Dana is a sanctuary do not forget that when coming and do not expect hôtel as we have in touristic town !!So the hostel is very well located with a beautifull view of the sunset. Rami, the owner, speaks very well english and is very open minded so discussion are very interesting.Tea and coffee are for free at any time.The food is amazing and cheap. The room are clean and renovated. Hot water, soap, towel, toilet paper and sheets are there if you ask.The only bad point are the dogs but Rami told us that the locals cant do anything about it without risking charges by the goverment so earplugs and bear with it its like that in every hôtel in Dana.We felt welkome and at home. Thank you Rami!

I never write reviews but this place deserves it. First of all, it is grossly overpriced. The owner asked me to pay immediately and I should have know better and not done so but I did anyway. I smelled something funky the minute I got to the room but didnt think too much about it. About an hour later when I came back in the room I smelled it again. it was so unpleasant that I asked to change rooms. The owner said it was not possible because he was fully booked. It turns out, I wound up being the only person staying there for the night! After a few hours the smell was so unbearable that I wanted to leave and asked for my money back. The owner said it was not possible. On top of that, they provide no towels, nor toilet paper nor hand soap. Grossly overpriced room with unsanitary plumbing. Dont let a bad establishment ruin your experience in Dana. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

El peor hotel de Jordania. Este sitio tiene serios problemas de plomeria que se propagan a todas las habitaciones. Ademas no proporcionan toallas, ni papel higienico ni jabon. La comida es excesivamente cara para lo que ofrecen. Tienen calentones pero no operan. Preparate para una noche fria y con muchos zancudos.

Posto strategico per il trekking, con quello che costa 10/15€ a notte ci può stare anche l’acqua fredda (a volte)! Super disponibili, appena abbiamo detto che faceva freddo sono apparse delle stufe probabilmente a petrolio :cibo ottimo

A dream. Peaceful, lovely place

This was the worst hotel i stayed, during my one week trip in Jordan. I highly unrecommend this place. First of all, hotel was run by kids. And im not joking. There was one teenage and another 10 yers boy. If you ask them, they always call some unknown managed, that we never saw. When we saw our room, we wanted to leave it and change hotel, but this phone-manage started to threaten us. At the end we stayed, we still needed place to sleep. The room... i cant say it was dirty, it was unfinished building site. Full of dust, and cold. Very very cold. We was promised hot water, but it was gone after first person took a shower. I think shower was never cleaned after construction. Restaurant is another horror story. We asked, is it open. It was. When i i asked, that they serve this phone-managed, told that they can make us traditional dinner. Because i didnt trusted him, i asked these two kids to show that can they make. It was some freezed carp from shop. In the end we went to nearest town for food. Also breakfast was a joke. Some humus and old pita. Plus, the view from restaurant - its not this amazing valley. You just see stone wall through window. The only good this about this place, that we feed homeless dog so he guarded us all night.

Difficult to rate this hotel. Yes I agree if you rate it according to the tradisional expectations for a three star hotel it does not deserve three stars, however if you rate it as a backpacker/ hiking lodge it deserve four stars. It all depends on your expectations. We enjoyed our selfs and would definitely visit again. It was freezing cold on arrival but we had piping hot water for ablutions. The room is basic but clean. The dinner and breakfast freshly prepared- wholesome Arabic food. The trail hiking with Mohammed was one of the highlights of our visit. "Wifi free" days... what a liberating experience.

Einfach aber sauber. Tolle Gastgeber, leider nur Gasheizung. Zimmer frisch renoviert. Wir hatten ein Private Room mit eigenem Bad. Wer kein Luxushotel erwartet, sondern eine lockere Atmosphäre und sehr bemühte Gastgeber ist hier richtig.

Dana nest pas riche en Hôtel, et le Dana Moon hôtel est très basique. Seulement les sanitaires sont a lextérieur des chambres, il comprend que 5 chambre qui accueille aussi les moustiques. Une nuit,une belle galère pour un prix qui nen vaut pas le coup. Beaucoup de Français étais présent. Laccueil du gérant en anglais, il reste sympa. A vous de voir

Je vind het of leuk of niks. Wij vonden het geweldig. Het is basic maar schone leuke kamers en knap sanitair. De kamers zijn leuk samengesteld. Het dinner was lekker en het ontbijt ietwat mager. De ambiance en gastvrijheid maken elk klein minpuntje weer goed!

Lovely small hotel

Great atmosphere and location. The local tour guides are friendly and the dinner and breakfast served is absolutely delicious.

مكان جميل في احضان الطبيعة. جميل ورائع. لكنه بحاجة لإعادة ترتيب وتحسين الصيانة والخدمات.

Je ny ai pas dormi, mais une pause thé et un autre pause dejeuner.Accueil génial et super chaleureux. A chaque fois la conversation sengage toute seule, et on y mange très bien pour ce prix !

Do you want to live like pigs..?Would you like to sleep in a filthy half broken bed and enjoy the polar temperature inside..?Does the idea of being cheated seems fascinating to you..?Would you like to have the opportunity to meet and greet a charlatan who pretends to be a "manager"..?Then come on folks, thats the ultimate pathetic destination for you..!

Unfortunately the comments below describe pretty much this hotel. We stayed in February for a night as part of our trekking tour to Petra. The rooms are good size, however they are cold, lots of mold, and no hot water at all. Hosts were polite, dinner and breakfast are discent. We will definitely not come back to this hotel. Probably in summer situation is different...

Très bon accueil, et chaleureux. Nous avons pris une chambre en janvier, nous étions seuls et on nous as fait un très bon prix. Le repas était excellent et très copieux.

We were generously received by the owners of the Hotel. Offered tea and given a lecture on Dana Reserve wild life. We enjoyed the discussions while watching a gorgeous sunset from the terrasse in the Rooftop of the hotel. We highly recommend the experience.

Sehr familiär und gastfreundlich. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber. Abends sitzt man draußen im Zelt auf dem Dach und isst, redet mit den Angestellten und genießt die Aussicht in den Wadi, einfach großartig und nicht teuer

На троечку. Когда пришли никого не было кроме жильцов, менеджер отсутствовал. Узнали что можно спросить в ресторане, что находится рядом. Там был мужчина, который ни слова не знал по английски, он на улице подозвал первого проходящего мимо парня гида, тот позвонил менеджеру и рассказал условия. Взял с нас аванс 20jd(+30jd потоми ушёл, сказал чтоб пришли через три часа к 13-00. Когда пришли, в гостинице никого не было, ни жильцов, ни менеджера. Выбрали себе номер сами, какой захотели. Комнат всего 6. Нашли чистые полотенца, помылись в холодном душе. К вечеру наконец пришёл менеджер и сразу стал кричать, почему мы сами взяли полотенца.Ужин вроде был нормальный, обычный без изысков. Завтрак очень скудный.

Crappy place, filthy, I would never even risk my health again and stay thereRoom full with insects, dirty, and no toiletries which was not provided nor room cleaning was done even after calling the management ... they did NOTHING!My advice... stay away from this place

This hotel is like two-face: On the one side you have the renovated nice hotel rooms, on the other side the dark and ugly face of Dana Hotel is staring at you. On the dark side the rooms are dirty, old and have a bad smell. There is mold on the walls and the beds feel moist. You dont want to spend more than 5 minutes there! We tried to get one of the nicer rooms but the management refused. The dinner and breakfast in the main buildings, which are very nice on the contrary, are okay for the price.

Superbe expérience du début à la fin. Le propriétaire, Rami, est un homme généreux et dune grande gentillesse ! Parlant un anglais impeccable, il a à coeur de nous aider et de nous offrir un service de qualité! La situation de lhotel est fantastique: vue imprenable sur la réserve, à quelques minutes de nombreuses pistes de marche ou de randonnées. Fantastique! Chambre spacieuse et très propres. Douches et toilettes avec eau chaude et ptrès propres aussi! LE petit déjeuner est typique et délicieux. POur un bon repas, lhotel vous prépare pour 7 JD de belles portions délicieuses. Vraiment tout est fait pour que ce soit parfait! Coin repos, lanternes le soir: rapport qualité-prix incroyable. Je me suis rendu compte que javais une crevaison en arrivant et Rami à changé mon pneu par une chaleur torride et avec le sourire! Quel service: nous sommes vraiment impressionnés! Merci pour 2 superbes journées!

We had a very good experience here. The manager helped us and explained everything very well without giving us the feeling that he wanted us to choose one or the other. We really liked that about this place.We also had diner and that was very tasty!The room was good, clean enough, we only missed a curtain but we had a different type of room on the other side of the street.I still really recommend this place.

Cheap, spacious, but not so clean. The breakfast on a rooftop was abundance and delicious. Fresh bread with many dipping/topping, boiled eggs, etc. The personals were nice.

Super friendly manager !

Terrible experience in December 2017. No heating in the room nor in the freezing bathroom (barely clean). Breakfast and lunch box very minimal (canned houmous). Only 1 electric plug in the room barely working. 2 toilets and just 1 functionning shower for all the rooms of the corridor. Manager seemed nice at the beginning but started pouting when we complained about the cold (we couldnt sleep at alland when we asked for breakfast at 7:30am... Perfect location for the Wadi Dana Trail. Dinner was nice but no variety. Overall not recommanded.

Never go there.. Place has alot to be done to be called a hotel.. No tissues, toilet water is very weak, spiders all over the walls, not professional at all but not aggressive

Fuimos 12 personas en pleno invierno. Sólo había 2 estufas de propano que nos fuimos pasando entre las 4 habitaciones para combatir el frio intenso, pero no más de 15min por habitación o empezaba a oler a gas.Las habitaciones eran amplias, dobles o triples y bonitas.El baño tiene 2 wc y dos duchas con un termo eléctrico muy pequeño.El desayuno te lo sirven en un local al lado y no está mal.Nos organizaron un treking con guia en el parque natural.En resumen, es un sitio muy modesto y con pocos lujos, pero suficinte para una noche.

Great place! Friendly staff, astonishing view, nice community and rooftop place to chill. Only the bathroom needed a renovation.
