Wow, having the chance to discuss with Mrs. Kripp, descendant of the Stirbey’s was really awesome. I’m not a wine enthusiast, but the way she evokes the story of the family, the communist era, the wine yard secrets… it’s a must for everyone!

Gazdele intai, apoi locul si vinurile, sunt de nota 11. Atmosfera, poveste si atitudine, asta gasesti aici. O sa-ti placa chiar dacă nu ești un cunoscător in ale vinului si vei fi tratat extraordinar aici.

I wasnt expecting such an experience. The tour was given by the actual heiress of the Stirbey domain, which was quite a time travel into the books of history. The pictures, the names, the story, the hundred year old antiques together with the detailed process of how the wine is created made the tour a truly inspiring experience. All of this while enjoying several glasses of several exceptional wines. Im actually a beer lover, not a wine aficionado but today the balance was definitely tilted.

Wonderful Visit! It is a beautiful winery, located in a beautiful region. The history of the revitalization of the winery is interesting, and the wines are by far some of my favorites from Romania. Mr. Bauer the winemaker does a meticulous job of caring for his grapes and truly understands the vine. Mr. Bauers personal winery is also a hop, skip, and a jump away, where he practices unique innovations including roses that have the capability to age! I also found Crama Stirbey as the most welcoming to international visitors. I would love to see these wines in Canada! The 2018 Negru de Dragasani was one of my favorites from the line up of great wine! (Negru de Dragasani is a grape that is native to that regionGood complexity with a concentration of dark & red fruits. Yum.I highly recommend to visit this place if you havent yet!

Un loc minunat pe care l-am descoperit din intamplare. Un peisaj absolut fantastic, o mancare delicioasa demna de restaurantele cele mai fine de la Paris, si o prezentare excelenta. Singurul mic punct negativ este ca servirea este un pic lenta, dar daca aveti la dispozitie mult timp, este un loc absolut exceptional pentru a bea un vin, a face o pauza relaxanta privind un peisaj foarte frumos, si mancand ceva bun :-)
