Pure Heaven! If Heaven had a golf course, this would be it!!
Needs to be a museum so the public can learn. We drove past every day as nurses and are curious to see the place. I was invited once as a child when you had to know people to get tickets. I’ve heard it’s become quite the outrage that the public has been allowed in the past few years. Nevertheless, solve the problem by creating a museum that all can see and learn what Augusta is about. That is the only real historical tourist spot in town and yet no one can visit.
They had no ball service!!! At August of all places I expect my balls to be cleaned upon request.Next time I will bring my own ball tender and they will also clean my shaft of my clubs.Im pretty sure most of the members are into prostate stimulus which is abysmal.
Beautiful course hope to one day play there
We attended in 2010, what an beautiful course, what history. We went on a practice day on tickets we got through the PGA lottery, very reasonable $50, as opposed to the scalper prices of hundreds. Much more controled then other PGA events Ive been to, everything is taped off, no early arrivals to walk the course unempeded for pic ops, still it was great. If you get a chance hang out at the 16th for the skip, skip, skiping across the pond and onto the green, pretty cool...
Anything less than 5 stars and you just hate golf. Every golfers bucket list this does not disappoint. Better than on TV if thats even possible, this is The Masters!
The course and experience overall is one that is hard to put into words.
The staff at Augusta National was fantastic. Everyone I encountered was extremely helpful and courteous. Im still amazed at the beauty of the course and grounds. And kudos to the people of Augusta National for keeping the food so good and reasonable.
Course is so wide off the tees that is becomes an iron and mostly a putting contest for Masters. They complain that pros now can hit it too far but if you narrow the fairways and/or add bunkers it would solve the problem.
We had a wonderful time at the Masters. It is such an iconic sporting event. I’ve been fortunate to go three times, and each visit has been incredible! It helps to go prepared in order to make the most of your experience.TIPS#1 Gluten-free options are limited to fruit, peanuts, bbq sandwich (w/GF bunand potato chips. We were thrilled that they added the bbq sandwich this year!#2 Get there early so you get your picture made without losing much time while players are on the course. Pictures are made in front of Founders Circle (near first tee).#3 Courtesy phones are helpful (and freeif you are trying to coordinate with others as you are not allowed to bring your phone on the grounds.
La crème de la crème. Went to the masters with my dad and brother. We only had tickets to Wednesday’s practice round but it was amazing and I will definitely go back whenever invited. We flew clear across the country for just the one day and it still didn’t disappoint. All the stars, the legends, par 3 course and of course the course itself.Pro tips: bring a nice camera for the practice rounds because you can’t take phones. Personally was disappointed in the pimento cheese sandwich but you can’t beat the prices.$1.50 🥪$2.00 🥤$5.00 🍺Make time for merch as I didn’t get a chance to buy any and bring an umbrella as the weather can turn nasty really quickly. What an amazing course. Will never look at it the same on TV now. So happy to knock it off the bucket list.
Lucky me, won lottery for Women’s Amateur National Championship. What an experience, fairways and greens were absolutely prime. The experience was the best organized event I have ever attended.
Always enjoy watching the Masters. However, I was trying to hold a conversation with someone, but I couldnt understand what they were saying because they were drowned out by the FAKE BIRD SOUNDS! How many cardinals are there?? The players would be swatting them away! Ridiculous. Fakes.
The Masters experience is something not many people get to experience in their lifetime. It’s a special tradition that I love experiencing with my family every year. The workers are so amazing and helpful. The reason why I am giving it a one star is because this year was a major let down. The men attending this event were AWFUL! So rude, shouting and yelling while the golfers were teeing off. It was horrible. This is a golf tournament not a football game. Either the masters needs to get it together and stop this inappropriate behavior from its guests or suffer a new title as a trash event that is no better than Daytona 500. I was applauded by the things these men said to me at the Tournament. Shouting and complaining WHILE THE PLAYERS WERE STANDING RIGHT THERE! And the worst part was security did NOTHING! That would have never happened 3 years ago. This is the Masters, have some class. There are grown men who were acting like 7th graders that got drunk. Unbelievable!
A place like no other!!
We walked the entire course and it was a great workout - hilly. The gift shop prices were much less than online, so shop shop shop!
Anyone that has the bucket list item is more than expected. Everything is perfect. Be ready for lines but they are amazing at crowd control. Everything runs smoothly. Great event.
Spent Friday at the Masters tournament. Every single staff member I came in contact with was pleasantly helpful. The course was in spectacular shape. The best Ive ever seen. I didnt have any issues getting into or out of the parking lot. Everything went extremely smoothly with no issues to note.
THE Top golf ⛳️ course in the USA! Amazing every time we visit!!
Five stars are not high enough... You hear about the amazing experience seeing this course for the first time in person... 100% true. What you dont always hear about is how amazing EVERY single worker is at Augusta. Wow. From entry at 7 a.m. to close at 6 p.m., every single employee seemed like they truly loved their job. Members of the club walked and talked with guests as if they were family. It was disney world for adults without long lines or stressful moments. It was a slice of heaven on earth. If Im ever lucky enough to go again, I would without any hesitation... the only difference is my 5 year old would be my plus one as she missed her daddy all weekend. As she cheered on golfers from the TV, Im confident shes ready for the real, in person experience.
The course was beyond beautiful. If you love golf, its a must see. Everythings green and not a piece of trash on the entire course.Be in good shape if youre going to walk the course. Also, its quite a hike from the parking area.
Unbelievable! Truly, unbelievable!!! No detail has been missed - everything is first class. Put the Masters on your bucket list!
Its everything they say and more. It is exceptionally hilly. Golf shoes will help, but they must be comfortable...Go early, shop early...
HEAVEN ON EARTH! I am lucky enough to go yearly. I can not get enough of the Augusta National. Beautiful and the way things are run is just amazing!
An overrated dump where you cant even wear shorts in a state where its hot and humid all the time. All the rich white GOP can have it.People in charge here are stuck in the 60s and out of touch with golf
My first time visiting the course. Words cant do it justice. Make sure read the entry rules before going to the gate.
Absolutely Phenomenal. Everything is as expected. Truly an amazing place that deserves every bit of praise it receives.
Finally was selected for the Masters lottery after a decade of trying and the wait was worth it. The course is beautiful, service is amazing, everyone of the volunteers and staff are very helpful and polite. It was a once in the lifetime experience I hope to be able to do again someday.
Only three things could make this a better experience. 1. Ban smoking. 2. Better, stronger & bigger shopping bags. 3. Play the Kenny Loggins music at the entrance and golf shop!!
First class in everything that they do. Had a great day. All the volunteers and workers very friendly and knowledgeable
The views you see on TV and also the photos (mine and others heredont do it justice. The course is unbelievable. I was not there to play (as is the case with most of the worldbut it was clear that the grounds are immaculate. Fairways are in perfect shape, traps look very challenging, greens are like glass. Going there is an experience that anyone who has even the slightest interest in golf should take advantage of whether you are playing or as a spectator.
Really? Need you ask? Excellent service, pleasant volunteers and awesome weather! The kids played their hearts out and were fantastic competitors. Yay, Drive Chip and Putt!
This is where they play the Masters golf tournament. We were on the road to Charleston SC and Augusta Georgia was right in our path so we decided to check out this world famous golf course. ⛳. I had no idea it was right in the middle of town for I thought it would be on the outlying area. But anyway the place was completely surrounded by a wooden fence and you could not get inside or see inside. I was only looking to get a picture 📸 of the clubhouse and then leave. I was disappointed. But it still gets a 5 star review from me because I think it is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world.
Its a tournament golf course steeped in history and tradition. If you can get in during the tournament, youll find it to be the classiest place youve ever been too. These whining one star reviews are mostly trolls and jealous folks that think its like going to the fair.
What a wonderful experience! This is a beautiful place to visit. A must "check" on your bucket list, if nothing else. Everyone should have a chance to visit here at least once! Youre treated with southern charm and traditional hospitality that is unforgettable!
Attended several Masters Tournaments, including the historic 1997 event. Describing the property requires other worldly adjectives that pro writers have tried for over 80 years. As trite as it sounds, "TV doesnt come close to the experince of being there"Seeing the hills, slopes, sugary white sand, bunkers seemingly cut by lasers, magnificent floral and fauna that spans wide spectrum (probably 1,000s of species of plants- with not a single one being a weedis awe-inspiring. The occasional Piliated Woodpecker, Northern Cardinal or Goldfinch song amongst the towering Loblolly pines, common. The views are teriffic, and though 21st century leading edge autonomy is on display, the design is old-school. The greens (books written about the greens, and, and you still have to see them to believe themare only 20-40 yards from the next tee areas. Some T-boxes (Teeing groundsare exceptions, as the membership seeks to lengthen the course to get the drive to land where the hole was designed to be the approach-shot position. (#11 or maybe #13 come to mind, yet they too are blended naturally.)Southern charm and hospitality rule, without pretention or elitism. No sight of price (legalgouging, food and souvenirs are less than you would see at virtually any tour event- which this is not. It stands alone, and in my opinion is what allows their ability to maintain the history and avoid the commercialism. One of the most beautiful places on Earth. Im blessed to have experienced the event and stroll the grounds. If you get the opportunity, do what you can to make that happen. You certainly will never forget it.
Im only 24, but had the privilege to attend the Masters twice. 1 Practice round, and second was Sunday a few years later. The strongly enforced code of conduct is incredible. Not ONE phone or camera, everyone enjoying the beautiful moment through their own eyes. Everyone is respectful and understands the significance of where they are. Food prices so cheep you can purchase 4 Drinks, 8 Sandwiches, a candy bar, and a cookie for $25. Its incredible. All in all, 10/10 experience both times and Ill never forget it. The whole operation is perfectly oiled machine. Trust me when I say that a 80 person line is only about a 3 minute wait. Its what every sporting event should strive to be.
A beautiful place. A sacred place. The 1 golf club. At the Masters have you ate at the banquet hall? My family works there every year!
Finally made it to Augusta National and it was a dream come true. The topography of the course was a real eye opener. Up and down hills throughout the course. I went for the Wednesday practice round and Par 3 contest. Put it on your bucket list and get in the ticket lottery. Good luck.
Everyone knows how beautiful this place is, but seeing it in person is a special experience. Its the best run sporting event Ive ever attended. Concessions, restrooms, merchandise shops are kept immaculate despite thousands of people going through them. Lines can get long but move faster than you think due to the efficiency of the setup and the staff/cashiers. The concessions are famously reasonable compared to any other sporting event in the world, and even the merchandise is priced similar to what you would pay for other sports merchandise. Parking was free and efficient.
Golf heaven. I cant say enough. Awesome.
Saw a practice round there in 2017.It was the best day of my life and I’m married with 2 kids.
What can I possibly say about the worlds best golf course. This place is magical and makes every golfer giddy with excitement as you walk on the hallowed grounds. Every year they make improvements to this place. Ive been fortunate to have seen six Masters tournaments and I get excited every time I get an opportunity to go. I love this golf course.
I’m not sure what I can add to what has already been stated. Go if you get the opportunity.
Augusta National is an experience like no other! A stunningly beautiful course with immaculate conditions that puts ever other course to shame. I was there for practice round Tuesday and was lucky to have had the opportunity to follow Phil, Tiger, Freddy and Thomas around the back 9. I also hung out at the range (seated in the front rowfor about 1.5 hours and got to see Tiger, Rosey, Phil, Rors, Willett, Ricky, Scotty, Duff, Berger, Grace... the list goes on and on! The sights, sounds, energy and swirling winds are magical here. Its everything youve heard and more!
Incredible experience during the Masters weekend! The club grounds were impeccable and lot more hilly than anticipated, so be ready for a good workout as you walk the course. During the Masters, the food and drinks were unbelievably cheap (and tasty)!
Incredibly well kept grass. Beautiful scenary. An absolute must play if you ever have the chance. Food was very reasonably priced. Beers were $4. The long line ups for the mens bathroom went extremely quickly and efficiently. They really know what they are doing here at the masters tournament. Dont pay for parking, you will find a spot in south or north parking lots for free.
Another year and another great experience at The National for the Master! Par 3 and practice round today. Course was beautiful as always and they order perfect weather! Customer service is outstanding and prices are not what you would expect on food or apparel. Drinks are $1.50-$3.00 for soda, tea or beer. Sandwiches and goodies stay under $3.00. dont forget the Peach ice cream sandwiches. (Peach ice cream between two sugar cookies for $2). You can spend a lot in the store but the prices are very reasonable. DONT BUY ANYTHING ONLINE!!! The Masters doesnt have an online store so youre getting overpriced old stuff or fakes. Id take show pictures but I didnt have a camera and NO PHONES ALLOWED, NO EXCEPTIONS! You can see the crowd gathering 30 minutes before the gates open. If you get the chance to go to The Masters, it is worth the trip to Augusta National Golf Club, or as we call it here in Augusta, The Nation!
We were there for the Masters this year. The place and the atmosphere is absolutely incredible. It looks even better in person than it does on TV
A must visit if you have the opportunity! Words and television cant describe this course. The hospitality is amazing and everything is designed with a specific purpose!
