Perfect trail to walk

There is a public bathroom here! Just on the side of the cafe, youll see a ramp going up the side of the building to a door. Also a good spot to come down for walking the boardwalk and if youre lucky youll get to see a plane or helicopter take off or land. They have a ramp for float planes, but thats an even rarer sight. Theres also a small marina, but I believe its not open to just rolling up, definitely enquire ahead and its probably full up.

Lovely air park, complete with coffee shop.

This park consists of a paved walkway along the Courtenay river and estuary. There is also a playground for young children. It is very popular with walkers and bird watchers / photographers. Part of the riverwalk goes around the Courtenay airparks runway. Washrooms and parking available.

Love this place, had my boat here for 5 years and love the Cafe the airplane noise and walking around the airpark

Nice area for a walk, next to the waterfront...

A nice little spot We bought our hamburgers at a and WAnd drove there a couple blocks awayAnd we shared our picnic table with another nice gentleman. Ill definitely be going back there again

It was great place for a picnic. They have a couple of tables and garbage cans.

Its a small but beautifull area to have a walk at. Its perfect to go for a walk in the evenings. The walk pathways can also be used for cycling. The river is just besides the walkway. There is a small airport over there and a place that rents out kayak. Nice place to rent out kayaks as its just by the river which opens upnto the ocean.

Nice boat launch, nice walkways, beautiful watching airplanes coming in. Good cafés and pubs places nearby.

Nice easy walk around the park. The information plaques of the flora is an added bonus. The little Cafe serves good food and a decent cup of coffee with friendly staff. Overall I enjoy my time there whenever I go.

Cool park that surrounds a small airport. You can watch the planes take off & land close up. Beautiful scenery & a good place to walk & take the family & pets.

A fantastic park for kids! So much fun. Great Waterpark, really fun play structure, and a nice selection of food trucks for when you need a snack.

Great place to walk, ride or roller blade. Walkway goes for kms through an estuary, air park, marina and even tp downtown. There is a playground in one area for the kids, a cafe at the airpark and acess to several businesses along the way. This is a paved, well maintained walkway.

Stopped over here eat our lunch... there are a couple of picnic tables, washroom and garbage cans.Good scenery but definitely a busy area

I love skating around the loop, such a beautiful spot. Its great for a walk with the family and the dogs and the kids live the playground. If you like watching planes, they literally fly over your head. Feels like you can reach up and touch them some days.

Peaceful, start of walking pathway.

A great place to enjoy serene, picturesque and pleasant walk when in Courtenay. It runs parallel to the river and have some amazing views. You can also view small aircrafts landing or taking off along the path.

Lovely walk along the water and can often see seals. It also connects to the airpark playground.

Beautiful and picturesque. It is a lovely place to stop on your walk around the airpark. You can watch the changes to the landscape and the wildlife as the tide goes in and out.

Its a lovely walk around with ocean views and great for walking your dog .Nice playground for the children also can watch planes taking off and landing.

Great place to walk around with chances of seeing eagles and seals. Kids would ride their bikes before the park.

The park is connected to the Riverway trail system.....so you can spend hours walking some amazing easy trails. Good for the disabled as it is mostly paved.The park has a great little restaurant....delicious breakfast. Picnic tables, tourist bureau and a kayak rental shop there ad well.....the kayaking on the river is something to experience.....the river is perfect for it.

Great way to go through town on foot, or a stroll away from the traffic but not too far put of town.

Its a good place to enjoy quiet time. I ran into bunnies here and there and enjoyed watching the small planes flying across to land.

Beautiful little park. I enjoyed the nature walk along the river. It was a nice pleasant walk.

Love walking with my dog there

This is a beautiful spot to walk around when the weather is nice. Lots of birds to watch with the family. Watching the airplanes fly in or take off is great as your so close. Parking is limited specially when theres alot of people using the park or when rowing teams are out.

Stroller friendly, water park is amazing and very accessible, even wheelchair accessible. Lovely view of the bay and the glacier.

Really clean and well laid out park. We watched some resident seals fight over salmon scraps which was pretty neat.

A great place for a peaceful walk and watch for the river otters between the marina and the mouth of the estuary. Be sure to go at sunset at some point as you look back from the point towards the mountains!

Nicely groomed trails through thick woods and clean blue/green river; beautiful! Saw a sign at the other side saying walking only but we saw others on bikes and no one seemed upset sharing the path

Awesome park by the water.The new amenities are great.There are lots of covered areas to stay dry in the rain.The new kids playground makes me upset that I am not a kid anymore.It looks like a lot of fun.

Clean well managed marina. Walking distance to shopping and dining. Popular with boating enthusiasts. Great place to harbour for fun spot. Close to beautiful sand beaches.

Great place to slow everything down for an hour!

Boardwalk, pavement, gravel, viewpoints, signs explaining local ecology,seating areas,this park is a great place to experience the Courtenay/ Comox estuary. You can walk, run, jog, bring the dog, roller blade, scooter, bike ride, skate board, even roller skate. The views and the wildlife are unbelievable.

I love this little walk around the Courtenay Airpark, of fun to watch the planes takeoff and land from so close!
