Gathering spot with outdoor seating supplying hot & cold beverages, sandwiches & sweet treats.
excellent dirty chai. could have a little more cardamom tho.
The woman who was helping me (brunette, long curly hair, tattoo on right armwas rude unprovoked. I was playing on lingering for awhile but her attitude filled the entire room and made me uncomfortable. I’ll probably come back but I really hope I don’t have to interact with her again.
I’ve been a patron of this establishment for over 15 years. Good coffee. Good treats. Cool vibe. THE WORST WIFI IN COLUMBUS! And the wifi has sucked the WHOLE TIME! I come here far less frequently as a result. They can expand the space, tweak the menu, etc. but they can’t get the wifi to an acceptable functioning speed. Just terrible. Get it together people! It’s not that hard.
The guy with the yellow hat is annoyingly rude you can tell the “regulars” get special first name treatment and everyone else gets barely any interaction. They’re also remodeling and half the place looks like a trash bag. Just go to the galaxy coffee truck a few blocks sooner they know how to treat people well.
A bit cold and remodeling is going on, but coffee is reasonably priced and good
I like the space and the coffee and food are consistent and good, but unfortunately I always have really rude service. I have come here several times and this particular barista ruins the experience enough that I dont want to come back anymore.
A cute chic coffee place in the Columbus area. I stopped by in the weekend for my morning coffee and some work call. I got a cup of mocha, and a bacon cheddar scone. I sat outside, and had my zoom call fine, although the outside traffic was a problem. But that has nothing to with the cafe. The coffee was great, and the scone was too good. I would agin go back.
I’ve been a regular here for almost 8 years. I couldn’t have finished grad school without Cup O Joe. The baristas are very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and the coffee and atmosphere are terrific. There’s a real sense of community here. The vibe is more no-frills than all all the try-hard upscale local coffee shops around town, which I for one appreciate. Support this place instead of picking up some generic Starbucks swill.
Loved the chocolate chip scone, not too sweet and not dry. A staff member recommended the mocha joe and it was delicious!
Delightful, welcoming place! Wide selection available for coffees, very nice baristas, a lot of seating available (but we went at 8 AM). You could get work done here with a pair of headphones. Food like scones and muffins available.
So much better than starbucks and much less line! My gf says she likes *bux chai more because tazo tastes better than oregon 🤷♀️ They had a better fruity tea drinks for me, this place is great. Parking in the back too!
It was crowded when I went but I still lucked out in getting a table as someone was leaving. An excellent coffee (I got a cortado with oatmilk), friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere for meeting people or doing work
1st time visitor though Ive been by the shop so many times! Coffee was great and a pastry as well. Cant wait to return!
A little annoyed that I was lightly teased for ordering a shakerato because "shaking the coffee doesnt do anything," but your iced espresso is awesome so I cant complain too much. For the sake of my pride as a barista, though, a shakerato is a cold americano. The hot espresso melts ice cubes and then the ice cubes are strained out using a cocktail shaker, leaving a cold diluted espresso. Its not a Starbucks thing, its an Italian thing, lol. Dont blame you though, "shakerato" sounds fake
Awesome local coffee shop with great coffee! Plenty of street parking, good baked goods, and whole beans for home. Highly recommend!
Great place for coffee and atmosphere. This coffee shop is open but, unlike many other eating and drinking establishments in Franklin County, it takes the health and safety of customers and staff seriously during the Covid pandemic. The inconsiderate who think they can enter and wander around without a mask do so at their own risk of being called out immediately by attentive staff. Saw it happen today. I thought the other customers were about to applaud the female staff member. The maskless trio slunk out and returned with masks from their cars. Otherwise, theyd have had to drive off to Starmucks and quickly learn how to say the dreaded "small" in Italian, Spanish, Catalan, or whatever, when they ordered their SMALL coffee.
Nice coffee shop and part of the morning routine. They have good brewed coffee which is even better over ice. They also have bagels and bags of roasted beans to go. Glad to see them in this part of Clintonville.
Really good coffee. Not sure why we need massive political flags in a coffee shop. Ruins the fun coffee shop experience. I can see why theyre down to one location now.
The Staff was very friendly, but the coffee didnt taste good to me. Im not from the area, and it was just a little dirty inside. Maybe I was there on an off time?
The coffee here was awful!!!! I ordered the iced mocha joe but it was so bitter and had a weird aftertaste! It really shouldn’t have even one star! The only good thing that is they let us refund it!
Great Music thanks for letting us enjoy some of greatest Memories such as Classic Rock tunesPlus the good taste of the Espresso CoffeI feel somewhere else in time ,not in 2021,lolPeace and love
Coffee is good, specialty drinks pricy and not too big. Staff is helpful. Setting is unique, and have free wifi. Good spot to hangout if you dont mind the crowd. Occasionally mess up orders but usually decent
stumbled upon this place on a walk in the neighborhood, stopped in for an iced oat milk mocha. No regrets! Environment is nice, quaint and clean, as well as great service. Will be back for more!
Come here 5+ times a week! My two coworkers and I love this place. Friendly faces and top-notch service. Everything is awesome from just a regular “Cup O Joe” to the fancier drinks.. Great place!
Love it. The workers are personable. Place is clean and they enforce the six foot rule while you are waiting for your order. They get the order right. Masks enforced. I do wish they had more bagels.. often run out of my favorite, Asiago. Prices reasonable. So much better than fast food!
My best friend lives down the street. So any time we get a chance to see each other we head to this coffee shop. The coffee and tea options are wknderful. The employees are phenomenal and are willing to answer any and all questions you may have. The establishment is cozy and the perfect setup to catch up with a friend, read a book, or get some work down.Highly recommend.
Excellent coffee but its soooo crowded. Even if you can find a place to sit (which is unlikely), the chance of you finding a table you can share with a friend and god forbid a laptop plug are slim. Go in, get your coffee, and go home.
Never been that far north before on High Street - but found this really nice coffee shop here today!
This is the first coffee shop I visited in Columbus, so I have a special attachment to it. The real reason I keep coming back, though, is because the coffee is so good. It would be easy to blindly point to anything on the menu because Ive never had anything less than a great drink here, coffee or otherwise. It was so good that I bought a mug.
Really relaxing neighborhoody place to go for coffee and either study or chat with friends. Indoor and outdoor areas. Some parking in a lot plus on the street. Its been around for a long time so they must be doing it right!
A great environment! The service is fine, and the coffee is good. There are a lot of baked goods and some wraps, so it definitely works if you need a quick meal or breakfast. It gets a touch pricy if you get that much though. I particularly like the outdoor seating.
Best coffee shop in Clintoville. Coffee is decent and the patio is great! Only downside is the lack of space. Usually this place is packed which doesnt suit getting together with a friend. However if your wanting to study alone you can generally get a spot.
Nice, cozy and casual specialty coffee house with delicious baked treats. Also, has fresh bulk specialty coffee to grind & brew at home. Theres a variety of coffee cups and other coffee supplies for sale.
This was a great place to get coffee - especially since there arent very many coffee places open past 7 p.m. I tried to go on to their website to see what all baked good were available and I couldnt find anything even though it said "sandwiches & sweet treats." Their website is very lacking on information - so do not rely on that. I tried the frozen toffee blended drink - was good! My husband enjoyed his regular latte and says it was "very good!"
Stumbled into this place because we had some time to kill. It was packed which is a good sign, but unfortunately there was nowhere for us to sit to enjoy our drinks. I asked the guy working about his favorite drink and he recommended the Cold Joe. Coffee with a shot of vanilla and a little cream, a lot of caffeine and not too sweet. That’s right up my alley and I loved it.
My second favourite coffee shop in the Columbus campus area. The atmosphere is so nice and there’s plenty of places to sit to work on things by yourself or in groups while sipping their delicious beverages. They’re blueberry muffin is to die for.
We adore this place! There coffee is brilliant! They often have our drinks made by the time we come through the line. The whole team of barristas is wonderful. And they feel more like some kind of urban alternative family then employees. I often bring my work and enjoy the free Wi-Fi. Sometimes I even take a telephone client too when its quiet enough. Simply love what it brings to my Clintonville experience!
Decent coffee not my favorite of the weekend. It is on the coffee experience trail. I had a cold brew of their hazelnut coffee and my husband had their light roast. Better than Starbucks but not better than One Line coffee in the arts district of Columbus, Ohio.
Phenomenal coffee (I drink it black).Great overall selection of coffee and other pastries/etc. Not too large, but I didnt have trouble finding space there.Would suggest for good coffee and a place to work or chill.
A really comfy and small coffee shop. Has Wi-Fi, and it’s a hit with college students, also. Friendly customer service. Now I don’t like coffee, and I ordered the sweetest coffee they had, and it was amazing.
Cashier didnt know the drink I ordered (flat whiteand said to her barista "what is it? some starbucks thing they made up?". Seemed pretty doucehy to say in front of me, considering they are wrong and I guess not douchey enough to know its just a fancy latte. If coffee snobs are annoying, those that get it wrong are more annoying.Nice environment in the building though. Just not that friendly staff-wise.
Favorite coffee shop in all of central Ohio! Great coffee beans, perfect roast. Theyll make your coffee any way you want. My favorite is a mocha Joe light on the chocolate syrup and its the same no matter who brews. It gets busy, though, so plan accordingly.. well worth the wait.
Free WiFi, serious desserts, a tissue dinorama, AND is across the street from Lavash?! Just wish it were open later than 9pm.
Always your standard, no frills but no fails, coffee place. Seating is close and its packed from 8-3 every single day.Drinks great, food choices excellent, and they even have allergy friendly choices. There are prepackaged gluten free muffins, cheesecake, pies, and cookies made by Food For Thought. They do need to clean their bagel toaster though. The place always smells like theres a seseme seed fire. The burn smell can get unbearable sometimes actually.Clean and good for a solo person with work to do. There are regulars there that are some of my favorite people. Sincerely nice folks, and if it attracted that crew, Im in.
Good flavored coffee. Also ibc root beer. Yummy. Nice quiet spot. Not too busy on a Thursday afternoon. Alas, the espresso machine was broken, but they were working hard to get it fixed. Very polite staff.
A neighborhood staple for more than a decade. The coffee is good at a very fair price. The staff is prompt and the place is typically clean. As I am a frequent visitor here, I have to say that the store has seen some heavy use over the years and its starting to show. Im confident the neighborhood will forgive them if they close for a short time to remodel, fix some things and give their staff some new equipment.
I love the espresso drinks. My normal is a medium three-shot Americano, which is never too bitter, even when I bump it up to four. Their dark roast is great, as well. Awesome staff, and pretty great food as well. My only complaint is they run out of their jalapeno cheddar bagels all the time! 5/5
I really like the location of this store & the coffee, but its pretty gross on the inside. They are in need of a deep clean or remodel. I keep going here because of good coffee & location but the workers usually look like they havent showered and some have an odor you can smell over the counter...
Large variety of coffee and other drinks plus desserts and snacks in a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, helpful and seem to have been there forever. My favorite thing about this place is how laid back it is. Once you get your drink and snack you dont feel rushed at all! Just take a seat, watch the world go by, enjoy your book and your afternoon.
Nice place to hang with a friend, have an informal meeting, or work on your laptop. Seating is pretty cramped, so dont expect to have a private conversation. Drinks are good and the place has a cool artistic vibe like Starbucks might have been when it first started.
