Canot say much about it since it was closed, however I enjoyed the outside display, the immensely big machines, wheels and locomotives. I must be fun in the summer when the miniature garden trainset is running.

In Koblenz stehen schon tolle Loks. Leider war ich an einem Sonntag und Mittwoch dort. Da hat aber das Museum geschlossen. Aber draussen auf der Freifläche stehen schon ein paar schicke Teile. Die sehen so aus, als ob sie auf ihre nächste Fahrt warten. Vielleicht komme ich mal an einem Samstag dort hin. Und top, was die DB Mitarbeiter dort ehrenamtlich leisten.

Great little museum where you can check out lots of old trains. Really cheap (3 euroif your into trains its a must, if not its still a fun afternoon.Fair warning a lot of the information is only in German but it did not hamper our enjoyment at all.

Ein in jeder Hinsicht tolles Museum! Allein schon wegen der Lokomotiven und Waggons, von denen einige sogar begehbar sind, lohnt sich der Besuch. Hervorzuheben natürlich der TEE mit seinen komfortablen Abteil- und Großraumwagen sowie dem Triebwagen mit seinem imposanten Maschinenraum - alles hautnah zu erleben.Ein großer Pluspunkt ist darüber hinaus die herzliche Atmosphäre, die alle Beteiligten (der Museumsbetrieb wird von Ehrenamtlichen gestemmt!hier schaffen. Angefangen bei den ganz lieben (und erfrischend lustigenDamen an der Kasse, über den Modellbauclub, der eine hübsche Anlage im Außenbereich bespielt, bis hin zu den Herren von der Gartenbahn, die auch große Kinder gerne auf eine kleine Rundfahrt mit ihrem Minizug mitnehmen.Sie alle machen das Museum zu einem wunderbaren Ort, vielen Dank dafür!

Ein Muss für jeden Eisenbahnliebhaber. Es gibt sehr viel zu sehen. Viele sehr schöne alte Lokomotiven und Waggons befinden sich im Bestand des Museums. Leider nur sehr wenig Dampfloks. Aber trotzdem lohnt sich ein Besuch auf jeden Fall. Ich komme gerne noch ein zweites Mal wieder 😃

Der weite Weg hat sich gelohnt.All die schönen nostalgischen Triebfahrzeuge .Eintritt kostet 3€ was absolut fair ist.Eine Toilette und ein Souvenir Shop sind vorhanden.Nur samstags geöffnet

Ich habe das Sommerfest 2022 besucht. Den Preis für die Tickets fand ich angemessen. Die Ausstellung und die Lokparade haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Zukünftig würde ich mir bei der Lokparade eine kleine Tribüne wünschen. Es gäbe dann vielleicht weniger Gedränge und man könnte die Lokomotiven besser fotografieren.

Had an amazing weekend at the sommerfest! A lot of great equipment all around!

Äußerst interessante Fahrzeugausstellung vor allem der alten Eisenbahn. Historische Inneneinrichtung ideal restauriert. Sehr empfehlenswert für Eisenbahnliebhaber und solche, die es werden wollen.

The best DB experience

Een mooie collectie all treinen en rijtuigen. Ook een grote collectie aan spoorweg attributen en seinen. Er zijn een paar mooie Trix / Märklin model trein banen. Tijdens het DB Sommerfest reden er diverse malen een pendel trein van en naar Koblenz Hautbahnhof en Koblenz lützel, zelfs een pendel ritje met de Adler was mogelijk. Kortom er genoeg te beleven voor jong en oud

Het was een leuk Sommerfest bij DB museum Koblenz lützel. Er was een diversiteit aan treinen en strandje met koopwaar. Voor jong en oud was er genoeg te zien en te beleven. 2 dagen lang een pendel trein van en naar Koblenz Hautbahnhof en een Ritje met de Adler of een ritje mee als machinist. Wat een leuke ervaring.

Ein Wochenende im DB-Museum Koblenz auf dem Sommerfest zugebracht. Wir selbst waren vor Ort mit dem "Stuttgarter Rössle" als Sonderzug. Die Organisation war top, alles was das Herz begehrt ist vorhanden. Das Museum selbst ist toll eingerichtet, auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nächstes Jahr wieder da sein!

Sehr schönes Museum, mit vielen interessanten Fahrzeugen und Ausstellungsstücken. Das Gelände ist übersichtlich, es sind ausreichend Erklärungen und Informationen vorhanden. Der Eintritt ist günstig, die Lage ist allerdings etwas ungünstig. Alles in Allem allerdings einen Besuch wert, auch mit Familie kann man hier gut hingehen.Very nice museum, with many interesting vehicles and exhibits. The area is clearly laid out, there are sufficient explanations and information. The entrance fee is cheap, but the location is somewhat inconvenient. All in all, however, worth a visit, even with family you can go here well.

Amazing experience. As a train fan its obvious I had to visit the DB Museum. The museum offers information about trains, infrastructure, passengers and cargo. Passionate staff to tell you all about the trains. Along with the Sommerfest 2022 I can surely tell this is an amazing day spender!

Difficult to find the direction of the front or left exit as it all is under ground

Sehr tolle Ausstellung. Das Angebot ist wirklich sehr gut. Spur H0 Eisenbahn, Dampfloks, E-Loks. Simulator und Drehscheibe. Toll ist auch, dass man in viele Eisenbahnen einsteigen und sich im Führerhaus umsehen kann.Leider ist sie Zufahrt etwas unscheinbar und die Werbung nicht so groß. Der Parkplatz ist auch eher unscheinbar beschildert. Man merkt, dass in Nürnberg mehr investiert wird. Dennoch bin ich froh das dieses Angebot überhaupt in Koblenz besteht.Bei dem geringen Eintrittspreis ist es sehr zu empfehlen. Selten, dass man so viel für so wenig Geld angeboten bekommt. Auf Rügen bezahlt man mindestens das 5 fache an Eintritt.

Absolutes MUSS für Technik- und Technikgeschichte - Fans, nicht nur für Bahnfreaks. Und erst Recht nicht nur für Kinder ;-)Der Eintritt ist wirklich günstig. Umfangreiche Lokomotiv- und Waggonausstellung, teils begehbar. Dazu auch weitere Ausstellungen in den Hallen und eine Trix-Modellbahnanlage.Im Außengleände nicht öffentlich zugängig auch ein Diesel-ICE der damaligen "Vogelfluglinie" nach Kopenhagen über die Insel Fyn (Danske Statsbaner).Gute Erreichbarkeit über Autobahn A 48 und Bundesstraße B 9, gut ausgeschildert, ausreichender Parkraum vorhanden.Bei unserem Besuch war ein gastronomisches Angebot leider noch nicht vergügbar, doch denke ich, nach Einzug alter Normlität dürfte sicherlich auch ein Mitropa-Waggon oder eine andere Art von Cafe wieder geöffnet sein, wünschenswert wäre es allemal.

Very nice museum with lots of variety in locos from steam to electric. The walkable terrain is pretty large! Lots of educational exhibits. You will be entertained for hours. The entrance fee is very low, but the experiences you get out of it are priceless! Also has a fun little shop.

Really enjoyed the museum. It was reported to be open daily but in off peak season it is only apparently open on Saturdays.Well worth 6 euros for a family ticket.It seems as if it is run by volunteers who live trains, almost a living restoration project. You can get very up close to the trains and into a few of them. Explore the model railway when you are there and go outside as well.Not quite as comprehrnsive as some of the big train museums like York in the UK but very quaint and personal.

Very cool, if you like the trains. Better you going on weekend.

I had a lot of fun here with my 6 year old. Theres a great little rideable train that my son loved. Lots of model trains in motion. There were real trains going back and forth on the tracks. I can definitely recommend it!

Nice museum containing mostly heritage electric and diesel locomotives. There are a small number of old steam locos but not functional.

Some great locomotives there and coaches from the past, some favourites like the TEE unit from the 60s and several steam locos too, worth the 3 euro each for a bit of nostalgia.

Great museum of the DB railways, it is mostly a restoration yard that you can walk around and look at the various locomotives and rolling stock of the German railways.

One of my favorite railway museums. You can really get up close with the trains and they dont hand-guide you through the exhibits. You are free to wander and explore, and in many cases touch and climb into the cabs of some of Germanys most storied locomotives and rail cars. The museum is run by the DB, and you will likely see many of their volunteers who are busy working and restoring equipment. If theyre not too busy, they may let you into the cab of a loco not on exhibit or tell you more history or mechanical information. If you are at all interested in the bahn or its history, this is simply a must-do when in the region.The museum costs 2-3 Euros entry and is an easy 10-minute walk from the frequently-served Koblenz-Lützel station.

What a great place - check out what is probably the largest fleet of German Electrolocomotives from the 60s and 70s in various DB paint schemes.
