atmosphere. Staff was nice. We were very let down by the food. We waited a long time for it to arrive. The Fries were very salty, the ribeye was very dry and all of it was just very mediocre. Too expensive for what you get.

Good selection of dishes. Large, spacious, and clean space. Great for lunch.

Lovely!! Great place for a single traveller from California! I had a vegetarian burger with fries and it was refreshing for it to be served with a mayonnaise aioli instead of ketchup! It was done nice and crispy and very flavorful it was absolutely filling and delicious. I said towards the back of the restaurant and again as a single dining experience, this was both pleasant and had a fun vibe.The service was great, especially seeing as EU does not move (thank goodnessas fast as us crazy Cali people do!!The menu is limited which by all great chefs is key to great fresh food and that was definitely the case here!Bottom line: delicious and great experience!!

Had the opportunity to visit the Dauphine for a wine tasting, private event. The appetizers were so good that we decided to have an early dinner there after the tasting. We were very impressed with the menu and wine selection. The place was but and lots of space. Ambiance was light and fun. Our server was knowledgeable and very pleasant! Lovely place for lunch or dinner. Also from October they April they have a wonderful dinner club with live music performances, dinner and dancing, we attended a few years ago and its something we keep planning to do again. All in all a wonderful place to visit.

I went with a large group. I had the sea bass and thought it was quite tasty.

Marvelous atmosphere, excellent food. Location is easy reachable (just take the S112 at the A10 and there is a parking lot downstairs). The atmosphere is like a modern grand cafe with nice banks and chairs and a lot of business people. Its built in an old garage, but totally restyled. The menu is very good (meat, fish and vegatarian dishesa d has a lot to choose from. Style is French with some Italian elements. The wine list is very extensive and good. Prices are very reasonable for the offered quality. Waiter/ordering system is very fast (ordered a cappuccino and got it in 90 seconds!).Definitely great place for a business lunch or upscale dininbg with the lady.

Had dinner at Club Dauphine and it was fantastic! They have an amazing selection of drinks. Their staff is incredibly courteous. The singers were phenomenal. If youre looking for an entertaining night out I highly recommend this place. This is a night to revisit!

Nice space. Service was friendly but not on the “A-game” this Sunday night.Food took very long, the steak I ordered was just warm and the portion size was good for my planned diet but didn’t match price. I still give a positive rating as a “benefit of a doubt” scenario but I know they could have done better for the evening’s total price. There was a subtle bait and switch with a Verdejo order which was only visible after the bill came, when I noted it, the waiter softly blamed me for not noticing.

Really big space with possibility of having a large group sitting at one table with chairs (and not long benches!). Very good service and helpful, smiling staff. But they can hardly compensate for the average quality of food. The only good marks go for the deserts, and the large wine list.

Two minutes walking from Amstelstation. Fresh food and warm service from their young team. Recommend: grilled beef tenderloin, oysters, and fruits de mer.

It is a spacious restaurant with extensive choices. The food is well prepared and tasty. If you are fan of oysters and sea food, they have fresh and delicious ones as well. Stuff are very friendly. The restaurant is surrounded by a couple of companies, therefore during the week in the early evenings it is crowded with employees.

Fun place to go for dinner with friends. Crowded and bustling, not very cosy.
