Cotton Gin Creamery in Prattville

This place has the best hot chocolate I have ever had. It was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. The whole place was a vibe and a great place to chill, hang, or get some work done. Will definitely go back when I am in Prattville again.

We live in Montgomery and stopped by here today for the first time! It was decorated so cute and the atmosphere was super chill. My kids loved the ice cream and the coffee was good too! It was a little pricey but everything is these days.

Even though they have changed the name they still sale ice cream! I see so many people pass it by thinking its only a coffee shop maybe the owners will address the confusion because my kids absolutely LOVE this place!!! They are friendly fast and "Local" go out and support them I was considering asking them about payment with me in opening a 2nd store.

This place is an absolute gem in downtown Prattville. The recent renovations have turned a rather nondescript ice cream parlor into a destination shop where you can slip in for an ice cream treat for the kids or coffee and a pastry with a friend. The decor has been transformed into an antique eclectic with a sumptuous palette of rich color and lots of cozy sofas and inviting nooks for studying, chatting, or just relaxing. It reminds me a bit of a European coffeehouse or British pub. I’ve not sampled the ice cream, but I can attest to the coffee which is delicious. It is brewed at the correct temperature which gives the coffee a smooth finish and keeps it from tasting bitter (a lesson that could be learned at a nearby coffee drive-thru). I highly recommend this coffee/creamery. We are fortunate to have such a treasure in Prattville!

Great place. Tasty iced coffee. Pastries are freshed. Visited three times during our stay. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately, the Cotton Gin Creamery closed it doors during the Covid pandemic. This is now a coffee shop that serves ice cream and java.

I love this place the staff is friendly the atmosphere and decor is amazing and i got an herbal tea for relaxation and ive never felt so calm it is my new favorite place 😊

I hadnt been since before the renovation and was surprised to see they turned into a coffee shop. They now serve both coffee and ice cream and have plenty of options. I personally enjoyed the dark chocolate mocha. Definitely worth a visit.

Everything about this spot just works! Friendly, knowledgeable staff, a decor with one foot in the Bayou and the other in the history of Downtown Prattville, and delicious caffeinated concoctions, to boot! I had the Voodoo Latte, on the recommendation of the (I assumeHead Barista. Generally, Im apprehensive about Lavender, as it can be used with too heavy a hand and wind up overpowering everything else in a dish/beverage. But, The Voodoo was a perfect example of how to use Lavender correctly. Faintly floral notes lead into a beverage that never forgets the coffee is still the star of the show. Nicely done!

Great rolled ice cream. Staff was very nice . It takes longer than most ice cream places but the kids said it was great. In a cool spot downtown right on the riverfront.

We love Cotton Gin Creamery! My oldest wanted to try rolled ice cream, so we headed to Cotton Gin after our photo shoot downtown Prattville. I cant remember the exact name of what she got, but it had strawberries and cheesecake. It was so good! The hot chocolate ice crem and the blueberry cheesecake ice cream is great, too. The kids also love posing with the photo props they have there. This was our second visit, and we will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed the rolled ice cream from Cotton Gin Creamery, it is much creamier than other rolled ice cream places weve been to. The staff is friendly and they have a great selection of sweet treats.

This was our first time at Cotton Gin Creamery and it won’t be our last! The ice cream is very creamy and had great flavor. It was also a plus to watch them make it! Great service and Great product.

Scrumptious ice cream and very reasonably priced. I got the of the homemade flavours: Creole praline, peach, and blueberry cheesecake. Loved each, especially that peach! Very creamy which I am a fan of. Very sweet town too, with the creamery nearby a pretty water fountain feature and weir that are pretty to eat your treats by.

The ice cream was amazing but it was super super creamy. Maybe if they used a thinner cream it would be just perfect. But overall they have an amazing staff and some amazing choices.

If youre looking for a change in ice cream then this is the place for you! Ice cream is very delicious and creamy. Very decent amount of choices to choose from as well. The inside of the shop is sort of small and just a little hole in the wall but there are tables out behind the location that are overlooking the PRATTVILLE creek.Definitely a neat little place in a nice downtown to take a date to.10/10 would recommend this place.

Nice little place across the street from some great restaurants. Awesome area to explore and spend a few hours. Good ice cream on a hot day. Upstairs seating was unique and cool addition to the place.

Its an excellent ice cream establishment. Three of us were first time customers, and all of us commented on the quality of the ice cream. If anyone is on Main Street, its a must place to stop in and enjoy the product.

This is a nice little ice cream shop located on the bank of a stream running through downtown Prattville. The ice cream is very good and they will blend it with toppings you choose. There is a sitting area in the back overlooking the stream. It is a lovely experience.

It was really good. My kids and I went back twice this week their ice cream is good and their snowballs are even better. The service is great their very friendly and I would for sure go back

Place was clean and the employees were nice. Prices were reasonable as well. I only have two complaint. One being that once they handed us our ice cream they were no where to be found after that. Second complaint being the ice cream was made with thick heavy cream instead of regular cream. It made the ice cream hard to eat after so many bites. It left an extremely unpleasant film in your mouth.

What a wonderful addition to downtown Prattville. Ice cream "rolls" are made to order and right in front of you. Prices are reasonable and its a wonderful place to get your ice cream fix!

Cant give details of how the ice cream is because we didnt get any. Went at 830 on friday night and they were closed when the website and the sign on the door ssid it closed at 900. Very disappointed.

Nice place overall, the two guys who assisted us didnt talk much...just took the order, made the ice cream, and bought it to the table. The ice cream was very bland - one was vanilla and the other was cotton candy. Even with adding sprinkles, fruity pepples, chocolate, and gummy bears it still didnt have a taste. My kids didnt like it and they are habitual candy eaters!

My mom, my boyfriend, and I went to the Cotton Gin Creamry for the first time and as soon as we walk in we are greeted with a smile! A very nice young woman up front explained the menu perfectly to us. We got our ice cream in less than 5-7 minutes. We will definitely be back to this uplifting establishment.

Very friendly staff and owners and the place looks great on the inside. Our wait after we ordered was 20-25 minutes plus the ten extra minutes waiting in line to order! Once we got our order and I got to taste the ice cream it had no flavor to it! It was bland even with Reeses Cups chopped up in it! My son didnt like his cup! He ordered the Chocolate Swirl and for a kid who loves chocolate to say he didnt like it, must mean somethings wrong.

I WILL NOT BE BACK! VERY POOR QUALITY. THE CASHIER WAS VERY RUDE WHEN I HAD QUESTIONS ABOUT TOPPINGS. ME AND MY SISTER ONLY HAD 3 ROLLS. Not pleased... my sister and I got the same thing. Hers was not even frozen and only had 3 rolls and presentation was awful. Mine was still not completely frozen but had the right quantity. Also it took forever... probably won’t go back. :)
