Homey chain restaurant serving American comfort food, with an on-site general store.
We always have a great meal, but this time my breakfast was that good. I will give it another chance.
I had the roast beef and it was perfect! My son had a new chicken dish that he loved. The sides were great, too!
I have dined in and ordered food for pick up. It has been great every time. Also they kept Ale-81 in stock, which feeds my Kentucky feels.
Amazing experience! Today we went to cracker barrel after a very difficult few days.Jasmine was our waitress and she was lovely, attentive, patient and kind. My family came with 10 people and we are a demanding group (waitresses have quit in the past while serving us - that difficult!). She handled our requests with a genuine smile and terrific attitude. I do not write reviews but her kindness was a bright spot in an otherwise terrible day.Thank you Jasmine! I truly hope you get to read this.
This place used to be my best dinner, but the food quality is different now.The chicken salad no more comes with deviled eggs, or cheese bars, even the lettuce is one kind now... The sirloin and chicken tenders are way smaller portions. Ribeye is gone off the menu...Its just sad how they are struggling to stay open so they change the food portions and quality.
My 1st time going to a Cracker Barrel. Pretty cool! Great food and service. Thank you Debbie!
Had Ariona as our waitress and she was excellent! I had lemon pepper trout and it was amazing! We will go back again!!!
Its a Cracker Barrel. Fried things to eat and made-in-China Americana for sale. This ones as good as any of em and better than most: Very friendly service, food cooked perfectly, all done faster than youd expect.
We came here for lunch. It was very apparent our server was new and she was very overwhelmed. I’m not even going to bother commenting on the subpar service we received, I just want to bring it to corporate’s attention that their waitstaff needs in service on appropriate things to say to customers. After going back and forth with the server about what a “half and half” is on the menu (CB’s version of an Arnold Palmer), the server still brought the wrong drink to the table. When my husband let her know his drink was wrong and he asked for a new one, she dropped off a to-go cup and walked away to another table without saying anything. We thought this was odd because no one had received their food yet. The server came back to the table and said “I gave you that cup because we don’t have any clean dishes”.Even if that’s the case, you don’t say that to the customer. We were so disgusted by this comment that we hardly touched our food when it came out because we were concerned about the cleanliness of the dishes our food was served on.We won’t be back.
I dined here yesterday with my husband and checked in online per the instructions and was quoted a 15 minute wait. 40 minutes later I called because we still hadn’t gotten the text that our table was ready, which is what the instructions said to do. We were told that it would be another 5 minutes and they blamed us for their lack of communication. When we finally were seated the table was sticky and needed to be cleaned. They were out of a lot of menu items. I ordered the hamburger steak with biscuits and gravy, grits and scrambled eggs. My husband ordered the grandmas sampler. I wasn’t asked how I wanted my steak and was served one well done. The gravy was gross and bland the grits were inedible and both of our eggs were this weird consistency. Sort of like they started to make an omelette and then remembered Galway through they were supposed to make scrambled eggs. We also had to ask for drink refills. I’ll never go back here. If you want a good breakfast then go to the denny’s in orange city. They always get it right.
Extremely inconsiderate. Told breakfast would be a 45 min wait. Waited. Only when we got to the table did they tell us they were out of half the breakfast menu! I shouldnt have to ask at the door if main menu items are available.
Blueberry pancakes raw...waitstaff was nasty to my friend and myself! When left a small tip was sputtering...dropped check on table before food was completely served..had to ask for clean silverware...still covered in food...never checked back to see if everything was ok...never asked if we needed anything else...we asked for biscuits...they were brought when we were almost done...I am not going back!
Bun was black, burnt. Biscuit was half raw. The cheese tasted like burnt oil. Overall terrible food. Waitress was wonderful.
Always enjoy coming here. Great food, good prices, and amazing things to buy. Wonderful family atmosphere. Will be back.
Another experience gone to shame. The Hamburger Steak was dry, gravy and onions lacked flavor for a dollar upcharge. The Catfish was mushy and flavorless. The Cheesy Homestyle Chicken came without most of the pictured toppings.
My last visit was a while ago, they have upgraded the menu & serve wine & beerStill keeping in they classic feel of the place with the changes to foods & drinks. The service was friendly and fast. The food was hot & just right.
Yummy food and quick service. Wasnt a wait at all and service was quick. Will definitely be back on my next trip
Food and waitstaff was amazing. However the cashier carried on a conversation with her coworker not once speaking to my husband or I as we were paying our bill. Conversation continued literally with us standing between them. I found that rude and totally unprofessional.
Great lemonade. We all order the kids menu. Its the perfect amount. My mom is a senior and my kids leave half their food most if the time 🤣
It used to be great i went a year ago or so, and its changed alot when is went on August 8th, they dont bother folding napkins with silverware anymore. Which sucks, and you cant get all the breakfast options if you went there for dinner you can only get some of them. Honestly if youve been before and want to go again for nostalgia, just dont its not the same.
We asked for our biscuits to come out before our meal. The food was so quick that minutes later our server was back with BOTH the biscuits and food. It was the quickest I’ve ever seen at a Cracker Barrel.
Well, Cracker Barrel isnt my favorite, but the SERVER saved the day giving them a 5 star rating. Jose was great. Man, does he Hussle. He made sure we were happy, and did a great job caring for us. Best service that we have EVER had at a Cracker Barrel. Theyd better give him a raise, and a promotion, or someone will court him away. Bright, fast, and personable, he could land any job he wanted. Cracker Barrel better treat him right, or theyll be stuck with some of the bad attitude servers they already have. Ask for Jose as your serverIf he hasnt already gotten some wonderful new job, youll be glad you asked for him to serve you.
Gave it 2 star because of the country store part that is about 20% of a visit....As far as the restaurant experience,,, it does not rate for any star...I am an old long time customer... and was saddened that they have not recovered from the long time gone covid quarantine. ......They have gone from a country restaurant, operated on personal pride to a corporate poor quality money making business... living off the reputation of the old school country restaurants employees pride...... not long before they fail.....Had the meatloaf diner,,, the meatloaf was the most horrible I have ever eaten, all I can think of to comprehend it to is canned cat food, exact same consistency appearance, and smell...was Luke warm, and tasted rancid, th mashed potatoes had potential, unfortunately being Luke warm with about a tablespoon glob of a very bland cool so called country gravy on topside them disgusting and insulting.. speaking of gravy I ordered gravy for the meal and everyone knows on meatloaf and potatoes its brown gravy...Unless its specified country meatloaf, the meatloaf had no gravy..., the corn was good but cool...The founders would role over if there knew what has happened to there cornbread.. seriously the absolute worse,, little cookie cutter hockey pucks ,no corn flavor, cold and round...The floor manager fits a poorly run cooperate eating establishment , young buck that cruised through a busy dining room at 60 mph nodding his head at whoever looked his way,, in a very cheap almost comical way ,!!!! Not recommendable....
Our waitess today was the best we have had at Cracker Barrel. Very attentive and friendly Cynthia was fantastic. Made sure we did not need anything at all time. The food is great and the gift store is dangerous.
Unfortunately, I visited on Fathers day with my wife, son and extended family. The table we were seated at was wet, staff did not dry it off after wiping it down with a wet cloth. The food was good. I had the Country Fried steak and it was very tasty. The environment earned this review a 3 star. The air vents were covered with dust, overall physical environment represented a restaurant chain that did not value its customers by presenting dirty looking air vents and ceilings.
We were on vacation and my brother-in-law took us to eat. I love all. Excellent food. Unbeatable store. We will return a thousand times more. I highly recommend it
The manager Glori@ was very rude and disrespectful. She wouldnt give me the opportunity to explain anything concerning the purchase of my meal, but rather stated she doesnt want to argue back and forth with me because she was tired and had been there all day. Other customers with larger or equal parties who arrived after us was served before us. Definitely obvious discrimination. Order wasnt prepared correctly and customer service provided by the managerial staff was very unprofessional. It gets 1 star because I have to rate it. My experience on 6-26-2022 deserves a negative 0!!! So disappointed with my experience today.😥 Glori@s behavior came across as racist/racially offensive!!!!!!!!
So good! One of my favorite breakfast spots to go to. They have good as Pancakes and hashbrown casserole
Thus is the ABSOLUTE best Cracker Barrel we have ever been to. The food was fresh and the service was outstanding!!!! We had a great time while on our vacation. It was walk next door from our hotel. Will be back when we go on our cruises. The manager was even working his behind off. This was truly a family atmosphere. Thank you
I love this place!! Every Cracker Barrel Ive ever tried has had perfect food! The service is always top notch! The store area up front always has new and different themed gifts and home decor as well as nostalgic toys and candies. This one was no exception! Keep up the great work guys!!
I dined here with my family for breakfast. As we arrived theres a gift shop you walk through, offering candies, clothes and others items. At the back corner is the restaurant. We didnt need to wait, even though we were a large group. The waitress was very personable, friendly, and attentive. Our food took some time, but the wait wasnt inconvenient. Im not much of a breakfast person myself, but I would highly recommend this place to those that do. We spent about 10-20 per person and I really enjoyed my experience. The atmosphere is very homey and old feeling. The demographic is mainly older folk and families.
It was okay. Nothing special. I feel like the past few times at cracker barrel I have been disappointed. Ive been to different locations. The food quality over all has declined significantly. I do feel this location had good service though.
Wonderful English speaking servers. It is a shame that in the United States of America very few people are speaking English these days. Food was good. Ate there several days while staying at a nearby hotel. Had their chef salad, grilled chicken tenders and the chicken and broccoli. The baby carrots and fried apples were good. Cole slaw was good. Thank you again for hiring English speaking servers for Americans like me.
Great place. Good food, good service and clean. Front store area had a smell going through that wasnt in the restaurant part. Oh and the kids loved it too!
Our waiter was very funny and helpful, but some of the items got messed up. I had ordered 2 sides of dumplings and 1 side of Mac and cheese. Instead I got 1 dumpling and 2 Mac. Not the end of the world and I didnt mention it, because it was Mothers Day and I didnt want to put any more stress on the kitchen. The food was delicious, and an enjoyable experience.
We arrived and there was a 1/2 an hour wait or more we asked what else was in the area because we were on a time constraint we had to be at the auto train to go back home we decided to stay instead of driving all over however after sitting waiting to be seated we noticed that people who came after us were being seated before us and when we questioned what was going on? we were advised that he thought we were leaving but we had received a text message from CB that we were going to be seated within a half an hour the manager sat us immediately and we were able to get to the auto train on time thankfully, the food was good however the pot roast was all fatty I understand that it creates flavor but when you get more fat than meat to eat you loose stars
Very friendly restaurant with staff that were helpful and attentive.Food was hot and savory comfort foodBathrooms cleanWheelchair accessibleEasy to get in and out of. Lots of parking
I have never been to one before. I like the country store side of it. I grew up in small towns with second shops, seeing all the old stuff on the walls and ceilings was a nice memory. The food! It was all GREAT. The cobbler!!!
Food is not that good. But then again I never had a chicken fried steak before. Maybe its supposed to taste like deep fried cardboard topped with wallpaper paste. The service was friendly. Prices were a bit much.
Great family place. Something for everyone. The store is always great to explore. It was clean and well organized. And I love seeing all the beautiful country style items they have. The restaurant is nice and kept clean. The staff are always friendly and make sure you are taken care of. The food is amazing. There isnt anything there that we have tried that we all didnt enjoy. Prices are good for what you get and make sure you stop in the store to get a sweet treat on your way out. So many old fashioned candies. Its our extra splurge at the end of a great meal.
Got the Easter meal and it was delicious! Very easy to get ready and serve and more than enough food for the whole family. Would definitely recommend CB to cater your next Easter feast.
Outstanding!!!!!! Always my number 1 choice for good Southern food! Thank you guys for a great service, no waiting. Amazing time!
Usually great, sometimes not so. Last experience on Friday 3/25 excellent. When I get mashed potatoes I always get the gravy on the side because it can be too salty. This was true on this visit and, oddly, the biscuits were too salty too, and the gravy had developed a skin. Everything else very good, but portions are shrinking.
Nostalgic atmosphere, friendly staff, wonderful place to find that unique gift
What’s crazy is that for some reason I thought Cracker Barrel was just a breakfast restaurant that served only for a specific time frame in a day. Nope! Breakfast lunch and dinner all day the food is amazing service was fantastic. Their BBQ sauce is so good the lady didn’t know exactly what kind it was but she was nice enough to give me extra to go home. I highly recommend them!
This rating is for the restaurant. This has happened twice now. I ordered the family portion of the Hashbrown casserole which costs about $28 to be delivered. Mind you this is the FAMILY portion. As you can see from the picture, and putting my hand next to the container so you can see the size... what a shame! Theres essentially enough here for 2 people as side orders. I could get 3 full meals there for about the same price. I dont know if they cut the orders on the deliveries because they think people wont do anything but shame on me for giving them a second chance. Will not give them a 3rd shot. People are tight on cash right now and this doesnt reflect the value that Cracker Barrel used to be known for.
Not bad! Usual franchise diner, so it’s hard to expect anything spectacular out of these places. The steak could have been a little more firm, it felt slightly soggy. The hashbrown casserole was tasty, the green beans were a little bland but alright, and the mashed potatoes tasted a little too solid, as if they weren’t fresh. The appetizer we had was tasty though.
No need to wear make up to this restaurant, it already comes included with the disgusting dirty service ware. I had already been given a Golden ticket for two which is their way of saying "sorry, our bad " and it had taken me nearly two years until I decided to give them another go. Well they havent improved in any way. Whats worst is that when I brought it up to the managers attention he thought it was funny and offered zero apology. Cracker barrel is a dirty, disgusting place to eat at and Im done with them. Enjoy the photos!
The food and service was great as always, however Im in a wheelchair, there were no parking spots in the front or sides, but there were 6 pick up spaces open. We drove around 3 times they were empty every time. We had to park in the 2nd row in the back. My husband has a bad leg and had to push me to the ramp in front. Only because he likes Cracker Barrel so much did I even agree to stay
New to RVing, we learned Cracker Barrels have an option for a quick overnight stay to get back on the road-paired with food, how perfect!Online ordering not functioning right, so had to call and spoke with Christina-so friendly and cheery in the morning! Even the gentleman at the counter was conversational and couldn’t be nicer. 3 Great coffees, breakfast sandwich, biscuits, sausage and hash browns for $19 plus grat. Everything complete in the bag-A+ for packaging! Thank you!
