Daiquiri Time Out - Cocktail bar in Galveston, United States
Daiquiri Time Out in Galveston
Description
Privilege
If I could give 0 stars I would. The experience was bad the first minute of walking in. The server was extremely rude and ruined the experience for us. First time in Galveston and meeting an a**hole at this place was not fun.
MoreA wide collection of mixed drinks, some old time old school, and some new school. The staff really wants you to have a good experience give them a shot...
MoreHand crafted cocktails, seasonal menus, and bartenders that actually know what they are doing! Go. Now!They added a food truck in 2022! Order at the bar and a pager lets you know when its ready. Artisanal hot dogs, grilled cheese, burgers, chicken sandwiches, veggie options, etc.
MoreBest place on the island for craft cocktails! Friendly bartenders and excellent service
MoreGreat drink menu and great bartenders.
I love this bar! Great selection of tiki cocktails that are well made.
Daiquiri Time Out GalvestonAbsolutely amazing drinks and Sarah was awesome! Highly recommend trying the Pimms cup and the Southside
MoreFun atmosphere and a great selection of drinks. Ours were tiki-styled and delicious. Easy access to a great food truck as well.
MoreSlightly hipster in the way that young people can get geeked out over something like mixology, but thank goodness someone is, because these drinks are badass! Honestly, probably as good of better than any other place in town. They also have a super cool patio that encourages a low key vibe for sippin.
MoreWent looking for more of a locals bar to grab a happy hour drink. This place has good reviews so we thought we would try it. From the outside it looks a little sketchy and we almost turned around. Super glad we didnt. The service was amazing. Drinks were all great and cheap on happy hour. I would have paid double for the old fashioned. We tried a Zombie and it comes flaming. A couple locals told us about an off menu drink "mani-pedi". And it was crazy good. Actually took one to go. They have a food truck outside. We had fries. Popcorn and Boudin balls. All very good. Our 15min stop in for a drink turned into a couple hours. We will absolutely go back. Maybe tonight. Lol. And will definitely be back every time we go to Galveston.
MoreMy friend and I took the light by the moon tour. WLked the red light district and heard stories about being haunted. We met in the evening, Nikki was really nice e
MoreGreat bartenders that know what theyre doing. They are also super friendly and knowledgeable. Every single drink my husband and I have had here has been spectacular. Its our favorite happy hour!
MoreWonderfully crafted drinks
Best cocktails Ive had in my life. Like - theyre really really good cocktails.
Best mocktail Ive ever had. Super friendly staff.
Smh, the size of the glass u only get is only 1/4 regular size drinks at other places. Happy hour drinks are 6 dollars but definitely not worth the size. The drinks on the other hand are decent.
MoreThe only place on Island I will have a cocktail. Absolutely phenomenal cocktails and extremely knowledgeable and personable bartenders!
MoreGreat place for cocktails - laid back atmosphere with lots of drink choices on the menu.
MoreGreat cocktails! Bartenders made some great mocktails for my pregnant wife.
Super friendly bartenders (guy with the big beard was awesome, believe hes the owner/manager), but the lines are absolutely killer... Worth it, but killer. Will definitely be back.
MoreDefinitely a favorite on the island and decorated so cute for the holidays! Much prefer DTO over the Miracle bar in austin!
MoreCozy custom bar where the local crowd hangs out. Super unique cocktails with fresh and tasty ingredients make these drinks over the top! Fast and friendly staff to welcome and serve you! Also very good food truck with some very unique combinations and spins old favorites. Recommended by another establishment in town and did not dissapoint!
MoreYou’re not going to find a bad drink here! Could be considered a modern day speak easy with seasonal menus and strong drinks. It’s a fun place off the beaten path. A must go! Mostly locals. But be careful please the drinks are strong AF! Cheers!
MoreWell..we wont b back. Totally over priced drinks. Margarita in a 8oz glass w cubes not crushed ice w hardly any salt. Then we got this "sandwhich" where the chicken was paper thin and cornbread under it fell apart. It was tiny and a gross amount of 12.00..totally disappointing . Plus the floor was dirty. Save your money dont go
MorePlease bring the Kendrick melt sandwich back. The world isnt right without it. One can only hope you take this serious. Bring it back Ill buy 2 a week for me and my fiance. That may have been the best sandwich in the history of sandwiches.
MoreGot a couple rum and bourbon cocktails and a couple daiquiris and they were all phenomenal! Down to earth people here in a chill environment. Perfect spot in Galveston.
MoreDTO is a real gem in Galveston! A group of friends and I were visiting from Austin and had an amazing happy hour here. The bartenders were incredibly personable and crafted delicious cocktails. Menu was a perfect curated mix of classics and unique concoctions. The atmosphere was chic and relaxing. Cant wait to come back to drink another perfect old fashioned!
MoreGood cocktails! Atmosphere could be improved. Would be nice to have more of a lounge feeling. Maybe a few couches and comfortable chairs instead of only tables?
MoreThis is the best bar in Galveston. They have to most unique and delicious drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bar itself is clean and welcoming. You have to visit if you are in Galveston. This is the place where all the locals go.
MoreVery classy cocktails, delicious and great presentation. My favorite place to go in Galveston for drinks.
MoreGreat drinks and the deserts from the food truck were excellent. The "Painkiller" is one of my favorites!
MoreWas mentioned to our group and we weren’t sure what to expect since it was off the main ‘tourist’ area. But this was a great find! Fantastic comfortable bar with great drinks for something different from the ‘Frozen daiquiri’ drinks that the main touristy stretch in Galveston has. And tasty foods to go along with it!
MoreI will cop to having some skepticism about finding decent cocktails in Galveston. I had heard good things so on a quick weekend trip my friends and I swung by for a drink. Inside was pleasant and the staff was very friendly. The menu is standard with a pretty decent selection of classics and tiki drinks. I did not see any house cocktails. I had a three dots and a dash, one friend had a jungle bird and my other friend had an old fashioned.Comparing my 3 DAAD to ones I have had at lost lake in chicago or tiki ti in LA I was really happy. Well mixed, beautifully garnished a d delicious. Because of covid I could not sample my friends drinks, bit they were really happy.I say leave the bud lights and frozen margaritas of the seawall behind and check this spot out.
MoreCame here on an impromptu visit to Galveston. I wanted a daiquiri to go, and this was the closest location. As per previous reviews, you do have to purchase a food item for a to go beverage. The atmosphere and decor was very nice inside. Service was prompt, friendly and the bar tender gave a good suggestion. I got the Zombie and trail mix and paid $12.95. The drink was sweet and strong. It came in the tiniest can known to man lol Took me for a bit of a loop as I’m used to New Orleans style “daiquiris” and this was more of a more potent lime-a-Rita. No frozen element at all. Great place for a cocktail, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here for a daiquiri.
MoreThis is a fantastic cocktail bar. The bartenders know what theyre doing and know their product, which is something thats uncommon at bars on the island. If youre a fan of the craft or simply want a great cocktail, come here.
MoreCasual meeting place for good mixed drinks. Love being outside on the patio, chilling at the end of a summer day. I found the people there very friendly and willing to share a table. Always feel like I have made new acquaintances and leave with a smile.
MoreAlways great drinks. Every high end drink and liquor you could imagine.
Excellent cocktails & staff. The decor could be a little more interesting...a tiki vibe, maybe?
MoreNice little cocktail bar in Galveston. There is no food (except for $3 nuts), which is fine if you know that ahead of time. Dont expect to go and get an appetizer or anything. But their cocktails are great.
MoreWe decided to stop in and it was a great decision. The service was great, the menu awesome, and the place quickly picked up but wasnt over crowded. Well definitely be visiting again the next time were in town!
MoreIt can’t get much better than this bar in Galveston, it’s a hidden gem! They have a vast variety of cocktails but also wine and beers. As the name of the spot, the daiquiris are a must! The strawberry one is delicious.. would also recommend the southside!
MoreStayed in gavelston for the weekend and this was the best place for cocktails near the Strand. Our bartender David was an absolute gentleman and a craftsman. Great happy hour prices. One of the best old fashioneds I ever had. Highly recommend.
MoreGreat, imaginative craft cocktails and the best selection of whiskey that Ive found on the island. I cant wait to come back here over and over again.
MoreCame for the pop up Xmas bar. Had a great time chatting with some Galveston locals. Great drinks, great bartenders and a fantastic set up. Highly recommended.
MoreGreat drinks, and a great staff to serve them to you. Easy to ask for a recommendation on your likes, and they found some items I liked based on what I told them I usually drink.Ian and Brad are very knowledgeable and very accommodating to their patrons.
MoreAmazing experience! Only in town for a couple days but already planning on going back on the way to the airport. Owner is very knowledge and provides great conversation. They have an amazing whisky and rum collection. Make sure to stop here if visiting Galveston!
MoreAmazing craft coacktails. Hated gin until May informed me on the different types and catered a drink specifically to my taste just by asking me a couple of questions.
MoreWe took a spontaneous trip to Galveston and wanted to go for drinks. We picked this spot because it was rated high. If you come to Galveston, I highly recommend coming here. The bartenders are extremely polite, attentive and knowledgeable. As soon as we sat down, they provided us with glasses of water as we looked over the menu. We came on a Saturday. There was only 3 bartenders but they worked fast. They put a lot of detail into their drinks too. Brad attended to us and he was just the best. He recommended some great drinks and even made us a special drink that he was experimenting with. Will be coming back next time I visit Galveston!
MoreCame here for some fun time! We were weirded out by the name of the bar has. You cant help but think of a daiquiri as the pink drink drowning in fruit and frozen. This place is nothing like that. They really should change the name. These were cocktails and they were damn good. Name isnt doing them justice. This place is more like a lounge. All the drinks I had were amazing and the bartender even gave me the recipe. We ordered the airmail and the southside and we approved of both!
MoreAmazing craft cocktails! Menu changes with the season. Outside back patio is a beautiful garden with lots of cozy nooks for private conversation, or open space for mingling. The bartenders are knowledgeable and professional. This is not a dive bar. Do not expect the usual. Expect the unexpected!
