Great place lots of art plus local history. Friendly staff and a lovely restaurant.Very accessible with friendly and helpful staff.Used as myeeting point by some local groups and puts on community eventsVery supportive of the LGBTQIA community and very good on Bi stuff which can often be lacking. They did stuff for Bi+ week this year and were the host for stuff in the past that was about Bi+ issues.Very much feels a safe place to be yourselfChampions local arts and always interesting exhibitions. Nice art shop too with a variety of different styles on display and for sale.
Nice step back in time with lots of interesting exhibits. Loved the old time shop.
Great little museum, a very valuable part of the local community, an essential reminder of the past.
Very interesting local history.
Small and compact but with lots of articles of interestExcellent photos display of local industry.
Works thing - rented a room for the day to hold a course. Staff went over and above with how helpful they were, opening early, staying late, running out for milk, moving rooms, etc when we didnt all fit. Building is lovely and clean, all facilities as they should be. Decent tea and coffee selection, great biscuits.
Thanks to the friendly volunteers which gave us a friendly welcome. The exhibits are beautifully displayed. Also thanks to exhibition designer Walter for giving us more background on the photos of the coal miners and the story of the coal strike, its well worth the visit.
Interesting. A good way to spend a few hours.

Really great community hub
Very good Well run. Another great (Freephotographic exhibition this year (2022)
Ive visited here on many occasions over the years ..this time was so unwelcoming ..the staff were not engaging or freindly, we were the only ones in there ..not surprising really considering. The cafe was closed as well which is a shame. i know times are difficult but staff certainly dId NOT want to be there..the only saving grace was the art exhibition..fantastic..Great work by Neil ..
Said was open clearly wasnt joke

I love taking my nephew to the First Steps playgroup every Wednesday, except for school holidays. We had a lovely halloween party today.
The museum provides an interesting insight into life in the Cynon Valley over the ages. It is nice to see see some of the key history of the area. The museum is quite small. But free entry compensates for that. The building also boasts small art gallery which houses various displays by local artists for short periods. There is a small cafe inside the building which serves a basic menu but is friendly to both vegan and gluten free diets.Well worth a visit.
