Artisan coffee, gourmet frozen yogurt and healthy bites in a quirky, vibrant cafe with grass carpet.
Daisy Green in Machinga
Description
This is a cute hidden cafe away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street nearby, we’ve visited 4 times, each being exceptional. Lovely service, although you do need to book if you want to sit downstairs and Saturdays are quite busy. As far as coffee goes, this is probably one of the best I’ve had in London, it never disappoints and we keep coming back! They have an array of cakes and they’re delicious and not overly sweet. Overall great experience, and even better coffee.
MoreWonderful breakfast. The vibes are nice. The staff are welcoming though I visited very early with no reservation.Highly recommended and definitely will visit again ❤️
MoreThis is the best coffee ever! And the atmosphere is amazing, lovely decor. Ive only had a chance to try the desserts but they were yummy. Definitely recommend!
MoreCasual cafe, friendly service, you must book a table to try their food, many occasional customers turned away over the weekend. For a quick visit or takeaway, there is a decent selection of Lamingtons. The peach one wasnt great, too dry, I wouldnt recommend.Coffee was ok. They have some collectable cans, only bundles of 3 available in store. So, I ordered a couple on their website: only one - the Ziggy Green - was in a can, the microlot came in a normal coffee bag (and coffee didnt taste special either; and I tried nearly all coffee specialists in London...).In short, this cafe seems more appropriate for Insta posts rather than exceptional quality.
MoreThe air in the main downstairs room feels very stifling. The food was alright, service was ok as well but nothing outstanding tbh.
MoreGot to sit outside and ordered from the app. The poached eggs were perfect and the bacon roti was a lovely alternative to your standard brjnch options!
MoreFinally found a great coffee shop for oat lattes in this neighborhood (tried two other places…meh). Just give me smooth microfoam, decent latte art, and a perfect complement of milk to espresso….this place nailed it. Also got a croissant and while it was not really crispy at all, it had a chewy butteriness that made it hard to stop eating.
MoreReally nice location, and the food is great like in all of their locations.
Oh Daisy Green.. Just one of those places that has everything. Really, really good food. As you can see we went there twice. And both times the food was amazing. They have gluten free and lactose free options, what was great for my girlfriend. The staff was helpful and friendly. Its a populair place but we didnt need to wait long for our food. You need to go there when you are in London.
MoreAbsolutely amazing! Yummy and healthy meal with the best coffee I’ve had in England.
MoreLets be honest, if you dont like food nerd type dishes, or paying a lot for breakfast, this isnt the place for you.BUT...if you appreciate good ingredients, put together into delicious dishes, served in a cool venue, get yourself here ASAP!We had the avo on toast and the shakshuka for breakfast, plus a lamington for after because we couldnt say no when they have a standalone lamington menu. All were delicious! The drinks, including the coffee, were great and the staff were lovely.Oh and the music was awesome! Will definitely be back here or to one of the sister venues on a future London visit.
MoreA wonderful hidden gem, delightful staff, Saf our waitress was attentive and equally charming. The coffee was scrumptious and the food equally so. I had the Eggs royal, two perfectly poached eggs on rye wrapped in smoked salmon in an exquisite lemon hollandaise ( I skipped the chilli pestoavocado and fresh baby spinach on the side with some grilled halloumi. Not a crumb left on the plate... I will be back.
MoreTheir breakfast was delicious and beautiful, I will try it again. The Shakshuka was very tasty ❤️🥰
MoreTried out this spot this weekend and loved it so much! The location is great and the decor is even cuter. I ordered and a latte and the peach French toast. My husband got a berry juice and avocado toast and it was delicious! I let them know of my food allergies and appreciated how thoughtful they were. Would return!
MoreDelicious breakfast Plates with good black tea, coffee or juice ( my favorite plate is Smoked salmon Royal 👍
MoreDisappointing experience for their bottomless brunch. Did not have enough staff on - ended up waiting over an hour between courses (the simply forgot about us until we went to the kitchen to remind themand they were incredibly slow refilling the Prosecco. Given the price has increased by I think 25% in the last year, youd expect better service.
MoreThe brunch was amazing and the drinks were very good. The place is cute and nice. The food took longer than expected.
MoreGreat staff: very friendly and very helpfulI ordered an iced latte and toffee cake … both were nice
MoreIt’s a small cute place, I really liked the food, the bread was so fresh and amount of avocado was generous ❤️ would definitely come back again if I visit London
MoreNice little place, with lots of seating downstairs. The brunch items on the menu are really tasty! Will come back when in the area!
MoreFood: 5/5Drinks: 5/5Service: 5/5Atmosphere: 4/5 (no A/C, chairs could be more comfortable)We went to Daisy Green for breakfast and the food was amazing! Excellent presentation, well balanced flavors, and a casual atmosphere.I ordered the Fancy bacon roll, an iced latte, and the green D-tox. My wife ordered the sweet corn fritters and the same two beverages. Everything came out quickly and was delicious!I highly recommend Daisy Green for anyone looking for a quick bite with friends.
MoreGood coffee..Was looking forward to trying the food here for a long time with my wife and it was rather disappointing especially for the 40 minute wait and the price we paid. Stone cold poached eggs and when given new ones hot on outside but again cold in the middle.
MoreAbsolute gem of a place with amazing staff - thank you to Valentina!I went on my birthday with my partner. The food was wonderful - we went for the salmon/poached egg and the smashed avocado. For drinks, the green detox is really refreshing.Felt full and healthy after! Would recommend sitting out back downstairs.
MoreChill music, lights and flowers all around cozy tables: Daisy Green atmosphere really jumpstarts your day, with its savoury and sweet treats. I tried their signature banana bread sandwich and it was simply delicious 😋🥮🍰🥧
MoreExcellent place for breakfast - enjoyed aSMASHED AVOCADO w/poached eggs. Service was great as well.
MoreGreat food, smart menu and friendly staff. A bit overpriced.
I would recommend to book in advance - you can still get a table if you dont but expect to queue. Service was great & staff are really efficient and quick. The food is excellent!! We ordered the eggs & salmon (with a portion of sausagesand the avocado toast (with 2 poached eggs and a portion of halloumi). Big portions and very generous with the avocado / additional sides. They offer chargriled sourdough which comes out black so dont be alarmed! Tastes amazing!! Ample seating downstairs! Great decor! 100% recommend and will be coming back!
MoreThe food here is ok, but not amazing. I got the avocado toast with charcoal sourdough. The bacon was not fully cooked. The sourdough felt like a gimmick to be black rather than something that actually tasted better. And the food was slow to come out.
MoreNice place, in front of the Leonard hotel. Their cakes are unique and fulfilling.
MoreBeautiful decor. The food looked fantastic. Very tasty breakfast. Food however was very cold. Tasty lamingtons!
MoreI had an amazing breakfast here. The place is so nice and the food is delicious. The service is brilliant. They have a big menu and everything is homemade. The coffee is very good as well!100% recommended
MorePopped in for a coffee and wasnt disappointed. The coffee was the best weve ever tasted, the pancakes were amazing and the staff were poilet and friendly. We were so impressed we booked a table for breakfast the next day, which again was superb. Highly recommended.
MoreAwful cakes - dry and over pricedSaturday morning. Very busy here. Picked up a red velvet cake to go. Cake is dry and tasteless and not even fit for my dog to eat.Even if it was cheaper. I wouldn’t recommend it. Just simply awful food.
MoreWe had some shakshuka and pancakes. I must say we were satisfied. Matcha can be better quality though.
MoreSo much good memories here. Food always good with our eyes and mouth. We will come back here again.
MoreBeautiful place, beautiful dishes, tasty but not quite balanced.
Beautiful dishes but not as great as they look. we took the smashed avocado that was quite disappointing, the sweetcorn that was nice, and the fancy bacon with halumi instead of bacon that was great.
MoreHad a wonderful breakfast with my family. It is a lovely small coffee shop. The decoration and the design is fine and artistic. The sitting place in a lower floor, underground, but is well lit and the decorations make it feel like a graden. The service is very pleasant. There is a wide selection of dishes. The food is really tasty and served in nice dishes and decorated beautifully.Prices are reasonable.Overall remarkable experience.
MoreIm not a brunch person, but at that awkward time of day we couldnt be happier than to find this little gem. Definitely worth a visit, great food at a reasonable price for London. Have to recommend the Smoked Salmon Royal, beautiful!!! And the staff were so lovely and friendly, just a great little place.
MoreLoved this place from the outside to the food. There is sweet and sour menus for brunch loved the idea of a cute upstairs and a more alternative lower floor. The food again was really good, we had the salmon toast and the pancakes, would loose the dried tomato in the salmon toast but otherwise amazing experience.
MoreCosy little place with warm and lovely hosts. The smoked salmon was delicious and the flatwhite on point.Cant recommend enough for your next breakfast.
MorePlace is so warm and friendly. Food was really great too! The lemon cake was one of the most incredible cakes I have ever eaten and made me want to eat a million more! Service was a bit slow but very nice 😊 only thing is found the coffee a bit bitter/sour side (though some prefer just my preference is oppositeyet that would not stop me from coming again! Came in the late afternoon when lunch crowd was emptying and found a place easy. Downstairs area is built to be almost a cozy hidden garden and I loved it 🥰
MoreWent here for a birthday brunch. It’s a very cute place, bigger than what it looks like from outside. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing and they even have a great selection of cakes. It’s definitely worth a visit.
MoreProbably one of the best brunches I’ve ever had! @daisygreencollection is a must.Love it so cozy and the food is so good plus their coffee is excellent! It’s very rate to find place that serve good food & coffee all together ❤️Thank you @breakfastlondon
MoreA delightful brunch spot.Tucked away nicely from the hustle and bustle of nearby Oxford Street.I originally visited back in Jan 2020 and my delayed visit was worth it.Opted for pancakes and bacon. Photos do not do this justice. Please try. I previously tried the avocado toast with salmon on charcoal toast. My dining guest tried this and commented this was extremely nice. All staff are excellent and this is well priced for London.Surprised there was no queue but a suggested app to join a queue prior to visiting is a good idea.My only concern is you have to add your payment card to hold a table in case of no show. But what happens to your card post visit? How long is this stored for? Not clear hence why I didn’t use this option. But I totally understand why no shows are a thing.Investigate, you will no be disappointed!
MoreReally delicious food (pancakes and avo toast!). Price is expensive but also not the worst in London. Such a great aesthetic.Service was a little slow but such lovely staff.
MoreFood was pretty standard, nothing to rave about. Personally, I think their activated charcoal sourdough was very disappointing. It was not toasted enough and therefore didnt have the signature sourdough crispy crust and was quite flavourless.Their back bacon was not bad, much less salty than what you would usually get in other breakfast/brunch restaurants. The oat latte was good but this isnt enough to entice me to come back again. The dinning environment was pretty comfortable and clean, though there were many loud diners which made conversations with my friend difficult. Service was not the friendliest.Overall, I wouldnt recommend this restaurant. Theres plenty of brunch restaurants in London which are much better options.
MoreBrunch with friends - got the Healthy Start, was pretty tasty and but the portion size was not very filling, especially considering there was no toast. Also got the orange juice, all good. Bit disappointed that their website lists smoothies, but the cafe does not offer these on the menu.
MoreVery beautiful and cute café in central London. Staff is super friendly and the food is delicious as well!Prices are incredibly high compared to what you get but I guess that’s the only way to afford this location! Can recommend the banana bread sandwich and the rye bread with salmon and eggs
MoreWhere do I begin? The café is so beautiful decorated with flowers from the outside and had the cutest little seating. They also have a “Secret Garden” downstairs which we didn’t see but the waitress said it’s really nice. Food ordering was done through the scanner and arrived very quickly. The food itself? Astonishing! Beautiful decorated, fantastic flavours and generous portions. The staff were SO lovely and so smiley. We absolutely loved our visit and would recommend to anyone...UPDATE: This is the second time I come to this beautiful place and I am always mesmerised by how incredible the food quality is and the customer service. If there’s one thing I appreciate its consistency and this place exceeds my expectations. The food is absolutely delicious and I just want to try everything on the menu! The staff are so friendly it’s like they are welcoming you into their house.I would highly recommend this place as they do an incredible brunch and I have yet to try their bottomless brunch.
