Crazy Bean Cafe in Hamhŭng

A very small cafe with a limited menu. The burger and chips are one of the best things on the menu. I ordered the soup of the day and they forgot the slice of bread that would have made it better. Luckily, they did notice this half way through the meal and reduced the check slightly to make up for it.You can reserve your seats before you go or (like me and my friendget lucky and find a 2-seater table. Would recommend it more for a 2-people catch-up rather than a serious family meal.

We have been having regular Saturday night take aways during lockdown and they are amazing. Last weeks dinner was extra good as the chips and wings were back to being wonderfully crispy and yummy. Pizzas are also exceptional.

A vegan cafe! Deserves 5 stars for that in itself. I had the crispy tofu wrap with barbeque sauce. All freshly made and wonderfully put together. I cannot describe how beautiful it tasted.I had a takeaway - recyclable box. The cafe/restaurant is very inviting and I will want to go back to dine in. Would recommend checking opening times before you visit - closed Monday - Wednesday.Located in the centre of Great Bookham, would say if you need to park to use the co-op car park (pay & displayand cut through the shop to get to the high street.

Wonderful little cafe. Im not a vegan but really tasty crispy tofu wrap with salad and the coffee with oat milk is really good too.

Had the Christmas Sausage Wellington and Parsnip soup. Tasty but dry. Veg was a bit sparse and soup a bit thin. Staff were cheery and friendly. Hopefully it will develop.

Amazing food and friendly staff. We went for a late afternoon snack and ended up having a really great Tofu wrap and spicy Cauliflour wings. The staff were warm, friendly to talk to, and service was first class. Will definitely be returning soon.

Superb vegan food and the cakes are not to be missed. Great value for money. The staff are very friendly and I even got some vegan baking tips! Our dog was given a mountain of cushions to relax on. Happy experience for all of us and we will become regulars.

Fantastic food and great service. Would definitely recommend to anyone who appreciates good healthy food. Ill certainly be back for more and try some of the options I didnt have room for !

Really good food. Came down on a Saturday afternoon, and had the BBQ Tofu wrap and cauliflower wings. Can heartily recommend both, as well as the ridiculously generous cake portions!

Tiny cafe, excellent selection of food at a good price. A range of wonderful dishes, which are so tasty. Whether you want veggies, a meaty no-meat burger, cakes, or pasta. Perfect for vegans and non-vegans to enjoy usual meals in a plant-based version. Portion sizes are well-sized. Best chips Ive ever had!

This place is a fabulous find. I’ve been investigating vegan restaurants in my area and was delighted to find this not too far from home. The food was fresh and delicious and the menu was varied. The staff were lovely and the chef was accessible and available for a chat which always pleases an amateur cook. Thank you

Lovely little café with great food and friendly service, Vegan and Gluten free friendly too. Price came in a bit under what we were expecting too, which is always a plus!Parking is nearby at the Co-Op, but its £1 an hour Monday to Saturday. Could do with an additional high chair.

Great food although a little pricey. The cauliflower wings are amazing. Somewhat disappointing service as we were told they couldnt make us coffee because they cleaned the machine (a few hours before closing time). Missed opportunity for them as other customers asked for the same.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Small but varied menu of vegan dishes. Cauliflower wings in sweet chilli sauce were delish, as was the berry crepe and the brownie.

Lovely little vegan cafe in the heart of Bookham. Lots of options to choose from for lunch and dinner and incredible cake to accompany a quick cuppa. It is on a very small site so would recommend booking a table, especially for the evening and if youre a large party. Well worth a visit.

As a meat eater, my expectations were not that high to be honest, but the flavours were incredible. I had a simple veggie chilli, but it was so tasty and surprisingly filling. Such a nice vibe to the place too. Ill be back.

Had such a wonderful experience here, I visited on a Saturday with a friend whilst passing through the town (so glad more vegan places are popping up outside of London), they only had one front of house staff member but we didn’t have to wait too long to be served; the lady was very friendly and helped us pick from the exciting menu. The food did not take too long and was SO delicious! One of the tastiest mac n cheese I’ve had and for sure the BEST brownie I have ever tasted. Left with a happy tummy and a smile on my face!

My husband took me for lunch at the Crazy Bean Cafe yesterday as a surprise. It was a wonderful surprise, the food was gorgeous. We both had grilled sesame tofu salad and satay dressing for lunch and then my husband had a huge piece of chocolate chip sponge cake while I had a slice of raw strawberry cheesecake, it was all very tasty and the coffee was good too. I wish we lived locally so I could pop in regularly to try the other items on their menu, well definitely have to make a return visit.

Great food, good prices, super dog friendly. (They were apologetic because they didn’t have beds for the dogs, so they “only” got treats)Will be back!

As a cyclist & a vegan I am often trying to find spots that satisfy both. Set close to Leith Hill you can get a good spin in before indulging in light meals, hearty meals or sweet vegan cakes (recommend the lemon)!Will definitely be coming back here with others.Bikes were safe out the front for those wondering!

Enjoyed a lovely meal for six with the most amazing cake - save room for cake! I also ordered some birthday cupcakes to pick up this morning that were thrilled with. I wish we lived nearby, hopefully well be passing through again sometime!

Food was delicious. The carbonara tasted very cheesey and the tofu wrap was full of flavour. Staff lovely and I would really recommend the coffee and walnut cake. If only I could cook like this at home, yum!

I found them on Happy Cow, currently the only vegan restaurant in Surrey. The Wellington and roasted vegetables was lovely as was the dessert. Personally I would have liked the lentil bolognese to have had a bit more spice, but just a personal preference. Very friendly staff.

Ive been meaning to check this place out for ages and finally managed to go there for lunch today. I was really impressed! The food was outstanding and very good value for money. The service was also very good. I will definitely go back.

Our 1st visit after finding the restaurant on happycow. We are so happy that there is a vegetarian/vegan restaurant within walking distance. We had a lovely bottle of wine, an amazing bbq tofu wrap to start, 2 great mains and then a to die for deep fried cookie dough desert. Nom nom. Very friendly staff too. Cant wait to go back.

Lovely cafe - great to have a vegan restaurant in Surrey. We had the Xmas set menu. Portion size was spot on - 3 courses without feeling uncomfortably full. Presentation and quality was 1st class. Weve previously had to travel to Brighton or London for such an experience. Please support this restaurant, the owner and the animals deserve it.

The food here was the best weve ever had. The wellington with roasted vegetables and red wine jus was just wonderful. Also had a delicious almond slice with vanilla soya ice-cream. The staff and very attentive and friendly too. Definitely cant go wrong with this place.
