Rue Santos-Dumont 39, 6041 Charleroi, Belgium, Charleroi
Flanked by countryside, and 3 km from the entrance to Brussels South Charleroi Airport, this laid-back hotel is 2 km from the City Nord mall and 9 km from the long-standing Soleilmont Abbey.Casual, warmly furnished rooms provide complimentary Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Interconnecting rooms are available.Parking is free. A breakfast buffet (surcharge) is served in an airy restaurant that has a terrace. There's also a bar.
Very dirty rooms. Restaurant closed at all times. The location very remote. To get to the airport you are forced to take a cab for 15 euros.
Patrick best host in the world! (sorry if I spelled the name wrong)~the Italian guys that "escaped" from the airport
I havent stayed there. I was trying to walk from some other place to the airport. In the halfway, I realised that Google map is wrong, there is no entrance this side. Luckily I found this hotel so I requested the taxi. The receptionist was very nice- she called a taxi for me.
BED BUGS!!!This place needs to be closed down and sanitised from roof to the ground.Do yourself a favour and book a decent Hotel.
90 euros for a simple room with an uncomfortable bed, one big spider and lots of mosquito bites. The two-minute taxi ride to the airport, which is very difficult to reach by walking despite the closeness, costs another 15 euros.
Surprisingly good hotel, fantastic staff, especially the man on reception the night I stayed (18th July- couldnt have been kinder or more helpful. Very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again
Hed a great experience while there, the stuff where very nice and helpful, the hotel looks great and the rooms for the price where excellent.
Shabby hotel in a shabby place... You need a car to get around (its close to the airport but on the other side of the landing strip), rooms are nothing to write home about and there was some mold in the shower ☹️
Been woken up three times tonight by a guest who has now just tried to get into my room.He tried to open the door to get in nd then insisted I open the door for him. At 4.30am in the morning. That is after someone else woke me up banging incessantly on a vending machine outside the room at 2am.Staff are nowhere to be found. Very little security. I do not feel safe. Now a guest is playing music on their phone outside my room very loudly and keeping me up, but I am too scared to ask them to turn the volume down.Unsafe Hotel.
Checked in at midnight, self service, very straightforward
This is NOT a hotel inside the airport, unlike what google maps can tell you. It takes you LONG time to go to the hotel if you arrive at Charleroi. They offer a shuttle but it’s 30 euros round trip which is not only a rip off considering the time travelled (around 10 minbut also it takes long to arrive at Charleroi to pick you up. I waited around 25 minutes for it to arrive IN THE COLD when I could have taken a taxi which are immediately available inside the airport itself and I wouldn’t have to freeze while waiting for this shuttle outside. I had to wait in the cold because they have a specific point where to wait for it in the airport which is absolutely not obvious and takes long to find. And if you’re not at that point he can’t pick you up. So had to wait in the cold and not inside. Overall it’s not worth taking it, though the drivers were kind. The hotel itself is awful (though the guys a reception were ok), it’s worse than a dorm with hotel rooms stuffed one after the other like sardines. If you have a way to avoid sleeping here just do your maximum.
Beds are rough (and not entirely made), service is minimal and the carpet is dirty. For 120 a night for a family if three...
Avoid this place. Really not worth the price: the place is no way near cosy, it’s cold and not soundproof at all. The restaurant is closed on weekends and the shuttle is 5€ per person though 5 min away from airport terminals. Might as well go for a clean and cost place further away from airport...
The hotel is fine but it’s not easy to get there. It’s not ‘in’ the airport and there is a fence all around the parking and bus area. Make sure to plan for transportation. Other than that, check in, the room, the beds and amenities were all good.
Looks like its a convenient hotel for Charleroi Airport. It is definitely not.Arrived late to the hotel prior to an early morning flight. Comfy bed, clean sheets, clean bathroom, but the carpet/floor looked like it hadnt been hoovered!!In the morning breakfast was supposed to start at 8am. Arrived to reception at 7.55am, no staff around. 8 other hotel customers but no staff. Waited till 8.15am, still no staff, so made my way to the airport for my flight... Hungry.Fortunately, there are a few good cafes at the airport, so all good 😎
BUG BITES! Where do I begin. Firstly, to get to this hotel from the airport was a disaster. When we arrived, the room was filthy. The bed had particles and peoples hair in it. When we woke up, we were itchy with multiple bug bites. Upon inspection we found 2 spiders. Everything is old. Don’t stay here.
If you want to get there by foot. It is impossible to get there. You have to use taxi or talk to bus driver to drop you off behind the massive gate. Hotel service fair enough, they book you taxi back to airport for 6€. Room had fresh sheets, clean bathroom and toilet, but room was sad. Discusting carpet, bang up walls, unplugged phone to reception and restaurant doesnt operate on weekends. Overall you can survive a night here until your flight, but if you can, choose airbnb.
Good choice if you need to stay only one night before/after the flight. Room and bathroom is old fashioned but everything was clean (except of carpet, we had quite a lot of mess on the floor). Mind that airport is close but you CAN’T reach it easily as there is fence around whole area and the gates are only for stuff. By foot it takes approx. 40 minutes (4kmand there are no exit signs in airport.
Cheap and cheerful, provides shuttle bus to the airport for 10euro, has a laundry service
Very, very friendly staff! Apparently, because of the crown, there was no one in the hotel at all, it opened at 5 pm, we arrived 1.5 hours earlier, we thought we would sit in the lobby, but the hotel was completely closed, we were sitting outside, it was cold and snowing ... The girl at the reception desk, incredibly, pleasant, very friendly and always helped in everything, called a taxi, prompted the website to deliver food, called the delivery herself to find out, for us, when they would be, even though she had to leave, she waited for our delivery and left was giving me hot water for tea. The restaurant was closed, there is nothing to eat and drink here at all! MANDATORY !!! CHANGE PAPER MONEY FOR COINS, THE APPARATUS ACCEPTS ONLY 50 cents, 1,2,3 €, ELSE WITHOUT TEA, WITHOUT WATER, WITHOUT COFFEE STAY !!! After we ate pizza, and the administrator girl left at 8 pm, we were very thirsty, it was no longer pleasant here, you won’t ask for water alone in the whole hotel, and you won’t change money (((probably only during they have crowns, I hope that in normal times, everything always works)))There is a microwave in the foyer, we should also put a kettle and cups so that you can boil water. Now about the room: the room is not bad, clean, which is the most important thing for me !!! all linen is clean and bedding and towels. The TV is working, very warm, it can be adjusted. The only thing, the shower was a little broken, the water was coming out of it in different directions and with very little pressure. There is shower gel, hair dryer. No slippers. In general, if you need to spend the night near the airport, this is a very good choice, the hotel also provides a taxi to the airport parking, you need to negotiate this in advance, but if you want to go directly to the airport, you will have to pay 15 €, as it is 10 minutes on foot, and the barrier opens for 15 € and the driver pays with his card, and you return the cash to him.In general, to be honest: all the negative aspects of this hotel are simply covered by one person at the reception desk, you dont want to write anything bad !!! She is a very good girl! Very, very much, the whole family noticed this and are very grateful to her for her help that evening when we stayed there.
Nothing fancy about this hotel and probably not the best way to spend a night before/after your trip, but sometimes you dont have a choice and I bet this is one of the descent hotels in the area. I stayed in this hotel twice, one night each time. The staff is friendly and polite. However, restaurant closes pretty early and I was waiting for my dish for more than an hour and had to remind them about it since they simply forgot. The breakfast is same every time but it is okay. The rooms were quite dirty though (except bathrooms which were quite clean)
I wanted to stay here overnight when Ryanair cancelled my flight. Ive booked the hotel room, went there and found out that they dont have any free space and have booked all the rooms before. Ive never received my money back, though... Both booking com and this hotel cheated me.
Very nice hotel, its close to airport so convenient for early morning flight as I had. From the shuttle (Aits possible to walk (about 5-6 minhowever its recommended to take shuttle (5 euroto return to airport as you have to go around or wait for bus to exit. Overall, it was a great stay. The rooms are a bit outdated and restaurant a bit pricey.
Great reception at the hotel. Very friendly staff. Shuttle to the airport available from early morning (fee avout 15 eur I think. Mind you, airport is still 15 mins away by car. I thought it was closer when looking at the map
AMAZING SERVICE! Staff is very very friendly. Food was enjoyable! Hotel is close to the airport, rooms are clean and cozy! Definitely recommend this place if you are flying from the nearby airport!
