Worst fish and chips I’ve seen in my life came straight out of a yellow packet in a freezer from the look of it

Wow what a great evening!! Massive thank you to chef Connor and team on a fantastic Fathers Day evening. The food was an unreal, delicious, belly busting feast!! From the surf & turf, fish and chip, vol au vents,steak sandwich and peppered chicken to the brownies and sticky toffee pudding it was out of this world!! We were even eyeing up the table near us with their fab looking sticky ribs 😋 if only we had spare bellies left 🤪 top class staff all round johnny, niamh and rebecca!!!

We stopped in here for a couple of pints on a very wet Saturday evening. A lovely pub. Very relaxing and lovely welcoming staff. We will visit when we are in Ennis again. The Guinness is perfect.

*update : First time having the food here was very very tasty had the vól au vent. Food was well done and prepared. There was music playing nicely on the speakers but then the DJ came on, unfortunately played the music way too loud in an empty bar and just made the end of the night uncomfortable. So we left.Dans is a fantastic bar. Usually a dj about 10 or 11. Always playing some of the best music. Any requests can be made too. The drink is always great havent had a bad one so far.The bouncers on the door are usually strict enough but bare in mind you will find many a hen/stag party and birthday party here

First time in Dans. Great pub. Good food. Service 10/10. Cant believe I havent been here before. Highly recommend for a group. Booze and Tapas. Cant go wrong

Recently renovated, very impressed with the new look/decor. The food was well beyond expectation for bar grub. Very impressed all round.

Great staff. Food is delicious. The Lebanese Chicken dish is do flavoursome. Not shy on portions. Also, the soup is really tasty too. My go to for food when I get to Ennis.

Throughly enjoyed our amazing meal at dan o connells bar , seafood linguine was just delish and brendans steak was "the best" in town , followed by desert yummie "strawberry diacoreys" 🤣. All brought to our table in ample time , with an amazing smile and friendly service frm the staff, thank you so much to the wonderful majella who as always is the ever efficient, tentitve and best the hostess, who keeps the place running smoothly. Deffo our favourite place in town 🔷️🔷️🔷️🔷️🔷️❣❣ thank you guys

Met a friend for lunch here on Monday last, staff and food was excellent. Very enjoyable experience...I will b back

Came here recently with my sister and were greeted by a lovely waitress Niamh. She got us a seat and gave us the specials aswell. My sister got an amazing Chicken Ceasar Salad and I got an Italian Cibiatta with fries. It was all amazing, especially Niamh. She was so welcoming and accommodating.

Dan O Connell"s is a fabulous place to eat. We had fabulous meals. Everything was 100%. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great friendly staff.

Went up here for a night out recently with my father and one of his friends. Once we arrived, we found a lovely seating area with good spacing between other tables and overall great area. Once we were down, our orders were taken. We were having drinks only. Unfortunately, since Im still underaged I just ordered a rock shandy. My father and his friend both ordered Coors light. The two of them said the drink was fabulous, and I enjoyed the rock shandy myself. Bit too much orange in it, but overall good. Service was also great, being very fast.

The food was nice. The staff were very nice and checked on us regularly. I will go there again.

We came here with our little ones and were at first a little nervous about it not being good for families but were really glad we gave it a chance! We were quickly ushered upstairs by the sweet waitress and treated to one of our favorite dinners in Ireland. The upstairs section is very nice and you can just make out the happy sounds of Irish music and singing below. We hope to be able to visit again.

The service is fantastic and the bartender was very friendly and helpful. She took the time to explain some local dishes and drinks. The atmosphere with live music was outstanding. The food was good, especially the lamb stew.

Really great food for affordable prices. The staff was really friendly and the Guinness bread that came before the we ordered was so good that I could have just continued eating that. The seafood chowder afterwards was the be at I had in all of Ireland yet.

This bar is fine if you like beer but not much else is on offer! I certainly would not recommend this bar for anyone on holidays!!! To give an example, I recently went to this bar and asked for an Irish coffee, pretty easy order that you would imagine any ‘Irish’ bar would be able to fulfill, but no, they didn’t have cream. So I ordered a hot whiskey only to be told that they didn’t have lemon or cloves! My husband then ordered a coffee, the bar maid rushed away got the coffee left it on the counter and then told my husband that they didn’t have any milk!!! Total joke!!! This bar is possibly the worst in Ennis and I would go so far as to say the whole County! Avoid at all costs

Lovely setting,nice little selection of food and good drinks very friendly staff.

Brilliant bar and interesting building. The bar as cosy with some dinky areas with history. Staff were warm and very welcoming. You can even pour a Guiness may be.
