DAM SANDWICHES in Killeen

As someone with 30+ years in the food/restaurant business ranging from crew to GM I’d have to rate customer service low. Slow acknowledgment of your presence and I watched one girl come out and go to another room while a man who had been standing at the counter for several minutes walk right past him and didn’t say a single word to him or look at him

So when I lived here in 2016 this was a food truck and let me tell you the food and service was way better than it is today. I waited 25 mins for 1 sandwich and it was only 1 other patron in the restaurant.Update: I visited the store on 28 October 2021 the time was around 11:30

First time eating at DAM Sandwiches. I tried the cheesesteak with fries. The meat was seasoned well and the fries were amazing. The food was so good, I ordered the steak fries two days later. The steak fries were ok. The add-ons such as onions, green peppers, etc are extra. For a better result, the steak fries should include two add-ons. Anything additional should constitute additional fees. Lastly, The staffs greeting was welcoming.

I am originally from Jersey and this is the best Philly I have had in Texas. My wife who always wants a good Philly has been disappointed everytime until today..... She loved her sandwich. Not only is the food great with lots of meat but the owner and staff are friendly. I will be letting everyone know....

Food was great. Made to order and the staff is A-1! Would recommend if you want a great sandwich at a wonderful price.

Best cheesesteak I have had since moving to Texas! Had cheesesteak in Philadelphia, and this is legitimate! Service was quick. Onion rings were the best too! Definitely going back!

I absolutely love this place! Huge sandwiches and great prices. You cant go wrong here. The customer service is amazing and everyone is super nice. I go here at least once a week for lunch and i tell as many people as i can to go here as well. Highly recommend you check it out

Completely wrong order they provided me paid $11 for nothing I asked her if my sandwich had everything on it before I left the store and she replied yes which was a complete lie. By the time I noticed she made the wrong sandwich for me I was already across town and she said the only thing she could do is make me a whole new sandwich. I believe her name was Nikki. The sandwich wasnt even good I am completely disappointed in my service I was lied to and cheated out my money I do not recommend this place at all.Second Day, Responding to the ownerDid you not read my review properly! I asked her if my sandwich had lettuce and everything that was supposed to be on it before I left your store and she looked dead in my eyes and said yes. Knowing that it wasnt correct BEFORE I left! I called and informed her yet again. Like I said in mi first paragraph I was already across town with the nasty sandwich that was also dry. Thanks that response was not apologetic at all. In fact it seems like youre trying to say Im lying about my situation with something I paid for. Like I said in my first review I do not recommend this place at all thank you very much.

I came here to visit. My cousin lives in St.Petersburg Florida . She saw this sandwich shop here on Fort hood in Killeen Tx. She ordered ME the Philly cheese steak fries a Canolli & a drink. Paid for it on line for me here in Killeen Tx. What I got was a too spicy chicken Buffalo & an Italian Sub. Neither she ordered nor I wanted.No Chocolate chip $4.00+ Canolli or fries. Being that it was wrong & I waited 45 mins for it to be delivered to my door no contact. No one knocked texted or called to let me know my WRONG food order had arrived. There was a K on My bag meaning K had my order & I had theirs. Two wrong sandwiches paid for but ... How they make that mix up ? It was closing time & by the time I opened my sandwich & noticed it was WRONG & TWO sandwiches instead of what was ordered. I was so annoyed I had no choice but to force the Italian (too many onionssub down. Of course they didnt answer when I called to inform them of the mistake & to ask they refund my cousins credit card. Perhaps in person will be a better experience.

Just had Dam Sandwiches for the first time and mmmmm!!! Now thats what I call a Philly cheesesteak!! So much flavor and so filling! Being from Pennsylvania it is hard to find a good Philly style cheesesteak here that screams home. Im so glad I finally have found a place to get a great Philly to remind me of home! The owners are wonderful and so friendly, welcoming, and helpful and even helped me get my food and drinks out to my Car! Thank you for an amazing experience and such yummy, and very needed, food that helped make me feel at home! Cant wait to come back in! ❤

If your from PA or anywhere from the East coast looking for a really good Philly cheese steak! This is the spot! There fries are bomb! There cheese steaks are bomb! Ive been going here since I been in texas!

Ordered from Grubhub and I had the bacon bbq cheddar cheese steak sandwich with Mac & cheese bites, it was super amazing and not greasy at all! I would for sure recommend going here for a sandwich that is good quality! I will be coming back/ ordering more from here.

I’ve been ordering them for lunch for the past few days and I have to say its like Philly came to Texas!!! I would recommend the Italian or their Cheese Steak. Delicious!

I ordered them on doordash the other day and they where absolutely amazing! I ordered a Loaded Cheese Steak and some mac & cheese bites. It was super good and the steak was juicy. I would for sure recommend.

Staff need a lot of work as the have serious issues with their attitudes and talking about things they should not in front of customers. I saw a couple health food issues that Ill contact the manager privately about but going from touching something dirty to touching food... No! But other than that the food was very disappointing especially for the name. We were a group of 6 and all thought the same thing. We only got our sandwiches because the unsanitary practices didnt happen on our food but others 😆 I expected the best "Dam" sandwich Ive ever had. I dont know if this will stay open long if things arent changed.UPDATE: Owner responded great and quickly. I changed from 1 star to a 2 star for that reason. I know its hard being a business owner. Ill try again after a while and update if better 😊

I ordered mozzarella sticks, a veggie hoagie, and an Italian hoagie for pickup. I asked the employee how long till it was ready and he said when you get here. I guessed 15 min and he then agreed. I pulled in 13 min after ordering and walked in to pick up my order. They processed my payment then started making my order. A little frustrating but I get it. The Italian hoagie was as advertised, minus any dressing. A veggie hoagie was advertised as follows: "Veggie Hoagie$8.25sauted Mushrooms, fried onions, sweet peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles topped with oil, oregano and salt & pepper on an Amoroso roll"I received wheat roll, hot peppers, tomato, lettuce, and a few mushrooms. No raw onion, no sweet peppers, no pickles. The guy didnt know where it was on the menu to ring it up. This shouldve clued me in to not order it but I was hopeful theyd double check when making it. Id suggest a study of the menu by the employees and a timely preparation of to go orders. [There were a total of 2 customers there when I walked in to pick up my order.] I wouldnt recommend this restaurant based on my first experience ordering from them.

I cannot say this enough get you a DAM in your life. This place speaks for itself. Quality service and even better food! Adding that pool table is an awesome idea. I surely will return. If more did what you do with food and service we would be in a better world for outstanding food and customer service kudos

I ordered the fried mushrooms, fried zucchini, a turkey ham and cheese sandwich with a few additional toppings, and chicken nuggets with fries for my daughter.One of the best Dam sandwiches ever! Idk how anyone could possibly give a negative review, that sh*t was delicious. So flavorful and fresh, and the fried foods were so crisp and SO good. Thank you guys, that was amazing!

Had the Italian sandwich. Had more lettuce on it than actual meat. My Husband’s cheeseburger sub was nothing special. Hard Pass on this place. With a name like this you would think the subs would blow you away! Save yourself the trouble and go to Subway.

Chicken was rubbery and soggy. Bread was soggy, and lettuce was an off brown color. We ate at around lunch time so we expected it to be fresh. Just overall not good, tastes like it was prepared the day prior and microwaved

Ordered a cheesesteak and cheese fries online nothing crazy. Got a text saying “ This is dam sandwiches your order is ready for pick up“. So I go to the store to pick it up. I say I’m there for my order and they say it’s ready and will be out in a little. My order was still on the grill. I ask them why I was sent a text saying my order was ready for pick up if it wasn’t ready. I’m the lady behind the counter gave me attitude for asking a question. When my order was finally ready i wasn’t handed my food it was dropped on the counter which gave off a disrespectful vibe and nothing was said to me. Felt very disrespected by my experience here today. I’m from philly and thought I had found my little taste from home but the service didn’t live up to the philly I know and love. Very disappointed

My name is Cyndi and I placed a $50 order from there today and my order was not only wrong but my one food wasnt even fully cooked. I ordered a cheesesteak with mayo and got a cheesesteak with fried onions, mushrooms and green peppers and I ordered a Damzerotti and cheese wasnt even cooked through. Very disappointed!

I went there for the first day yesterday after a long day of work. Employees were very friendly, checking on my table asking if i need anything just to let them know. I believe i talked to a manager, telling him how amazing the food was! This is now one of my top favorite spots to eat ! Keep up good work!

This place was AWESOME! Something Ive been looking for for a while... authentic Philadelphia Cheesesteaks 🤤🤤🤤 The flavor on these bad boys are spot on! Idk how I missed them all this time! Im not a big eater so I looked at that huge sandwich and said Ill eat half now and the other half later.... yeahhh it didnt make it. Lol I couldnt even wait to take the picture before Id already taken a bite!! 🤣 The owner was very nice guy that explained to us how to change things on the sandwiches when you order online so we wouldnt get charged for extra things we didnt want.My whole family enjoyed their meals and well sooooo definitely be back to fill up our rewards card.FYIMy husband had no cheese and marinara.I had a loaded Philly with spicy peppers.

The sandwiches I ordered came SOGGGGYYY, absolutely gross. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because my kids loved the inside out pizza, and the fried pickles were good, but the sandwich was horrible.

Awesome food & service! I grew up 5 miles East of Hershey (Palmyra& ate delicious sandwiches like this until I graduated High School. It is so nice to have a taste from home in TX! The roll is everything & prices are great. A big hit for my entire family. We are hooked & will be back. The turkey & cheese hoagie was out of this World. My daughter enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken, and the rest of my family loved the Cheesteak Overload. Thank you Dam Sandwiches!!

This place is amazing. We found it on grubhub and have eaten there often. Their selection of sandwiches is amazing and all of their sides are SO good. This is our #1 cheat meal spot because its so worth it. Weve never been disappointed.

We just received our delivery and ate what we could. The sandwiches were a gross soggy mush. The tomatoes looked old or like they were some sort of canned tomatoes. My son got the hotdog kids meal. He took one bite of the hotdog and refused the rest, curious, I tasted it and it was the equivalent to a Bar S cheap brand. The ketchup is a no name and tasted like it. The quality of ingredients was bad.The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the French fries were ok and the onion rings were ok and the delivery time was decent.

I really enjoy this sandwich place. In Cove it’s delicious but make sure you tell them what you want and don’t want. Sometimes they might forget depending on who is taking the order. If it’s the owner you will not have a problem.. They are friendly and professional.

Service was good but the BBQ Bacon sandwich. I ordered was good while eating but after while gave a bad case of heart burn. At first I thought it was just me until my other family member keep complaining they had bad heartburn too..

The loaded Philly cheese steak sandwich was dam good. Probably the best onion rings I have ever had. The onions were still slightly crunchy and the breading was nice and crunchy. They were so good. The mozzarella sticks were ooey gooey and so tasty. Dam Sandwiches is by far one of the best restaurants in Cove. Well be coming back for sure.

The sandwiches are good and the fried pickles are amazing. The kids chicken nuggets and fries were meh but my kid ate them so they couldnt have been too bad. The deliver which I like. Ive had the Italian and the aloha steak and both were delicious. Prices are fair too.

My husband and I ordered the cheese steak, loaded cheese steak, a cannoli, and a chocolate chip brownie. The food was very good and the people were funny and nice. Great atmosphere and very clean. I would definitely come back if I were in the area.

Staff was nice enough. Felt "rushed" as they packaged our food to go without even asking us. Just wanted to try them out and ordered a bunch of appetizers. They had the potential to be good but not great. They werent quite cooked enough and so the middles of most were still kind of moist.

I was going to include a picture of the loaded philly cheese steak I ordered. But I took one bite and couldnt put it down. So, this is all I am left with. This and the need to go get another. Best philly cheese steak I have had in years. Will definitely be coming here again. Friendly staff, they deliver, fair prices.

I cant believe I didnt read the reviews first!!!! I honestly think the staff is very nice and friendly but the food is not good. I ordered the steak sandwich loaded, my bread was soggy and the meat was tasteless and very dry. I also ordered the steak fries, the fries werent cooked thoroughly and the dish was all together dry and no flavor. None. The mozzarella sticks, the breading was nice and crunchy and hot but the cheese on the inside was solid not even melted. Not a very good first experience 😞

Best Real philly cheesesteak around. Im from the east coast and these are so good. And tastes just like back home. I also tried the fried pickles, those were pretty good too. Customer service is great! Definitely will be going back, next time for the cheeseburger sub.

I got the meatballs and sauce. My friend got chicken cheese steak. Both sandwiches were bland and soggy by the time they were delivered. We both were sick on our stomach for hours after. Im giving 3 stars because it wasnt the worst food Ive ever had. I had it delivered so I cant review the location.

Visited DAM Sandwiches after driving by it a few times and wanted to try something new. It was alright, overall pretty bland sandwiches. Would come back to try something else though. Fries were pretty good. Mozzarella sticks were not great at all, I had dinner with a mozzarella connoisseur and she wasnt too impressed. Service was good. The actual location can be a little hard to turn into if there is a lot of being traffic. They have a 30 minute delivery radius as long as your order contains one sandwich. Overall not a bad experience.

These sandwiches live up to the business’ name because they are DAMN good! Super friendly, fast delivery, perfectly seasoned fries and onion rings... plus the chicken and steak were so juicy! Will definitely be ordering again soon.

Dave & Marie are awesome just like their sammiches!! Ever since I met them Ive asked for a specific sammich and I always get it the way I like it! Friendly people, great service and delicious food!
