Curious Cat Café - Coffee shop in Cill Airne, Ireland
Curious Cat Café in Cill Airne
Description
Privilege
We have been traveling for about 7 days through Ireland and this place was definitely one of the best places we have found so far. They have really delicious croissants, the croissants took me back to my trip to Paris. Definitely recommend. Great food, great place.
MoreReally tasty food but the wait for a table and for service is really a long one. So if youre not in rush, its a great place for brunch
MoreGreat place to get food god atmosphere, excellent coffee ans great cakes also serves breakfast and other meal, would highly recommend
MoreNice place, good food, good service. Friendly staff
Our group went to this restaurant for breakfast every day that we were visiting Killarney. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu - it was all good. The coffee had such good flavor. BUT I have to say that one of my favorite parts was the service. Our servers were always so attentive and friendly. Delicious food, an open patio, and wonderful service. A great place for breakfast at a very reasonable price.
MoreGreat restaurant with quirky atmoshere. The staff were great and food was delicious, however portions are small for the pancakes and eggs florentine. But they were delicious. We also expected to get the cat shape on the coffee but just gor a regular coffee.
MoreLovely food and very nice staff...recommend the eggs Benedict 😊
Very nice food, inside and outdoor seating, service quick and friendly, will definitely come again 👌🏻
MoreHad a lovely lunch, staff are so friendly & helpful really lovely place. Can be a bit pricey though.
MoreBe prepared to wait!We stumbled across this place and thought we would try it for brunch. The waiter that seated us and gave us menus was friendly enough and he sent a waitress over fairly quickly to take our order. 30 mins later we still hadnt had our drinks, despite asking a couple of times having seen people seated after us get theirs served. Finally the drinks arrived just as the food did. I have to say my crushed avocado with poached eggs was really nice but my husbands full irish breakfast was swimming in oil, so much so that he had to use his napkin to soak it up and ended up leaving quite a lot. We mentioned it to the staff but they didnt seem overly interested. Its a shame as there is potential this place to be really good but they fell very short of the mark today
MoreThey were crazy busy whist we were there. Took a bit of time but then we were out for a lazy Sunday Morning Breakfast. Lovely staff and excellent food. The cat was even curious!
MoreFood was really delicious,Would highly recommend. Only lose a star because service was a little slow and we were waiting a little while to be served, Seemed short staffed but who served us was polite and friendly
MoreVery nice staff, takes a bit long until the order is taken, but the food and drinks are good
MoreGreat staff and fab food. Its a hidden gem off the main Street.
Tasty cappuccino and a nice patio. Staff were very friendly!
Great food. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
Really lovely local café with super friendly staff (6 stars for the big smiles!and yummy food. Superb coffee.
MoreReally nice cute cafe. We got to sit in the nice outside area in the Irish sun which added to the trip, but regardless the sandwiches were good enough to stand on their own (especially the smoked chicken)
MoreStaff very friendly and helpful. Food top class. Will be back again. Everything was top class.
MoreWe all arrived to late for the breakfast but they did it for us which was really nice of them... It was delicious too and the coffee was to die for.
MoreThe Curious Cat is a fantastic café in Killarney. The food was delicious, the coffee was out of this world(made perfectly to order), and the staff were some of the nicest I have ever seen. You can see how much care and consideration the staff put into the food, coffee, and service.I will be back the next time I am in Killarney.
MoreGreat vibe, fresh food, strong coffee, great staff, lovely spacious outdoor space. Great way to start your day.
MoreLove this place. Great service and nice breakfast. Love the coffee.
When we got there there wasnt any free table inside so we didnt mind outside but once there is a vacant table we would get inside. We were called in after a minute that the table is free and then we found out that a table was occupied by a manager having her coffee ( as a business you wouldnt let your employee eat at a table that can generate more revenue if then a staff member having a coffee/food)The door were opened the entire time so we had to sit with coats on and despite that it was still too cold and cigarette smoke coming into the place as there was smoking area outside. The "smash avo" wasnt a fresh avocado. It was premade so it tasted like nothing but avocado. The "french toast" was 2 Brennan toast slices as french toast but it was just soggy flat bread with bacon and maple syrup. The food was overpriced and very low standard.Def wouldnt recommend. There is nicer place that is same price for food but the quality is way ahead. (The Ross)
MoreThe peanut butter smoothie with coffee was life changing.
Nice little cafe/restaurant. We had lunch there, the food was very yummy. It is a little bit hidden in an side street.
MoreHad breakfast there today!! Delicious! thank you chef! Fantastic menu!! Great vibe!! Think I want a job there!!! Very curtious staff!
MoreVery good food and friendly staff.
We inadvertently stumbled upon this place while trying to get into the pizza joint right next door, which was closed. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very quaint establishment with delicious sandwiches. The Reuben on ciabatta was scrumptious, the service was good, and the atmosphere friendly. 2 thumbs way up! Well done.
MoreBeautiful food and lovely staff!
Excellent coffee and breakfasts were delish. Cool vibe and the staff were so attentive and friendly
MoreService fantastic. Food, see the pics ❤❤ went there second time, and still very good. Tried the sauteed mushroom and onion pancake, phenomenal, and the almond latte too👍👍😍😍
MoreSuper friendly people. Breakfast was amazing, we both got the skillet. The latte was delicious and we enjoyed eating there. Our top breakfast spot we found so far in Killarney.
MoreSoup of the day was lovely. Staff were friendly and dancing (clearly love working there). Very nice stop while exploring the city.
MoreVisited today with 2 kids. Absolutely wonderful little spot. A hidden gem for sure. Food was a bit slow to come if giving any constructive feedback but well worth the wait. Had both of the veggie breakfast options and really good, probably one of the best we have had when out and about. Well worth a visit and very reasonably priced.
MoreBreakfastnfor goods. I felt amazing there, food outstanding, staff awesome. Atmosphere so cool.
MoreHad an amazing breakfast here... Some of the best black pudding I have ever had. The coffee is excellent and the service is brilliant. Great atmosphere! If staying in Killarney and youre looking for a nice cafe for breakfast then this is THE place.
MoreFriendly staff, good menu, reasonable prices, tasty food, pleasant surroundings
Nice place for breakfast, lunch and just a quick bite or coffee. Service was quick, food was fresh.
MoreThe First time we stopped by was when we were visiting in Killarney, and the second time we went all the way from mallow just to come here again and we will be back more often for sure, very nice staff everyone has such nice vibes, and the music is always very nice, food is completely homemade, everything tastes so good, I cant wait to comeback here and try some more things!
MoreLovely little cafe in the centre of Killarney. Just off the main street so there isnt as many people walking past and is a bit more space which I liked. I got a tasty Reuben sandwich. I really enjoyed it. However it did only have 2 slices in it which I thought was a little stingy. Usually in a sandwich like that costing €8.95 you would expect 4 at least if not more. You couldnt really taste it that much. My wife got a super food salad. It a really big and came with so toasted bread too. It was good. We got some fries also which were very crispy. Some might think they were maybe a bit over done but I like them extra crispy so that was fine for me.The staff were super friendly and attentive. We sat outside. Would recommend.
MoreGreat for brunch, lovely staff and perfect location. Seemed to be walk in only, it was busy but we got seated easily. French toast was 👌
MoreGreat little find for a brunch of a Saturday afternoon in the sun! The staff were lovely and the food was just as good really enjoyed it
MoreGreat service, great food. I will come back when I visit Killarney next time.
We were only staying in Killarney for two days and this was a treasure to find. The menu was varied and catered for different tastes. We ordered a soup and toastie combo, some sweet potato fries and chocolate crepes:Yum. Everything cooked perfectly, friendly staff, nice outdoor seating and sanitisation between seatings. I hope to visit again.
MoreFantastic crepes, we visited for lunch today with our dog and staff were exceptionally friendly even providing our pawed friend with a dog bowl with water without even asking. Fantastic service and delicious food to match, thank you!
MoreNice, cosy, friendly and international. I have spent over three hour in this coffee shop, waiting for my bus to Limerick. I had a great time drawing and listening to the adjacent table speaking many different languages. Cappuccino was delicious, so was the french toast and the tea ! Enjoy your time their !
MoreAfter a great night out in Killarney we needed good and somewhat healthy food that wasnt too heavy on the oils. Curious Cat Café was the perfect option.Super creamy oatmilk latte, had to order two. We got poached eggs on a bed of salmon bread buns and French toast with crispy bacon 🥓 coated in maple syrup🍁 . Totally worth the money worth. Everything was cooked brilliantly.Sat outside enjoying the rare Irish sunshine ☀.
MoreGreat cafe and wine bar! Very friendly staff! Awesome coffee!
Very welcoming and brilliant service, small inside but quirky. Crepe with nutella was superb although the scone was more like a rock cake plus no clotted cream, more like fresh cream.
