Cowboys - Bar in Tyler, United States
Everyone knows how to dance!!!
Hardly open was supposed to get a drink had to get directions elsewhere. Hadn’t been here since before college I reckon that’s why.
These nerds count your drinks. If have 3 will turn u in. Its most assinine club ive ever been in. Dont waste time. Tailgate.
Kicked my brother out for drinking and he didn’t have a drop. Absolutely ridiculous, he didn’t have a sip. Would not recommend going if you are not 21 they will kick you out.
Nice place bartenders were nice but everyone else was rude and unpleasant
music selection was good and the dance floor was a good size, liquor and drink options flat out suck, the place a s a whole was pretty nice.
Great place to unwind, great DJ and nice dance floor, an all around good place to go and dance to allot of older country music.nice and Friendly people of all ages, not allot of non dance music. DJ will play good music from the past, all you have to do is ask.
Overpriced and drinks are often watered down this is sadly a dying local legend business that I grew up going to for the past 15 years. This place is slowly becoming a tourist attraction and they will kick you out after drinking 15 drinks BEER AT THAT. Ridiculous left there to go to the new club.
Unprofessional and extremely rude girl working the door. Dirty tables and floors were not cleaned. Go somewhere else to have a good time.
One of the few bars still open decent dance floor and its got concert still going
My first time there the emploees where nice good music ..i prolly go back..
Fun atmosphere and I appreciate the range of music genres.
I used to love going here. I want to go to a COUNTRY dance club. The problem is they are starting to follow all the other clubs and have started making it more Hip-Hop and making the lighting to be more like a rave or Hip-Hop venue. They have also started making the music so loud you literally can not hear what another person is saying. I actually want to meet new people and be able to have a conversation with them. One night I was there they blew the speakers over by the American flag.
We went to Cowboys for the first time, last night (Saturday). We are in our 40s and we had a great time. Cover was $5 a person. There was different drink specials throughout the night, at great prices. We went about 9:00. Not alot of people at that point. More people showed up by the end of the night. Closed at 1am.Crowd was a good mix of ages. Music was good. Great mix in country from when we were growing up and current country. Towards the end of the night there were spurts of non country music for the younger crowd and line dance segments. This was very fun for us. As with our age, we are kind of in the middle age range so we liked both the new and old music. We also enjoyed watching and learning new dances and steps. There were quite a few couples that were very talented dances. Free dance lessons on Thurs. Evenings at 6:30 pm. Hoping to be joining that soon.
Great low friction dance floor best I have seen in 20 years.(These folks know what they are doing Great service, everyone with friendly demeanor, great attitudes on part of all including patrons, Old school Texas.
We went to watch someone play live on a Friday night. The drinks were good and not watered down. Nothing was overly expensive. There was a $10 cover at the door, but the staff was super polite and friendly. We really enjoyed the bar tender. Friday’s are apparently a little slow after the pandemic, but the staff said they’re slowly picking back up. Highly recommend.
Decent country bar that also plays a variety of music on the weekends. Drinks are fairly priced for a bar (ours were pretty well watered down, ordered beer after a couple whiskey sours). They converted the pool into a pond, even saw a couple of ducks hanging out. Great big open concept with a large dancefloor in the middle. A few pool tables, but theyre pretty beat up, this isnt the place for pool though. Definitely come here when theyre hosting a live band, this place can get packed then!
Great dance floor, good ambiance. And the duck pond is a great touch. The drinks, while well made, could have a better selection (beer).
Had a great night! Bar tender was very nice, and the crowd very friendly. Drinks were easy to get, no wait time. Chill relaxed environment. Big restrooms, pool tables available. Great spot for friends and a chill environment.
I used to be a regular here but been out of the scene for a few years. Honestly the place is dead. And the dj is clueless on how to mix songs. Ill be looking for somewhere else to go dancing from now on the
Gave it a try. Band was great. Dance floor was great! Service, nope! We were served once in an hour and a half. Asked what we thought was the manager twice and he just said I’ll get right on it and he just walked away and ignored our asking. I figured they would want the business. Guess they didn’t need our money.
Good place to dance and have fun with friends. Drinks are somewhat pricey, and not enough wait staff for club demands. Still a great place to dance and fun with friends and family.
Drinks were overpriced, over sweetened, the "DJ" didnt know how to mix, all around garbage. XLN would have been a better bar to go to.
Very over priced, dance floor is tiny, they wouldn’t take my friends moms credit card for payment to let us back in. Management is not nice or helpful at all. The dance floor was never packed because the DJ had no idea on how to play music. 100% chance I will never be going back there in my life I will stick time banita here in Nacogdoches.
My first experience . Its a small bar but we had a great time with friends and got to see one of my favorite singer, song writers Josh Ward😍😘
The place is huge with a lot to offer. The tacos at Coach (connected to Cowboysare incredible! Would like to return on a busy night. It was a special event on a Wednesday. Not enough crowd to be energetic but I can see this being great.
Place was really cool the drinks are small and skimmy and overpriced. Watsr is 1.50? I was feeling sick from the heat water should be free! Dj was awesone in my eyes. Friendly staff! Overall awesome
Drinks are pretty small and sodas were flatAlso I wish they would play more line dancing music.
Wow what a night. Definitely an entertaining evening out. All around a great experience I plan to never go back. 🤠
Fun with your special someone or a night out with friends! Two stepping, line dancing, and classes (some daysif you dont know how to do either of those. ;Haha. Great place to practice all your sweet skills!
Nice place! Frendly staff and clean appearance. Outside patio smoking with plenty of room and delicious tacos. Saw Jon Wolfe. Was a little disappointed in how late the show started and that there was no meet and greet. Im guessing thats more on him rather then Cowboys. However, would have been nice to know the showtime. Fb and staff all said, "idk."
I love the setup, the vibe it gives, the dance floor is nice, alcohol a little pricey but I expected that. Good place to go on a Thursday night.
Coachs has gone down hill, building wise. The new design would be fine if I could even get to the bar, its on a platform and not accessible in any way!If I have an able bodied person with me, the drinks are still good and the food is still good.Charging $5 to get into a sports bar and then not having any low tables that are normal sitting height except for next to the stage is not something that would invited me back. No one wants to eat and be blared out! The waitress was great, owner is still sweet as can be, but not as enjoyable anymore.
The facility was a higher class type. No dive bar feel. You could tell people were there to just dance, listen to music, and relax. The drinks were good, if only a little pricey. Over all a good experience.
It was a fun place for me and friends to hang out and dance. It was a pleasant experience and we have made it our girls night outing.
First time to cowboys. Regular at Electric Cowboy in Longview. Great sized dance floor and decent music ...except the DJ cant read the crowd. I was there for four hours and seven...seven... songs played with an empty dance floor. The songs played and no one liked the songs enough to dance. Thats unacceptable. If no ones dancing...move on! Second...who charges $1.50 for TAP WATER!? It was $1.50 for bottled AND for TAP. The pathetic manager,Jake, wouldnt own either of these complaints. "Its not his fault people dont want to party...and its state tax that requires they charge $1.50 for tap water." Jake the manger should receive some state paid training...the customers opinion should be considered. I dont recall getting charged ONCE for tap at a restaurant or bar in the state or Texas. That just sounds like pressure to buy bottled water!!! If customer service is what youre looking for, the Electric Cowboy in Longview is your bar. Not Cowboys in Tyler. Too bad... I Soo would have brought friends. I wont have them waste their $1.50 here.
Drinks are overpriced. $1.50 for tap water?!? What??? And the DJ SUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKSSSSSS! Plays music that nobody dances too! Why would you do that?! Do yourself and everyone else a favor... GET A NEW PLAYLIST DJ!!!!!
Have some great shows and awesome times to go dancing and have a good time. Try to go every chance I get! Only down part a bottle water is $2
Never know what to expect. Nice dance club if youre open to all kinds of music. Today, I witnessed people dancing the electric slide to footloose!
Went on a concert night recently. Trash and broken glass covering the floor by ten. Ten people stacked in line at the bar all night. Bartenders were either really slow or really rude. I dont imagine I will be going back on a concert night.
Worst bar I’ve ever been to in East Texas. The drinks are horrible and over priced, and the staff is rude and lie to their customers. Will never be back.
I don’t recommend going when you’re under 21. It’s $20 to get in every night other than Thursdays which is ladies-get-in-free before 9 night. For every ten slow songs there’s a good song that you can actually dance to. I don’t have the over 21 perspective, maybe it’s better.
Really depends on when you got and if you like over crowded. Some nights are nice and quite but concert nights are over crowed and crazy. Lots of minors!
Altho a name change, hasnt drawn us to thinking itll draw in the ppl. Looks nicer, roomier, but the service at the bar was impatiently slow that the ppl on either side of me had to yell at the girl to get her attn so I could get another beer or we could order another kitchen item. And the place was dead, for a CowPies (ok Cowboysgame, not a good sign for a Sunday NFL game at a bar.3rd time Ive been here in 2 years, and it takes a lot for me to get there again. One time, girlfriend and I walked out, again, on a Sunday NFL game day, just dead, and wanted some NFL crowd noise. Found another bar, and it was great.Dunno what the place can do, but the Sports Radio Advertising was all about the Sunday game day experience. Phewie, not so much...BUT, the $12.99 bucket o wings were DE-LISH!!
What a cool place!! Fresh food, very friendly and prompt service! If you miss this " little" hidden gem when you visit Tyler, its your own fault!
Great food with original items. Staff is always friendly. Awesome to place to go for a night out.
Not only over priced, but oddly priced. $4.10 for a Coors Light long neck are you kidding me?!?!?! Saturday night & you can stand on one side & see the whole place without having you view obstructed by to many people. Only time the dance for got crowded was when they played hip hop & then just about everyone there is on the dance floor which is not all that big.
Big, clean place. Nice people. Profetic Calaveras on stage. Definitely returning!
Fun place to go out with friends to dance and drink. They also usually have really good country bands play, the only downside is it can get really crowded.
Horrible place! My husband and I were told to never come back as long as we had on our leather vests. Apparently they are "biker" aperral. We had been in several times before and it was no problem. They cater to those not sitting at the bar! Even have a motorcycle in the bar but were not welcome! Our money is good but our leather is not! The bartenders are great. Management is NOT!
