Recommend for a nice pint and pub food :)

What a gem of a pub!! Didn’t know it was there until my friend suggested we called in for an afternoon catch-up. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lovely lady who was so friendly and helpful. We found a lovely spot and browsed over the menu, so much choice to the point I was being greedy with my selection. The service was second to none, fast and so friendly, how did I not know of this pubs existence is beyond me!The food we ordered between us was delicious and I can honestly say cooked to perfection.Great drink range to choose from and there seems to be stuff going on through the week and weekends too!Don’t pass by this gem of a pub, call in, you’ll love it!!

Nice food and place to have a quiet drink

Visited with my son and his fiancee. Clean and well cared for pub offering a great selection of beers. Food was home-cooked attractively served and absolutely delicious.

Its a cosy little place with some parking right outside it. Food wasnt bad but Ive had a lot better. Staff seemed stressed out and almost to the point of being rude even though it was very quiet in the pub. It was early afternoon and they were already running out of certain foods and had taken a few things off the menu

Sadly the kitchen was closed so only a pint. Atmosphere was ok and drink nice

Plenty of outside seating in the beer garden and Real Ale on!

Im really funny about pub food, but this was nice. Lovely staff, tasty food and a welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

Friendly ‘local’ it’s a great pub with pub style good with ‘2 for’ type deals & also I believe reduced prices for OAPs during lunch (but check that). If you like a quiet pint (I doavoid televised sports events as it gets really busy and loud also I advise to BOOK a table for Mother’s Day etc - It is a pub so don’t expect silver service but you will definitely have a great time!

Ordered chilli nachos and they came without the chilli. When i asked they said they didnt have any! Did they hope we wouldnt notice? Halloumi fries were ordered and 6 fries arrived, which works out about £1.00 per chip!

Had a lovely meal today , well cooked nice and hot when it came so enjoyed it ..prices are good also, had a little bit of a wait but knew about it as it was very busy ,would recommend 👍

Nothing small about the ‘small plate’ starters! Ordered 3 for the deal and we couldn’t finish them all. My partner got the signature fish and chips and that looked amazing too. Such good value for money and felt so welcome bringing the kids, even though we came on a Friday evening. Will definitely be back!

We love having this pub on our doorstep. Not only is it convenient it is always welcoming and friendly. Good food, helpful staff.

Friendly and helpful staff. I took some friends for my birthday. Unfortunately, most vegetarian dishes were unavailable. To their credit the team made a great effort and we all had a great time.

Lovely food, warm and welcoming staff with a nice family atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Really enjoyed the cheese and bacon burger with fries, was spot on. Will definitely eat here again.

Came for lunch for my mums birthday with the family, lovely pub, and the staff were great and a lot of fun, we are looking forward to going back in at the weekend, for drinks this time :)

Great pub.. cider selection could be improved.. and very limited gluten free options on menu and behind the bar.. 😎😎

I visited The Crown today and had a right laugh with the team and regulars. Good atmosphere and nothing is too much. Recommend to people and I will definitely be back

We had a festive meal Saturday Nov 2021The food was fabulous ,plenty for all young and old . Very very lovely lady personally looked after us all night .Thank uou for a memorable night 🌙

Friendly staff and food good but had to jog their memories to what we ordered and lots of the food on the menu was either out of stock or unavailable

Nice pub for drinks but the food is a no go ordered the hunters chicken and it had to be frozen then microwaved. Just shocking, could not get my head round how bacon can be so chewy (I mean chewy as in haribo bacon)

This place has had a lot of work to turn it into a nice place to relax and eat some nice food. . I ordered steak and it was cooked to perfection. This will now become my local.

Very poor! No starters whatsoever, no ingredients for key dishes I.e katsu curry sauce. Food was very burnt and over cooked. Staff were miserable, rude and unprofessional, slamming plates of food down on the table. Dont go here save your money and spend it somewhere worth your money!

Booked a table yesterday (fathers day)Fir 16.00 arrived shown to our table ordered drinks then was approached bu another member of staff asked if we had order our food yet replied No well the staff member said the waiting time for food is 1hr 45 mins why take bookings we couldnt wait this length of time has we had our 2 year old grandchild with us. So we had to leave. But thanks to Howdys we had a fantastic meal

I love this place, the best pub by far. A great warm and welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, a great land lady. Drinks like the Guinness are poured beautifully similar to the Guinness Sky Bar in Dublin. Enjoyed going with my friends and after a hard week grafting, there is nothing more rewarding that having a good laugh in a nice pub, what more can anyone ask for?. The intellectual conversations we have are good as well. The staff are all lovely and the pretty ladies have a friendly smile. Cant wait for the next visit! Will try the food next time, the Fish & Chips and mushy peas looked amazing! (tried Fish and chips a week later, real tasty!! hmmmmMind you the Stella went flying last time outside larger larger

Revolting 🤢 chicken was literally like jelly... Infact I thought it was quorn chicken.. Thats how bad it was... Wasnt even like chicken... I dont know what it was! Got a refund, what a waste of time tho! Beer wasnt even cold eather. WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN.
