Albert Square, 1-3 Clarence St, Manchester M2 4DE, Manchester
Contemporary, airy pizzeria and bar offering Italian classics, cocktails, with basement party room.
Brilliant pizza and excellent starting dishes. Even the garlic butter is special with onions and spinach in the Garlic prawn starter. Really lovely friendly staff.
Great restaurant. Been coming here for over 15 years for first dates (now my wife). Great memories and consistently good. Favourite restaurant in Manchester.
Took my dad for his birthday and the host at the door was really attentive and lovely. & I never right negative reviews. The food was average at best and I was really disappointed that one of the waiters - first of all, tried to take the menu away from me/snatched from me and telling me the desserts are on the other side. Even though I was looking at the drink section. He then came to take our payment of the bill, I was treating my dad & he said do you want a receipt so I said no its okay and as I paid he said, Ill wait here until this payment goes through implying I couldnt afford the bill.I think this member of staff needs retraining in customer service.
Croma is excellent! I think their prices are reasonable, and the food is wonderful too! Fresh and had a fair sized menu.We also ordered a bottle of wine, which was also reasonably priced at around £25 per bottle. We ordered the dough balls because I do quite love bread, they are freshly baked and have a nice hint of garlic and oil.All dishes came out hot, the pizzas have a thin crust but nicely toasted crust, and evenly topped. The tiramisu was nice as well, overall very great dining experience and great service too.
Absolutely awful experience.I ordered a pizza and wedges, but the waitress brought the wrong pizza and no wedges. This was brought very politely to their attention.I had to wait ages for the correct pizza only to find it was raw underneath. STILL no wedges.I explained that it was raw and couldnt eat it so they took it away. What happened next was awful. The manager came over and asked me to leave accusing me of being a troublemaker.I tried to explain what had happened, but he refused to listen and asked me to leave again. I was with 7 friends who were all shocked at 1. The service. 2. The undercooked pizza with no wedges, and 3. The managers attitude.I will be putting in a formal complaint today against that rude individual
Its ok staff are brilliant food was lovely and the place is nice and clean but it felt like there was to many tables in one place crammed in like sardines
The menu has changed couldnt get the pizza I like which is roasted vegetable so disappointed but the one I chose was very nice but we will nit be coming back so soon, as we always did.
Good, honest food. Reasonable prices for the location and service was fair.Nothing special but reliable for a quick lunch.
Great pizza and garlic bread! Atmosphere was great and staff very friendly and engaging! The garlic bread is the best Ive ever tasted!
Amazing food, great service, awesome menu for dietary requirements.
Shame that there werent any draught beers, but otherwise really good food. Most of us had pasta and it all looked and tasted great - especially for the prices.
Been going here for over 15 years and never been disappointed with food, service or anything else. Totally consistent in quality concentrating on doing everything it does well. This visit was with our 10 year old granddaughter (her first timeand she loved it.This is a Manchester gem I believe.
Not gonna go to town on this but was really annoying to see an "early bird" menu advertised online ON THE DAY QE BOOKED and then be told that it doesnt exist. If it is advertised we should be entitled to the offer and not made to feel embarrassed by the bar staff when we query it. Whole meal ruined by the awkwardness surrounding this.As an added bonus when I was trying to find toilets downstairs I had, "in the corner love," shouted at me.As a registered blind person I often struggle when finding the ladies but felt even more uncomfortable having directions shouted at me in this way.Doubt I will be back here.
Went last night 4 August 21 with a group of friends. Place is nice and bright, good menu, very reasonably priced and there wete NO complaints about the food it wall ALL delicious but the best was the staff. Really nice professional couldnt do enough for us especially Mr. Hull hope you read this the ladies loved you. Would definitely recommend and will return
I have visited this restaurant many times over the years. Food is consistently amazing. It is great value and the staff are great. Love it.
Have been many times to Croma pre lockdown and when I visited earlier this month (Junethe menu choices were very limited. Great if you can have pizza, but not otherwise. Found 2 things on the menu II could have, lasagne or salad. The menu differs from that shown online. I did ask if one of the sauces could be made less hot on one dish but was told this couldnt be done. The lasagne was very small dish, hot on the outside and warm in the middle, which asnt heated properly. The highlight was the hot sticky toffee pudding with sauce - delicious! Staff asked always excellent and attentive. Its a shame about the food quality/portions. Its as though they are trying to recoup losses by charging the same as previously without the standard/size of meals. Hope they return to full menu soon.
It was ok, Ive had better to be honest.
I visited Croma in Manchester on Sat 22nd May along with four friends as it had been a long time since we have all been able to meet together in a social setting. From start to finish we had a great experience with wonderful food and excellent service from an outstanding waitress called Ruth. Ruth went above and beyond to meet all our requirements and help make our day special.Hopefully it wont be too long until we return.
Have visited Chroma many times over the years. Has always been a better alternative to the established pizza chains. The menu now includes several pasta dishes and salads.Food was ok but we left on a bit of a sour note because no one had pointed out special offers. Not great reaction from staff.Might have been a one off but not a particularly good experience.
Always love going to croma even when you just walk in the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing with excellent pizzas and pasta. I always have garlic douthballs to start then a pizza margarita. The wife says Im so predictable but hey the margarita is a classic so you cant ask for more than that. Croma always seem to have special deals on and at the moment they have for £10 Any pizza and a drink whether it is a soft drink or alcohol. Try the house red its beautiful. Keep up the good work croma its always a pleasure to visit.
Avarage low pizza. Small for the price Really salty with amount of oil of deep fried food.
Nice afternoon lunch with the family. Excellent service and good quality food and portions. Really nice restaurant inside with a good atmosphere. Drinks were a bit pricey as you would expect for a city centre restaurant. All in I will go again
Great food, great customer service and great prices
Was visiting Manchester and came across this restaurant, they fit us in despite us not booking as we didnt know we would be eating out. The dough balls were absolutely amazing, best garlic butter Ive tasted. I had the americana pizza for mains, it was so tasty. The desserts were all incredible. The waiting staff were very friendly despite us adding to an already busy night.I would 100% recommend this place!!
January is a great month to visit. They have a month long promotion whereby dishes are offered at 2000 prices! I would recommend booking as was packed last nightPromotion aside the food was excellent. Hot, fresh and tasty. Range of different pizza toppings in particular made it very difficult to choose what to have!I kept it simple with a starter with garlic bread topped with tomato and basil. Simple but tasty and good to get the gastric juices flowing. I had a special pizza, 11" of delight topped (with other thingswith succulent tail on king prawns, goats cheese, spring onion and coriander. A taste sensation. With the great offer on this month the dessert prepared has never been so busy and I could not resist the chocolate fudge cake. An excellent, great value night
Fantastic food. Great service and friendly atmosphere. Staff are very good with children. We were a party of nine and had lots of different foods - dough balls, garlic breads, mediterranean platter, olives, meat and fish lasagne, pizza, and more. Our only complaint was from my 10-year-old grandson who said his salmon and spinach lasagne was too small!
Awesome pizza, reasonable price, friendly staff.
A great find in Manchester. The pizza is lovely, especially the tandoori chicken. Its has all the flavours of a chicken kebab but on a pizza base. The early bird offer is very good and staff are friendly. Well worth a visit
Early bird menu was fairly priced.Service was prompt and polite with the resurant being quite busy.Starter, main and desert all delicious. Can fault it based on my experience.Recommended if you happen to be in that neck of the woods
Nice staff, well priced, delicious food!
Amazing food and great service, a pleasant place for lunch with friends
I am a huge fan of Croma and have eaten there many times. Booked for one of 2 visits to celebrate my retirement, 30 friends attended. As always, had an AMAZING TIME. Fantastic food, excellent service and lovely staff, we all had a great time. Many thanks to all. Will be returning in September ... highly reccomend!!
A vegan pizza with only tomatoes, onion and aubergine! Tasteless...Money down the drain... They dont even have the decency to highlight what is vegetarian and whats not. The serving time was crazy long and the serving portion exceptionally small.Never will I ever visit nor suggest.
Super friendly staff. Efficient and thoughtful: we had a train to catch, so they brought starters quickly. Best dough, interesting and delicious pizza toppings. Best aubergine parmigiana ever! Soft light, not garish, good atmosphere. Not a franchise. Heart. Plus you can book a table, no queue. Highly recommended!
Second time been to Croma and another amazing experience. Good atmosphere and fantastic pizza. Definitely worth recommending.
Booked team meal a few weeks ago. They told me not to worry about numbers and theyd call me on the morning of our meal to confirm them then. This they did. There was a table reserved for us. Service was fine and the food spot on. Prices reasonable recommend a visit.
Good atmosphere and great tasting food at a very reasonable price. Would happily recommend to anyone and will return.
White linen, stylish, tasty food and friendly service at a reasonable price. Good value for a business lunch or treat out. We keep going back.
Went for a Christmas meal. Good food, reasonable price 👌
Great selection of pizzas, starters and red wines. I would recommend the Chorizo & Black PuddingBruschetta starter, may not look pretty but tasted delicious. We were a large group and they catered for us in our own area across a few tables.
Came here with a large group, they put us in the back room which was great, the service was fab and fast too! The pizza was okay, I liked the new flavour idea.
Amazing service and interesting pizzas!
Amazing Italian restaurantI like this orders and I think it’s better than pizzaexpress
Great service, excellent food. Everything I would expect from such a good restaurant. Tried a salad tonight rather than choose a pizza, like I always do. Very accomodating towards young children, even on valentines evening. Desserts are to die for. I chose the chocolate and caramel sundae and one of my children had the chocolate fudge cake (see photos posted). Wonderful evening enjoyed by all the family.
Absolutely amazing pizza. Great atmosphere. Nice decor. Great place for a classy meal.
Great food, nice staff.
Excellent service and pleasant staff, food very tasty. Cheese topping on the pizza somewhat thin. Very disappointing.
Lovely place. Very delicious pizzas. Kind staff. Affordable price for a student.
Great lunchtime bustling atmosphere, really good lunch deal (£9 for a pizza and a beerand the food is fantastic. Servers were attentive without being overbearing, room was light and airy even upstairs. Get there early at lunch if you want a seat however as it was full within minutes of us arriving around midday.
A great Italian, no bookings unless you have a very large party so walk ins only. I had three courses, garlic bread with mozzarella was nice but it didnt taste much like garlic... Pizza was great and the Tiramisu was beautiful. Service was great and the staff all attentive and polite. Great Italian style decor presented a great atmosphere and to top it all off the prices were very reasonable.
