DJH Hostel Heidelberg International in Wiesloch

Dirty rooms, uncomfortable beds, noisy inhabitants and bugs everywhere. I was there for 5 nights and as much as good the 1st night was that bad was the 2nd.Suddenly bugs showed up because of the widows being open due to the lack of air conditioning. We spent the night away from the beds. I believe that this issue should be further investigated

I love this youth hostel even though its a distance from town centre but is very well connected. Its breakfast is very generous and has great variety. Its next to the zoo which the kids love. Located in the New Campus of Heidelberg University you can walk to two cafes/ bistros for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended

Rooms are very clean, staff is very friendly and even cantina offer good food.On poor side of this hotel I must put totally wrong ventilation - rooms are not ventilated at all and it is hard to sleep well because of this even with open window. One of worst coffee I ever drunk meets me at every breakfast (while meat okand not comfortable beds.

Hottest room i ever try to sleep, here with family cant breathe in a room is so hot highly not recommended to anyone in a summer time zero air conditioning

Amazing hostel, very clean. Good morning Buffet. But no WiFi in the rooms which is pretty disappointing.

While they had good food to offer, nice rooms for the price,I would recommend to pay attention at the bathrooms of the room. They had a smell that made it difficult to shower.

I stayed here for a week when I first arrived as a student in Heidelberg. At that time the price also included complementary breakfast. It was back in 2013. The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean. There is also a bar downstairs wheee you can buy a beer. The location is great. The bus 32 connects you to the main city. The price is quite on the higher side but the facilities and services you get make up for that. If you have youth hostel membership youll even get a discounted price if i am not wrong. Overall it was a nice experience.

Great place. Not too costly by European standards (~40 € per night). Rooms are good and have options for eating and drinking. Bit far from Heidelberg hbf or central.

If youre over 27 expect to pay an extra € 5 (for no additional services), and expect to pay € 7 for parking at the nearby zoo as the hostels own parking space is very limited. Also expect Wi-Fi to be accessible in the lobby only and with virtually no download/upload capacity. "Stronger" internet available for an additional € 5. All in all the services provided do not justify the price per night.

We had a school party of 33 from the UK. Meals were well prepared and varied. All parts of the hostel were exceptionally clean and most of the establishments staff very friendly. If only some staff, from other "local" schools, would bring pupils whos behaviour more befitted the type of accomodation. I would recommend this hostel whole-heartedly.

Very good place to stay for weekend.

Nice place to stay. Its also an actual youth hostel, with shared rooms. Staff is nice, in general the people are nice. However, I drove to the hostel by car. There are few parking spots available and before you are in the nicer bits of Heidelberg youll have to take either the bus or take a walk for about 40min. Food is decent. Breakfast is good, diner is nothing extraordinary. It isnt bad either.

The staff is friendly. The location is nice. The food is fine, nothing special.

Quiet a nice place for the price. If you bring some free time with you, you can visit the zoo located right next to the hostel. At night or late afternoon you should not open the windows while having the light on, otherwise youll be left with hundreds of flies in your room.

No wifi to rooms, only one key for a room of four people. Everything else is fine.

Dont forget to add another layer of sheets above the blue one since it doesnt get changed.

The location of the hotel is a really well placed one in the city. The rooms were impeccable and the service exceptional.

We come here once a year for a meeting with a big group of people. Every year the hostel takes good care of us. The breakfast buffet is simple but good, the rooms and bathrooms are clean and the beds are fine to sleep on for a couple of nights. We will come back next year!

One of the best youth hostels I have been to.

Stayed several days during a conference. Everything was as expected. Only major disadvantage was far from the city center.

The rooms were fine but the water from the shower is just disgusting it smells really badly added to that in the room i slept in the windows were broken. But elseway the room and sleeping experience was fine.

It is really nice, but its frustrating that the outlets in the room are nowhere near the beds, so one cannot charge their phone overnight easily. Also the internet is only free for 1 hour per day which is crazy. Everything else is good: food, laundry, next to bus stop
