Culver Square Shopping Centre in Gorom-Gorom
Description
Privilege
Lots of shops, good array of options pretty standard shopping centre
Great selection of shops and places to eat. Very nice sitting area if in need of a rest.
MoreThis isnt a shopping centre its just a small square with a few shops, a wasted journey.
MoreNot what it once was, looking a little dated now, essentially all the best retail outlets have gone since it first opened in the late 80s early 90s. The absence of Debenham has left a large hole in any shopping experience. There are still a selection of shops mainly clothing and shoes, nice place to sit and have lunch when the weather allows.
MoreReally gone down hill over the last few years. Not much to say on this.
Colchester town isnt a great shopping center unless you want your nails done, need a haircut, or somewhere to eat. Plenty of these.
MoreThoroughly enjoyed our time visiting the shops such a good variety
The tories have destroyed this place. Used to be full of shops and independent businesses but now its just the same old multimillion dollar chains
MoreAlways feels like the true center of town, live music and a long standing, delicious crepe stand.
MoreGood for a general shopping experience.
Another great shopping area in Colchester.
Shame Colchester has come to this been here 40yrs and its gone down hill cheap takeaways, poor pubs and no class
MoreGood nice to visit on a Sunday especially chilled out atmosphere
Best area! Wonderful walking and shopping, price not to high, everything in one place ! Best for everyone
MoreThis bar was fantastic, real food vibe going down. Ibizaesk. Decent cocktail and drinks menu. Food available as well. Great find
MoreLots of empty shops. Good central hub for charity events though
Lovely load of shops here always loads on offer!
Disappointing since Debenhams and build a bear closed surprised tk max and h and m are still there
MoreAll greatGood atmosphere
Dying like the rest of colchester. Were a city with NO bus station, no major retailers other than Primary and expensive car parking and a totally useless council. Say no more!
MoreWe need a public drinking water supply. Now that their isnt a coffee shop we cant get drinking water.
MoreVery friendly staff. Fresh fruits, lovely tasty shakes and smoothies. Fair prices. I will highly recommend them. Look forward to coming back soon.
MoreVery nice atmosphere and lot of nice shops to visit.
Lots of decent shops here and pretty good prices too. Just gutter build a bear left
MoreGreat, would be better if items were more organised
Nice place in historical area not only for shopping
In the sunshine with my beautiful daughter, a cold drink and no work... Bliss!!
Rather busy and had good fun
Since the beauty section has been reorganized, I always go there first... for my bargains! Fab! Love it!
MoreHad a chilled day walking about the town had a bit of lunch here n sat down listening to the live music
MoreGreat chilled environment. Lovely place to stroll about.
The place is going from bad to very bad no atmosphere no decent shops now .Colchester as a whole is full of barbers nail shops and cafes..used to have a vibrant street market no more I dont know what the council is trying to do with the town centre shame
MoreShopped in Schuh and H&M in Culver square today and browsed in Superdry. Thankfully these shops are still in this location. It was however, sad to see the empty once beautiful Debenhams! Love what has replaced the water fountain, gorgeous natural display!
MoreReally upped their game with outdoor seating and food offerings. Shane their is no coffee shop. Great band at the weekend too.
MoreIts changed over the years. Some great stores have gone. The market has got a lot smaller. But it was ok l guess.
MoreLots of run of the mill shops. Nothing new, good place if you know your high street shops and thats what you expect. I prefer individual independent shopping myself. But still... these shops are there and good to pop into for your everyday shopping. Id rather shop in person anyday than online, so its super great to keep our high streets going for ALL to be able to use and to keep locals in local jobs. And for that reason alone...Well done, highly recommended. ✨
MoreWas a great place to shop now since Debenhams and a few other shops have gone it looks really shabby needs a good clean up and new shops also cannot believe they have not even put the Christmas tree up this year
MoreA good selection of food vans, with crepes, sausages and coffee. A wide range of shops where you can get what you need to and a fountain that has Christmas decorations on (when I visited in Decemberbut the rest of the year you can throw coins in and sit alongside it and have a good coffee. All in all a nice area of central Colchester.
MoreFor the first time in 2 years, the place felt busy on a Saturday, with a nice buzz. Having the various food and drink stalls really help, as does the live music. Makes a shopping trip much more of an experience.
MoreReally nice through Lion walk. Great displays and some great shops. Dear Grace was favourite 💕💕
MoreGood selection of shops but Debenhams is missed so much it just isnt the same, come on all you shop owners cant the building open again offering 2 floors of individual shops
MoreI had a lovely afternoon in Culver Square, I found the old fashioned sweet shop but more importantly Bill and Berts. If you havent been there they are certainly worth checking out.
MoreThis had a good selection of shops still available even after the demise of Debenhams and the build a bear shops. Theres a good sized H&M and a TKMaxx along with HMV. Theres usually a good assortment of food concession stalls too bringing an international vibe to the area. This is a good place to use as a focal easy to find meeting place within town. There are several car parks within short range as well as a very comprehensive bus services.
MoreNice pint 👌 and gin and tonic 👌 then back to the shops
Lovely to walk through. Not quite so many shops now but still enjoy having a wander. Always something to look at and when the weather is good plenty of places to enjoy a coffee etc.
MoreIt was amazing. There are a variety of shops to go to including some restaurants and theres free WiFi for tech-savvy children. Its a place for everyone really.
MoreWith Debenhams closed, a very sorry sight. What a shame! Yes, the display, the outdoor seating, the band and live music a nice touch, however cant help but thinking...why didnt we have this before? We know why. The Great Reset, local entertainment, no travel. Be happy on a 15 mile radius from home. Future looks bleak and boring.
MoreIm not really sure how you review a shopping centre. Its an area in the town centre which is pedestrianised and has shops in it. To achieve this, the developer built over centuries of history including some fairly unique architecture.
MoreNice range of shops including H&M and tkmaxx. There is also costa which is a lovely coffee shop. It is a shame Debenhams has shut but a new shop will take its place!!!!! Nice seasonal additions such as deckchair seating in summer and a fairy Castle at Christmas
MoreBeautiful place. Even though an unconventional decoration - the umbrellas are really strangely endearing.
