Had the lunch special, $12 got me a huge plate of rice n beans with stewed bone in goat and roast pork with crispy skin. Im a fan and will go out of my way to go back!!

I used to adore this restaurant, and I wont deny that the food is wonderful as well, but lately they dont seem to want to create what I ordered or have what I needed in the back, and theres a horrible waiter who constantly has a bad attitude and feels like you annoy her when its time to order.

Ill start with the good. Great portion sizes for the price!! Most of the staff is friendly and bilingual. Its always clean looking and quick service. Only negative I have is the selection of food never changes, its a small selection, and they dont season too much which could be food also!! NO FRIED FOODS!!!! Thats great for healt conscience people

Its like Hispanic fast food, but better. The portions are INCREDIBLY good for the price. The juice they have available is good as well. They had people who spoke English, and when they didnt, all it took was pointing. The staff are very kind and professional.The only issue I had was with some of the meats for the meals. If you dont come in at a good time you could end up with dry chicken, or pork thats more fat than meat (if thats a deal breaker for you). Other than that, its REALLY good food.

I stopped in yesterday to get some chicken, rice and beans. I am addicted. My usual place closed when Covid hit and never re-opened. The ladies were very NICE, and the food was SO GOOD! I will definitely be returning again! Thank you for the Great food!

This is a cuchifrito restaurant but they no fried pastries that is what you look for in a cuchifrito place. Other than that the food was delicious I had Arroz con guandule and Rottisserie chicken.Very tasty

Great new location at 12th & Chew Sts in Atwn. Great "goto" Dominican food. Including all the faves like Rice & Beans, Kola Champagne, Maltas, Natural Juices (every), Guayaba, etc.Had the Rotisserie Chicken y Avocado, my Daughter the Beef Stew. Fulfilling & satisfying as a warm hug from Wela... Mmm

Just bought some food last night. Everything was ok. Until our stomachs started hurting bad. Literally everyone who ate the food has a stomach ache . I hope its not food poisoning.

I have been going to this restaurant for YEARS when located on 7th st, I would drive from Easton to Allentown even when I lived in NJ I would come to PA just to eat here the food was amazing without a doubt never failed on taste or the fried goods unfortunately today my daughter and I walked in here ordered the yellow rice and pork shoulder just to find hair in her rice, I saw they had blood sausage ask the lady if it was fresh she said yes so I ordered it as it’s one on my favorites as I was walking out the store I couldn’t wait to take a bite it was cold now if you know what this is it’s supposed to be crunchy on the outside soft on the inside but it was cold and soft I went back into the restaurant told the lady it was cold and couldn’t be fresh she tells me she will fix it I take a seat thinking it will be remade well no she brings it back out tell me “ let me know if this is okay” I check it’s warm as if it was Microwaved so I ask if it was she tells me yes as if it was okay I tell her no she tell me again I’ll fix it I nicely decline stated I don’t need you to now fry it I needed a new order her coworker stated to reimburse me as she did if I wanted it microwaved I could’ve done it myself I was looking for it to be fresh. Honestly is key if it wasn’t fresh she would of just said something I paid for our food and gave her a tip when I paid at this time I wish I never tipped her cause I paid for a lie. Time for a new restaurant wish the food was the same but I see it’s not even the soup was disappointing

My hubby loves Spanish food, me, not so much. Its okay buy it all tastes the same imo. He ordered the stew chicken, rice and chicken noodle soup.

Relocation seems to have affected their customer service. I walked out of the establishment on two separate occasions as no one would come to wait on me or attempted to stop me as I left. Its not what it used to be and I dont feel comfortable recommending it to my out of town friends as I once did.

New location is on Chew & N.12 th Sts. Restaurant is much brighter, seems more food choices, very tasty food. few parking spaces, but non metered parking on N.12th St.

Came here because my husband was really hungry late at night. Food was awful, tasted like it was made yesterday. Both my husband and I ended up with a stomachache from what we ate.

This was delicious and crazy reasonable. Theres a tiny parking lot, but its easy to park on the street too. Huge portions. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend!

I use to enjoy this place and Im not taking away the fact that theyre delicious as well but lately they havent had what I wanted from the back or seem like they wanna make it and theres a nasty server that always has a attitude acts like you bother her when its time to order.

New location on Chew St but still tastes great!The pernil mofongo was great! Thought it was going to be dry but it was anything but. Got some carne guisado sauce on the recommendation of the employee and it only enhanced the flavor!Wife got the red snapper with garlic sauce. Wasnt as flavorful as my mofongo but it was good. 🤪Also got some blood sausage, rib lunch with rice & beans and carne guisado lunch with rice and beans.Everything was delicious and will be back for more!

Terrible service.The staff there acts like theyre giving you free food, so they feel free to talk with an attitude. I wasnt the only person getting this type of treatment. The staff that serves the food should get some classes on customer service.

Be Aware of your bill they always adding extra and if u say something they say oh sorry but if u dont they take u for a dollar or two. I called for same thing a simple sandwich for my son. They took 1n half hours to deliver 4 blocks away and that cant make a simple sandwich right. U call back to see if they can fix it and they hung up. I very disappointed cause when I got here it was.never like this.now I will never called backAnd I know the chef from 4years ago he said its became a dirty mess back there

It seems if you’re black, they have a problem serving you. I went in there yesterday, got in line, and a Hispanic gentleman who came AFTER me got served, after the lady behind the counter looked me in the my eyes.. when she was finally done, she called me the counter in a such rude manner, that you would think I vandalized their restaurant or something. I’ll never visit this place again. I advise against going here, if you’re black.. which the Dominicans who run the restaurant, are. So I don’t understand the stupidity or reasons, behind their prejudice.

Looking authentic Dominican food this is the place to go. You will be greeted with warm and helped out to the best of their abilities. Food is always hot and well seasoned.

Small , but has plenty choices , always hot... great prices ... beautiful woman to help you and me being a big black guy people tend to judge... they never did from day one very nice me and my kids love it!!!!

We like a lot to go out. Yesterday we went to this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We passed a lovely time there with delicious dishes and a professional crew and a distinguished chef. We put this place in our list and we shall definitely return soon. We highly recommend.

Prices are awesome...food was good, I personally got rice and pork this time and its was perfect usually go for some dirty rice and beef...staff was cool...got some strange looks from the patrons but to be expected when youre a family of odd white people in a mostly Spanish neighborhood. Definitely one of my favorite Spanish spots in the Queen City.

Stopped in for lunch after reading reviews here. First of all, ignore what youve read here about the staff being less than nice. My server was awesome and pointed out to me what the dishes were. (Please note theres nothing posted anywhere about what the foods are so for newbies like me, some help was required.)

Wow!! What hidden gem!!! This family owned operated restaurant is at first a bit intimidating but once you walk through the door the friendly and knowledgeable staff will make you feel at home and comfortable. There glass display case shows off all there homemade offerings in mouth watering view. From there breakfast, which I have almost weekly, is anything but your normal idea of oatmeal to the braised pork shoulder, various daily specials and rice dishes all ready to eat there or take home. I have not had an item that wasnt fresh, flavorful and delicious. If you want authentic Dominican food at the ready which is very reasonably priced and portions you cant finish alone this is the spot. Try it out and Im sure you will be back for more

Love this place. We stopped in on the way to the PPL center. As we don’t live super close. We have stopped in twice. They have all latin dishes and its always good. Open from 7am till 11pm/7days a week. Prices are great. Get food for 4 people for $30 and have left overs. It brings in a lot of people so it gets really hectic in there. Has a small area of the parking lot connected to it otherwise its too busy of an area to stop in. Needs to be run a little better but if it keeps the prices low then i guess we have to deal with the extra.

I came here looking for some authentic empanadas but ended up with disappointment. The empanadas were dry and seemed to be sitting for a while on the trays. They were just lukewarm and when I bit into them it was mostly air.I got on the side some pincho meat/stew. That was actually quite delicious!! I would not go back however. I drove 45 minutes specifically to this place hoping for some delicious stuffed empanadas.Sorry for the bad quality in the empanada. I took it descretely not wanting to be rude.

The food here is absolutely delicious hands down the best especially for stew chicken stew pork and chicharon!!! The rice is always delicious creamy and fresh and the service is fast. I love the stew chicken and have been getting it for years and recently went back to the stew pork and it blew me away.

The food is amazing, but this place looks and its run like a hot mess. I love the food here its made fresh for you and there is always a good selection.

First off the owner, his daughter, and staff are extremely polite and have always greeted me with a smile.The food and portions are fantastic.On top of that, this business has a caring heart and giving heart.If I could give Cuchifrito 10 stars I would.And, no...I am not affiliated with the business, family, or workers.Just a happy, satisfied customer.
