Cotham Gardens - Park in Bristol, United Kingdom
Amazing space for families. You can even watch the trains pull in ad out of Redland Station.
Ice relaxing place to sit and chill.
Great place for a family picnic and the kids. Quiet and peaceful.
One of our favourite parks in Bristol! Just up from Gloucester Road, easy to get to and lots to do for the kids. Never too busy on a weekend (no queue for swings), nice slide, sandpit, horse and cart and adventure section. Also - the best bit - opposite the Redland train station so you get a stampede of kids every time a train comes, all watching and waving
Pop up barrista at top of hill. Be sure to visit.
This place is a great roadside park. Has playground and ball court.
Well maintained park.
Lovely spot for a quiet read and rest out of the hurly burly of pre Easter shoppers and traffic before cycling home.
Victorian Park one of the best in the city of Bristol and its my wife and I favorite places specially in summer time but even in winter we love to walk on it ❤ 💙
Nice local park with a good little coffee van even offering loaves of bread for those busy locals.A fairly large kids play area and a perfectly nice promenade to walk down between the train station and wherever you live.
Not too much to do, but makes for great walks
Well managed gardens with scenic views and great selection of trees
Lovely unspoilt park with childrens play area. Mon to Fri a van there selling coffee and cake
Lovely park and gardens situated next to Redland train station. Park is enclosed and safe for little ones to explore without parents worrying about them escaping! Great selection of equipment and lots of squirrels to see. Some shaded areas too in case its too hot and a few picnic benches and seats to sit on.
Great little park with plenty of shade. My kids loved the sandpit when they were younger.
Very small park but charming with beautiful trees and many squirrels. Childrens playground.
Decent spot for an evening zoot. Nice to watch the trains passing by Redlands
My 2.9 year old said"mummy this playground is very boring, lets go home please". Apart from the 2 baby swings is nothing for small children. The only place my boy could have fun is the slide, but the ladder it was to big for him, its for bigger children. Is not much in it ,but am glad to see some things were added in the last 5 years ( when we visited the playground first time). Its a lot of space for extra activities.
Who doesnt like coffee and a newspaper on a warm day in a peaceful park?
Really beautiful, nice sandpit and play area in the sandpit. The massive tree in the middle of the park is good for older children to climb on because other than that there is nothing for them. For the younger children, there is another area of swings - four in total, two baby swings, two older ones - and it is quite pleasant. There is another piece of equipment which spins around fast, and three bars joined up for some strange reason - pull-ups maybe? Also there is another part. Typical playground stuff, its only just been done-over.Finally the wooden horse and carriage, its really the centerpiece of the park. It has never changed or been redone. It is amazing.
A good place to spend time with your kids while they are playing around
Nice little urban oasis with a kids playground and squirrels!
Nice playground with shady trees, well maintained play equipment and lots of green space. Also has a sand pit (popular with the kids but may or may not be a plus-point for parents). The kids also enjoy watching the trains pulling into Redland station.
Lovely relaxing environment
Reliable neighborhood park. A Cotham classic thats hardly changed since I was a kid. The horse and trap is older than me.
Cute play Park with grassy area for picnics and relaxing
Not really much of a gardens, with too much noise pollution from the adjacent roads. Nice enough though.
It is on my exercise route, while I am in lockdown. Nice Park with fair number of bench seats, so it is very easy to have a seat and keep your social distance. Dont want you all rushing there, I like it as it is lol
Lovely little park, loads of shade and a really quiet and chilled atmosphere. Highly reccommend.
Amazing feeling .....when you watching few families are around, when greenery flowering is at their peak, when you listening birds are singing, when you get inspired by boys and girls doing their regular exercise, when you crossing the bridge, when people presenting a smile at a first look.how it is? Did i miss something there?
A quiet place to have a rest the peace broken only by childrens happy sounds at the nearby school.
Our family loves this park. It has space to run and to other activities plus the playground area. Nice
A great green area in the city of Bristol.Has a great play area for for children of all ages, which includes a sandpit with a slide, swings for toddlers and older children and a separate area with wood shavings that is full of more adventurous activities.Gotham gardens is also great for picnics and relaxing in the sun in the summer due to a nice sized grass area with trees for shade and plenty of space for children to run around and some great little places for hide and seek.Kingsdown train station is situated right next to the park and you often see trains stopping and passing through, which can also be fun for the children, the only downside with this park is there are no public toilets.
Great place for having a picnic. Kept very clean by the council. Great playground for the grandchildren.
Very nice and super spacious, nice equipment. If your child loves trains, its great! The train station is just behind it, so children love to watch the train come and go!
Love the garden near my sons home. A nice place to take your grandchildren for running and playing. Would have been nice on such a hot day for an ice cream van to be by the gate.
Lovely park, mostly you can see this kind of parks only on pictures from the web.Lot of cute squirrels, the park is nice and clean and there is a big playground for the children.
For the little ones, this park is quite nice.Because its next to the Severn beach branch rail line you get trains coming and going approximately every half hour which seems to send my son into a frenzy of "look at the train!"Swings, climbing frames, slides, sandpit theres bound to be something for your little and maybe not so little one. Theres adequate seating for the parents, and even a sundial so you can tell the time (just stand on the correct stone block and look at your own shadow, just dont ask me to pronounce or spell the correct term for this!)EditI recently got a drone to play with, and there is what would be a nice spot to fly it..... but the council had declared that only 3 parks in the Bristol area are large/safe enough to fly them, and of course this one isnt one of them ☹️.Btw, if you are interested, you are allowed to fly drones at Blaise, Dundrige and Hengrove.
Nice little green space next to Redland train station. Good kids play area with sandpit, slide, roundabout etc. The parks used to workouts too and fenced off from dogs. Dogs can play in the other half of the park. Always has done family’s / kids playing and never too crowded
Nice local park with good range of swings etc . Playground mostly geared to primary agreed children.
Lovely place! Its not very busy. Perfect for children of any age. I appreciate the wood equipments and the fact that the gated area its fairly big including green area, so that children can run around safely. I also see very often people who come to train. Overall a great park!
Lovely park for small children. Safe with a fence around it
Well equipped little play area..lots of grass n plenty of benches
Great play area for the kids and for a short dog walk I guess. Its well looked after as are many places in Cotham. Not really enough room to play any games, but if you want to chill out in the sun with some friends (or alone), its perfect.
Nice and simple park for all the ages. Peaceful in a nice neighborhood of Cotham. Safe for the children and as green as it needs to be :)
Nice little garden right by Redland Train Station and nearby bus stop.Pros:Easy access from most adjacent streets.Fairly quiet.Cute little bridge over railway.Gated park area (with slides and swingsfor children.Cons:On a slope, so might not be accessible for some people.
Nice peaceful playground for kids and a good place for picnic parties.
Its a lovely park for tots and children and where adults can have a picnic
A well looked after park. Lots of benches which make it lovely for lunch in the summer. Great for families but no dogs allowed inside the fenced in area.
Also known as Lovers Walk, this is a great spot for a summer barbecue, a picnic, a few beers or a session on the kids playpark!
