Always a great experience when I come here to eat! Service is great, friendly, courteous, and the food never fails to satisfy! I dont have many chances to come here, but whenever Im in this area, I make sure to stop in. Its as close to home as you can get without being at home! Fantastic restaurants, no matter where I am!

I ate chicken and dumplings which is always awesome,but I also ordered peach cobbler, something was wrong with it .I took it to go got home and took bite ran to bathroom to spit it out .freaking gross.idk why if it was spoiled or what . normally they awesome. Just beware of peach cobbler.

Barboursville WV CB ..hands down best CB in four states! Fast, friendly and the food was delicious.

Too long a wait or weekend eating out. Today we had beans and greens. The greens were really good, but the beans were dry, hardly any juice on them. It took our waitress 4 times to be asked for vinegar for my greens. Today was not good because they had a boil water problem which was not their fault. They could have bought water to serve....

Ive been cracker barrel before a few times and the food wasnt that bad. This simply wasnt the case at this one:. I got a sampler that consisted of meatloaf chicken and dumplings and a country fried ham,. My sides were mashed potatoes green beans, if there was a third one I dont remember what it was. Let me just tell you the meatloaf was so bland as to be on par with hospital food The glaze was so sweet it was the only flavor for part of the meatloaf. The chicken and dumplings I cant complain about it was decent. The country fried ham had a foul odor of something rotting. And it was so salty that you might want to sit it out in your field for the deer to have a salt lick but I will say that it was a high blood pressure headache waiting to happen if you ate it. The mashed potatoes were again so bland that it was on par with hospital food. The gravy that came with it was only good because it had so much salt that thats really all that you require out of a good gravy. Our waitress was efficient but really didnt have any personality I mean she did her job but thats about all she did.

The chicken and dumplings, with mashed potatoes, green beans and biscuits.Plus, some of that Crackle Barrel brand peanut butter fudge in the gift area.Any time youre ready, Ill be in car.

First time I ate at Cracker Barrel was in 2011. It was an excellent place to choose on our family trip to eat out for breakfast, lunch & dinner. We love to sit down and enjoy an at home dining experience at Cracker Barrel. Also Cracker Barrel reminds me of the days at camp and eating as a group at the mess hall as they called it at camp or looking at my family reunion photos when my great grandma and other family use to run a mess hall for the forestry workers in the USA.This is a wonderful restaurant!Thank you!From, the Hutchinson Family

Both the food and the service is lacking. The food was cold. Might as well forget asking for anything extra, utensils, plates, etc. The menu has been downsized so much that there is only a few items to choose from. We also left the restaurant hungry.

Best breakfast in the area! Daily specials for lunch and dinner. I have honestly never had bad food or service no matter what or when I visit. Grilled chicken is one of my favorites!

Food was great, as usual. Had a good waitress. The young lady who delivered the food to the table - in place of our server (was completely clueless). We also encountered an assistant manager that lacked the necessary skills for her position. Overall, our service today was very much out of the ordinary and highly disappointing. Now, We will give them a "time out" - as it will take some time before we consider a return visit.

Love the food, the Chicken and Dumplings is my fav. Prices are great, we ate for 2 and only paid 28.00

This staff was amazing with us. Accomodations were made for our infant, awesome with our kids and us. Highly recommend if your in the area this is the best experience all around. Everything we ordered tasted perfect

Food was great, macaroni had a couple of burnt pieces in it but still tasted amazing.

This Cracker Barrel (Barboursvile WVhas the worse breakfast ever. Their biscuits are always hard (never freshand they don’t know how to make extra crisp bacon. It’s always brought out to me soft fried. Most restaurants anymore want to charge you a higher price for their food while giving you the worse in return.

My friend and I stopped for breakfast.It took a while to get drinks and a lot longer for our food. When the food came the biscuits were not done , very white and crumby, couldn’t eat them . Asked for some more done she brought some a little better but not really done.The other food was ok but not very hot .We were very disappointed, I’ve always loved their breakfasts.

All the food tasted like it was from a low rate "save a lot" pick 5 for 5 kinda joint. Couldnt believe how bad EVERYTHING was. Never again.....apparently they gave up on the home kitchen quality thing. Staff was nice...so no issues there though.

Usually would give a 5 star. This time the bacon, which I think is the best anywhere, was so hard it was not tasty at all. Didnt send back because we know everyone is trying their best. Cook should have realized it was to far gone...Next time we will ask for more... Still love the "CB"

This particular Cracker Barrel is always good for breakfast on the weekends! Think they staff up and prepare for better.

Went to Cracker Barrel in Barboursville, WV. The old timers breakfast has no grits and they brought only a small cup of gravy and biscuits for our table to share as it was supposed to come with my meal. We had to ask for napkins, server was not attentive and manager was rude. Would not recommend this place for no one.

Food was just okay. Hash brown casserole was crisp on the top making it difficult to chew. Eggs, pancakes, and bacon were okay. An off day comparatively.

Good food and service from waitress. However, the cashier at checkout did not seem to be very informed of prices, sales, etc. So the line was slow.

Food was good as usual, service was OK, waitress acted at times that she had some where else to be.

Always a great place to eat. I have never had bad service or food. Prices are great and the selection of food is some of the best.

Good "homey" food. Always had nice and attentive wait staff. Try to avoid the times theyre slammed, because space between tables is smaller than average and if you get set in the free standing tables, you will get brushed by people walking by.

Chicken and dumplings was not done. They tasted like the dumplings had been added to an existing batch and the new dumplings did not cook. Doughy. Only time they have ever been like that. Once out of the many times ordered.

They set us down and it took 15 or 20 minutes before the waitress took our order. I seen somebody else seated way after us and they took their order before ours. but the food was good. then the service improved.

Delicious hearty homestyle food fpr the whole family, and it all tastes slow cooked and tender! I love Cracker Barrel and have since I was a kid vowing there with my family. Very family friendly. Lovely decorations male the visit entertaining. And the store in the entrance is always a fun and neat experience to shop through afterwards. I love how the gift shop always has things that are so unique that you wouldnt find anywhere else and you can also find things that dont cost a pretty penny but are lovely decorations. The whole experience in the resturqunt is fun and relaxing. And that includes the fairy lights and rocking chairs on the front porch.

In an empty restaurant, I waited more than 10 minutes for a server to come over to me. He took my complete order and took a long time to bring me a glass of tea. Then he took a long time to bring my lunch, which wasnt what I ordered. He fixed it, but my lunch was ruined at that point. Then he came back to see if I wanted another tea and I was all but done with my lunch at that point.I used to love Cracker Barrel, but your quality, quantity and choice of things has gone way downhill, along with your service. I spend more time talking to managers about poor service as I do eating.I didnt bother speaking to the manager on this occasion. I just wanted to get the heck out of there. The managers apparently dont listen either because it continues to happen.Extremely dissatisfied with three restaurants I have been known to frequent over a 60 mile radius.YOU NEED TO GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!! YOURE RUNNING YOURSELF RIGHT OUT OF BUSINESS!!

We got seated quickly and the server was quick to the table they now serve alcohol which just seems weird at a cracker barrel but the portion sizes are smaller than what they used to be and my food was messed up I just didnt feel like waiting for it to be remade although it did come quickly

Very friendly, sweet staff and the food was very good. The shop is so cool with lots of neat things, loved it!! Great prices for the portions of food you get!

We visit pretty often but tonight was not a good night to go ! It took 47 minutes to get our food and I don’t usually complain at all but I felt that if you don’t get your biscuits with breakfast then shouldn’t the meal be discounted ? If the waitress would have told my husband that it wouldn’t come with biscuits until he had finished his meal , he would’ve chose something different. At check out they always ask how things were and I was honest and said could I see a manager. It then took another 10 minutes of waiting but finally in my nicest voice explained what happened. She definitely needs a few lessons in customer service because instead of apologizing she tells me they are 3 people short . I figured that out for myself. Then she said well I can take a drink off and that the biscuits are complimentary anyways! That’s why we won’t be back to the Barboursville CB because it wasn’t as much about the money but that my husband ate his entire breakfast ( couldn’t eat the gravywithout even being offered toast or told how long it would take . Very poor customer service! It’s a shame really . Visit 3/16

The food tasted good the lady seating us was nice. The waiter asked how i wanted my hash browns and brought the opposite of what i asked for. Never gave my husband a refill on our coffee or asked if we wanted anymore to drink. We was never checked on the whole time except to give us the check and their was plenty of staff olin the kitchen and waitresses and it wasnt busy. They sat us down next to 2 extremely dirty tables and they never got cleaned the whole 45 minutes or more we was there so we had a lovely view. Other than that food tasted great.

I’ll say the food here is almost always excellent as well as the service. However this morning they struggled. My sister in law’s food came out wrong as well as mine. Then my wife’s omelet was undercooked. That’s why I gave them four stars instead of five. Next time I’m sure they will get it right as usual. Felt like the manager should have came and made things right.

CB has solved the biggest problem they had: the wait. Now with the app you can get on the list and not have to stand around for 45 minutes. Nicely done!! This one accommodated our party of TEN!! Service was AMAZING, the food was on point, and they even brought the kids food first to make sure their needs were addressed. Thanks again, CB!

All Around Phenomenal Experience! Our Server Was The Nicest, Our Food Was Cooked Perfect, The Huckleberry Tea Was Soooooo Amazing. Cant Wait To Come Back!!!!

The food here was absolutely amazing! I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was hot, juicy and had just the right amount of fried breading! They have an amazing selection of sides and the ones I tried were awesome! The biscuits are super fluffy and tasted amazing! The atmosphere is nostalgic for me and my family and it hasnt changed a bit! Prices were great, staff was super friendly and we didnt have to wait long for our food at all! The store had a lot of great priced, cute Christmas merchandise that I just couldnt go without! I will definitely be going back soon!

A joke. I order this salad at Cracker Barrel’s all the time. This one is at least a 1/10 of the size I normally get. Come home starving! Server, that’s the salad. Really???? Never again go to this place!

Management actually needs training at this location. Yes, it’s Christmas Eve, yes it’s busy- we came prepared for that. But we were seated in the back room where they assigned only one server to wait on almost 10 full tables.As I observed the frantic waitress, I also observed the Manager calmly, slowly, add a log to the fire.I walked up to the Manager to ask him to give this gal some help. He looked at me as if I were from space. At the same time, the hostess walked up to where I was standing and said she would assist in serving in that room.Managers should “see the need and take the lead.” Roll up your sleeves, help new arriving guests get drinks, pre-bus, get a little dirty if necessary. That will earn respect in the eyes of the team members, and solve the immediate problem.The servers did a great job, and the food was delicious and prepared as ordered (check out the photo of the hard-to-prepare eggs over medium)

Great down home food. A well stocked and Americana-inspired gift shop. My wife and I ate here for less than $30 (20% tip included). Cozy and warm atmosphere with delightful hosts.

Came late Saturday morning, and they were packed. The wait for a table was only 15 minutes. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, and explained the special they had ongoing. The food took a little while to reach us due to how busy they were, but it was hot and fresh when it arrived. Hands down, the BEST macaroni and cheese I think Ive ever had; also my pancakes were perfect. Ill admit its been a few years since I was in a Cracker Barrel, but if they are all as good as this one, then Ive been missing out! Check them out!
