Small waterfront hangout with a bench-lined boardwalk, birdwatching & a small beach.
Use it until it is lost. Manchester City Council has decided to allow 33 floor buildings to be build surrounding the park. So no sunshine anymore in future.
Lovely park, we take our puppy Max there every day. There’s a little area for the dogs to play off lead and all the other pet parents are lovely. Really nice park :)
I have been living in Manchester for 3 years. This is the place to visit every time I am in town. Just bring the coffee and pastries there(Inside and surround with a few nice bakery), sit down and chill. Very relaxing.
Quiet and plenty of benches, but not much diversity of flora and fauna either on land or the diverted canal/ponds. Small
Beautiful city park. Really nice place to visit and chill on a sunny day.
Best location in Manchester, nice to walk around the canal. Some grass for picnics, or just chill on a bench with a nice view. Coffee, pastries and wine available in the area.
Unfortunately closes at 8pm though!
Vibe place, beautiful buildings.
Nice area to relax and chill in the sun
Very nice route for brisk walking
Loved itAnd walking beside water tunnel
A nice little park to wander and relax. Just on the marina with some bars and cafes closeby.
such a pretty spot to enjoy the sun and just chill :)

Especially come in evenings nice place for couple friends and especially singles. We can see lots of birds like swans, pegion, ducks and the people they bring their pets.Pets friendly place.Lots of house boatsBut the pond water is very bad like black coloured.Have lots of space for sitting.Nearby barsHotelsAnd spas.Enjoy and day off with the placeIt’s not an big park but . In the small space every thing is very beautiful.✨✨✨⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Beautiful. A canal basin, park , bars and restaurants.
Its just by the Ancoats Marina and is very pretty with cool wildlife, but it does have a bit of an issue with scallies and other people up to no good going there. However, so far, its not too bad. I definitely think there needs to be better policing though.
Lovely little place to walk by or chill for a while on a pleasant day. Fortunate to live in the area. Some nice little coffee shops, wine bar, craft ale pub, and very close to Cutting Room Square - which is full of nice little restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops.
By Ancoats Marina - one of the best spots to chill and have a good time with friends. On sunny days tends to be a bit overcrowded though, but still enjoyable.
My fav place in the city to go sit. Its always busy during good weather (not a complaint, anyone who complains about inner city location being busy is a Karenwell maintained and always clean, tidy and peaceful.
The canals and new park and shops are cute when its sunny but I wouldnt pick it to hang out with friends
Very impressed with the transformation over the years great place to take a lunch break
New Islington is alway a great place for a walk, betterif you go before yhe other side is closed for the people who live in the boats.Take note: There is no need to feed the geese, but if you are going to it anyway, dont feed them with bread, use oat instead.
Great atmosphere with a couple of places to get food and drink
A lovely place to go to. Very relaxed and slow-paced. Highly recommended.
Lively place with lots of bars and restaurants with outdoor seating
Beautiful area for the family and a great place to stop and have lunch :)
Just a lovely little pocket right near the City Centre - Aldi is close by for picnic stuff, very easy to get to from the Metrolink - I adore it
Nice place to visit an have a picnic , sit and chill watch the world go by
Beautifully designed small family park... In Manchester town...
This place is a gem in Manchester. Its just few minutes far from city centre. A perfect place for meeting friends, dating, go around with your pet or with your kids.
Nice but small, wish it was open 24/7 as i do enjoy a night walk, wish there was more lights too.
When sun is shining its definitely the place to be.. really pleasant and gorgeous!
A hidden gem in the Ancoats, very lively, beautiful scenery, perfect relaxing or exercising spot, few cafes serve nice food.
We live taking the boys for a walk here. It is local to where we live and its such a nice place to take the kids to feed the ducks and get some fresh air.
Great park area to hang out and chill. In the summer and when the weather is great this is a great place to come and chill.
The beautiful secrets of Manchester...
This urban city parkland is a quite interesting space, providing a sense of room to move for inner city residents. The proximity to both a pleasant, historic canal, with its basins and boats, together with some birdlife and the nearby city centre make this a very appealing park.
Nice place to relax, especially on a sunny day. Only problem is there is currently lots of building work taking place which is noisy and not very pretty to look at.
A lot of building works going on at the moment, with new apartments going up. Beautiful canal here, sadly the geese, ducks and swans have left the area, hopefully theyll all come back. New eateries are here and the new Islington Free School. If you watched Cold Feet, part of it was filmed here!
A nice place to walk about, great views and plenty of wildlife. Great for kids too.
This park has a great bakery called pollen, worth a visit for fresh pastries, bread and good coffee. Theres also a brewery next door called cask now the weathers better, for a drink in the sun. Great spot for a run or just sitting outside and watching the world go by.
Love this little lake serine picnic benches seclusion in a city centre wow. Needs a cafe. Better seating n shelter. Little rowing or peddle boats would be great. Two swans are nice.
Fairly clean with enough seating areas a. D space. Will look better when the building work has been completed
Great place for a chilled out lay in the sun. Please move all your own litter to help maintain the area.
Nice Park to chill walk the dog. Also walk along the canal. You can walk for miles. Good if youre a walker
My mate enjoyed his new kayak in the sun at Ancoats.
Great park just of ancotes
Its actually called cotton field wharf a set of 3 multi rise buildings recently built and with over 300 1,2, and 3 bedroom flats available for rent it has a in house gym and a club room concierge and parking facilities.
Hidden gem just behind the Great Ancoats Street retail park. Canal basin with beach, nature reserve, waste transfer station. Concrete sunbeds!
Nice to walk by. Numerous concrete seats to relax on by the canal. Quiet considering isms proximity to the city centre.
