This was by far the worst experience at a Dairy Queen. We stopped on our way home from vacation looking for a nice meal to tide us over for the 4 hours we still had to drive. We ordered at 4:45 pm. We ordered two burgers combos and asked that they be Texas sized. They were not Texas sized on the recipe. The cashier didn’t read off what we ordered to double check it. Once cashed out they walked away didn’t give us our cups for drinks. I stood there and waited he walked back by and I had to ask for the cups. We sat down at the nearest booth and waited, and waited, and waited. At 5:10 pm my husband went back to the register and got a refund for our order we waisted almost 30 minutes of our trip home. If I could give 0 stars I would. This was a horrible experience. Now we are angry and hungry continuing our drive home.

Tables were dirty. All the tables. Blah food. No flavor, skimpy on tomatoes, lettuce and onion. THE FLIES WERE HORRENDOUS!!!!!! Flies outnumbered the people 10:1

MoreSat at the drive thru for 5 min and no one said anything, even though we could clearly see employees in the building (yes it was open and no other customers in the building.Husband instead goes in to order, I open my tacos after he brings them out and there is a dead fly right on top of my taco. Scared to eat my fried or drink my Coke since we don’t know what maybe in it. Waste of money and time, this location is horrible.
MoreFood was good but so many flies in the store. I counted at least 10 while waiting for my food. This was a usual stop for us but not sure Ill do it again. There were dead flies that were left on the windows as well. Noticed that half way through my meal.

DQ in Childress TX. Went to get steak finger basket. They didnt have any so had to settle for chicken strips. Food was okay but the place needed a good cleaning. French fries and napkins on the floor and flies everywhere. Also smelled like body odor and the bathroom was smelled and had paper towels everywhere from the trash can being full. Definitely wont go back!
More7-5-2022. This Dairy Queen needs HELP!! Very dirty (as you can see some of the pictures). Dead Flies everywhere, cleaning products on tables and near the food and cups in the kitchen, none of the workers were wearing hairnets or gloves, workers clothes were awful and no name tags!! The Manager needs to step up and handle this situation!! They were out of half the stuff on the menu but you didn’t know that until you waited in line for 30 minutes to order. I would NOT recommend to eat here.

MoreOne of the filthiest places I have walked in to in years. The owner obviously doesn’t care about the business. Drink station smelled like it hasn’t been cleaned in months, bathroom horrible, floors terrible. We just had ice cream to break up trip on our way to North Texas.

MoreFlies were everywhere (see photos). Honestly we were impressed with how many people were actually eating here lol. The food took about 30 minutes, and the final tragedy was that they don’t have the flamethrower burger. In the end, we were too scared to eat the food.

Food is what you expect. Cooking was a bit slow, but I was in a rush on my way to Colorado. I am sure I am biased with this comment.
MoreI didn’t have much, but let me tell you. I’m never coming back to this location. For my experience at this Dairy Queen, someone’s Blizzard sat for 15 minutes and before the drink sat, the drive-thru operator took someone’s card and put the things he/she wanted in the front and then finally he took the card back to the drive-thru window.
MoreA messed up order, nasty / out of order bathrooms and a disorganized menu make for an agonizing wait for my grub on the way back home.This whole place is like eating in a public bathroom and the ham planet of a person working the drive thru window could NOT care less.Cookie Jar blizzard slaps tho 👌🏻
MoreThis particular DQ had REAL steak fingers. Like, REAL hammered steak, instead of compressed meat product battered and deep fried. It was really good.And the lady running the drive through window was very friendly.Ill remember this DQ because we pass it going to and coming from the cabin in Colorado.Thumbs up for this location!!
MoreMy wife and I stopped here to get something to eat on a road trip. The parking lot was almost full and there were a lot of people standing around waiting inside (that should have been a clue to me). I ordered at 1:03 pm (the time was on my receipt). I didn’t receive my food until 1:46 pm. EVERYONE that was waiting was waiting anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes for their food. There were 5 people working there and they seemed to be working hard but it appears they were lacking a lot of things they needed to do their job efficiently. There was one person cooking and she was working on one order at a time. It appears they need some training or processes to get food out quicker. Orders were getting lost and she got to a point where she was making orders as you asked for your food because you had been waiting 30 minutes or longer. Whoever owns this place…this is on you! Invest in your dam business!!
MoreFood sat on the window of the kitchen for 15 minutes, people that ordered food in front of me got there food ate it and talked before leaving, I still had not received my food. Soft drinks were flat, no napkins and had to ask someone to come clean the table so I could sit down to eat. Bathrooms were nasty and had no toilet paper or paper towels. Which made me wonder if employees were washing there hands before returning to work. Would HIGHLY recommend you stay as far from this place as possible.
MoreI tell you what..... this place might have been understaffed (who isn’t these daysbut the 3 that were working behind the counter was bustin their tails! It took a little long to get our food but my goodness people were coming in the lobby and drive thru non-stop. I thought the customer service was pretty darn good considering. Kudos to the whole team!
MoreMy 5 star is for the staff. I visited around 2 pm Sunday and this place was sooo busy. But it didnt seem like they had enough staff but at the same time people were being served left and right. It did take a while for our big order but I noticed all of the small orders were going out very quickly! It was cool to see even though it seemed like they were under staffed they still did an awesome job taking care of the customers!! Was worth the visit and worth the wait. Fresh hot food and everything was on point!
MoreThe place was busy as it was Saturday night. Driving through town on my way back to CO, I used the drive through and the girl at the window was not overly friendly but she was busy. I ordered a sandwich and then back on the road, the sandwich was a mess and no napkins were in the bag.I was sick almost immediately after eating the grilled chicken sandwich. Threw up and had to stop three times for the restroom. I drove the rest of the night with a horrible stomach ache.I tossed half of the sandwich and the blizzard in the trash.
MoreI hate to be a negative Nancy, but our experience was not great. The cashier was nice and polite. But it took entirely too long to get our food. Over 30 minutes. I’m not sure why. Maybe they’re short staffed. But it was a bit ridiculous. We won’t be going back for a while.
MoreWe ordered a small oreo blizzard, and a large m&m blizzard. They did not have peanut m&m, so charged me .69 plus tax extra to add peanuts. The total was $9.93. What they don’t tell you is the small blizzard is really small! The large is at least 3X bigger, and is only a dollar more. At almost $10, they might as well put a gun to your head! Too expensive! Go to the Braum’s in Vernon. They don’t rip off their customers!
MoreMens bathroom currently out of order. A little awkward, but doing the best they can. maybe a sign on the outage we can flip that says if there are men/women/unoccupied inside.Service not bad given they just have one person working the drive through and one person working the counter.

MorePlace needs more workers and with better customer service. My wife wanted DQ so pulled off was ready to order and the young worker that took my order was rude. Told me to hold on in a rude way. Waited for about 10 minutes just for one banana split. Made it clear repeated it twice to get some nuts and whip cream. But didnt get the nuts and whip cream.
MoreStopped in for a Blizzard.There was only one car in the drive-in but it took quite a while to get them gone so we could drive up to the window and order. For some reason they did take our order at the refer station but told us to figure out what we wanted and pull up to the window.Once we got to the window we had to wait a couple minutes for her to come take our order. Then she made the blizzards.We could see why it took so long for the car before us.When We finally got our order, they were great, just how we had ordered them.If you are in a hurry, this might not be the place you want to go. It was probably caused by a staffing shortage.But if you have the time, its very worth while.

MoreI ordered a DQ Dude with NO tomatoes. The cook put tomato on it! I knew I had 10 more minutes to drive until I reached my destination. Tomato has a tendency to make a burger soggy if you dont eat it immediately. I also dont care for tomatoes on my burgers. I am not going to drive all the way back into town to get another one. Not a happy customer especially after paying just over $12 on my order. Be nice if they answered their phone!!!
MoreWaited at the speaker to order for over 10 mins, was asked to wait "JUST A SEC" multiple times! Sooooo....after all that l, I decided to walk in and order only to be told that the kitchen was closed when its 20 mins til 10pm which is truly closing time! Never in my life have I been told the kitchen is closed, period! The kitchen is supposed to remain open til 10pm! And to top it off they let 2 more people come to the drive thru and order after I was told the kitchen was closed.We will not be coming back and ill be sure to spread the word how rude this location is. I will also be taking this matter up with a corporate office.
MoreWould give zero stars if I could. We decided to give this place another try after a previous bad experience, big mistake! The man who took my order acted as if I was interrupting something important and had no personality at all. The kids meal hamburger had ketchup and mustard running everywhere and all over the place, my husbands burger had mustard running down his hands and arms. I overheard an elderly couples conversation about the same employee, they were calling him "Mr. Personality" and shaking their heads. Needless to say, wont be back to this location again!
MoreJust went through there and we were told at the speaker to order at the window. We drove to the window and waited for over 10 mins to order. We left and never placed an order. The guy inside kept saying I will be right with you but never came to the window. He also was making ice creams with no gloves on. Wont be back to this location.
MoreAbsolutely awful. No enforcement of masks in store even though there are signs on the door that they are required. Employees were wearing masks under chin while preparing food. We had to wait 25 minutes for only 3 drinks and the employees were slow and had no idea what an orange julius was. I’m usually not one to give a bad review but as a service worker I was appalled and disappointed. I blame management because these teenagers shouldn’t be expected to know how to manage a store on a busy weekend.
MoreIt was the worst. Cold food, no clean tables, rude and inattentive staff, they were all cussing and ignoring customers. The whole restaurant was dirty inside. All 5 employees kept disappearing. Bathrooms were NASTY!!!!! Definitely will NOT be eating there again. And the parking lot was also just nasty. Trash and full trash bags laid up by the entry door.
MoreIm giving them 5 stars. They were jammed packed inside and in the drive thru on a Saturday around 6pm, with only 3 people working. I felt their pain just trying to keep track of all the orders and one of them was running a register and the grill. I could tell they were stressed. Even though I had to wait a while for food it was worth it. Kudos to the 3 that were working Saturday evening 9/19/20, yall powered through very well and definitely deserve some recognition.
MoreId give this place zero stars if possible. The absolute worst Dairy Queen Ive ever been to. The guy taking our order was rude and tried to tell us the kids meal doesnt include a free treat (it does. Says so on the menu and even on the kids meal bag). He then said if we wanted one, hed have to charge us. He charged us extra for cheese on burgers but 2 came without cheese and one came with a small sprinkle of shredded cheese. The one with a whisper of cheese had so much mustard the wrapper and the bag were covered in it. We also had to wait 15 minutes for those inedible burgers. There are several other fast food places near here; go there instead!
MoreOrdered a Dude (comes w/mustard, lettuce & tomato). It was handed to me with mayo and no mustard. I asked for it to be fixed saying that there must have been a communication snafu. I waited 15 minutes and never got my sandwich. I was so upset, I didnt even ask for my money back. Not the cleanest restaurant for four oclock in the afternoon on a Monday.

More20 minutes for a burger and chicken strips. Ignored by the manager that preferred to be on her phone than expedite a laxidaysical kitchen. Time on phone is 1 min before i got the order, reciept shows order time. Is it me or is this just Texas?
MoreWe decided to stop here since we havent been to DQ in a good min. Ordered our food and sat down to wait. Didnt notice our food was out since I had my back to the counter but it was brought to our table after making some blizzards for some customers who came in after me. Had to add salt and pepper to my burger since there was a little flavor missing. The place was clean and the Tea was tasty. Tacos are way better than the burger.
