Crafty Teller in Arnold

A very confusing place to be. Went back to eat here for the second time last week and the menu has changed and the amazing burger we had last time seems to of been replaced with a very odd mix of items, like they dont quite know what kind of place they want to be?Food was lacking in flavour so will be looking for somewhere else in Sherwood as my new regular eating spot.Also its very obvious the owner doesnt seem to handle criticism very well

Really lovely place to go for food. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The staff was super friendly, but not over the top. More importantly The food was incredible, we had one of the burgers and it was delicious. 5 star.

Great good including vegan options, lovely cocktails. Well priced. Had a very good experience. Plus best vegan "chicken" burger I have ever had! They even had vegan mayo!

Tried this place Saturday night and found its a friendly place good selection of craft beers .a bit pricey but will go back again

Its not a bad pub, atmosphere is a bit lacking luster, but if your with a good group of friends you can make the most of it. Wish the music was just a bit louder though.

Whenever Ive been its been friendly and peaceful, this is a thursday night, but I see that as a great thing. The food has always been great!

Well .It wasnt what we expected .We was asked whats our order so had a bottle of fizz which arrived so warm , our order was written down on there pad .When the food arrived it had cheese etc which we asked not to add .Spoke to the staff , which then came with the correct order .They blamed it on the kitchen staff .

A really pleasant discovery, no idea how long its been here but I just found it. Really friendly staff who put up with me taking ages to choose a cocktail without batting an eyelid, decent prices and a good looking food menu that I look forward to nomming my way through.

Opens at 11, got there for 11:30 and it’s not open. knocked on the door and an employee pokes his head out and doesn’t return. What a great way to treat your customers. Sort it out

Last. Night I attended Craft at the Crafty teller. The event was amazing the food was fantastic and the staff and artists were incredibly friendly

Lovely little spot in Sherwood, where there are several great bars and pubs already, so competition is fierce. Waitress service due to covid, a great selection of beers. Worth a trip there just for the chimpanzee themed loos! And beers, obviously.

Lovely place, good atmosphere, good selection of drinks...... But..... We were sat down by a waitress who said shed be back to take our order.15 minutes later shes still talking to the group of 8 sat opposite us. Now i know part of the service is to be friendly but this waitress appeared to be doing all the talking while we sat there like lemons waiting, it was actually quite rude. We didnt get served until another member of staff spotted that we had been waiting. This has put us off returning.Visit 10:30pm Friday 28th JanI can now see the management reply..... And wholly disagree, we arrived around 10:30... And after a long wait we decide we would walk out if we didnt get served by 10.55, we actually got served at around 10.50. We are patient people normally but unlike said in the reply the staff were 100% "idle" chatting to another table next to ours after serving thier drinks. At no point ( on entry or otherwisewere we advised of any delay.You admit we had to wait a while but then say we only had to wait 4 mins?? .... Im not so sure youre looking at the correct people on your CCTV, like you said a few arrived at around that time. We watched at least 2 other couples come in after us.The response has now certainly put us off a return visit.

I love accidental finds and this was up there with the best.Good simple food beautifully presented and plenty of choice. We had the pie of the day and a pint for a tenner but it was a tough call as had gone in fancying a burger.Lovely staff who were both engaging, informative and fun.Quirky hand painted animal graphics everywhere were a nice touch.So much better than the formulaic chain pub we almost landed in when needing a meal that evening.

for the price it is 5star. Food was tastey and staff are nice. I had the turkey and cranberry pie, and i would definetely have it again. Of course a wide range of beers available, with my reccomendation being the gamma ray or neck oil. I would definetely go back. Best to book a tabke as it was busy.

Another lovely Sunday roast at the Crafty Teller. Managed to reserve tables for 14 family members. Portion was huge and food gorgeous. Disappointed with the lack of pudding choice (so lost one star for no chocolate or fruit pudding option).

A nice place but needs to decide what it wants to be. Is it a pub, a gastropub or a bar? It seems to be stuck doing all but neither at the same time.Lots of potential for a nice place to drink and eat once it works out its niche.

Very friendly serving staff, limited menu a lot of items missing, which made me wonder what if anything is made on the premises - However, good steak, great chips, and service .Love the decorations and being inside with plenty of fresh air

Came here today as a party of 8. We all had a great time and the Sunday Lunch was very nice i personally was not a fan of the red cabbage which was very sweet in contrast to the rest of the meal.We were looked after very well by the staff so thank you ladies. We will be back.

I used to love this place but it seems to be struggling at the moment. We booked it for a friends birthday who likes his draft bitter. On arrival we were told there was no bitter on draft. Also that the two main vegetarian options were off the menu (two of us are veggies). This was early lunchtime on Saturday and so not a time/day where youd expect them to run out. The staff were lovely and tried to accommodate (I had a mix of different menu items put together). I can see another review where items were off the menu. Needs sorting as soon as possible as it is such a good place to go.

Had lunch whilst visiting veggie son and partner so we had a variety of meals and all were excellent , nicely presented and delicious . Took a while but worth the wait.

Went for lunch as part of a group of 4 people around 2.30pm on a Sunday afternoon. The staff welcome was friendly but we were then told a long list of around 6 different menu items that werent available and a further 3 or 4 that only had one portion left. This also extended to beers as a couple of choices were unavailable. It wasnt hugely busy and less than half full so maybe it had been a busy week before that. The food itself was very nice and portion size was good but the prices were probably above average, a burger (with bacon and cheeseand chips with a pint was around £19.

Excellent food, attentive service, no complaints whatsoever. Concise menu (which is a good think IMO- we had rack of lamb and brisket. Defo would go again!

Disappointing Was expecting way more. Not worth the money. The veg was undercooked so couldn’t eat it , watery gravy and the pigs in blankets were not the greatest.Yorkshire pudding was probably the best thing on the plate.

Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Recently ordered cocktails and food for delivery which was great. Would recommend and look forward to paying a visit once reopened!

Just had a takeaway Sunday roast, along with cheesecake for dessert. It was superb, really great food. We will definitely be ordering it again soon!

Fantastic place for food and drinks. Staff are always nice and friendly. Made delivery with them this weekend and the food was delicious, fast delivery, friendly delivery service. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Again another great meal and super covid secure experience.We had the classics, burger and chips and fish and chips on this occasion. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. As ever the staff are always friendly and so very welcoming. Stacey was attentive, Friendly and generally super.From a covid point of view they followed all government guidelines to the letter and it was great to see staff using the anti back provided.

Had a fantastic meal just before lockdown 2.0. Amazed that the 2 staff managed to adeptly deal with a pub full of people and did it all with a smile too. The food was excellent too!

...clean and thoughfully arranged in these weird times. The lady who served us was really great...prompt, smiley ( behind the mask!), efficient but not rushed. Food was tasty and you gotta try the Oregano chips!Il go again

First time back in a pub since they have been open. Was really impressed with the Crafty Teller set up. Had to book the table initially with a time and duration of our visit. Upon arrival we had to wait in the porch area for a member of staff to seat us after sanitising our hands and the usual questions associated with Covid. No going to the bar, all table service, really friendly staff who came back to the table from time to time to take more drinks orders etc, especially the young guy, sorry didnt get his name. Felt really safe at all times. Separate entrance and exits. Would definitely return as I feel these guys have got it spot on 😊

Great little pub with bustling atmosphere, cosy environment, friendly staff and some real nice IPAs. This was my first visit to Crafty Teller and certainly wont be my last...

Lovely pub. The staff were super friendly and the food was tasty. Nice, light airy feel to the pub with modern decor. Mon-Thurs lunch times they do a meal for £6 which I just missed out on visiting Friday. Worth a visit for good or a pint.

Fantastic breakfast Muffin and the service is excellent. The waitress/ bar staff - Cara is really happy and out going nothing it too much trouble and chef Is obviously very talented. The service and food was 10/10. Will definitely visit again soon

We went in to try the new breakfast menu now that they open at 10:00. We ordered the Crafty Breakfast, the double sausage, bacon and egg muffin and a cheeky side of dirty fries. The food came out with only one patty but they soon ran out with the missing one and apologised. The owner even came and had a chat with us for a bit and gave us a discount on the bill. Friendly staff, great service and good food.

Love this place, cool styling inside and out, great drinks and the staff are great too.Love spending a Sunday here for a few drinks and play some games.A staple on the Mansfield road pub crawl.Highly recommended.

Nice bar. It has a great atmosphere inside and is really well decorated. It is something different for the area and stands out. There a number of good beer choices on tap. Staff serving were pleasant and friendly.

A decent pub, has an excellent selection of decent pints, in the way of titanic plum porter and lililleys ciders. The cocktails look decent, and have their own menu. Not the cheapest place, but then you arent getting fosters and Carling. Seems very child friendly, which as an adult pub goer, I cannot say is a good thing. Children almost outnumber the adults at the moment!

Not a bad pub. Friendly staff but tries to present itself as independent and hipster when its owned one of the largest drinks companies in the world. Not the pubs fault. Globalism rules hey. Much better that the pub that was there before.

We loved it here. Quirky art, lovely staff and amazing drinks and food. Even our 14 year old son liked it. He is not keen on pub like environments, but found Teller very nice and food good for him as well.

The decor and atmosphere is nice, but the beer is expensive.Also, they offer a plant-based menu with lots of options, but unfortunately, I think 99.9% of the plant-based community would agree that eggs are not plant-based, so the menu is actually quite difficult to navigate and understand whether things are actually vegan.In summary, has vegan options (including a breakfastthat is good value, but the menu labelling needs work and the beer is expensive.

Been in a couple of times now and havent been impressed. Decor is nice, but service has been pretty poor. The last time we went, a vegetarian member of our group was served a non-veggie version of her order. Staff admitted their mistake and were apologetic, but the response was very slow. The other meals were okay, but nothing spectacular. Havent been impressed, sadly, when we were really looking forward to this place opening.

Great food, lovely staff. Theres a great variety of food for everyone (we had two veggies and a fussy 3 year old at the table). Everything was beautifully cooked, the decor inside was lovely we went to dinner about 5.30-6 on a Friday and although it had started to fill up with people gathering for drinks it didnt feel pubby so I didnt feel uncomfortable with my son being there. Its just up the road from me so I will continue to return as I couldnt choose what to eat because everything sounded so amazing!

Decor and overall feel of the place is excellent. I didnt have food this time, but the menu looks great and the Plum Porter was perfection. Good range of drinks, I just hope they dont slip into the trap of getting mediocre run of the mill beer in and push the envelope a bit. Good stuff!
