Dar Mama - in Marrakech, Morocco
Dar Mama in Marrakech
Description
Great food and great service! We discovered this place when we only had 2 days left in Marrakech but we went here for lunch both days. Suck good prices and you get really tasty food. Recommend!
MoreGot the beef pastille. Was a fried mess of old beef, I have not passed on many meals on my life and this was one
MoreThis place is one big restaurant seperated into two levels. The first level is a highly traditional and has a very Moroccan feel. With traditional dances throughout your dinner you are sure to enjoy. The second level which is up a winding staircase that leads into a beautiful terrace lit up by both the night sky and beautiful side lights. this is a place that deserves a returning audience.
Morehad a dinner here it was so good that we went back for another one. perfect seasoning and good portion. Good comfort food. doesnt take too long to be served.
MoreLoved it
Nice and affordable. Make sure to have cash on you as they do not accept paying by card.
MoreGood one
Totalmente recomendable.
MoreThe food was nice - we had the chicken pastilla. We sat outside which was fine except for the constant traffic. Its fun to watch the world go by but after 3 days in Marrakech, I had had enough of motorbikes!
MoreTajin and couscous were brilliant, for that price, rather top sort in Marrakech.
Tasty food, especially tajine, friendly staff and good atmosphere.
Really enjoyed the chicken tagine. Would be worth getting vege with it as it does not come with anything apart from bread. Partner had the harrira soup and enjoyed that too. Staff were very friendly too.
MorePiccolo bar ristorante ben arredato e pulito, vicino a Dar el Bashah. Camerieri gentili e disponibili.
MoreFood was average but not pricey. Good for a quick meal on a fairly busy street.
Very nice food made on the spot. I recommend the Moroccan salad and pennes arabiatta. Most dishes at 4-6€ with very relaxed atmosphere.
MoreA place for cheap dinner, so don’t expect big servings! Nothing fancy but food is decent. Chicken tajine with lemon was delicious 🙂
MoreWe went there for a drink and the place was nice even though is very close to the street. Recommended.
Loved emon chicken tagine. Made it few times since back home 😍❤️
Többször is visszatértünk.
MoreNice food. Good service. Very close to road side so quite polluted if you sit outside.
MoreGood food
Great food
Good meal
Nice place, nice tea, juice would be nicer when colder.
My neighborhood little restaurant Dar Mama is just the best for quick, inexpensive, good food. Well-situated across main street from the Dar Basha Palace guard station on Larousse corner. Just love the Senegalese guys who serve you with giant smiles and Fatima who cooks up each dish as ordered upstairs in a tiny kitchen. Always accommodating. When I have parties at my own private riad, I often order food-to-go and they whip down the Derb with a menu of just-prepared dishes. Ok, dont expect a high-end restaurant. Thats not the place. But if youre touring around Dar Bacha, or shopping at Blaouis, and hunger strikes, dont break the bank. Go to Dar Mama and be assured of a good meal. Smokers sit outdoors under umbrellas, and nonsmokers inside. At least they separate the two! Dont forget to say "hi" to Lei or Baba for me!
MoreVery local cafe. Cheap prices, very slow service, small portions.... As in very small portions & my cheese omelette had no flavour & no cheese. Very disappointing but it was very cheap. Also very cramped and right beside very loud & busy main road with lots of exhaust fumes. Not our best meal out!!
MoreThe food was poor in presentation and effort. Portion sizes were way too small. The cheese omelette barely had any cheese, zero flavour, meager portion of fries and one cherry tomato it was a joke. Plus the food took 30mins to arrive. This was not worth a visit.
MoreDecent burger, tasty drinks and good atmosphere.
Good Moroccan French Casual style ... Good burger ... Tajines ... Comfortable place you return to ... Wide selection ... For this area, clean ... Edit ... Cost was 88DH about €7 ... Included my drink ... Fairly priced
Odmiana z kurczakiem serwowana z frytkami.
Morenice place for a rest next the mainroad
Great place for lunch, or dinner with fair prices and super friendly staff. We visited for an evening tea and the next day for lunch and enjoyed both a lot.
MoreExcellent food, interesting location!
Great little restaurant selling some different Moroccan delights. Instead of just the usual Tagine and cous cous, Briwat and Pastilla were on offer too. The food was excellent and the staff really friendly. Some have commented on the small portion size. Whilst they are on the small side, the price is also very low and you get enough to fill you. Better this way than in many other places where you get far too much anyway.Would recommend
Morea good place to eat and it is cheap.
Lovely food. Roof terrace is amazing.
Really nice place to eat!Very delicious, portions are a bit small but the prices are too :)
MoreVery beautiful
Next to the Medina, very reasonable prices and great food. Sometimes theyre a little slow or they bring you the soup at the same time with the other dish. Cous cous is great!
MoreDelicious food, sympathetic staff, but the meal (Tajinewas very small. Had to stuff myself with bread.
MoreThis place was right where we stayed and was perfect after a long day of walking. The food was actually so good ( I had the couscousplus the juices. The prices are very reasonable too and the service was probably the fastest in Morroco! (Morrocans are relaxed).
MoreWe ate here yesterday night, the guys are really nice. Unluckily the location is small (for 25/30 persons but very cute.In winter you can also have dinner outside because they have some heating there too.The plates are good and well done. You can spend 160dirhan in 2 persons, which is around 16€.
MoreGreat food and amazing atmosphere!I really like to go to places where I feel that the staff is happy and well treated. The employees are super helpful and happy to serve. The space is beautiful and very photogenic. On my first time there I had a tuna toast and second time chicken tagine. They were both behind delicious. However the portions are small, which makes me happy as I eat little and dont like to see food being wasted, but if you are a person who eats a bit more you could ask for two dishes. They are reasonable priced.
MoreGood food and reasonable prices. Noisy and smely street could annoy you.
Awsome little place to eat and really friendly staff with a good atmosphere. Two of us ate mains and desert for about £20
MoreNice little cafe run by a lovely lady, great service and friendly atmosphere. The couscous was great, and the soup really good too. And the wifi actually worked well, as opposed to most places in Marrakech. A good place for a short break and energy refuel.
