Darcy's Belfast - Irish restaurant in Belfast, United Kingdom
Amazing food 👍I ordered seafood chowder and Irish stew. Both were exceeding expectations.
Fantastic food and gr8 staff. Really enjoyed the steak with the Bushmills sauce yummy yummy. Definately will b bac soon.
Food amazing, staff really friendly and helpful, great decor and ambience. Must do for dinner if in Belfast
Darcys is a little doorway tucked behind a bus shelter on Bradbury Place, a real blink and youd miss it restaurant but its an absolute hidden gem.Myself and 12 of my colleagues went last night for a Retirement Party and genuinely, it was one of the most wonderful experiences. Between us, we sampled pretty much everything on offer from the Chicken Supreme, a variety of pies, the Fish of the Day and their speciality Chowder. For desserts, the Raspberry Ruffle Cheesecake was the clear favourite with 9 of us ordering it!!From the second we walked in the door, the staff were so attentive and friendly and it was just a really brilliant evening all round. Definitely make this a priority next time youre in Belfast for a meal!
Really great food. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good portion and great home cooking. Definitely worth a visit. Staff were lovely and nice chilled out place. Delicious 😋
What a great meal! I was in with a group of siblings and we all had a fantastic time. Every part of the experience was top-drawer. The food and drink were amazing (you should try the seafood chowder!and it all came wrapped in extraordinary customer service. And the craic was brilliant…great buzz. We couldn’t have had a better time. We’ll be back soon.
You need to book in , food was awesome, quick service and good, good Guinness but glass was dirty, very nice desserts chowder was great to. Would recommend this place and be back for sure
A warm welcome, even thought I had not completed on line reservation properly, Techni Phob! Very accomadating.Great soup and roast beef.Recommended by Manager of Maggie Mays Strathmill.Loved the Decor.Eugene and Jiseph SMYTH London.
Saw this on the blog “hand luggage only”. The food was great, cute atmosphere and the staff was friendly!
Lovely place with friendly staff. Food was outstanding. Great pie and a very good beef dinner too.
Recommended if you want to try Irish style.Visit Belfast for holiday and had dinner here, food and customer service are both great. Recommend for Lamb Stew + Guinness beer.
I recommend Darcys Irish Chicken. It was really good, and Id love to come back for it. The brownie dessert was also amazing, I just wish there were more strawberries. The Seafood Chowder was also good, but I dont think its good enough to have as your entree, but I would recommend trying it as an appetizer. The Beef Pie was also okay, but I dont think it was as good as the Irish Chicken.
A hidden gem in Belfast. This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely exquisite and plentiful. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection, the chicken was a particular favourite. The desserts were also mouthwatering and delicious.I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to eat well and have a lovely time in downtown Belfast. I would also recommend you prebook a table as the restaurant has limited seating and can get quite busy.
The food here is delicious, the portions are large. The staff are very friendly. Johnny and Terry were very helpful and great guys to start a conversation with. Thanks guys. This is a must visit restaurant in Belfast.Highly recommend this place
Highly recommend to visit, a great service and amazing food. Was not too busy, but you never know so it is better to book a table in advance. Mussles were pure joy, tender with perfect sauce. Lamb veal was also very tender and tasty 😋. We havent a chance to try deserts, but those were also tempting to try, so we will definitely return to try.
Tasty, fresh, hearty comfort food. Good drink selection. Cozy atmosphere and friendly prompt service.
A real gem of a restaurant, probably some of the best food ive eaten in a long while. Staff friendly and attentive even though it was busy we never felt abandoned. Cocktails and the gin were nice, the waiter pointed us in the direction of a lovely bar with live music and we had an amazing time!
Excellent food and service great atmosphere nice and relaxing definitely recommend and will definitely be back
Ate there two nights in a row on our holiday in Belfast. Food had fantastic presentation and taste. Also enjoyed some of their cocktails. Loved all of the vegan options. Staff was friendly and sociable. Would recommend.
A very friendly atmosphere. The vegan Wellington is big and fabulous.
Food and service are absolutely amazing, for sure I will be back here each time during visit Belfast
First time eating here and I plan on coming back next time Im ever in belfast. I havent eaten a burger with such flavor in such a long time. No US burger comes close to comparison. No need for extra condiments its perfect the way it is. Also had the avocado mash which was small but still a very sharable starter. Dessert was their raspberry cheesecake which also had coconut flakes on it which honestly made the dish taste so much better burning can understand if youre not a coconut person. Still highly recommend.
Everything was just lovely. The mussels had a super tasty sauce and the Lamb Shank was just amazing🙃 All people in there were super friendly and laugh a lot.
One of the best meals I have ever had, very vegan and vegetarian friendly and the nicest staff, lovely drinks as well, its so worth it.Couldnt recommend this place more.
So pleased that I prebooked as its very busy. We found the reason for this, great friendly service, lovely restaurant and the food was delicous. Highly recommend if youre looking for a proper Irish restaurant that serves local, traditional food. The guys there are amazing and made us feel really welcome and like we were old friends - loved it in there
A really busy little place. Nice and straightforward menu, food tasted great. Service was excellent despite how busy. We were given a free drink for the slow service and we hadnt even noticed. Highly recommend, advise booking to avoid disappointment.
Wonderful Irish restaurant, highly recommended with well priced local food.Friendly staff, great atmosphere and the best chowder and lamb shank Ive ever tasted.Slightly out of the city centre but definitely worth seeking it out.Cant fault it and Id definitely go back next time Im in Belfast.
My husband and I were travelling through Belfast during Bank Holiday weekend from Canada. We called ahead for reservations and had no problem securing a table. The service was fabulous, with the staff being very friendly and chatting with us about our holiday. The bartender answered lots of questions about the local gin I asked and gave some great recommendations as well.I had the mussels and my husband the seafood chowder, both were excellent and very well-priced. The portions were very generous; great value for your money. The ambiance is also something I quite enjoyed as well. The Irish coffee is not to be missed after your meal.A hidden gem in the city for sure!
Totally authentic Northern Irish experience with fabulous food! Tucked in too quickly to take pictures of all we enjoyed. Be sure to try the seafood chowder (photoand Irish stew - though the lamb shank also looked amazing! And the Irish coffee! Thank you Darcey’s Belfast!
Nice restaurant, service was reallt good we got seated upstairs, food really tasty thanks! Chicken supreme in picture.
One of the best meals I have ever had. Everyone working there was friendly and fun to be around. The food was excellent. I recommend the lamb stew. Can’t wrong with this place.
WOW ... I had a fabulous supper tonight.I just turned up, without a reservation (I wouldnt recommend that), & nothing was too much trouble ... I had the Irish ham, beautiful tender, even better than my mammys and auntys ! then the pavlova, very light, light as a feather, must be 0% calories ... tempted dry cider was good too ..thank you Jonny for great service 😉👍🏻
This place came highly recommended by our taxi driver, and it lived up to his description. Exceptional service. Authentic home style food. Plan on taking a to go box home, so you can save room for dessert.
Great food quality, nice staff. Just the place is a slightly bit too loud.
Really great place! Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend for an evening out!
Had the vegan wellington with onion gravy instead of sherry sauce. It’s the nicest vegan dinner I’ve had in a restaurant. Service was quick and staff were lovely. Had vegetable spring rolls for a starter too and they were delicious. I was hesitant because there was only 3 vegan mains on the menu, but I’ve never had a vegan meal done so well. Highly recommend.
Really friendly staff. The food was such beautiful quality, simple but unbelievably tasty. Also the gravy in there is better than any gravy you have ever tasted.
Tasty homemade food. Nothing is to much bother for the waiters or chefs. Really recommend trying if you havent
If traveling from out of country, this place Is a must! Wonderful traditional and delish food. The atmosphere and staff are also super. Id recommend a reservation but if a small enough group, they can sometimes make room before 7p or so. 3 people are well for under $100usd. Irish stew and ham was so tender and flavorful. My daughter had the burger which is very thick.
Pictures on Web dont do it justice, thoroughly recommend, fantastic food, fantastic steak, fantastic atmosphere. Great value for money, seriously impressive staff adding to the experience.
Food is deliciously satisfying and affordable and the ambience is great! I forgot to take pictures of the food we ordered as were hungry but I have an (almostempty plate (personally not a fan of ?peppers?carrots sorry mum 😅overall experience was AMAZING 👌👌👌👌👌
Great atmosphere and really good customer service. We had ordered mushrooms for starters and it was really good. For mains, we ordered Beef pie and stuffed chicken and both were absolutely yummy. The quantity was good enough and we were full.
Fabulous food, cannot really fault. The ham was to die for and mash silky smooth. Only slight quibble would be a few more vegetables with it. Only docking one star due to long wait to pay the bill but the staff were genuinely really busy. Brilliant start to my trip home.
Delicious food and very attentive staff. Didnt have time for dessert (limited to 90mins during busy periodsbut the starters and mains were 5⭐. Will definitely be back.
Had a meal here last night. Absolutely fantastic food, proper home cooked, good quality and tasty. The staff were really friendly. Wish we’d been here on our first night in Belfast so we could of gone again. You need to book as very popular. I’d definitely recommend.
Lovely staff and great food. Definitely recommend here if you want a nice chilled evening meal. Darcys Honey and Mustard Chicken was amazing and my partner had the Darcys Burger which was also superb.
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve eaten in years! The place was so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious.
I ordered their soup of the day and fish of the day, which were both very nice, especially the salmon. The service was good - - the waitors came to my table several times to check whether I was happy with my food or would want to make more orders, and they didnt apply service charge to my bill. I also recommend their cocktails.
The lamb stew was 11/10. My fiancé got the lamb shank and loved his meal. We ordered an appetizer of mussels... phenomenal. But the real treat was the staff. Attentive. Charismatic. Lovely. Come for the food, stay for the people. Highly recommend for any people traveling through Belfast. Worth every penny and more. Also, I usually don’t even like lamb.
Had a wonderful dinner here on Friday! We were able to get a table immediately without booking and no wait time. The vegan menu was good, options for starter main and sides which is nice! Would definitely try again!
