DOSS hostel and hotel in Ashtarak

I made a reservation at this hostel and checked in at the front desk, paying the full rental for three days in advance. The experience there was awful and terrible, poor air-conditioning (if any), bad air (some other guests there are smoking cigarettes which smell flows into the roomsand absolutely poor service. The worst thing of all is, when I raised the aforementioned points to the staff of the hostel expecting that they can improve and at least solve some of the problems, they broke into my room, snatched my luggage, and threw them outside the property, and used violence to push me out of the property. They even told the agent that I did not show up, and they refused to arrange for any refund. There is simply no recourse because I paid by cash and they did not issue any receipt to me. This hostel is obviously operated by a bunch of fraudsters.I strongly advise any person contemplating a trip to Yerevan to avoid this hostel.

Это ужасное место. В холле очень шумно, постоянно собираются друзья владельцев. Нормально не отдохнуть. На кухне очень грязно. Завтрак, который включен, это кофе и сухая булочка. Накурено так, что хоть топор вешай. Район тоже очень странный. Сам хостел во дворе жилого дома, просто так его не найдешь. Дверь с прозрачной вставкой - апофеоз всего этого. Не рекомендую и никому не советую. Даже на одну ночь.

Неплохой хостел на пару ночей,довольно приличные соседи,удобные койки(двухэтажные койки с розеткой,личным светом и шторками),большая кухня и довольно просторный балкон.Но есть несколько больших минусов.Во-первых,нас обманули с бронирование ,вместо двухместного номера с завтраком за 9000 драм,нам предложили номер за 14000 драм(мол тот номер который мы бронировали , продлили ещё).Во-вторых,это полное отсутствие вывесок с названием хостела и вообще каких либо указателей (минут 30 мы блуждали по округе,пытаясь найти того,кто нам подскажет).В-третьих,ванная комната одна, на два этажа(3 душевых "кабинки",но нормально работает только одна),туалет не застеклён и внутри постоянно холодно и сильно дует ветер.В-четвёртых,по правилам хостела, распивать спиртные напитки внутри помещения запрещено (пить можно только купленное в баре,но он не работает).В заключение,хостел неплохой если изначально бронировать койку-место в общей комнате,но когда ты рассчитываешь на отдельный номер,а тебе предлагают либо дороже либо общую комнату,настроение не улучшается.

진짜 최악... 부킹닷컴으로 예약하고 갔는데 자기네는 방이 없다고 다른 아파트로 가야한다고함 왠지 다른 아파트먼트 구린데 소개시켜주고 할인되는 가격에 해준다고 거짓말하는 느낌임 부킹닷컴 후기는 좋은데 구글 후기는 몽땅 최악인걸 보면 이런식으로 많이 한듯 상습범인거같음 리셉션 에 있는 직원분 태도도 최악....구글 후기 처음 남겨보는데 가격에 속아 예약하는 일 없길...

We (a couplearrived at the same time with two Korean girls. All of us had booked a double room for several nights. All 4 of us got told our double rooms "have technical problems" and they need to relocate us. That was so obviously a lie that its almost funny. This place has not even air conditioning. What technical problems should there be? They obviously overbooked themselves again (see previews reviewsand on top of that after like 30 minutes waiting werent able to find a new place for us. We left and found something else.

The worst hostel experience ever!I stayed one night in Doss hostel, it was a rough night. And they canceled my booking. That is how they keep high rate on Agoda.There are few problems about this hostel:1. The hostel managed guys sleeping in female dorm room!2. The owner has been over selling the rooms! He listed 2 properties online —Doss hostel and hotel, and Small Center hostel&tour! Both showed up wrong location in map but nearby. In very fact he has ONLY ONE property! That’s why there are not enough places for people, especially for guys. So if you are a guy booked this hostel, you may end up staying in female dorm room! And it was showed 4 beds still left in female dorm room online when I was there, but there was only one left-mine. So, it is a high chance that you won’t get a room/bed when you get there at late night.3. The owner canceled my booking around 4am, so that his hostel won’t get a negative review! That’s how it keeps high rating.4. Wrong location.5. The living room is quite small, both floors. So people chat in dorm room.

When I arrived they informed me that they had double booked. They apologised and took me to another hostel nearby in a taxi. They promised a private bathroom (which I had bookedand a discount of 2000DRAM for the 2 nights.Bathroom was not private. Others were constantly using it and it was filthy dirty from when I checked in until I checked out.

I had a book 2 months ago this terrible place. I was told that they could not find my reservation when I arrived. And then they offered a more expensive room. How Awful!!!

Location and price were very well. Receptionist lady helped us for switching our travel dates and arranged minibus from Yerevan to Tblisi. She was quite helpfulWe did not like the guys in front of the hostel. If you are working in the hostel/hotel, dont hang out and smoke in front of your work place. Be respectful where you work. It looks creepy.There was only one man toilet for two floors. It is no go for rush hour

An okay hostel, was smooth transaction and all. The room I had didnt have a window! Or no ventilation. Staff were friendly and helpful and hence got the 4 th star :)

这是一家黑店，我在网站上预订三天，旅馆确认了订单，等我去了之后他们说满了，给我另外找了一家，另一家的价格比doss低，但是也没有告知我，第二天凌晨1点的时候，因为9点后有整团人订了他们的多人间，把我叫醒赶到另一个房间。去过20多个国家第一次碰到这种情况

Good hostel

Nice, clean and friendly hostel. Very central location with great value for money. Look out for some nice food in the kitchen ;-)
