Great tasting pizza, quick and fresh with beautiful ingredients. Very expensive though, my pizza for one person was $32.
never one to post but the waitresses were so lovely, the ambience was top notch and the food was out the gate. so good
Great fresh napoli style wood fired pizza. Get a seat with a view of the pizza oven and see all the action!
Really, really good Italian food in a casual setting just off Queen St.
Großartige Spagetti Carbonara! Zur Krönung: einen Ristretto. Der Service ist sehr charmant und aufmerksam.
Excellentes pizzas, très bonne pâte! Merci à léquipe pour leur accueil chaleureux!
We ordered takeaway at the Takapuna branch. Picked up our order 15 minutes later only to get back and unpacked 5 pizzas that were all cold and soggy.Very disappointed for a first experience with Dante’s as we tried to call and let the team know and the waitress was rude and dismissive. Offered no apology and said she was too busy to talk.
Came here for dinner and was not disappointed. Sourdough base was perfect and thin sauce was on point and all the toppings felt fresh. The staff were helpful but not invasive and the decor and ambience oozed class. P.s. the dunnies(toiletsnearby are also very nice.
Excellent service, even when it is really busy, beautiful food and great ambience: 10/10! 😊🙌🏻
I’m a pizza loverAnd this falls under the category of top 3 pizzas in new ZelandIt’s a must go.
Food was delicious! Portion size little small for the price but overall lovely place and great ambiance 👍
Great food !!
BEST PIZZA in New Zealand!!! This is how real pizza tastes! Try, you won’t regret! And you will thank me for the free advice 😉
Came to the restaurant on Monday 7:50 pm and it was closed :-(Please update the open time on website (Google).
Italian food and wine are delicious. But the main point is the service : Salvatore, Guiseppe and the others make you feel at home. They joke with you, propose to test wine or food you dont know, do special attention for you ! Its just awesome.
Fantastic place hidden in the heart of Auckland. Staff and service was great. The Chef Federico made amazing pizzas!
I had seafood risotto. The dish was average using cheap frozen seafood. I was standing at the front door for 5 mins waiting to be greeted but the waitress was busy chatting with another customer even though she did see me. Noone bothered asking if the food was alright, do I need pepper or chilli oil or cheese? Disappointing service and food ingredients compared to the amazing Dante’s Pizza in Takapuna. Not worth the price. I was pretty hungry, anything could taste divine but it wasn’t the case. Give this place a miss.
Excellent food. Great staff. Would recommend 10/10
Delicious dinner 100% Italian made, word of an Italian!Federico e Salvatore absolutely fantastic, made us feel welcome and prepared marvelous pizza and pasta for me, my girlfriend and her family. They really make the difference!
Absolutely the best pizza I have had in Auckland! Will be back. Thank you !
Quattro Formaggio is my favourite by far. Feels like home.
Not worth the money.
.(01/2018)Wheelchair accessible entrance is available from Swanson Street, next to the fitness centre - as updated by the owner of Jar Story.......................................(09/2018)This Italian food outlet is located inside Queens Rise and can be easily spotted. Conveniently accessible.Well maintained and organised.Limited but comfortable seating is available in front of this outlet. Beautiful ambiance and nice atmosphere. Service is well-timed and cordial. Welcoming staff.Food is delicious, specially the pizzas. Good presentation. The cheese is imported directly from Italy as was informed by the staff.Plentiful food options although limited choice for vegans and vegetarians specially due to cheese being made from animal rennet. The chef was very courteous to make vegetarian pizzas without cheese on request.Fresh preparations. Table service. Offers takeaways.Good for small groups and catch-ups.Normally busy during lunch hours.Good for quick visits. Outdoor seating is not available.Reservation cannot be made in advance.Good place for quick bite.Could not notice wheelchair accessible seating or high chair in plain view at this location. There is no dedicated parking area available and entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
Delicious!
I’ve been here on a Friday lunch and had a classic Regina Margherita and it was delicious best pizza in Auckland
Had the carne pizza for the main and profiteroles for dessert, highly recommend this restaurant to all. The service was quick and the food was very good, would definitely come again.
This is the BEST Italian restaurant in Auckland. They specialise in wood fired pizzas and the "Carne" is the best! Honestly, all the ingredients are super fresh, even the tomatoes which are all heirloom and everything is handmade. All the pasta dishes are incredible too and this location is in the CBD so excellent for in down dining. The owners and service are impeccable too. Great value for money with nice portions. Check it out you will be impressed and delighted.
We dined at Dantes in Queens Rise to sample the best of Neopilitana cuisine and tried the pannouzi vegetariana (vegetarian Napoli street subwith a glass of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and I absolutely loved my dish as well as a vegetarian pizza and tiramisu.Food arrived within 10 minutes and was exquisite. The dessert was very memorable too.
We ordered 1 pasta, 1 pizza, and the nutella dessert. All were delicious! Staff were friendly and attentive plus the mocktail was refreshing. Well be back again sometime!
I ordered the "Simple Baked Lasagne" and the menu said "slow cooked beef with roasted carrots, onions and celery, in red wine and San Marzano tomato." Sounds awesome. What I got was lasagne, with beef mince, and sparse, someone was keen to save the mince. When I cut through it looked more like layers of lasagne. When you say slow cooked beef, I never think sparse beef mince. The roasted carrots didnt exist, there was no hint of celery, onion or red wine. It was more a tomato sauce around the base of the lasagne. I mentioned the beef to the waitress and she said what I got is how they make it. They always use mince. It seems to me they need to change what is written on the menu.My wife ordered a spaghetti bolognese that was also underwhelming. She asked when ordering if they could add some chili to the dish and was advised yes. That seemed to have not made it to the kitchen because it arrived chili-less.I did like the pasta and just felt the whole thing was let down by being poorly put together. I really do think if they are going to print something they should deliver that instead of dropping stuff and just having a couldnt care less attitude. I am curious what the lasagne was originally intended to be like.
