Cullen Park - Boat ramp in Toledo, United States
Very easy in and out boat launch
For leisurely walk along water front Cullen has plenty of benches and parking. If you want try your hand at fishing theres plenty of area plus boat ramps to launch from!
It is a nice place. A really good boat launch location. I saw a decent amount of people fishing there. You can not fish by the boat docks. But there is some beach areas that you can fish from. Plus a nice fishing dock. The air was not the best smelling. But that is not the parks fault. Overall I am looking forward to going back again.
Always enjoyed going to this place.... Plan to continue to attend with my Daughter....
Best trail in toledo for some rocky terrain!
Beautiful park, with boat ramp access, and a great walking trail down the peninsula with views of the water.
Its unfortunate, the peninsula trail is littered with garbage and discarded fishing line. Boat launch and parking is great.
Beautiful place to take your family πͺ or fish many diff things to do, even if it was just you
Could use some work on the trail, asphalt and grass, weeds.
Peeaceful place to relax, maybe do some fishing
Nice quite place went a couple times an didnt have any luck catching fish
My favorite ParkππΎπ... holds MANY Beautiful Memories for meβ‘.... began spending time there around 1965.. I was 15 years old... my husband who passed away at an early age Tom Reno... grew up in the Point... Everlasting Memories there..
Very nice boat ramps.
Seemed like a calm park! Boat ramp looked reasonable, lots of parking, and great views!
Beautiful views for a boat access site. Not to mention, the walking path looks great. Much easier to maneuver than it was 17 years ago. Family friendly nature preserve.
This was an amazing 20 min walk in which we followed a deer the entire time .. sweet experience
Great place to walk and enjoy nature.
Nice park on the water!
Loved it. Relaxing like always.
This place is where I often go for a little Peace of mind. While here you can walk trails thru woods along water as well as thru town/village still close to water you can smell it.
Great except for the dead fish (smelly)! And dont take your dog if you are walking the trails- they are BAd BAD with poison ivy!
Love Cullen β€οΈ. Small little spot on the water. You can hike out on the dike and its very peaceful and beautiful.
Great place to walk along the water and see migratory waterfowl. I have seen bald eagle on several occasions here as well!
Very different from any trail in the area. I saw a lot of cool birds. I would suggest wearing hiking boots. Its not super easy to get out to the point. There is a lot of poison ivy along the trail. I suggest wearing long pants.
We put in our kayaks at Cullen Park... Had no idea the water would be as rough as it was at this juncture, but we had wanted to see Lake Erie before heading down the river. It was a great day paddling part way down the Maumee River water trail!
"Hands down the best public boat ramp in town"..quick story..Im 51 and a avid boater when I was 15 my father put his boat in at Cullen Park setting out on a fishing trip and never returned..Lake Erie is a different beast..everytime I put my boat in I park in the same spot we retrieved my dads truck n trailer from..just to let him know his son is still his daddys boy..Freddys Boy is the name of my boat in honor of my dad..Frederick D. Powers
Real hidden gem on Toledos north shore. There are so few great places to watch the bay. The pathway out onto the tiny peninsula is a real treat.
There is a hiking trail and public boat launch. Bring good trail shoes as the trail is rocky and root burdened. When the tide is high everything gets muddy. Good views of the Edgar Speer freighter and if you are lucky, views of ships coming off Lake Erie into Port of Toledo at the mouth of the Maumee River.
Its fun to sit and people watch.. Putting their watercrafts in the water, especially the novice boaters because its like a free comedy show, parental advisory cautioned for language when tempers Flair!
Just a nice place to launch your boat. They have picnic tables and grills for cooking. Kayak launch, hiking trails and a fishing dock.
man the landscape is beautiful and people are friendly loved it me and the family loved it
This park is great. My family and I hiked to the end and the view was awesome. There were lots of rocks and logs to climb over. I wore slides and they slowed me down. I definitely recommend wearing shoes if hiking to the end. There was litter and broken glass throughout, I wis people would clean up after themselves.
For a 1st time Boater .. It was very easy with lots of space to drop n launch on the ramp!! I loved it and definitely will always come to this park with my boat!!
Nice ramps and plenty of spaces for parking. Just have to look around with the amount of traffic since its at the mouth of the Maumee River and larger boats go upstream through the channel. Didnt see any freighters that day but did see this bigger boat going upstream to downtown area.
Nice place driveway and boat ramp smooth. Water level great this year for the ramps. Plenty of garbage cans around for people to maintain a clean park.
Gorgeous spot..great view...great fishing
Its about what youd expect for a boat ramp. Theres a ramp for boats. And water. Lots of water. But in all seriousness Im just glad the city rescinded the policy of charging to launch. We pay enough in taxes already thank you.
Very, very beautiful place to walk around at. Beautiful scenery, the trail of the peninsula is fun to walk.
The jetty is always flooded. Keeps people out. π€π€ good chill spot.
Great public boat launch. Multiple slips to use if its busy. Parking lot big enough to fit your rig/trailer and video surveillance for peace of mind. Nice trails along the shoreline to walk and plenty of wildlife scenery (ducks, geese, eagles..etc.)
Nice boat ramp, only 1 in now. People are sketchy though, two weekends ago TPD was there arresting someone. Last weekend there was about 4 cars blowing so much weed my kid asked if it was the dead fish that smelled. People using the launch were friendly and helpful to each other.
Nice spot to launch a boat, take a bike ride or walk. Plenty of parking, long spots for boat trailers. There are spots to sit on a log and look over the water or fish. A girl had a stringer with perch and sheepshead.Good spot for birding. There was a portolet at the end of the lot.
Nice public boat launch. Lots of parking, well maintained. Be aware its not uncommon to see people o. The boat ramp that do not know what they are doing. Be patient! Ive seen tensions flair and things get out of control. Take your time and enjoy the free launch.
Great place to view sunrise on hiking trail
Nice and close! No hassle usually pretty clean.. August 12th water was still kind of high.
Well if youre into boating then its the perfect place especially with the newer ramps. And for fishing they have a ramp. But the best part of the park is the trail through the peninsula of the park. You make it to the end and you can see all this water everywhere around you. And there is wildlife, fauna, Flora and foliage. The trail is very nice and peaceful and beautiful to walkthrough.
Great ramp for free. Best water for a jetski. Coast guard is right on the Maumee River if you need them and patrol regularly and do safety inspections. My friend got pulled over for splashing me. My jetski got inspected thoroughly by 6 men with guns and police on shore. Good job guys... #thankyoujesusforcoastguard
Neat small park. Really cool trails we create when it was raining so there wasnt a ton of people but the animals were running around from frogs to squrrels to birds this place was very neat
Wacth out for the guy at the end of the trail firing off his shotgun, killing "ducks" illegally, an hiding in catails at the end of the trail on the left creeping on people...
Really small park but has some nice trials that connect to bigger trials.
