Family-friendly activity area with trails, a large playground & restrooms, plus a fenced dog run.
Fun playground for kids of all ages. There is a lot of space and structures for kids of all ages to play on. It works well as a toddler park as long as you keep an eye on your kids and dont them wander too far. It works great for grade school-aged kids too with lots of fun stuff to play on. Theres a greenbelt too so the kids can just run around. The park is connected to a dog park, so youll see some dogs while youre here. Parking for the park is pretty limited. You may end up needing to park on the busy street next to the park, which can be challenging if youve got little kids. The bathrooms are okay for a public park. They are close to the playground but not always clean.
Well tended, fenced dog park with water fountain for the dogs.
Nice and calm. Very family oriented.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!clean, nice and nobody bothered to us
It has very nice walking trails and a cool park
Dog ParkBig dogs and little dogs have their own fenced off area. Lots of space. Lawn chairs, people to talk with. Lovely shade.
Creekside Park is a good park to visit when visiting San Juan Capistrano.
There are better parks nearby but this place has a nice walking trail. If your going there to play basketball, save yourself some time and go somewhere else. Its only half court
The spot was great but the people we rented from could use some serious work. Were charged for a day that we didnt have access to the room, they failed to give us the code to retrieve the key when our rental officially started and were not available to contact until late the next day. We Informed them a week ahead of time we would arrive fairly late in the evening and payed for our stay ahead of time.. you would think they would do what all other rental setups did and provide the code for the lock box the second our agreement said we were allowed to begin our stay, nope they require us to contact them to get the code but not until after our stay started and our phone had died that still had signal the other one still had battery but no signal, still had they provided the code the 5 hours earlier it would not have been an issue. Not fun to sleep in a jeep full of gear while its snowing outside
Great dog park. Love that they have 2 separate dog parks. 1 for large and 1 for small dogs
Great park. Lots to do and keep kids busy, especially kids of varying ages. They have a toddler section and a section for older children as well. Itβs usually fairly clean.
A nice little park for the family and friends to spend the day. Nice and relaxing.
Very kool park with allot of playground equipment & friendly people. Parking can be a bit tight tho.
This is a cute Park and a good place to bring kids of any age.
This place is really calm and clean, to celebrate parties for children is perfect, the restrooms are clean, and lots of benches too, lots of parking to park your vehicle too. I had a great time here, i recommend to celebrate your party with your family here in dana point.
Excellent playground. My 4 year old gave it a great review. She wanted to move there.
Great for all ages, I take my nephews and kids ages range from 10yrs to 9mos and all love it! Bathrooms. Parking sometimes can be a little bit of a pain if crowded.. ice cream truck rolls through every now and then and all summer π
Great park for picnics! Fun play area for kiddos. Has a nice walking, bike or scooter path and a large dog park.
Big park with a small dog section and a large dog section. The dogs have all been friendly every time Ive gone.
Beautiful area for kids and adults. Nice walking and bike riding paths.
Bathrooms, toddler play area, larger kid play structure, sandbox, lots of green space for picnic, park benches and couple picnic tables, close to path to go for a walk. Overall one of our favorites
I like the dog park in Creekside park. Even better, there is a smaller fenced off section inside. Most afternoons, you can find a group of folks with smaller, gentle and older dogs. Perfect for the shy newcomer. The "regulars" all seem nice and are happy to help
Playground good for kids, nice green grass, trees, short trails.Awesome large dog park
Great playground for all ages! There are several play structures that range from toddler size to big kid climbing walls. One set of baby swings by the little kid structure, and another set of "big kid" swings by the largest play structure. Big sandbox with little covered houses to play in, tons of climbing for all sizes and levels. Theres plenty of shady benches and covered picnic areas to go around. And your kids can even see the train go by! It gets pretty busy on weekends. Bathrooms are okay - not the cleanest but better than most.CONS: the parking is the one huge drawback. The lot is super small and almost always full. Theres a dog park and bike trails here, which are really great, but the parking lot doesnt accommodate that. Some street parking is available, but if youre lugging little kids like me, not your first choice lol. Go mid week if you can.
Great Park with less than 5yr old playground equipment, swings, ropes, teeters, slides, bars and much much more. Divided into 5 distinct sections to make it easy for kids to play with others their own age.1Β½yrs - 4yrs Youngest children area with equipment that does not require as much stength or size4yrs - 10yrs Childrens Play area, large, safe, cleanDog Park -Gated - Large , &&&
Great little park with 2 sides for kids. One side is for toddler/younger kids and the other is for older ones. Its a great area with nice shady trees and large grassy zones to relax with excellent visibility to watch for crazies in case one shows up. ( Spoiler.... No crazies showed up)
This is such a great park. There are 3 seperate playgrounds, a large grass area, a dog park and a bathroom. Unfortunately the parking situation is very limited. It seems the lot is always full. If you manage to find a spot you will enjoy yourself
I take my kids here all the time and they love it so that means I love it. Itβs clean, has bathrooms and lots of activities too keep the kids busy and burn there energy out!
Ive had to stop coming to the dog park here. I used to live in the neighborhood right next to it and would bring our great dane almost everyday and it was really mellow. We then got another puppy and started to bring them both back once the puppy got older. But there are a lot of people who bring very aggressive dogs and almost ever time I go I have to pull them off of mine. Both my dogs are good sized the great dane is over 100 lbs and the puppy is around 40. The park used to be really mellow. I dont mind dogs playing rough but these dogs werent playing. I dont mind play bitting and being rough but the dogs here get really aggressive I started going to the one off Golden lantern by the fire station and havent had a problem.
Great park. Long trails. Dog parks and grassy fields with some flowers too.
Something for everyone...play area for kids, dog park for dogs and walking area for adults. Just be careful of loose dogs on their way to the dog park and e bikes racing down the sidewalks!
Were from out of town and came here so our son could play. What a cool park!!! Sand pit, two playgrounds, grass area, toddler slide, and nice bathrooms!
This is a great park. Enormous, well-maintained, with clean, locking bathrooms. Theres something here for everyone! Plenty of space to go on a family bike ride of just about any distance. Only downside is the parking lot is small, so if you plan to stay a while, come early or plan on parking on the street.
My two year old granddaughter thinks the park is amazing. Everyday I give her a choice of places to go and this is where she chooses. There are a number of different play areas with different skill levels. It is nice that the public bathroom is available, but wish the toilet seat covers werent so thin that they tear apart getting them out of the dispenser. All in all a great place for the littles.
This place is pretty great. Got a lot of cool stuff you can do at this park. My son always meets new friends here and has a blast! Has a lot of room for scooters or skateboarding. Got a basketball court to play some ball and plenty of trees to pop a squat in a shady spot.
Love this park, has a dog park area. So you can bring your dog and conviviality with others friendly dogs.Place safety, some trees, chairs, water fountains for dogs. They can be free for a while, socializing, running, playing.
Quaint & petite neighborhood park is super popular and situated on a busy street, but has access to Capistrano creek (which leads to the beach). It has a large play area for thr kiddos and a good sized park for the doggos. The lush mature trees provide some nice shading, creating an ambience.of tranquility and quietness considering its parallel to a main drag. The parking lot is smallish making it a necessity to park on the street (good luck hauling the picnic needs from street parking). Id suggest being strategic about what to bring. It does get crowded with the ebb & flow from people, so Id recommend getting there early to stake out a nice shaded area. Its great for walking/strolling through, caution: dont think about riding an adult bike in the area since its heavily used by pedestrians, kiddies on trikes, and pups on leash. For a city park, on a busy street, its clean and it helps that the community users keep it that way. Remember to take your trash; pack in, pack out (in camping terms). The bathrooms are functional, when open. In a nutshell, this is a beautiful, diminutive, green space that is great for strolling, used heavily by locals of all ages and pupperoos. Stay well.
Excellent park. With easy accessible bathrooms and water fountains. Newer playground items in the past 2 years. Picnic tables. Nearby dog park. Benches. Small sand area, some rubber matted playground areas and some wood chip playground areas. Something for all ages.
This park is awesome. Not only does my 3 year old love, i have fun also.....basketball hoop, dog park, large grass area, bathroom and cool innovative toys.
Great place to start and end a bike ride along the wash. Kids can play on playgrounds or run around in grass. Construction on path completed so easier to get on and off. Lots of homeless near but police do a good job of keeping them away from park.
Lovely park. Has smaller playground for toddlers and a regular playground for older kids, half court for basketball and restrooms. Also near a dog park with lots of room for whatever your needs and good amount of green space. Only downfall is there is not a lot of parking.
We love this park. Only reason why its a 4 is because the bathrooms are disgusting. Have 4yo and 18mo and the playground is great for both of them. The baby swings have a shade tent over it, which a lot of parks dont have. The grassy field is a plus, and my kiddos like to go to the dog park to see the dogs.
Great for the kids young and older. 1/2 basketball court, dog park, playground and grass area for playing ball or picnics. The only downside is parking is difficult (the trick is to park in surrounding neighborhoodand bathrooms are usually a disaster.
This is one of the best parks we have near home! And its a plus with the renovation they did. Not much parking bit the street does the job. Sometimes the ice cream truck stops by and its a perfect day.
Nice, large park. Great for riding your bike, having a picnic or bbq, or playing lawn games. There is a large play area / playground for young kids to get their hair down and climb, bit it gets a bit crowded on weekends with large groups for kids birthday parties. If you dont want to be in the heart of the busy play area, you can venture a bit deeper into the park, where there is plenty of grass and hidden picnic tables to have your own space. There is also a basketball half court and two good sized dog parks.
Creekside Park is located on Stonehill. A large park with plenty of tables and great play areas for the kids. Plenty of walking trails, it connects with two other parks and is next to the bike trail. A nice walk from the park to Doheny Beach. A dog park is located inside the park where your dogs can run loose. Parking in the park lot can be difficult at times, parking is also available on Stonehill. The park has bathrooms and drinking fountains, including a dog water fountain.
Great place! Clean, nice equipment. Didnt have a chance to check out the restrooms but based of the rest of the park, Id assume theyre not bad. Not often I find a place to make it more than a couple of hours but I could here. Worth checking out. #vwbuslife
This is an amazing Park. The city of Dana Point has gone far and above what a normal person is. Theres a great picnic area barbecuing area and three different play areas for all size children. Its also connected to to dog park so its convenient for all. Only problem is parking can be limited and you may have to park on the street.
Great park for the kids and for events such as birthday. Although there isnt that many picnic tables but theres a big grass area so you can bring your own tables and chairs. The playground has a wide variety of th I nga the kids can play with. Parking is limited but you can park on the street.
Today was the first time at Creekside Park, but definitely wont be the last. The park is kept very clean and the park equipment is awesome! Not your average just swings and slides. We loved it!
