The staff is friendly and great!Food was eh. No flavor. No seasoning. Even the ranch was bland and tea is near clear.

Tried this place randomly via Google maps best restaurants in Tyler Texas the food was absolutely wonderful the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was so very comfortable and cozy and the best part about it they offer free beans add a little bean bar and free Blue Bell ice cream after your meal you cant get any better than that will definitely go back

Food was good, wait staff was as good, the place was clean, and the free ice cream was a major plus! Great place to take the kids but adults will love it too!

We went in for a quick dinner and came out having eaten their usual yummy food, but also having listened to live music and gotten to do some swing dancing before we left. Watching the little kids dance with their parents was so precious, too. What a fantastic all-in-one date night experience! :)

Awesome locals joint! Beer was cold and prompt...excellent bar service, and food was hot and fresh. Would certainly visit again! OH,and they had karaoke that was so good, I thought there was a jukebox in the other room...Bon Appétit!

Always good and a diabetic can eat right unless you cant pass up the free ice cream, like me and the free chille beans ate awesome.

The food was good as usual. However, we were seated in front of counter where the beans and ice cream are dished out. The young person behind the counter was pushing the trash down in the small can with bare hands, put the lid on it, turned around and dished out beans. No hand washing AT ALL. He constantly ran his hands through his hair, then dished ice cream and beans. Nope. No more

I wanted to try something different on their menu today I tried the Kentucky pick… I could not taste the meat all I could taste was the bread and cheese…. Overall I enjoyed the restaurant I just will stick to the burgers and steaks for the future.. Always enjoy the ice cream bar and/or in the beans

I have tried to like the food here. Its overcooked and not seasoned. It literally has no taste and very greasy. No amount of salt and pepper could give the food life...in my opinion. We wont try again. After the first 2 times we should of learned our lesson.

Great food and great service. Seated right away and drink order taken and ordered right away . Short wait for food and the restuarant was busy so amazing how quickly we had our order. Fantastic place to eat.

Food was fantastic! However, we went to get ice cream and the waitress walked by and said, " guess you didnt like my service." When actually we were going to leave a cash tip. How rude of her. So, we did not leave a tip. You need better waitresses.

Every time we enter we feel welcome and taken care. The staff and food is great, it has that homestyle cooking of good food to make you want to away the day after just enjoying your meal. The servings are very generous and fresh, every time!!!

Very disappointed on Tuesday at 2 pm. Wife had pioneer chicken fried steak. It had so much grissle she couldnt eat it. I had hamburger steak. It was not seasoned, bland, onions raw. Waitress said owner would rebate 20 percent and took off $2.00.Probably will never return. Wondering if theres a new owner. Have had good food and service for several years. Its gone.

Quaint little frontier themed resturaunt and bar. The exterior does it no justice. The decorations in side are all frontier themed and fun to look at. The food was delicious, the drinks were cold. I had.chicken fried steak with fries and peas. The meal Included all you can eat chili and pinto beans and ice cream for desert. All for under $20, and I even bought a beer. My only complaint is that I did not find this little gem until my last night in Tyler.

Today was my 1st time going to Daniel Boone, I was more in love with the beans than anything else. I had the grilled chicken with pineapple and rice pilaf, it was sooo good!!!! The only item that I didnt like was the green beans, they tasted like unflavored greens.... I will definitely go back, but no more green beans. The waitress was a little testy, but when she got her tips she became very friendly 🤣.

Food was so good. The complementary beans (I tried bothwere fantastic. The complementary blue bell ice cream was so good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I love this place. Great food & great service. We tried to eat at 2 other places on Broadway on Saturday afternoon but the wait time was ridiculous. Got off the main drag & got right in. Thank goodness for Daniel Boones.

Really enjoy this place. The food is definitely comfort food, beans and cornbread, chicken fried….you name it and free ice cream for dessert. What’s not to like. Down home country atmosphere and we have always had friendly attentive service.

Great food and a very friendly staff. Doesnt look like much from.the outside but you wont be disappointed the moment you walk inside. Whether eating in the restaurant or sitting at the bar, the service is very good. Plenty of choices on the menu from wings to steaks. Great atmosphere in the Tavern. Morgan is the best bartender on East Texas! Check out the happy hour drink specials. Dont forget about the free beans and free ice cream!! Check out karaoke night on Thursday.

Awesome place to eat. We heard about this place from a friend and loved it too. The service was pretty fast and the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a home cooked meal in an ol time atmosphere.

This is a fun restaurant and it decorated well.The portions are a little small for what you pay in my opinion.(I ordered the chicken fried steak)The staff here is nice and the restaurant seemed to be clean over all

I can say weve never had a bad experience here. The food is always good and the atmosphere is fun. Im sorry I cant remember our waitresses name from the last visit, but she was fun and seemed to really enjoy her job. Thats something you dont see as much in the service industry these days.

Chicken fried steak was good, taters were runny, the free chili beans and ice cream are a nice treat too. Also the fried catfish is one of the best in town.

Amazing is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Daniel Boones! This place is my number #1 favorite restaurant. They are family owned and just celebrated their 20th anniversary of being open in Tyler. The decor is well done and always makes me smile. There are several funny quotes and sayings scattered about. I have always had good servers and service. Prices are very good for the amount of food you get. And my most favorite part of this place is not the super amazing food but the ALL YOU CAN IT BLUE BELL ICE CREAM AND BEANS. No other place I know has this. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Clean, friendly and great food.

Great service, Great food! Highly recommend the Kentucky Pig. I have ordered it twice, fried. Absolutely love it, highly recommend. My daughter got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, said it was too hot (spicy), however the onion rings were great. Free beans and ice cream included with every meal.

I like the atmosphere, really cool signs with catchy/niche sayings like "DONT DROP YOUR GUN TO HUG A GRIZZLY" I did ask for a really hard sear on my steak they did get the rare part right but the sear did not happen... it was worth going to read the signs and the turnip greens were great

Good prices, large portions on entrees. Side salad was tiny. Onion rings were not worth the upcharge, like 5 rings and slightly overcooked. Free chili beans/pinto beans. Humongous hamburger. Large beers. Excellent ambience. We sat ourself and it took a little while to get anyones attention but after that service was good. Definitely worth trying it.

The Mac & cheese bites are very good, the chili station, tittos and pickle juice chilled, good tea, are server was very nice, country fried steak which has brown gravy, husband got the bacon burger 🍔.

This was my familys first time visiting Daniel Boones on a Sunday after church. I ordered the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and side salad and it was delicious!! Not too much breading on the steak and the mashed potatoes were tasted homemade. And the different flavors of free ice cream was a total win!! Definitely going back.

Free beans and icream, thats just the icing on the cake. Dont let the store front fool ya once you walk in you are transported to a different world. Very unique decor and friendly staff leads you up to some very big decisions... what to eat. Well I had the complementary beans which were very delicious, then I had the mac-n-cheese bites as an appetizer which were delish! Then for the main course I had a classic chicken fried steak, creamy mashed potatoes all covered in a creamy white gravey, coleslaw and two slices of toast. I finished it up with their free icream which yes you guessed it is delicious. I was very impressed and happy I was able to experience this fabulous place while I was in town.

This is a great family-friendly restaurant. Our toddler loves going here because of all the decor to look at. The bean bar is great, and the food is surprisingly good. The fried pork loin I ordered tonight is some of the best I’ve ever had. The service is usually very good and the meal typically comes out quickly.

Boones is always a solid for fresh, hot food and great service, even when theyre slammed. Two varieties of complimentary "get your own" beans; Pinto and Chili Beans are always available and both are excellent. Dessert in the form of an assortment of flavors of "Dip your own Bluebell Ice Cream" is also complimentary.Ive had meals at Boones many times, but my most recent visit was this past Sunday, just after 12 when the place was packed with the after church crowd. I ordered a vegetable plate and got fresh, hot, delicious food.Go there. Youll be glad you did.

This was my first time visiting this place. I loved my experience here and i will definitely be back! For the price, I believe that you get a value for what you pay for. I ordered the one pound hamburger steak and was not disappointed. It was seasoned beautifully and was absolutely delicious. I didnt try the beans but i thought the ice cream bar was very well done with a variety of flavors. I also liked the decorations around the room and i think that it was very well done as well. Thank you for the wonderful experience and like i said.. Ill definitely be back!

This is our go to place for a quick after work dinner. Comfort food is their specialty! The Frito pie is always great and the chicken and pasta is full of both. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Support local businesses.

Great place, food was delicious every piece we had and we had a full table. Friendly staff and food came out pretty quick. The free chili beans were amazing and free blue bell ice cream for dessert! Cant beat it, large portions enough for lunch or dinner twice we all took leftovers home. Will definitely recommend and come back!
