Pakora was dry, and texture on the outside was like a rock. As if they had been in the deep fryer to long. Definitely the worst pakora I’ve tasted. Butter chicken was average at best, the chicken breast was dry, no love at all put into the food to be honest. Communicated this to them on fb/email and was told that it’s just different regions cook pakora differently etc. well I hope to never come across this regions pakora ever again.

Had a heart-filling lunch @curry leaf. Masala chai served hot and strong! Recommend their chikken tikka masala and aloo paratha. Definitely going back :)Its a shame that there wasnt many people around at lunchtime. #supportlocal #bestindianfood

My fave is the lamb korma. Kids love t he butter chicken. The cheese naan is absolutely THE BESTTTTT. So good you’ll crave it at 3am - yummmm

I have been going to this restaurant since 2018 & I have not been disappointed until last night! I brought chicken korma & to my shock found a piece of long hair in it. I am up at this time due to diarrhoea, absolutely appalled. Whoever was in the kitchen last night needs to go. Completely ruined my experience & I won’t be back.

I wanted to fill my indian desi food craving. So I ordered from curry leaf. I had ordered their paneer pakora and keema naan (Lamb). Food was not that good. They should add more spices in keema naan coz it was bland. Paneer pakora was good soft inside crispy outside. just add some red chilli powder in the batter. Gravy dishes quantity should be increased. Staff was very friendly and helpful.They serve halal. Thank you.

We ordered the chicken Tikka masala curry but they gave us Kadai chicken,but on my docket it’s clearly written the name of order was chicken tikka masala,Moreover chicken was not cooked properly,First and last mistake will never repeat.

Ordered a Dal and malai kofta. Absolutely flavourless and frankly smelled bad. Closest comparison would be to baby food thats been left open for too long. How does this place have decent reviews? Had better curry at food courts for half the price. Tipped my plate down the sink. Yuck.

I had biriyani as take away, it was very very moderate. Probably not eating here again. Taste was only of rice and no masalas at all.

Dont understand how your average rating is 4.5 stars.. The chicken curry takeaway I had was very mediocre and bland. The meat and the gravy all seemed fresh. But seemed like boiled chicken breast was chopped in cubes and added to onion and tomato curry gravy.

Saag paneer is one of the best I’ve had. Great layers of flavours! Tasty creamy and a good amount of spice. 10/10 would recommend!

Got there just before they closed. They cooked two meals for me to take home. I had a chicken tikka masala and my wife had a lamb korma. Both meals met the high standard that this place always give us

Excellent curry, however, the waitress kept on getting distracted. Two of four drinks served, the othe two some 5 minutes later!! More staff eould have made for a more pleasant experience, but as above the food was excellent.

Great local restaurant, great service, nice people and food is delicious. Highly recommend it, especially if you like authentic South Asian cuisine.

Staff are knowledgeable and helpful with dietary requirements.At other restaurants you might have a favourite or preferred dish here we’re always having to choose from a list of our favourite dishes.

We have been to the Curry Leaf many times and we love the food and the people. Delicious food and great staff. The banquet for two is extraordinary value. Our local and we recommend highly.

Absolutely Amazing takeaway dinner we had tonight! We ordered the Rogan Josh, Chicken Korma and Drums of Heaven.. drums were delicious and flavourism (as alwaysaccompanied by the beautifully light green dipping sauce. Chicken Korma was very tasty and the Rogan Josh was the best Ive had! Rice was lovely and fluffy and naan bread was authentic and surprisingly really flavoured! Have ordered takeaway on more than a few occasions from here but this time was the best weve had! Considering its delivered..food quality is never substituted. Thanks very much for a lovely food experience from the comfort of our own home!

I had a garlic naan and the Methi malai paneer that came with a pyramid of rice. I wanted the dish very hot but it was made mild. The food was really tasty though. I would of liked more garlic on the naan even though it was small. I will definitely go back and would recommend this dish.

Had Lamb Vindaloo, has to be one of the best Ive had in a long while. The lamb just melted in my mouth. Definitely will be back again. Great staff and advice on spice level.

Top quality authentic Indian curries. Some of the Mouth waterings are :- Lamb rogan josh, Achari chicken, Methi malai paneer, Kadai paneer, Malai kofta. Saag gravy in kofta, lamb or chicken is the best I have ever eaten in New Zealand so far.

Curry Leaf has been a regular haunt for my family and I for well over decade, for various celebrations, with my most recent birthday being one of them. The staff were lovely and accommodating towards our large group, (even with three kids under 10 in tow). The butter chicken and mango chicken dishes have always been consistent in taste and quality, and the addition of a mango lassi for the birthday girl, and the presenting of my already provided birthday cake outside of its box (which they didnt have to dowas a lovely gesture. I will always be back in whenever I can, even if I am no longer around the corner.

We are regulars here, have been dining at this wonderful restaurant for years even now that we have moved out of Onehunga, we come back with our kids because they love it so much aswell. Full house tonight, busy with lots of orders inside and for takeaways. The staff made sure we were looked after, gave the kids free naan bread during the wait for food. Everything came out hot, tasty and delicious. Perfect amount of heat if you like it mild. They dont use heaps of brown sugar like most other Indian restaurants. These guys always get it right. Good to see you busy!!! Thank you for continuing to deliver delicious and authentic tasting Indian food after so many years.

This has to be the best Indian restaurant in Auckland. I regularly go here with my yoga classes. There is an extensive range of tasty vegan and vegetarian dishes. The service is good and the restaurant is tastefully decorated. Thank you for a great dining experience. 🙏🙏

HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!I struggled to swallow the food. Please try to hire people who know basic cooking. The masala on the chicken and prawn was still uncooked. It was the worst kebab ever. Cant even call it a kebab. I have tried many big and small Indian restaurants in Auckland. I would say this is the worst of all. A lot of cheap restaurants I know sell good quality and tasty food. This is expensive and poor quality food. I would never order from there again. Nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone. I have no idea how people gave so many good reviews about this restaurant. I assume it is either the restaurant people or they are paying people to give good review. This food is going into the rubbish bin. I cant eat it. I can give the food back if you can give me a refund. What a waste of money!!!!

Ive lived in the neighbour more than half my life and im appalled that i had not tried this earlier! The staff was soooo friendly, and when they brought our curries out - my goodness soooo delicious! One of my fav indian restaurants!

I stopped in just to buy samosas take away. I want to come back for dinner!! It looks so inviting. They had the folding doors fully opened that day and there were quite a few people dining in. My samosas were delish! Though I prefer tamarin sauce to chutney, no biggie. I hope to come back and review dinner , this could become our new local .

The most amazing curry Ive ever tasted! I will definitely be a regular customer now that I have discovered this fantastic restaurant. There wasnt a drop left of what we had ordered because it was just too good! Plus lovely polite service on top of a delicious meal. Well worth the money and well worth a 5 star rating. We were traveling from Australia. It took long time to decide then tried curry leaf. It was right decision and happy to choose this. We asked for spicy food and and got what we wanted with real indian food with excellent service. Recommended for someone who is eager to go indian restaurant with real flavors.

We went to this place for a dinner. Nice & clean place. We like the seating arrangements. In terms of foods, we didnt feel any different. Specially the Biryani that we ordered was bit different & didnt feel that we eating Biryani. But worth for the money. They got a small bar & doing the delivery too. This place located just next to the Nandos & on the main road. Parking on the main road. Friendly staff.

Ive never had such a perfectly spiced, so well cooked and highly satisfying Indian meal before. We had the Banquet for 2 and it was simply amazing. A massive plate of starters (4 different dishes with 5 saucesand four beautiful bowls of Daal, Beef Vindaloo, Lamb Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken as main course. Heaven. So much good food, my partner and I were both so happy and full after dining here.
