Croxley's Original Ale House & Eatery in Elmont

Not sure how this place has so many good reviews. Every time we come here the food is never ready. This time waited 45 minutes for 2 orders of wings show up for a pick up time nobodys in the place except for 2 people and the food still wasnt ready and had to wait 10 minutes. On top of that the 2 girls up front have attitudes and after having to repeat my wifes name 4 times the other one looks at the other and says the name again and the other one replies "thats a weird name". Service consistently sucks and they still have the adudacity to insult us.

Excellent wings and burger. Fries are legit. Great spot.

Ive been here a few times. Food is always good. Great beer selection if thats your thing. Staff is good too. If you want to go somewhere for sports this is your place.

Great po pies ! Huge and very tasty the chicken wings are consistently too dry. Nice place to hang when its cold out and a game is on. I do recommend this place.

Very solid place to eat nothing mind blowing about the food but consistency is there. A balance of an adult scene but still family friendly.

The food is always good and it’s a great atmosphere. But unfortunately I don’t recommend Michele she is rude. She doesn’t have a care in the world on how she treats her customers. Not only did she give attitude to me but to my children who were nothing but nice to her.

Nice place and good burgers.I would have given it 5 stars if we it wasnt for our waiter whos attitude, demeanor and appearance was not a good fit with a pub environment.

Took 15 min to get a beer with only 2 others at the bar. When I finally A HEMED loudly enough to get the bartenders attention, she said I needed to wait until she was done texting her boss. Horrible customer service.

Had a hankering for wings after work and this place came highly recommended by a coworker, who is a local to the area.To start, the "world famous wings" left quite a bit to be desired. First off, they wouldnt let me split sauces on a 12 piece. Every other wing place Ive ever been to would have. But its not a huge deal, so I got an 8 piece instead. They came out quick, but were lukewarm at best, borderline cold. And the sauce was mediocre at best. Ive had much better wings and much better sauce.Plus, the boneless wing pricing makes no sense. $11.25 for an 8 piece or $22.75 for a 16 piece. Its 25 cents cheaper to do 2 eight piece orders.Also, the bartender was nice enough, but seemed to care about everyone else at the bar more than me. I get it, it was busy, so well chalk it up to that. I got my phone, so I could keep myself entertained anyway.One big plus, however, is the beer selection. Its a very enticing selection with some very hard to find beers and for that, they definitely deserve an extra star.Maybe it was just a bad night, but I went out of my way to come here. If I come back, hopefully itll be better next time. And I will update my review accordingly.

A local treasure with delicious foods and tons of drinks. Ive been going here since my younger days and its always been a great experience. The beer menu is enormous. It has an upbeat atmosphere and is a great place to watch games.

My go to place in my neighborhood. I wont eat wings from anywhere else. Irish Nachos are the bomb. Great selection of rare and seasonal beer. You can never go wrong with Croxleys. The bartenders are the best too.

So many amazing great quality beers on tap! Any beer lovers dream! I go here with my husband very often, the quesidilla and chicken wings are pretty awesome. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating!

This place is awesome. A group of 10 of us went on a Saturday night for my friends birthday and the service and the atmosphere, the drinks and food was outstanding . Huge thumbs up

Great wings. Service was awesome as well. This location is a bit more intimate than the others due to its size. The only drawback is parking during the day. You have to walk a bit after finding parking that lets you park longer than 2 hrs.

Have to get the wing, they are the best. We love the burgers and the curly fries, the french dip, and the brunch. They have so many beers on tap, local and imported, its always a go to spot. However, you wont find a bud light anywhere, they only serve the good stuff.

I’m so glad Croxley’s in NHP is open during this time. Their service is great, and their wings are the best. Better than any other wings me and my family had. My son loves their curly fries. Drinks are good. I give them three thumbs up!

I always go to the one in Rockville center so I decided to come with my friends . Mango habanero wings are always on point 9/10 and the Mac and and cheese was okay. 6/10. The wait for our food was little slow but it was super busy so you should expect it

Visited with a large group from the City, and had an absolutely great time! The staff was awesome, prompt, and extremely helpful and accommodating. Great selection of drinks. The food was fast and absolutely delicious - would highly recommend the chicken tenders and potato skins! Thanks for a great time - and will definitely be back!

Best wings in the world. Ask for "cry like a baby" and say goodbye... More beers than you can shake a stick to.Must mention that Michele is the most professional Ive ever met. Choose your beers from the list dont ask and waste her time. Do research at home then come in...

The better experience is dine-in, but with social distancing I dont trust eating near others. I completed a takeout order it and wasnt as good. I feel they let my food sit too long before pickup.

The food was overall good. If youre ordering for pickup through an app I would just suggest maybe calling before showing up to confirm that its ready. A few of us were waiting for it to be finished up. The staff was nice and taking all necessary health precautions!

The first time I came here was their first year. Nearly 30 years later, I found myself here when visiting the island to watch the Islanders. Ill say whats always been true about Croxleys. This is a kickass, hits all the marks, real deal bar. Great service, amazing food, and 10 cent wings man!!! No, not anymore on the 10 centers but theyre still the best wings around. And what a burger. Kudos to the owner for keeping it as good as it always was. Islanders/Tampa ...Im there.

Okay bar (cold cauliflower bites), with an excellent beer selection. They have some outdoor seating but it’s minimal.It’s a dark sports bar with good beer - wouldn’t go again for the food but the beer 👍🏼

This is my regular go to neighborhood bar. Friendly staff and good food. Good deals on wings Monday,Wednesday and the weekends. There shrimp poboy is delicious and they are very generous with the portions. The mussel pot is for 2 people and rich in flavor. Try the thin man brewery beer if you like pale ales.

Great beer selection. Many local brewery options as well as national craft beers. Our group shared the boneless wings (there is a great special on wings), and ordered a hamburger, chicken sandwich and a Philly cheese steak. All very good served with fries.

Great place to come after a long weekNot to crowded but loud dont worry they got your beer if they dont for sure you will come out with a new one of you likeness at no extra charge.One more time here just wonderful

Great place to go for some beer and wings and catch a game. Lots of TVs and so many choices of beer including a lot of specialty and micro brews. Love to stop here for a quick lunch when Im in the area. Love the wings, but there is so much more goodness on the menu. Just dont over order on the wings... When you get the special, there are no doggie bags without a surcharge.

Pretty spacious and a good drink selection. We came here for taco Tuesday. They had cheap tacos but wasnt the greatest tacos but what do you expect from a bar. Drinks werent over priced and was just a great place to hang out. Staff was really nice and friendly.

I can not stress this enough the staff are genuine, nice, and cool. They have a great rotation of different mead and beer. The food is delicious!!!. Hands down my favorite place to drink, eat, and watch games.

The bartender was very sweet in giving me Birthday Shots! Between her and my friend those were the only drinks I had for my Birthday...... thanks for the love!

Great food consistently. Huge beverage selection. Staff is very expeditious and always nice and greets with a smile.. Great sporty atmosphere, but also good for the whole family...I am now a regular there and Im never disappointed 😎

Im horrible with names, but went for lunch was attended to by a waitress with the most beautiful eyes!!! She was super attentive! Kept coming to ask us if everything was acceptable, several times! Only downside, which is major, is that parking is HORRIBLE!!! I was lucky to find parking about 2 1/2 blocks away. Beer wasnt cold to my liking, but I didnt complain because waitress was awesome! Location location location...

Note: I havent been here in years, so I cant speak for the current state of affairs. Im going from fond memories:This places has the best buffalo wings Ive ever had. The curly fries are great too. I hear they make an incredible hamburger, but Ive never ordered it because Im addicted to the wings.They have an amazing selection of beer.Their cry-like-a-baby sauce tastes great, but it HURTS. Approach with caution.Service there used to be incredibly slow. I dont know if thats still the case.

For a Friday night, it was pretty busy. However, our waitress got us our drinks right away, and then we didnt see her for a half hour.Food wasnt great either honestly. Dont order the boneless wings, they were undercooked.Of course they had a great selection of beers, but when I wanted to order a second one, we couldnt to.d our waitress to ask her. Another one if the girls took my order, but it was still another 15 minutes before my draft beer arrived.
