Da Antonio - Italian restaurant in Vilnius, Lithuania
Amazing dishes, not a word to add, it was perfect !
Went for lunch with a friend and my partner who speaks english. The waiter completely ignored him, when he asked something - just moved on speaking lithuanian with other person - extremely disrespectful. Then a junkie arrived in front of our table and the waiter just left for us to deal with it. How such upmarket place like can allow this kind of treatment of guests, it’s mind blowing for me. Never again.
Very professional and welcoming service. Interesting chef’s compliments. Quiet pricey (pasta 19€ for a small portion, a glass of wine 14€). Food was tasty however I prefer more classic Italian dishes (traditional pastas, carpaccio without mushrooms, etc- on my opinion there’s too much of improvisation.
Unfortunately not as good as expected. A place to see and to be seen, but nothing more. Food is pretty average and the prices do not correspond to the service and quality we received. Inside seating is nicer than outside.
This places has rave reviews and we tried to book for dinner but werent successful. We went on a whim after the lunch rush but before dinner and were told that the only tables available were outside despite only table being occupied inside. Another pair arrived dressed in suits and we overheard them asking for a table without a reservation and they were instantly seated. Whilst the food was good, the portions werent exactly big, my pasta had 20 pieces of rigatoni. After leaving here went straight for a second lunch.
Very nice restaurant with a quiet ambiance. Fine fish dishes
Very good Italian in Vilnius …elegant setting ( rather dull ..very good food, well prepared ..burrata with ham and well cooked thick spaghetti Carbonara ..Both very tastyWine by the glass was so so..when will restaurants fix this ?Otherwise , very nice
Beautiful Italian restaurant in the city central of Vilnius. Lovely decorations. Very good service and welcoming. I ordered ravioli that was pretty nice. We also get some bread and grissini with olive oil. It took a little bit longer for the dishes to come and the price it quite higher then I thought.
I am not sure what was wrong. My local friends had raved about this long-established restaurant. They took.me there on the evening of the lighting of the Christmas tree on Cathedral Square; the whole city was in a festive mood, and so were we. There was nothing directly wrong. The table was reserved, the waiter swift and knowledgeable (but not courteous), the atmosphere posh (but not uplifting, rather dull and pompous). The entre (seafood soupwas nothing to write home of. Two of us were ok with our mains (steak and pasta), the third thought it was just bland (lamb). The wine (their own from Sicilywas heavy but not worth to be remembered, nor were the desserts (tiramisu with a twist). My espresso (from Lavazzawas good though. We paid with tips more than €200, and left in a sombre mood.
Pasta for 19€ so i expected something.but i guess U only pay for the Location and Style of the Restaurant. Like an average Italian Restaurant in Berlin. ( Fair price dir the Paste would be 8€. This Is Just a Tourist Restaurant
Great food, nice decoration, feels like a private restaurant. Staff are not so nice, but the food worth a visit.
A little worried at first that it would bit a bit to fancy for us. But we chose to give it a shot and was absolutely not disappointed. You get bread and sticks at first, nothing special for an Italian restaurant, but complete with a very good olive oil did the trick👍We ordered carpaccio and a chicken broth soup with tortellacci as starters. The soup was simple but VERY tasty. The carpaccio was beautifully served on a stone tablet. Resting on a bed of rocket and mushrooms with dots of truffle sauce on top it was very inviting. And a perfect taste experience. For main I ordered Ravioli with slow-cooked low temp duck meat. Perfect combination. The atmosphere was calm and the staff also nice and professional.Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a taste experience.
good food and good service
Exquisitely presented, delicious food
Pricey but worth every penny. Nice presentation and delicious food.
Stylish and High End Italian food, delicious. Nice location in the Center.
Everything is 20% more expensive than their website shows. Spaghettoni was undercooked by at least 4 minutes (al dente should not be white on the inside). Long service times. Beautiful interior, but with a decent amount of fruit flies to keep you company. Only redeeming feature is great twist on tiramisu they serve. Spend your money in other restaurants in the street, as you wont get what you pay for here.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. For starters the carpaccio was somewhat too saucy, the salmon tartar was amazing. One of the pastas was undercooked a little, a pity. For the rest the mains were nice. An Aperol Spritz for €14 is over the top (!while the mains were not that expensive. The complementary bits and bites are a nice touch. Next time we go somewhere else.
Italian is only the name. In Italian restaurants there is some Italian working inside.Italian Mozzarella at 17 euros???? 😱really too much.Better to choose some other part to eat. From an Italian.
It does nice food in a traditionally up scale setting. The food is nice, in a french style with hearty sources and meet but a little expensive. Someone has however told the chef that posh food must have lots of truffle as almost every dish is swimming in it. While I can wave that for the truffle soup some of the other dishes we had would have been just as good without the truffle.
Absolutely stunning place! Loved the food, atmosphere, overall mood. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and engaged. Higher price was totally worth the whole experience.
Delicious food and the service is amazing! Will be back! Recommend this place.
The most delicious ravioli I ever had. Also a best service and a lot of complimentary food. This place is expensive but very good.
Great staff, delicious food, cool prizes. Next time in Vilnius we are definitly gonna visit them just to try again their cool pizza.
This is the best Italian place in Vilnius. Everything is great! The service is exceptional! The place is expensive, but worth it. They pain attention to every detail. Awesome experience!
Da Antonio is one of the famous Italian restaurant in Vilnius. It has been open since 1996.Every time when I come to Vilnius I visit this place for lunch.Great atmosphere and perfect quality of food and service every time.Design of restaurant was updated on January 2020.
Unforgettable service and food....everything was far greater than I expected it to be! Professional staff and charming atmosphere! And what a food!🖤 Stupendo, magnifico, meraviglioso è tutto benissimo! Mille grazie Da Antonio 💋 Catching bathroom design as well, definitely check it out.
Best gnocchi i ever tasted. And tiramisu very unusal - with raspberries
Its a great place if youre looking for aromantic atmosphere. The staff are very nice, great kitchen, and they made me sincerely laugh a couple of times. Very positive place. Having that said - Id recommend reserving a table in advance, and preferably not on the left side off of entrance (where coat hangers and restroom are). Unless you fancy done extra traffic along your table. And yes, it isnt a cheap place, but its well worth the money
Fine Italian cooking on a high level, flawless presentation and quality, impeccable service. Been there 5 or 6 times in the past years, consistent high quality.
Foie gras was perfect! Friendly staff. Thank you 😊
Definitely the most favourite restaurant in Vilnius. The food is exceptionally delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and in a great mood.We fell in love with beef carpaccio, salmon tartare and burrata with prawns. Mains were very tasty too. Tiramisu was wow!Highly recommend coming there!
High cost, high quality. Would recommend for a special occasion.
Everything about this restaurant was great. The food was wonderful, great quality and beautifully cooked. The staff were attentive and it had a lovely ambience.
Its alright for the prices. The service is really good and the staff are friendly. But the food over all is okay at most, nothing too outstanding. But if you want to have a nice evening with your family this is an alright place. But the prices are quite outrageous :/
Delicious food, awesome chef compliments.
It is an expensive restaurant. But worth every single cent.Exceptional food, great service and atmosphere. Also, Da Antonio proves itself for more than 20 years, which says a lot about its quality, in Vilnius.Check it out!
I had delicious dinner here. Everything was very good, including staff, taste, environment. Only one component - it was expensive. But quality costs.
This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Vilnius. I try to go there at least once every time I visit Lithuania. The food choices, preparation, wine list are always excellent. The service is outstanding. This place is an excellent choice for a business or romantic dinner. Not very large and making reservation is highly advised especially during weekends. Its also a good choice for a lunch. They make excellent salads, pizzas, and the homemade pasta is always great.
This place was delightful, superb. I had the ceviche which came with a soft cheese and guacamole. Along with the bread, breadsticks, and olive oil, and a glass of red wine, it was just the right amount of food for me.
Quite a nice place to have a nice evening. I was not convinced with the quality of the staff, a bit too much of non-official relationship they are trying to create with a client. I had the beef main meal, it was great. The staff could have told that it goes together with potatoes. So I ordered the potatoes and it came as an additional meal. The wine selection is good. I was surprised by the compliment dishes during the evening. They were great.
Food is very good, the servicr is superb
Wonderful food, atmosphere and taste, service was incredibly polite and friendly. Would come here every time I had the chance to.
It was one of the worst restaurants in my life.Expensive and terrible taste.I ordered duck’s liver, shrimp shaffran pasta.Duck’s liver wasn’t fresh and smell bad. Please don’t order them.I left all of them.Pasta was not bad. But it was heavy and not a real Italian tastes. Just heavy tastes. I regret to get there.Bread stick was the most cost-efficient and delicious thing that I had in Da Antonio. So that I ate most of the breadLastly,Waiters were not friendly and don’t care their own customers.I raised my hands around 10 minutes but they didn’t care. When I was thinking about order, one of the staff came and ask me to order fast without gentle manner.Additionally, After I paid bills around 40eurosI didn’t heard thx for comming or something like that. They just stared me a few seconds and treated me as nothing but one time travelerIn summaryI don’t think I will get Da Antonio again.Poor quality of service mindPlease don’t expect that you would feel servedI don’t understand why this is trip advisor’s choice in Vilnius.
The food was wonderful, fantastic service and atmosphere.
The food was outstanding with a great selection of wine. The chef sent complimentary snacks between each course which were out of this world. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting Vilnius.
Very good restaurant.
Delicious food. We hade two of the pasta dishes and they were excellent. The chef treated us to small appetizers and deserts as well. They make their own bread and pasta right there in the restaurant. Best meal in Vilnius so far!!
Great service and small extra meals between main dishes.Food tasted wonderful. Would recommend.
Out of all the restaurants that I tried while in Vilnius Da Antonio was by far the best experience that I have had.The Atmosphere is absolutely amazing, the decor is brilliant, the music excellent the staff where out of this world, friendly helpful and all round great, but the main reason of visiting a restaurant is the food, which is simply Devine.I ordered a Capresi salad, which is basically a tomato, mozzarella salad with pesto sauce, before the salad arrived we were treated to a salmon tatare with cream cheese appetizer followed by a cream brulee made from Parmasan and tomatoe covered with tomatoe powder totally amazing. The Capresi salad arrived and again it was totally amazing, we ordered San Giovesse wine which was spectacular, once the salad was done they brought out our mains which was a carbonara made with home made tagliatelle and the usual trimmings, again Devine.Dessert was a tiramusu which was again totally Devine apart from the fact that it had too much coffee and the Amarelo was nowhere to be tasted. All in all an amazingly gorgeous evening spent with a friend.Total cost for 2 = Euro 56.00 well worth it. I would gladly recommend.
