Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Jackson

This is the worst cracker barrel I have been to. I dont think I will be back. Poor service. Food quality is poor and the wait times are ridiculous!!!

It was really busy but service was quick. Food was good. We were there during the Jackson water crisis so that did have an impact on our experience and availability of beverages. But overall it was positive.

Went there 20 minutes before closing on a Thursday night, and they were out of a lot of food, and because of the municipal water problem, they didnt have a lot of drinks either. Fortunately, they have good workers like juwan who comped our drinks and made the best of a less than ideal situation. Food was mostly delicious--we ordered grilled chicken and fried catfish entrees. Cracker Barrel needs to upgrade their biscuit and cornbread recipes, IMHO. Decor was typical Cracker Barrel chic. Overall, we still love Cracker Barrel wherever we travel.

Food was terrible. Didnt have 2 main items. Overcooked.

Had dinner tonight...waited almost an hour....mashed potatoes were ice cold.....corn reheated too many times and room temp...They ordered NEW MASHED potatoes for me..WE finished our meal....NEVER GOT FRESH POTAOTES....SERVER WAS AWESOME... BUT WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN

We had good food at a good price. The waitress was friendly and took excellent care of us.

We waited 2 hours and got up and left without our food I would not recommend going there if youre in any hurry at all

Food was good. My server was very polite and attentive.

Love this place, normally i order breakfast regardless of the time of the day. Mistake. I ordered the roast beef, mash potatoes, and pinto beans. All was very tasty, but the roast beef was extremely tuff. Almost impossible to cut and chew.

Horrible curbside service. Sat in my car waiting for about 20min waiting for my food. After letting them know I was here through their link TWICE. Call 3 times. The second time phone was answered and they hung up. I cant even go in and get the food that I already paid for cause Im quarantining! I need my refund!

Poor service only four tables had people at them and we waited 30 minutes and were never seated so we left.

I usually enjoy Cracker Barrel, but this one was not a pleasant experience. Restuarant only had 1 cook and the manager preparing the food. This made for a long wait to be seated. Food was actually pretty good considering. Service however was atrocious. The server made us feel like we were a bother to her just by being there and was not friendly at all. Getting simple things like eating utensils seemed to be an imposition and after thought. Its not a place well be visiting any time soon.

Im only giving 3 stars because I love Cracker Barrel. This location was honestly the absolute worst Ive ever experienced. They were completely out of chicken... ALL chicken.. and therefore any chicken related menu option. They were out of tea. They didnt have any pot roast. (You see where Im going with this, right?Overall it was an unpleasant experience and I dont think Ill revisit this particular location any time soon.

Service was great. Chicken fried steak was dry and the breading was rock hard, like it was a day old or more. Fries and other food were fine.

What is there not to love about Cracker Barrel. The food always hits home and the hosts are a hit. The waiters may be working on their apron stars, but here’s 5 to spread around. My wife and I have done the Cracker Barrel thanksgiving meal a few times. You can’t beat it. I love all the games and knick knacks out front too.

Food was great, but server Diane seemed bothered. Mostly just mumbled and frowned. Not the southern hospitality Mississippi is famous for.

I ordered food from here to my job from Waitr a few days ago and when I received my food it was not fresh. The food was cold and hard and my biscuits and jelly was left out of the bag. My meal was $10.50 but after ordering through Waitr and tipping the driver it came to $24. After eating my food I immediately vomited everywhere. I called in to speak with a manager at Cracker Barrel and ended up speaking with a Laquita. I requested to have a refund but she was not willing to offer a refund. She asked did I have a doctor’s note for vomiting. I told her no and that I was still at work as the incident had just happened. She offered to have my food remade and I declined. I do not recommend ordering food for delivery from this restaurant.

1st I ordered the meatloaf then after 5 minutes the young lady comes back stating they were out. So I ordered the chicken. It was not cooked all the way thru. I showed the manager and the response I got was Im sorry. Wow. I will NEVER return to this location again

My food was good when it finally arrived. My daughter Steak was over cooked and the replacement steak took forever. We were in this place way to long. The waitress was professional but not really customer friendly.

Ashley at the front counter. Rude young lady. I love Cracker Barrel in Jackson ms but this was a rude young lady not helpful zero eye contact head down looking at a clip board

Wish I could give no stars. We were told that the wait was 20 minutes, after 30 minutes we were told we the wait was 35 minutes. After an hour, we were still told to wait for the table that people were still eating at when they were empty tables at the other side. Staff wasn’t friendly! We just returned all the merchandise we purchased and left!!

Everything was great. Loved my Momma’s pancake breakfast. Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Eggs were good combined with turkey sausage. Hot tea was fine. The tiny tea pot was really adorable. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. The server was nice. I came in at around 8:40 on a Sunday, so it wasn’t too busy then. However, after 9 it started to get hectic.

Wait time was average for the place but it took 45 minutes to get our food once we sat down. Then there was a hair in my biscuits. They took my meal off the bill but mom was still grossed out and went to the car to wait for us, leaving her food behind. The place wasn’t busy enough for this to have taken so long to get our food. This visit was on 3/25/2022 at about 9am.

We had a very pleasant experience overall. The waitress had the best attitude I have ever encountered in a server and the food was excellent.

Saturday afternoon visit for us. We had breakfast. The dining room was cold. Felt like a long wait for food.What can I say about Cracker Barrel that I havent already said? I only go for breakfast, no matter what time of day it is. Its dependable comfort food.

The staff here were so nice. The food was hot and fresh and tasted so good. Its a great place to get hone cooked family style food. Love it!

They was very busy and yet we had very good service. I will be back, food was nice and hot very delicious. We waited about 20 minutes on our name to be called but we got a chance to look at some of the beautiful things they had in the store.

The chicken pot pie was hot and delicious. Oh and I had to get me a side of okra.😋

Absolutely delicious!!! My family and I stopped here after trying 3 other places for breakfast this morning and being highly disappointed. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was very family oriented and the food was incredible!! Y’all saved the day ❤️ 15/10!!

Service is not good but the food is still good. We had to wait a long time to get our food with an almost empty seating. Waitress barely visible and we had to ask several times for stuff that is common.

Not a good experience at all. Our waiter would not bring a straw when we asked never would refill our drinks. We waited for several different things and finally left without receiving any of it. Not sure what was going on. People around us were experiencing the same thing. He would not bring anything

Very friendly staff. Jacobi was an excellent waiter. The food was awesome.

I have ordered from a delivery app a couple of times, and the food is always great. But I just called up to the store to ask for extra jelly/preserves, and the woman was rude and condescending on the phone. As someone who herself works in the local service industry, I find that unacceptable.

Everything was great... Our waiter was super nice... She also made sure that we were comfortable and didnt need anything... Food was delicious, fresh and hot...

The chicken had a good taste… but I found hair in my chicken. It was cooked into the batter. Another piece I had was still pink inside. The dumplings and mac and cheese weren’t seasoned well at all. I don’t recommend this. They used to be good. I don’t know what happened.

This place SUCKED!I had an appt. at the V.A. Hospital in Jackson, Ms., November 15, 2021.Usually, before I return home, I look forward to a Cracker Barrel meal, which has always been my favorite restaurant. Not this time. It was HORRIBLE. A medium rare steak that was burned charcoal black, served with a side order sitting on the plate and juice running everywhere.My salad came long after the steak. I never even got my water and Coca Cola. It was a JOKE!. There were only me and my girlfriend there and a girl and her grandmother sitting across the room from us. The place was a disaster. It was filthy, the crew were all in the kitchen and being loud with their joking and whatever. I asked to speak to the manager. He agreed that the steak was totally burned. It was filthy on the floor with food everywhere, tables uncleaned, the staff seemingly having a private party, my salad came after the burned steak and we never got anything to drink. I told the manager that, "Im not paying for this. Its a terrible shame that this is how you are running this restaurant."We got up and walked out. He said, "Ill cook you another steak". I laughed and said, "Are you kidding? Not on your life."What a shame about this restaurant. However, I later learned that this once beautiful area is now a "dangerous" place to be.

I dined here with family just before everyone left town. The food and service was amaizing. Our waitress Tamika was very attentive in making certain our table had everything to make our dinning experience perfect.

The service was very friendly and helpful. Wait time was not long and the food was hot, fresh and delicious. Love their breakfast. They have a variety of options in their store as well.

Food was great. Enjoyed my supper very much. But only gave 3 stars for this reason. Im traveling so planned to stay overnight in one of the RV spots. At around 9pm a security person stopped by and suggested that I not stay there, that its not a good area and very unsafe at night. Pointed me back to the one in Pearl. I was thankful he took the time to warn me. Wont go there again unless its just for a meal and then move on.

I purchased a particular lunch item today, (meatloaf), in which I have ordered several times in the past from the same location and also another location. I ordered through the app for pick up and decided to take a quick look before I drove off. Much to my surprise, the portion size was so small, it was literally 2 to 3 bites. I went back inside and stated my dissatisfaction to an employee only to be confronted a few minutes later by a manager stating, "You ordered the weekday lunch portion, this is all you get". I explained that Ive ordered the same thing many times with a portion at least twice the size and it was also the weekday lunch. She just said to me, "Sorry, theres nothing I can do", and handed me back my order. She didnt even make the slightest attempt to resolve my issue whatsoever, I was merely dismissed which made me feel completely disrespected, humiliated, and unappreciated as a customer.The 2nd photo is what is advertised and what I usually get in my order. I feel I was served a slab of dog food at best compared to the advertised product.True customer service and customer satisfaction no longer exists in most businesses today unfortunately. My situation was grossly mishandled in the most unprofessional manner. I definitely will never be going back!No Response! Issue never addressed 4 weeks later. These people dont care anymore when it comes to customer satisfaction.UPDATE: Today is 10/01/2021 which is several months since my initial complaint and reviews. After repeated attempts through their website, email, and Facebook page, Ive still been unsuccessful in getting a response or resolution concerning this matter. Due to this, I will NEVER visit ANY Cracker Barrel again and will be sure to sway Group outings from going there when Im in the group. I cannot believe the level of disrespect and arrogance from Cracker Barrel, so disappointing and a true shame.

When I ask for overHARD!!!!!! I WANT OVER HARD NOT WET AND YOKEY😒 I called and asked for the manager they never came to answer the phone!!! Wont be eating there again.

My party of 4 arrived before 10 a.m. we finally got food & ate after 11:10 a.m. Food was okay. Prices are good. Breakfast is served all day, which makes me wonder why it takes so long for scramble eggs, pancakes, and bacon. They advertise mimosa $5.99, I had better other places. They bring the mix in a glass & you pour your own already open mini bottle of champagne.

The food was very delicious and hot upon arrival for pickup. First picture Gilled Blacken Catfish, Mac & Cheese, Greens & Cornbread. Second plate Meat loaf, Mashed Potatoes, Greens and Cornbread.

Waitor was horrible (Emmery to be exacthorrible food. Only thing that was good was the side of fruit. My fish tasted like it was put in a blender, battered and then fried. Very mushy.

We had a terrible experience, which is unlike any other experiences we’ve encountered on a normal basis of dinning in here. Our waiter hardly visited our table, despite the limited amount of people dinning in, and when we ordered our food we received a tasteless excuse of what they called food. (See photo. We were also told there is no law enforcement or military discounts available, which is untrue. Just an overall bad experience.This plate of food is literally all that came on the plate.

The food was absolutely delicious especially after a day of showing my new fiancé how much I appreciate her!!!! The server was BEYOND great!!!!!!! We had a great time spending our evening here. Please excuse my mask as we are in Covid times 😅 Also, the napkins arent dirty. I had just indulged on a nice, hot, & buttery biscuit before my meal came out! That is why there is jam on the napkin, lol!!!!

My first time and my last time going. I waited 30 mins to get my food and when I got home I got a plate of air as shown in the picture. Now I looked online and seen 4 stars and asked people and they said they loved the place ,so I was like ok Im check them out. Walked in out of 3 or 4 people only 1 spoke, waited 30 mins for my order, it was another guy order the same time did and when we finally asked they said they was bringing the food out, when they brought it out it was food for a girl that ordered after us. Then one lady acted like she didnt want to take orders or be at work at all. Now the French toast portions were big Ill give them that, but i barely had any scrambled eggs.So yea I wont be going back.

I love Cracker Barrel but this one may well be the worst Ive been in. We had FOUR different waitressess and then they had a little pushing thing going on about who would bring the to go box because they all wanted to stay around the corner talking to each other. The dinner of the day wasnt ready, we were told wed have to wait 30 minutes for that! The portion sizes have really shrunk since last time I went in one of these restaurants but not the prices. We had several other things wrong with order. Its one of those moments you think Im not sending it back to be fixed, theyll probably just spit on it or something! They dont even have ketchup bottles anymore!

Have stopped here for breakfast several times over the past few years and had nothing but good experiences. Today my food came super fast and the waitress did a great job. During the week there is hardly anyone else here early in the AM, I like that. Ill continue to eat here in the future.

This place hasnt disappointed me yet! They have amazing cooks that prepare tasty food with a wait staff thats super friendly and fast. I definitely recommend the chicken fried chicken hands down!
