Crumb Cafe in Batemans Bay

Its a must... Highly recommended before you start your day. We stayed in Batemans bay for two days one of the best cafe around. Awesome staff. Quick Service

We went here for lunch after seeing all the good reviews. They are open till 2pm and we got there just before 1pm and asked for a menu and they said they closed the kitchen. So we got two wraps from the fridge and two thickshakes and one drink from the fridge and it’s was $61!! We understand the surcharge because it was the weekend but we weren’t allowed to even eat inside because they were about to mop and hour early . It seems like they were rushing to get out, my partner and I both work hospitality and make orders until close.

Lots of items marked gluten free, but the staff demonstrated no understanding of how to prepare gluten free food even though I explained I had coeliac disease. Fries are not gluten free - they are fried in the same fryer as everything else. Gf bread ended up being toasted with normal bread and was contaminated. Even though they did remake the meal, I just didnt trust the safety at that point and didnt eat.Definitely not a place for gluten free food and they should consider removing the "GF" and "GFO" from their menu as its highly misleading.

Very expensive for what you get. Burger was wet, greasy and meal otherwise bland. Food safety awareness poor. Service was unprofessional and language was distasteful overall. It seems a shame as the place is in a great location and has great potential, but maybe needs new management and further training to staff.

Amazing experience right from entering the cafe, the barista noticed and made sure I was attended to. The food was fresh and tasted great. I added mushroom and hash brown on my meal! Highly recommend!

Fantastic coffee, awesome staff - so friendly! Very busy little spot, food looks delicious - last time I visited it was inbetween lockdowns so it’s great to see it thriving again. I’ll be back for food next time!

I get my morning coffee here around 5:30 each morning and a second coffee later in the day - I wouldnt go anywhere else. Great coffee, staff and welcome each morning.

I must say that the food was pricey. It tasted okay but it was expensive for what it was. The toilets werent available either, apparently they were being renovated and they didnt have another alternative.

Great food and coffee. Friendly and welcoming staff/owners. Really went the extra mile to check which meals could be made gluten free. Sheltered dog friendly seating outside. Well worth a visit.

Went for breakfast yesterday morning after reading all the beautiful reviews but was disappointed! Ordered two breakfast meals with extras and after one of the items did not arrive in the first 5 mins (after the waiter made an excuse sometimes they don’t put everything on the same plate because it gets overcrowded). I asked two more waiters and waited an extra 20 or so minutes, the rest of my meal was cold when the chef rudely said from the kitchen window “ you only ordered hash browns with one order not two! I kindly replied no I ordered them with both meals, got my receipt got up and showed it to him, no reply! So none of the three waiters believed me when I told them I was waiting for hash browns! This really ruined my breakfast as they arrived when my plate was almost empty! We will not be returning for breakfast for sure for the remainder or our trip! Was not worth the $60 that I spent could have spent $30 for the same amount of food at Maccas!

Stopped by on Saturday after Good Friday to grab a quick coffee; they were reasonably busy but the coffees came out pretty quick.tthey offer alternative milks and use recyclable cups.

A surprisingly good cup of coffee here on the south coast. I can appreciate the latte art and indulge in a late breakfast. Just the sort of laid back place to enjoy a couple of eggs on a lazy Monday

My absolute favourite Café in the area, the food is absolutely delicious, the coffee is always fantastic, the staff is always so friendly and happy. I could not recommend Crumb more. Every single time anyone visits the area, I take them here. It’s just wonderful.

Beautifully presented and delicious food. Fast and friendly service provided by attentive and friendly staff. Looking forward to trying the amazing in-house baked cakes and pastries. Definitely worth a visit (or twowhen youre down the coast.

Got a table pretty quick, friendly and attentive service. We ordered skinny latte, nice coffee. Hubby got the BLAT, I got the best Eggs Benny Ive ever had. Delicious! You can tell that they put some thought into the dish. Perfectly poached eggs with fresh hollandaise sauce on top, plus Halluomi cheese, Jamon ham, fresh apple, dried apple, apple sauce and bacon crumbs, Its like tasting colourful fireworks in your mouth, Bellisimo Muah!

Cafe was nice. Folks were friendly and attentive to us. Service was prompt and the coffee deserving of praised.

We visited this Cafe several times while visiting Batemans Bay. They deserve a 5* as food and coffee is good and staff are friendly.

By far the best coffee in town. The food is sensational and the portions are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful...a fantastic experience that I have been to previously and will come back to again. A must dining experience if you are in Batemans.

Open from 5am for breakfast and coffee, what a great way to start the day. I had the beautifully-presented chilli scrambled eggs and not only was this dish a work of art, it tasted delicious. The coffee was great too. I will be going again, for sure

Most likely the best Eggs Benny you will have!This place has so much to offer, wide variety of ready to go or fresh meals, cakes, pastry and delicious coffee of course. Staff makes this place very pleasant place to dine in. But its those little twists and tweeks in meals that give the feeling of tasting something new!

Cute little cafe with tasty food and quick service. We got ourselves a table outside and treated ourselves with scrambled eggs, spinach ricotta roll and e chocolate croissant. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the roll was crispy and fresh. To top it off the coffee was amazing too.

Lot of potential, but the chef seems to have a ‘more is more’ philosophy. In my opinion more ingredients is not necessarily better, and that was the case in these dishes. We ordered the waffles and the mushroom toast. Both made with excellent produce, but a lack of balance. Wouldn’t take much to make me want to come back, but it’s not there yet😞

Had breakky on 04 December. Ordered the Mushrooms with side of Chorizos. Really well done. Good flavours and presentation, except the poached eggs were more like boiled. great coffee. Will visit again.

Good experience- we ordered brekky burger without Ham and kids got waffle. My wife liked the burger, for me it got better by adding black peppers. I am big time omelette fan unfortunately it was not on the menu, otherwise, I would have given six stars :.Here is my son comment on waffle 🧇- it tasted good and you get lot of things like banana , Oreo cookies, vanilla ice cream. The portion was good enough.Oh yes loved the Mushroom in the burger and coffee taste like Melbourne- so thumbs up guys!

I didn’t expect this place to be so good - but the food was absolutely delicious! Every part of both my meal and my partners was SO good.Absolutely beautifully presented food as well.Location could do with some improvement, but that’s nothing when the food is so yum.I had the field mushroom + roast pumpkin breakfast; the field mushroom was probably the best I’ve ever had at a cafe, savoury and soft but not slimy or leathery or flavourless. The roast pumpkin was almost caramelised on the outside and so delicious, for someone who normally doesn’t like pumpkin that much it was very impressive. The whipped feta was yum, the poached eggs just the right level of cooked (runny yolks but whites were firm all the way through), the bread was fresh & delicious, and the dukkah, caramelised balsamic vinegar, and lemon were a fantastic add-on to it all.My partner did a bit of a “make-your-own” breakfast with two fried eggs on toast, adding bacon and avocado and a field mushroom, and enjoyed every bit of it too.Would definitely recommend this place, and will be thinking about that mushroom & pumpkin for a while to come!

We came here for breakfast.I found the Breakfast menu quite limited.The inside has a chill vibe.Apparently there is no table service and you have to pick up the menu at the counter and order there. That’s fine but no one told us that when we can in.The coffee was good; we had the Chilli scrambled eggs and Smashed avo.It was okay, but I wouldn’t go back.

First time there today...coffee and food was amazing. Highly rate it. If your down that way definately worth a visit

Creative dish of smashed avocado with pomegranate, beetroot, poached eggs and tasty pink cream. Lemongrass with ginger tea was pretty bland. A simple cafe by the beach.

My partner and I visited because there were plenty of great reviews! We loved our meals. I ordered the BLAT with a fried egg and gluten free bread. And my partner ordered the breakfast crossiant sandwich. Both were delicious and HUGE.

This place has earned every one of these stars for its coffee, food, atmosphere and service. The coffee was delightful; wonderful taste and texture. They also have a fabulous range of teas! The food was not only of tremendous quality, but was also served in perfectly generous portions, which makes the price all worthwhile. We were a little disappointed to learn that there were no childrens size variations on the dishes, but the service staff were wonderful in helping us modify one of the dishes to suit (although I would still love to see an option for smaller sizes of the dishes, or a kids menu). The only other thing Id like to see here is more/better seating options, particularly outside. The lack of this did not impede on the quality atmosphere, and the succulent table numbers were adorable and really added to the cute vibes. I really cant fault this place, though. Will definitely be back! 😊💕☕

Finally a nice breakfast place by the bay, pleasantly updated and friendly staff. Only thing I didn’t like was the overload of leafy greens to make it seem bigger than it actually was. Thanks to all the staff for making the start of the day super nice
