Daorae Korean BBQ - Korean barbecue restaurant in Puch'on, South Korea
Tasty food. Good staff. Great service. Will come again.
food are just ok
Tried many Korean food, Daorae Korean BBQ in USJ still d best!😁😁😁
Service: 5 🌟 The staff is very good and friendly. But can see they are understaffed as this one staff is doing 3-4 things at once while trying not to burn our meat (the marinated meat did get burnt).Sitting: 3 🌟 We sat at the area to the left of the lift. Only one aircond and it was so so so hot.Food: 3 🌟 their Yuk Gae Jang used to be really good... but I went last week and it tasted so powdery. Their Tteokbokki I suspect is microwaved because when it reached our table you can see the steam but when you take a bite, its not even hot. Kind of disappointed. But the BBQ meat was good.
First time go BBQ Korean, not so much can express.
Food and service was good.. but the kimchi soup was tasteless.. if the kimchi soup was as good as the other food it would have been a 5 star! Nevertheless, good Korean food and good service!
Service is prompt though the place was very crowded during dinner. Anyway, it will be good to improve the air conditioning as its warm especially most tables are having bbq
We enjoyed all the food here!We got meat combos, all the meats has really good quality, and the staff cooked them perfectly. I recommend you order truffle steam egg. Texture was so fluffy!
Fun and delicious meal for small group. Good value for money. Get your kpop groove on!
Typically busy on weekends even during rmco. Good authentic Korean cuisine and service has improved (in the past had encountered rude servers). They have branches in Klang Valley and major cities.
Wide place and clean. Service and food is good.
Good ambience.Good service. We had BBQ meat set, and meats are well marinated and tasty. Refills of side dishes are allowed - ni wastage please.Make a reservation before going is advisable.
Nice place for a family dinner. The staff here prepared and cook all the meat for us. They were polite, and the place was clean. Lovely experience and would love to be back again. The meat and side dishes were fresh and delicious. But maybe a little bit too much for two person to order the set. Great for big eater.Parking here hard to get, so best to park a little bit further and walk to the restaurant about 100m or so.The restaurant is on first floor, but got lift for those find it hard to walk up the narrow stairs.
Have come here for years. Great atmosphere, amazing food (I highly recommend their lunch sets, their samgyeopsal, and their kimchi jjigae). The waitstaff here are very swift and friendly. I really like the barley tea as well, it’s usually served in pitchers as soon as you sit down.
The food was excellent comparing other Korean outlet and good help by the waiters
Food is generally good. Cosy place. Attentive service.
Never order any stewsSo less ingredientsHorrible banchanHow can this place deserve 4+ rating? I wonder if they pay ppl to review for them?
I give it 3 stars because the entrance towards Daorae is pretty run down especially the lift and the vibe its giving out, gotta seriously invest in getting the entrance be better overall in terms of cleanliness , scent etc. The basics.Food is great but definitely there is space for improvement. Recommended to try it out.Max approved ☑️
Over the years this has always been my fave neighbourhood Korean bbq joint in Subang. Food well priced and tastes good. Restaurant is clean and has no lingering bbq smell. The true stars however are the staff: always friendly, helpful and attentive. Hence my family would always go back here despite trying many other bbq places in the area.
We both like this place. Friendly and efficient waiter who does your barbeque for you. I also enjoyed the kimchi soup. Will go again!
Staff is very friendly. But food quality deteriorated since my last visit 2 years back. Marinated beef short ribs with bone is very tough to chew and the edible portion is very little after discarding parts that could not be chew. Marinated spicy pork shoulder taste much better with half the price but portion is small as well for 2 pax. Side dish is no longer authentic, lacks variety and doesnt taste as good compare to few years back. For the premium price we paid we cant even get decent side dish. This probably will be my last visit.
I have been visiting this Daorae USJ for almost 17 years.... And its one of my favourite Korean BBQ shop although there are so many out there now. Still serving good quality of beef and pork with lots of banchan. The kimchi hotpot and bibimbap are still so good.
Cozy restaurant with good food, good service and polite staffs!
Good food, fair price, friendly/superb service, and not too crowded (albeit parking, but there’s plenty around taipan if you know where to find). Definitely will come again!
Add in the Japanese instant noodles. I love the thick soup with those noodles. Comes with different types of veges.
Set bbq. They cook for you sides are pkay okay. The pancake and kimchi soup is better that others, but compared to buffets, youll get lesser meat for a higher average cost
Awesome restaurant for Korean BBQ. Always loved the fact that the side dishes are refillable. Highly recommended for Korean food fans. Very consistent throughout the years. The Korean owners are mostly around at the cashier area. Very friendly too!
Good food, good vibes, we thoroughly enjoyed the set meal! More than enough food for two. We recommend the chicken and pork ribs seasoned in sweet soy!Special mention to Santos who was friendly and a master of grilled meat, thanks for being the friendly face and bringing some extra joy to our evening 👍
The marinated meats is good and the chives pancake was okay. The kimchi jigae was the worst that I tasted because it was like drinking a bowl of gochuchang - no body, flavor and kimchi was so few. Certainly not value for money
Been decades in Taipan, Subang and maybe, the first Korean BBQ introduced in Taipan after many in and out Korean restaurants opened their doors.Love having Korean BBQ in here because they have generous side dishes and refillable many times as you like unlike in the malls. Only problem here is hardly to park yr car near the restaurant. The best way to park yr car is in the multiple storeys carpark building in the centre and walk all the way to this restaurant.
Came here for dinner at the invitation of a friend. We had Korean BBQ.The place is spacious and clean. It is not smoky like some of the Korean BBQ restaurant. I guess it must be due to the good vacuum and ventilation they have at the place. The food is good and delicious. The price is reasonable. And on top of that their service is fast, friendly and good. Is oils be certainly come back again for dinner and/or lunch here.If you do not have any idea how Korean BBQ works, you can always ask them for recommendations and they will even cook for you if you find it too troublesome to cook the meat yourself.Pro Tip: it is hard to find car park at this area. So you can park the multistorey car park at wisma conlay. Which is best to the restaurant. Parking is also not expensive.
Love this place and the food is just so good service very friendly and quick. Highly recommend the pork belly, soft tender pork
My favourite place to go when crave for Korean food. Service is consistently good. Love the side dishes here. Always got lot of varieties and you can refill it. For ladies, you definitely will leave this place with bbq smell hair. Be prepared!
Having dinner here tonight at the Taipan branch. Food taste is good but Waite staff are more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving. Once the ordered food is served no one comes to check if we would like more bachans or water. Now that my preferred Korea Restaurant hanwoori has closed its door no choice but to put up with this if need my Korean fix.
Nice place to hang out, most favorite are those refillable side dishes.
Abit pricey but food is good and service is excellent.
The quality of the food is pretty good, kimchi stew, haemul jeon all good. Barbecue is alright but it’s pretty much the same as most Korean places in KL. I like the service here and it is usually my go-to Korean place as the food never disappoints.
One of my favourite place for korean bbq. Their kimchi soup is pretty amazing! However, the service was a bit slow.
I use to come here and deem this my go-to Korean restaurant. It is unfortunate the food quality has dropped and not very keen with the services rendered yet the price is UP, people who worked here doesn’t feel like working kinda attitude. Was disappointed with their genting highland outlet and they had closed the genting outlet since then. Looks like overall adores services and quality has dropped. It’s no longer my go-to Korean restaurant
I have been eating here for many years and it is one of my favorite Korean dinner place. Food is good and service is fast. It is generous with serving of selections of kimchi plus always ready to refill is asked to. The Taipan branch has a challenge of finding a place to park. Pricing wise, it is a bit high though.
This brand has expanded to many places and doing very well over the years. Their side dishes are nothing to shout about if you were to compare to other Korean restaurants but their BBQ is still delicious. Their BBQ lamb is good if you’re a lamb lover. Marinated spicy pork is tasty. What I also like is their welcoming smiles and staff are attentive and helpful even though they are foreign workers.
Good food at reasonable price. Very generous portion and a lot of free small side dishes. Love their bulgogi, bibimbap and tofu soup. They even gave lollipops to the kids. Great service. The Korean boss used to send people off at the lift too
Food is delicious and everything on the menu is reasonably priced except all the BBQ meats could be a little bit on the pricey side. Good food, me and my family had a enjoyable time here.
Great Korean bbq and cold noodles. Efficient staff to help you grill your meat order so you can enjoy the meal without lifting a finger. Surprised to receive a free pajeon (pancake). Superb value for money.
No.2 korean BBQ i feel the best❤cooking are special and the meat are juicyEven just a original meat also have a different style😍
I am not sure if it is the best korean restaurant in Klang Valley but I do not need to think of any other place for Korean food. The Nepalese crew are very friendly and capable. Always in a jolly mood.
A great place if you need a K town fix. The food is always good. Bachan isnt flawed but a flood of choices. The BBQ is a must try marinated and seasoned adequately. My personal favourite is their Pollock Fish Soup. it is pretty pricey at minimum rm 25 to rm 30 per person. Waiters occasionally come across like they had too much to drink but all in all they are friendly and lively bunch.
Pleasantly inviting spacious ambiance, service came at once. we ordered Dolsot Bibimbap, Soon-Dubu-Jjigae and Sam-Gye-Tang and Herbal Tea. Tea came at once, thereafter, the Korean side dishes. Mit Bachan is forever akin the must foundation for Korean meal, my friend was utterly impressed once he started tucking into these colourful and appetizing sides. Kimchi, veggies, tofu etc etc, kimchi i is my all time favourite, the other that won my heart during this lunch was succulent cockles in a tadbit of spicy-salty-tangy sauce, my friend on the other hand hailed the healthy vegetable and tofu dishes.Mit Bachan is forever akin the must foundation for Korean meal, my friend was utterly impressed once he started tucking into these colourful and appetizing sides. Polishing off every bit of the soup, we however struggled with the "sam-gye-tang" (chicken soup with rice, garlic, scallion and Korean ginseng). Big portion for the two of us, we also couldnt stand its overpowering somewhat strong ginseng and chicken smell. We just wouldnt go any further after a mouthful each. Wasted. Gone to waste. Not a cheap meal, we paid RM74.80. Perhaps if I look at the other side of it, I think its reasonably priced, considering that portions were big, worth sharing between three or four people and taste-wise, wasnt a let down, except maybe for the rice chicken soup.
Never disappoints. One of the better place for Korean cuisine. The BBQ meats are awesome. Not forgetting the fried sohun!
Ordered two set lunches. Grossly disappointed. In my opinion, its not Korean enough (Authentic Korean). No side dishes were served before our Mains were served. They came together with our set lunches in a bento box layout. Not to mention they were cold. The food doesnt taste Korean. Just imagine, you provide a traditional Korean recipe and asked your Indonesian maid to cook it. Without proper guidance or training, your Indonesian maid will cook it the only way she knows; i.e. Indonesian style. The taste is not well balanced for a Korean palate. Thats what I meant by not Tasting Korean. I can understand it can be difficult to find talented professional cooks trained in the arts of culinary Korean cooking, at least the Head Chef should ensure the food served to his customers should taste of Korean.
