Crown Bay Center - Shopping Centre in Road Town, British Virgin Islands
Came here from a cruise ship. Decent tourist activity.
This is a clean, open air shopping area for tourists and locals alike.
The mall is only open when there is a cruise ship docked. The posted hours for the mall & its stores is not at all followed. They all close up as soon as the ships depart and dont even bother to open on days when none are docked.
Always fun. Zanzybar is always a good vibe with great people on Tuesdays
Love St.Thomas will go back soon.
Crown Bay is a Beautiful location full of great places to shop and eat. Nice to see the Cruise Ships 🚢 close up..
Our cruise ship docked here, lots of shops from souvenirs to way over priced jewelry. A few performers greeted cruisers at the entrance.
We liked this port. There is shopping, free wifi, and people are so helpful.
Nice surprise to find so many beautiful things for sale, many nice dresses and wide selections of items. You wont be disappointed
Go to the mill! Nice shops and clean all around.
We were on a Christmas Cruise and had a wonderful time exploring this beautiful island.
Gift shops, a small casino, convenience store, adjacent to the industrial side which offers postal, phone and other services.
Very enjoyable experience the people were so kind..and they really follow protocol... plenty of hand sanitizer... Everyone wore masks...
Partied all week at Zanzibar grill and had an amazing time!
I take the kids down to Crown Bay to see the cruise ship when it comes in. I also stop by Island Flavor for lunch. A must try!
Closed due to the cruise ship not being in port but the scenery and wild life alone is just gorgeous.
Everything was closed. Was a very pretty place. Many shops to visit. Iguanas was enjoying the place to themselves.
While this was farther away from the main cruise ship port where all the big ships docked, it was nice and small and quiet, which I prefer. It was a small taxi ride in to town. No complaints. But I definitely wouldnt walk in to downtown where all the action was.
Good experience overall ( place, things to do, the cityjust try not to ride with this driver since she is rude, later we found out she charged us more than other drivers in the same company would for the same drive ( we just went to the beach). She also said she would pick us up at a specific time and then she got there and took another group first. My aunt asked her for insights about the city and she said she couldnt drive and talk at the same time but then on our way back she was using her cellphone and driving, not very safe thing to do. I do recommend tours starting from this point , just not with this driver
Not a must stop, but a good place to kill some time waiting for a flight. Theres food, transportation, and shopping. Nice views!
Food, souvenirs and crafts. Good selection at market prices. Clean and plenty of places to rest after a day out returning to the ship. Drinks and comfortable surroundings with music. Nice pier view of the Caribbean.
We went on a Pirate Museum & Island sights tour from off a cruise ship. I enjoyed it ... others on the tour said there was to much getting on & off the tram. It didnt bother me one whit!!
Typical Caribbean port shops and scenery.
It was easy to pick up excursions right off the ship on the pier or right on the shore
Good shopping but a tourist trap
Nice cruise port. This is not the main cruise port (Haven Sight), but Royal Caribbean frequently docks here.Though not as big or new like the main port, this place is neat and welcoming with few stores and plenty of taxis.
Stores, Tours, Ice Cream, Water Island Ferry Boat galore. This port mall of stores are only open with stores when there is a cruise ship in. However, the ice cream/coffee store are always opened except Sundays next to the Tickles Restaurant and Water Island Ferry which have more regular/normal/standard hours of operation.Water Island was purchased by the USA in 1954 for USD10,000 and built bunkers as well as conducted experiments on Agent Orange and other toxic chemicals before moving the facilities to Vieques (island of Puerto Rico).
Really beautiful Port of Call, the market right by the port had plenty of vendors who unlike quite a few other ports in the Caribbean were not pushy at all and were very polite to deal with, shopped with several of the vendors while there, picked up several small souvenirs and some Caribbean coffee which I have enjoyed greatly and still have.
Great place to do some shopping. There are a lot of little kiosks and shops for souvenirs. Loved seeing the iguanas up close and also witnessed an impromptu wedding!
The larger Oasis class Royal Caribbean ships dock at Crown Bay Center because they cant enter into Havensight. Youll find a handful of options for duty free jewelry, local arts and crafts, and of course booze. If you want to find food and stay in the area, Id highly recommend going to Crown Bay Marina to Tickles Pub or take a short two minute taxi ride (or you could probably walkto Nisky Center to eat at Salt and Vinegar. They are amazing places to lunch. If you are coming in by land and not off of a cruise ship, they do offer free parking here.Dont forget to take a photo with the massive Danish windmill that survived the hurricanes. It is a replica, but its a shout-out to the sugar plantations that used to support the economy in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Was ok, mostly jewelry, watches and cheap shirts. Was not shopping today just passing by on my was to visit the island
After so many year visit St.Thomas this place.totaly diffrent the effect after huricane is major not by the.port but most of the island. Is our way from visit this place to help the local economic. Like always St Thomas is beautifull place
Great place, had most fun here out of our other destinations, went scuba diving thru Royal Caribbean and had a blast, the people here are more with the times. The pirate history here is awesome. We liked it so much here we may consider moving there.
If a cruise ship is in harbor at Crown Bay, then all the stores will be open. If not, only select places are open like the restaurant Island Flavor. One of the best lunch options around. Try them out.
Not a great port. The taxis in St Thomas are all corrupt to take advantage of the tourist. Its ashame really. There are nicer islands to visit.
This is a typical "island" area, filled with small shops, mostly those selling jewelry. There are a number of bars and smallish island restaurants with the typical island fast foods.
A very unique and special place to shop.. Its a few feet away from the water of the bay .. Really good shops and restaurants from A to Z , just a little something for everyone. Great for all ages to walk around or just window shop . The property also comes with a lot of parking...
Convenient place to buy supplies after getting off of the ship 😊👍
Beautiful The people are so nice and very very clean. Just a fun place to hang out and enjoy the day. Food is awesome💃💃💃💃
We only made a couple of purchases at the Crown Bay Center. The most notable was shopping at one of the Kiosks in the Caribbean Marketplace, Building G-9. We REALLY enjoyed talking with the two women who I ran and I assume owned YOISMA DESIGN. They were FRIENDLY and had a NICE SELECTION of items to purchase to help us remember our trip to beautiful St. Thomas. My daughter was quite pleased with the the treasure she found at the Yoisma Design. If you find yourself passing through the Crown Bay Center, consider taking a peek at what Yoisma Design has to offer. Youll walk right by it on your way to get a taxi or returning to your ship : )
Be careful what they sell you WILL BE taxed at the airport they are watchful and KNOW you will be carrying out some treasures! I purchased some jewelry for a great price only to pay duty at the airport for my purchases over the allowed limit!!
One of the most popular duty free shopping opportunities in the Caribbean. You can find your.brands at great price, plus all the great the deals that are provided by the cruise line (royal Caribbean its one of many examples)spend your time and bucks over there cause you wont go wrong. There is some bars and snack bars so that u dont have to go far to have a snack or drink while you are shopping.
Like most cruise ship ports the opportunity to spend your dollars is a few feet off the boat. There was some interesting regional jewelry offerings and nice folks working the shops. Im just inherently suspicious of the relationship between the cruise companies and the closest stores to the dock.
This is where our cruise ship came into port on St Thomas. There are two different ports ships come into. We were on Celebrity Silhouette. Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas also came in at this port that day. There are a lot of little shops. A ton of taxis and people ready to take you wherever you want. We already had an excursion planned but it left from the other port. We had no issue getting a taxi and making it to the other port. It was about a 15 minute drive in traffic. Shorter when there wasnt tragic.
Shops are open and glad to see the tourists return!
Its excellent u can shop dere buy books clothes souvenirs has a bank a place 2 eat n dine a gaming n casino place waterfront view cruise ship dock its atmosphere is kool peaceful n quite deres a kool place call island flavors u can sit inside or outside n enjoy da views. Also dere is a little bar outside rite in front of island flavors geh ur pina coladas beer wine rum etcwhere u sit n have ah drink
Crown Bay Rays fishes many amenities everything you could ever imagine needing on a yacht cluding shopping dining entertainment grooming animal grooming diving diving equipment rental boat rental fuel everything to have a good time on the sea
As soon as we got off the ship we found a taxi right away. Very helpful people.
If nothing else youll encounter iguana after iguana after iguana in this place. Most of them are so lazy that they dont even bother look or move are you walk by them. The stores are your usual suspects, nothing special. Better take the small ferry to Water Island and go spend the day at Dinghys Beach. The place is quiet and accommodating, Get some scuba gear and go look for turtles, you wont be disappointed.
Beautifull Place. Facilities are clean and well organized. Constant taxis with cheap fares. The stores are a little bit pricey overall but considering the market target I find them ok. If you want cheap prices Downtown is the way to go!
