Darkhorse Restaurant Bar - Modern European restaurant in Ḩalfāyā, Syria
Superb food, should really cost more considering the quality, excellent. Service was great, friendly staff, lovely setting as well. Will be back for sure.
This place is great if you want to eat a good dinner.
What a fabulous restaurant. We went before the Abba show. Delicious food and great service. The Hake risotto was sensational. lovely waitress and barman
A large charming establishment with seating for dining parties of all sizes.Exquisite Mix of tasty Mediterranean influenced British cuisine.Superb Customer service!!!!!I cant fault it at all. Clean
Have a great time every time we come to Dark Horse. The food is fantastic and the staff are great. Will keep going back for more and feel very lucky to have them in our neighbourhood.
Lovely meal. Food fantastic. Staff very polite. We will definitely go back.
Fantastic food and very attentive and friendly service. Absolutely worth a visit.
Lovely place, friendly staff will deff revisit
I really wish I took photos inside especially once evening set in it was stunning, as it was so warm we chose to sit outside but its a lovely place with a lovely character inside. The staff was friendly and attentive but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our time and conversations without constantly interrupting. We used the sundowner set menu and chose the 2 courses, really good value for money. Loved my pig chop it was so succulent and cooked to perfection. We shared the 2 desserts the Creme brulee was divine and so was the hot chocolate brioche pudding I cant recommend enough! Our cocktails was quite strong and tasty definitely got our moneys worth. Definitely add this place to your list! Everything was on point cannot complain
Good food, nice staff still serving food after 21.00 on a Saturday night.👍
We had dinner here on Friday night. The food was amazing and the drinks were really special. Matt is an amazing bartender, I can recommend his old fashioned. Best I’ve ever had
Incredible food !!! Cant say more, im speechless! :great design, very professional staff, its a pleasure to visit this place :)
Really enjoyed our outdoor meal here, particularly the pork chop. Good wine selection and well made cocktails too.
Lovely restaurant in Stratford’s East Village that serves delicious tapas-style starters and a very good steak and Sunday roast. The mahogany interior design is lovely and they have a great alcohol selection to pair with their menu. Service was great and food was super tasty, would definitely come back again. I highly recommend the sirloin or lamb Sunday roast, both portions were generous and so delicious :)
We to our delight discovered the Dark Horse Sun downers (early birdmenu.. The quality is consistently high and price reasonable.
Really enjoyed our meal, l had roast boar 🐗, my wife and grandson had a fish meal, all Really good, staff very friendly, nice setting and a fair price.
Vibrant restaurant with a menu on the high-end in terms of quality (and also price, but its worth it!)You could be satisfied with both nibbles and drinks, same tapas or a full meal as they have a nice selection for all courses. A vegan menu is available. The staff is very professional, the drinks are excellent and the bar is able to accommodates personal preferences about drinks. Surely recommend!
Very good atmosphere chill and great service
Amazing food, great service, good value for money
Lovely restaurant with very good food, interesting and tasty cocktails and helpful staff. The olives for a start were delicious and different to any others I had tried, the 2 starters were both stand out - mushroom croquetas and the goats cheese. A solid espresso martini and a cocktail that I can’t remember the name off but was new to me and really drinkable. Sea bream and the onglet steak both done about as good as anyone could hope for, the sea bream especially was totally balanced and tasty. One of the staff also allowed us to order crispy new potatoes upon request, the only mild disappointments was the buttered greens that I get could have been more varied/interesting and the toffee walnut desert, with the coconut ice cream the flavours were complimentary but the pudding was just a little too tough on the outside for my liking.
We went in for an early dinner before going to the London Stadium. The menu is a great. We had salted caramel espresso martini upon arrival. Food was perfect, we had the Sirloin on the bone with butter greens and a glass of wine.Staff were lovely and our food was perfectly cooked.Would definitely recommend to anyone and we will definitely go back when in the area again.
Exceptional meal for 3 here yesterday afternoon. Everything was delicious from start to finish. Perfect cocktail and a delicious Malbec.great service too Such a lovely setting with outside dining. We will return. Would love to try their Sunday lunch.
The pollock and coffee was good. The environment was great too. Apple crumble was a little too sweet and sour for me though
They really seem to know what they are doing in the kitchen. Probably the best pork chop I have ever had.I have been there three times now, every time all of the dishes were great.
Excellent food, very good Sunday roast, good selection of items on menu. Plenty of choice on wine beer and cocktails. Medium price range. I would be happy to dine here again.
Really good meal, melted goats cheese with honey and rosemary was a rich, heady starter. Onglet steak was very tender, the others with me said their pork chops and the chicken starter was tender and juicy. Relaxed and unpretentious service.
I live in the area and I go there a lot. Food is decent and quality is consistent, I am giving one star because of the poor service. If you are hungry, dont go there, because it takes them 45 mins to bring food for a party of 3 (30 mins if its just one person). Water and bread arrives 15 mins after you place the order - yes, 15 mins, just to bring some water and the bread arrived cold, its not like they are taking the time to warm it up.Also one waiter in particular is very rude. He is a black man, with a (seeminglySpanish accent. There was once when I arrived with a bike, he gave me a seat without saying anything but later I felt like I am getting discriminated just because I have a bike, when he would move my bike around without asking me, saying that if everyone brings a bike, the restaurant will become a parking lot. My food is delayed when he was busy chatting with his colleagues. And when I asked to speak to his manager because of his attitude, he refused to bring anyone saying he is the manager. He was equally rude to other tables, to a point where the lady in a different table would ask for an other person to serve them and again he refused to bring any one.As a regular cyclist I understand that not every restaurant welcomes bikes, but I would expect to be notify when I arrive so that I can go elsewhere, without having to go through this horrible service.I am very disappointed to have received this level of service from a seemingly decent restaurant for which I am a regular.
A fantastic restaurant owned and managed by two professional chefs with over 60 years of combined experience. Matt is an incredible mixologist and makes a mean Godfather Sour - I definitely recommend it. Mas who is leading a dedicated team of waiters and waitresses is always very welcoming and has a strong customer-centric mindset. Although expensive, I cannot fault the quality of the food whatsoever - you get what you pay for! I recommend the 800g char-grilled sirloin steak (for two people). After living in London for five years, I have not experienced a better steak anywhere else. 10/10 restaurant. If you haven’t tried it yet then you know where to go!
Food came out promptly the prices are fair and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Good date night venue away from the much busier central Stratford. Service was good too
it was recommended to me for the sunday roast 🍗 I was very impressed for the quality of the food and for the variety of this dish. The place is cute and the staff is kind
First time visiting this restaurant and I’m sure it will be my last. My starter and main course was too salty; I couldn’t eat it all. My party had the same experience with their food. It’s a shame because it was my birthday, but instead of celebrating we were complaining about the food. Drinks were nice though.
Food is excellent! Went here for valentine’s dinner and everything was perfect 👌🏼
Great vibe, food, drinks and music. Very much enjoyed Sunday lunch. Slightly on the expensive side (I paid £70 for food and drinks), but thoroughly enjoyed it and was quiet enough to have a good conversation so I didnt mind.
Went last night for drinks and nibbles, and we throughly enjoyed this gem of a restaurant. The staff are fantastic, as are the drinks and starters. However, Matt was absolutely amazing serving us our cocktails which were exceptional. Will be back!
Visited for Sunday lunch and had a great time. We had a selection of starters which were all generous and very tasty. I had the porchetta roast which was a treat and a step up from the usual roast pork. The meat was very tender and my companions who had steak said it was perfectly cooked.Dark Horse has a great wine list which is definitely the best value around. I dont know of any restaurant in the area with so many choices under £30. You can order within your budget and always be happy with what youre drinking.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. The food is always incredible, service is amazing and likely to have the best cocktail in London - the salted caramel espresso martini. Will continue to come back here time and time again.
Had a bottle of wine, 2 starters and a shared piece of steak. Really nice atmosphere and staff is really helpful.
I went during a less busy afternoon so the place was quiet. The staff were attentive and made sure our dishes came when it was supposed to. The appetisers were lovely (chórizo, squid ink arranciniand I would recommend the black pig pork chop. Its a good restaurant.
I visited twice. For dinner nas for afternoon drinks and nibbles. Great service both times. The food is well prepared from quality ingredients. A good wine menu. The cocktails are creative and not too sweet. Very tasty. It would be great if the outside tables were also non-smoking during the pandemic.
Came here for a Sunday lunch and restaurant was fully booked during lunch. I ordered roast lamb roast. The lamb meat was pretty tender and juicy. I wasn’t happy with the roasted potato as it was slightly hard and not fluffy as expected inside. The Apple and apricot crumble tasted delicious and topped with ice cream yummy! Overall I think it’s a nice restaurant in East Village. I would come back again during the week for their other menu.
Very pleasant restaurant in the heart of the trendy East Village, with an unhurried service from the staff, and a great choice of menu items. Most relaxed ambience, and tables available inside or outside, under cover.
The food was lovely and the service is quick. I had the Octopus salad to start and the Lamb for mains. The lamb was done nicely and not seasoned to death like most other places. Only negative are those damn chairs, I kept hitting my elbows or the nerves around my elbows all the flippin time, get a hacksaw and chop the long arms of the backs off please!
Good food, nice staff. A good place to have a quiet lunch, a lot better than the shopping centre.
Truly a dark horse! A really nice restaurant, a little gem. Nice break from the chain restaurants located in Westfield. As soon as you walk in the lovely aroma of the cooking from the kitchen hits you. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, great selection of drinks and good, tasty food. They even sell their wine for taking away at a discounted price.
Been to Darkhorse a few times and the food is always delicious (served by super nice staff)!! The place has plenty of charm and the food never disappoints.Highlights are:- sea bream (super fresh)- arancini (Amazing Italian rice balls - as starter)- confit leg of duck- neck of lamb
We had a really lovely lunch here! We had a warm welcome when we arrived by the front of house gentleman; we hadnt a reservation but were quickly seen to a table and given menus. We ordered a couple of cocktails that were expertly crafted and lovingly presented. We quickly ordered food afterward; smoked pork hash, the pork chop and some padrón peppers. The food was a treat for the eyes and for the taste buds. I think it was the best pork chop Ive ever eaten and will be returning for another! The service was fast and friendly with good knowledge about the menu. We never felt rushed or forgotten. 10/10 theyll see us again.
Delicious! Great quality dishes, will definitely be returning!
Sublime, from the warm welcome to the intimate atmosphere and brooding soundtrack that sets the ambience, you know youre in for a treat, flavour rich, the right combination of pretence without pretentious, you feel special, the food delivers and the service is exceptional, highly recommended 🧡🍴🤗
Stopped for lunch before fed cup, lovely airy space with dark wood and copper even the toilets are a thing of beauty.Had brunch food, crab cakes and aged pork hash, just absolutely beautiful food. Strong monitors, lovely almonds and olives, really enjoyed this place!
Great food, amazing cocktails in a well designed restaurant has a high end but relaxed vibe. There is also outside seating which is great on Sunday (when the East Village market is on). There brunch menu is especially great with classics as well as some great alternatives like the Baked Chorizo, Potato and Egg or the 12 Hour Pork Hash
