Dairy Queen in Parry Sound

Routine fast food, great ice cream treats especially the ice cream cakes, delicious chicken strips

Some of the worst CS. Workers could barely speak a lick of english. For some reason drink machine was hidden. Was hungry and short on time so I had to just get a #1 since they couldnt communicate. Toppings werent too bad, burger was pretty dry but alright and dryness didnt matter cuz buns were disgustingly soaked. Rings were very bland, soggy and undercooked in parts. Wont be coming back.

A pretty good burger and cone but a slightly unpleasant washroom.

Went in off season so not expecting the world or anything but despite having 5 staff members on and only myself and one person at the Drive thru 2 blizzards took 15 minutes to order and make.

Ordered wo burgers and they had mold on the buns. Not sure how they could not see this. I do not recommend.

Used to be good. Now awful and a waste of money.

Went to pickup 3 kids meals at drive thru the order was wrong the girl taking the order couldnt answer a couple of questions then she got very rude and threw the bags at me through the window the orders fell on the floor of vehicle no apology come on just kids meals most disappointing and we pay for this service disgusting!!!!!!!!

not the greatest food, in general, but the staff are amazing. royal blizzards and flamethrower burgers are my go-to.

Was in Parry Sound for an event and wanted to pick up some food from DQ on our way out of town for the drive home. We were hauling a boat, so needed to use the drive through. We sat at the speaker for 5 minutes and no one came to take our order. We left and ended up getting food an hour down the road.

Dont expect the staff here to be excited to see you. Im fairly sure customers get in the way, though it looks as though we might be providing welcome relief from the drudgery of working at this outdated hole of a joint.We were there on a Monday and there was one girl who looked to be actively avoiding doing any work while those around her appeared to be walking through waist-high molasses to fulfil the orders. They were as sullen a lot as I think Ive ever seen working anywhere.The washrooms were apparently last tended to at the turn of the century. If you think you can hold on to go somewhere else I strongly suggest you do so...At least the blizzards were reasonable so its not a complete write off.

Best soft serve ice cream franchise. Universally good, unless the machine isnt chilling the ice cream enough. Here it was great!

Too bad, this used to be a great DQ, been coming for over 25 years. They had almost nothing of what I ordered, barely spoke English and were extremely unhelpful. Restrooms are out of order and the whole place smells gross. You can tell some of the staff is trying their best and I feel bad for them, but clearly management and especially the ownership doesn’t care and are just gouging everyone for max profit with zero quality or customer care. Go anywhere else.

Sometimes they get it right. Usually though something gets missed. Check your bags before driving off.

I like their sundaes and dipped cones. I like their food have in the summertime. I thinking of coming here this summer. Overall good food.

Hot fudge Sunday on Saturday hot day husband had a soft cone. Yummy. Had to eat fast. Lol

Fast despite the busy times a day with the unruely kids that pack the locations.

I prefer my brazier burgers fresh off the the fire not sitting for howver long they sit in the heater. I go gor the iceream and onion rings

I purchased a Blizzard from this location and was completely disappointed. When we went through the drive through we noticed two guys in front of us that were angry and handed their order back through the window. Now we know why. I ordered a cookie dough Blizzard with extra cookie dough and only got four pieces of cookie dough in my ENTIRE Blizzard! Thats a quarter of a regular serving of cookie dough and I PAID for extra cookie dough! Im really disappointed that this location feels its okay to rip people off.

Forgot one of my burgers. . .Got home and was full of disappointment.Not a cheap burger either, paid for a burger that i never got to have. 👎UPDATE: Today They forgot my Ice Tea with my chicken strip basket.

Extremely long wait with empty building and extremely small portions.... 699 for 12 onion rings. And I watched them jiggle the extra fries out of the box so it too was about 1/2 full.... wanna hear about the chinciness of the sundae?

All the food was cold. 50$ plus. All they would do is five me the same order if I drove all the way back. Great. Thanks. Cause nobody was hungry now. Terrible service. Almost the worst PR Ive encountered. Enjoy!

Hours posted say open til 9. Went at 8:15 and drive thru was closed for some reason? I was not able to go to the door to see if the store was in fact open as its suppsoed to be, as I had my pup in the vehicle. Extremely disappointed in this establishment and have no problem driving across town to somewhere that actually follows their posted hours

Crispy Chicken Sandwich was fresh and hot.. Waited little longer but good customer service

I enjoy going to dq, but lately the food has been made very poorly. I havent had any other issues with the establishment and will be going back in hopes the food has more care put into it

Coming from kitchener going to sudbury we decided to try Dairy Queen in Parry Soundfor lunch and bring home supper. We were Rushed to read menu which is very hard to see at the angle its positioned and order. We had a hard time understanding and hearing the order person Under pressure we quickly picked 2 hamburger meals, asked for salt and ketchup , ordered 3 chicken burgers. We paid Close to 50$!! CRAZY ! I would have gotten pizza or a SteakPaid for order at 1st window,informed at 2nd window that ""Im sorry but" "chicken wasnt ready, would be in 3min ,could you please pull over to the side and I will bring it out to you"Sure,why not? Whats another notch? COULD YOU PLEASE PUT SOME SALT AND KETCHUP IN THE BAG? "Oh,SureAs we try to pull around to park, curb is in the way , its to close to building for vehicles to make a turn and not marked.we we "had to" drive over the curb ,low and behold a car parked , we had to back up to make it around the car.NOW! Back to the chicken burger 🍔It was a long ..... 3min15min later ....As were driving up the hiway to Sudbury, Im wanting a "fry" fry,KETCHUP and SALT ( in that order)GUESS WHAT ! grrrrrrr no KETCHUP, no SALTPoor poor poor Canada

Definitely the worst drive thru in Parry Sound unless its ice cream you want dont bother save your money. The burgers were certainly terrible. Worst Dairy Queen Ive ever been to. And I had to scratch my head when I saw an employee coming from the Circle K store across the road and go in the back door with 4 jugs of milk ? Sketchy at beat.

The parry sound dairy queen is the worst dairy queen ive ever been to everytime you go they are out of what you ask for the under cool the food and dont even make it properly

Wonderful food! Everything was great...except, whomever supplies the salad mix uses a preservative with that tell-tale taste which I am not a fan of. The Blizzards were great - mine was candy floss. The guys had a variety of burgers. Staff at the drive-thru were very nice and the order was correct. We have visited this location for about 30 years but maybe once or twice a year.

Very very quick service in the Drive-Thru, my order was bang on and Fries were still hot when I parked and enjoyed my meal. I highly recommend for that quick hit the spot smack. I would also like to mention theres an incredibly cute girl with blond hair working the drive-thru 😉

Great shakes, stop putting edible oil Whip cream on them! Love the butterscotch cones. Burgers great and hot.

Food was excellent..customer service was awful!! I was treated badly for ordering hot food ( a combo ten minutes before closing..the cashier even muttered to the drive thru worker who eats supper this late anyways sarcastically then when she looked & seen I was watching & heard her, tried to laugh it off..I quit going for a year, just went back last wk & the food & service was good this time during the day.

Parry Sound has limited fast food restaurants but this one is away from the others. Best to take the Parry sound Drive exit. It has lots of sit down booths/tables and offers burgers, etc. as well as ice cream I think this is one of the better Dairy Queens that we have eaten in. Parking is good and you can exit to the side street to take advantage of the stop light.

The Dairy Queen in Parry Sound is stingy n cheap with their servings. We asked for and paid extra for caramel on the Sundae and there was barely even sny caramel on it. The banana split had hardly any ice cream in it or toppings. We were very disappointed with what we were served at the Parry Sound Dairy Queen location. We will not be going back there. Sorry we could not give you a better review.

I remember Dairy Queen milkshakes from my childhood and as recent as 5 years ago and they were creamy and full of flavor ...What Ive purchased recently taste more like rice milk on ice no matter the flavour we purchase.. disappointing to say the least .

Good food, nice staff. Currently undergoing renovations, but its open and welcoming business. Lots of teens at highschool lunch hour, busy place between 11:35 and 12:10. But good to go after that.

I love it when Im made to feel like junk when ordering food at the drive through. Its my favorite to actually hear the <sigh> in the voice of the person at the other end of the speaker... Or the "drop your hands in mini protest" after I ask for a lid for the Peanut Buster Parfaits. I never have a problem spending money on something good or on excellent service, but sadly Dairy Queen hasnt had either one of those elements in quite some time. The unfortunate thing is that its happened several times, if not all the time I visit DQ; from a $20 order (3 sundaesor 3 combos and desserts (~$65 order), they always seem to be consistently annoyed with anything I order. Listen, Im never one to write a bad review, but in this case, I have honestly waited for the situation to better itself, and it never has. Really disappointing.

Waiting in the drive through for 15mins because of the order ahead of is being made. They only had a small bag of food. Make them wait in a parking space so they can serve the people behind.

Probably the worst Dairy Queen I have ever had. There service is terrible, and slow, despite having a abundance of staff working. We waited 5 minutes for our food, as we watched it sitting under the heater. It was just me and my spouse inside. I ordered chicken fingers and fries, when I got them, they were old, cold and soggy. After biting into one of the chicken fingers, it tasted and smelled like dog food. It was disgusting !

Food tastes great, hot and fresh. However across the street from a high school so it can get hectic in there. Some staff are young and customer service with a smile is not their strength.

Was just at the Parry Sound Dairy Queen with my Uncle. We went through the drive thru. He specifically asked for a one litre of fresh soft serve chocolate ice cream. Person said one moment. When they came back they said yes that they had that. We get home with it to find that it was hard ice cream that had been in the freezer for quite some time. Nothing fresh about it.He drove back to exchange it...they tell him thats all they have. He said he should have been told then and not sold something he didnt want. They said they were very busy at that time.(We were the only car in the drive thru and the parking lot was very empty)

Was there during long weekend. Wasnt that busy. Ordered a burger. Watched the clock on the order screen go from 5 min to 10 min. At 12 min I asked to speak to the manager. I didnt know why it would take that long. Her response was that it was coming and its not like they are just standing around doing nothing. I deal with customers every day and I wouldnt tell any customer that. Would not go back there.

Always make sure you get everything you order, especially when in the drive-through! You also have to ask for condiments, fries were served cold tonight and we couldnt eat them. Burgers are usually great and the kids love the chicken.
