Cronin's Pub - Irish pub in Cork, Ireland
Nice easy going good service 👌 and food was good 👍
Very nice place, cozy. The service could be better, there were 3 people behind the bar and still were struggling to manage the guest meal orders. I was little bit dissapointed that they dont serve chowder. The fish and chips portion was kinda small giving the price.
Just my favourite pub in this area of Cork.2022 update: Amazing vegan option in menu!
Just ask for the book where the seaman write their stories about their trips... Gold...
A quaint old pub, with rooms taller than a usual pub, so feels very spacious. Sunny, as well. When you’re there on a weekend, after 4 pm they add lights and tables out, and serve food - you have to order at the stall, and sit anywhere, and go collect it when the buzzer lights up. We had mussels with chips. Nice! The sauce might have been a little thicker though. The whole place crowded, so hard to find a seat (we were a group of 7). But overall, good craic.
Amazing pub. Lovely friendly staff and food is excellent. Lobster here is delicious.
Delighted to see the old Cronins Pub reinstated after the flood damage - well done!!
Very enjoyable lovely crowd outside in the evening sun . Staff were good at bar operations although some looked stressed . Met the owner and got chatting about his collection of boat portholes bells and all things marine very interesting .
OMG the OTofu wrap was to die for. Roasted vege and beans and tofu with a minty sauce. Best thing Ive eaten out in ages. Well done!! My partner had great fish and chips but his omnivore choice was easily beaten by my very original wrap😍🤗
Traditional Irish Pub! The food is amazing! Even the chips (French Friesare ridged for easy dunking into your favourite sauce. Decorations are beautiful and staff are friendly.. The live music on the day was fantastic! Only draw back was limited seating.. Our food was so good if you havent eaten there yet then you need to go!
Fabulous place to go for a pint
Excellent food and atmosphere. It’s a classic!
Nice outdoor setting and lovely old pub feel indoors
Outdoor music so loud we could hardly here what we were saying at the back of the bar.Food very disappointing and expensive. Wouldnt be rushing back there.
Delighted to see it reopened. Looking forward to the music that is planned for Cork Week 2022.
Outstanding best pub in cork
This is a fantastic place. It great to see you back in business 👏 🙌 We cannot wait for your bar/restaurant to open 😀 🙌
Hands down, the BEST pub I have ever visited. The atmosphere, the vibe, the selection, the food, the staff. Perfection in every category. One way or another, I will absolutely find a way back.
Great food and location. Superb service 👌🏻
Saturday July 11, 2020, 1 p.m., the place is indicated as being open. Barriers and a wooden counter prevent you from entering. You have to wait outside, impossible to enter. After 20 minutes of waiting, no one comes. It is therefore impossible to ask a question and to know if it is possible to eat. But if you have to wait so long to perhaps be allowed to enter, I dare not imagine the wait to be served. It’s a shame. The country has authorized the opening of bars and restaurants with the distance of 2 meters between people. These entry bans are not respectful or welcoming, and are completely extreme and abusive. You might as well close the establishment and not waste time for customers wishing to eat. It’s the first time in my life that I’ve been unable to enter an open institution or be able to talk to anyone ...
Very cosy, good food pleasant staff, eat n drink and enjoy the buzz, easy access..! You have to try New morning menu, Sausage roll best ever, just Wow..👍
A wonderful welcoming old style Irish pub with a great range of whiskey. The food is seafood oriented and excellent. Love the place which has a unique atmosphere.
Such a lovely dinner in the Mad Fish restaurant - I cant rate the food or staff highly enough! Our waitress Sinead was a pleasure to deal with. Looking forward to returning again soon.
Amazing tasty burger!!! Very cosy and friendly atmosphere
Very nice pub. It is looks like you are sitting in somebody flat. Interesting photos in the walls. Great beer.
10 min wait for food turned into 45 min! Food was good but not sure Id have waited that long had I known! Place itself is good and lively but they need to sort out the kitchen. Too slow.
Nice old world bar and restaurant in centre of crosshaven huge choice of drinks good size menu tough on the expensive side the have a outside bbq here some times with music definitely worth a look if you in crosshaven
Old pub in Crossheaven. Nice place to see authentic bar in Ireland. Great selection of beers.
The best fish and chips to be found anywhere! Great friendly staff and a homey feel make Cronins a must every time Im in Ireland!
Tasty and always fresh food and staff is lovely.
This place is as traditional as youll get them with the walls covered with photographs and all sorts of memorabilia everywhere, giving it this unique atmosphere youd expect in an Irish pub. Nice range of beers on draft and a fair selection of whiskeys - tasting trays available, too.The food is superb. Only had the Mad Fish soup and fish and chips so far, but the latter Id rank among the best Ive ever had. Fish so tender it melts in your mouth, covered in a craft beer batter. On a bed of fresh garden peas with proper golden chips on the side and tartar sauce. Delish.Outside seating (with table serviceis available right in the front, which is especially nice on a sunny day.I can only speak for the gents restrooms, but the toilets are as clean as youd expect it in a quality establishment.
Great location.in the cork costa🤣very friendly staff. And good food. Vegan options and have kefir on tap.
Amazing atmosphere. I cant remember the name of the lovely lady who served us tonight but thank you for the amazing food. Had some kind of ice cream/coffee combo that blew my mind (is this available during the day?). 10/10 would return
Food was delicious. However 2 things:1. - portion size was small representative of the price and the fact its a pub.2. - one of my guests received a similar but incorrect meal.As I said though food was delicious and staff were nice.
Situated in a lovely place near the sea with lots of boats around the place. Nice play area nearby for the kids along with a small amusement park. The bar is a real traditional Irish bar with fresh drinks and food to die for
This is a lovely warm intimate pub, that serve good food and drink. Nice friendly staff and well worth a visit anytime of the year. Never disappoints, top class.
Great spot in picturesque setting. Bar staff very friendly
Cronins is a traditional Irish pub which oozes character. Its layout with a number of discrete areas and the varied array of memorabilia creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are fantastic and there is no better place to drop in for a casual drink. This is especially so in winter when a blazing fire awaits you.The pub is in a beautiful setting facing the river front with Crosshaven House on the left. It is a real pleasure to relax in the outdoor seating area in the summer months. The best way to judge a place is by the number of locals supporting it and on this basis Cronins scores top marks.Cronins has long enjoyed a reputation for great local food, and in particular for its seafood. While seafood is a speciality it is hard to beat its hot soups, stews and doorstep sandwiches in winter. Bar food is top class and the Mad Fish restaurant in a room to the rear of the pub is the formal dining area. Cronins are deservedly included in the Michelin Eating out in Pubs Guide. You can find music here at weekends and there are also regular film screenings, art exhibitions and the famous Red Head Convention. The building which was previously Keneficks Hotel has been owned and managed by the Cronin family since 1970. If you are a visitor to Crosshaven you should call into Cronins at some stage and if you do I suspect a return visit is a likely outturn.
Nice old pub feel.... The menu is a not that suited to my pallet. I wouldnt be big on seafood.... The others in my company are and were very happy.A large burger and chips would have done me 🤔
Lovely bar food and great atmosphere
Tasty food, good ambiance. I recommend
Beautiful setting, interior old style and welcoming, food and service is top class. Owners are very friendly also plenty of live music. This pub is enjoyed by both locals and many visitors to the area
Really nice pub and inside and out. Out the front there is a large seating area which looks out on to the bay. Inside is a charming old school pub with memorbelia on the walls and ceiling. They also do food, two menus, a bar snacks and a full menu. We got food of the bar menu, some fish dishes which were nice and tasty. The staff are helpful and friendly. All in all a great place to hang out in Crosshaven.
Great location, really tasty food, good pricing
Great traditional pub at the end of the village. Drink and food served daily. Nice friendly staff in this quirky pub jammed with seafaring Memorabilia. Indoor and outdoor seating. Craft beers, great whiskey selection. Also Home to "The Irish Redhead Convention!"
Loved it!!! The mussels were so tasty and they have vegans options. Its the traditional Irish pub but with a great product and meals! Dont go to Crossheaven without pass by ;)
5 stars (plusare not enough.People here you have to go.I have been here many times; always with many guest.Everyone was excited.I always looked forward to the next visit.Great team, great food, excellent drinks, unique, family atmosphere and great music. You just have to stop here otherwise you missed one of the most beautiful places.I can recommend you every dish.
Great location in front of small harbour. Plenty of parking. Insane collection of spirits! Nice interior, while we were there it had traditional live music. Proper food, not just a gastro pub.
Great food. Had the salt and pepper squid and posh chips. The posh chips are just chips with cheese... They were okay. But the fried squid was amazing. Friendly staff provided good service.
Love this place great food .A lovely old world seaside pub .One of the must see pubs in Ireland
