Modern, all-day French brasserie chain, serving regional specialities and traditional classics.
Went there with a group of colleagues and we had a lovely time! The restaurant is quite specious and has a nice outdoor area. Staff was very friendly and the service was fast. I ordered the calamari, chicken with fries and the chocolate caramel tart with a nice glass of rose. Everything was very well prepared and delicious.
The food was stunning! I have visited the Cote restaurant several times in Chichester but not since the pandemic. On a trip to Windsor I took my mum to Cote and we both had the most amazing meal and service from Katerine.
Really good night out here at the cote. Great service, even better food. Take their recommendation for the food as I had a steak just like they recommended and it was brilliant. Paulina was a great server.
Best meal Ive had for a long time. We often find UK food bland, but not here! Also, the service was excellent. There was a Spanish Gentleman who was particularly friendly and helpful without being obsequious. The restaurant is particularly amazing when you realise they have an excellent spot next to the river with views of the bridge and castle. One would expect tourist prices with tourist food and tourist services. Not here! We had steak tartar, the cumi, muscles and bass. All excellent. They have a phone and/or internet booking system. Id not suggest the phone as 1I didnt get a confirmation SMS as the recorded message said I would, eventhough I later discovered the booking had been made and 2There wasnt, as far as I could tell, an option there for a special request, such as a window table, which we wanted. On the Google Maps link one can type a request...and it worked 👍😁🙏
Very beautiful location next to river. Staff on the entrance was not helpful at all. We had to wait for about 20 mins to change the table, which was more comfortable to stay with kid, we asked 2 people on the entrance to see availability, but in the end the waitor told us that it was booked after we asked him, these 2 did not even bored to come to us and tell about it... Waitors were very nice, friendly but not attentive. We asked to bring food for my daughter first and dont give us bread before her food arrives.... But in the end they brought bread first, starters for us next and when we asked again, they brought her food and in 5 mins they brought her dessert... She didnt even eat half of it.... Food was good. I have ordered beef tartar and pork for main and I really like it. In general the experience was OK.
Absolutely excellent. Food was delicious, service impeccable, location magnificent. It exceeded my expectations in every area.
Best restaurant for the view 👌 located on the river, it has big windows to enjoy the views. Especially great if the weather is sunny. Service is good, staff are friendly and attentive. Food is nice however the selection of drinks such as beer could be better.
Stumbled across on a day trip. Called in for brunch. Service very good as was the food. We liked it so much we came back for lunch before returning home.
Excellent service, location and menu options. We had salads outside on the terrace in the October sunshine and it felt like we were in Provence... highly recommended
Excellent experience overall all bar being given a tablet to plough through as my wife has numerous allergies. The staff excellent food top quality and we found options my wife could eat. We have been before and will go again excellent value for the money
All of the staff were wonderful, the location beautiful, and the environment warm and inviting. We had the pleasure of being served by Juan and he was exceptional. He went out of his way to care for us. I would also like to thank you for taking such good care of us defective allergy people. I have Celiac disease and I’m always very nervous when eating out. I didn’t not suffer any trepidation on my visit. You all made me feel so safe and cared for. Thank you all.
Food delicious. Wonderful view on a sunny afternoon overlooking the Thames. We arrived early for our table staff very accommodating by letting us be seated early . Would definitely recommend restaurant .
Such a lovely setting but was disappointed with our first try of brunch today at Cote Windsor. Booked due to good reviews. Just wasn’t as good as it could have been. Eggs Benedict has cold hollandaise, the ham wasn’t very good quality, the muffin wasn’t fresh. Over cooked scrambled eggs on cooked breakfast, fatty bacon. It had the potential to be so much better and sadly disappointed. We won’t be going back for brunch.
Our waiter Pablo was amazing!!!, as soon as he came to the table my husband, which is a very thought cookie about costumer service, told me to make sure I call Pablo and only Pablo to serve the table. Pablo perfectly followed every step of the service including the way how he opened and handled the bottle of wine, my wine and steak lover husband said was the first time he had nothing to say to make the experience better. Thank you so much Pablo and please say thank you to the chef because is the first time as well that my husband doesn’t send the stake back to the kitchen💝.
A great location in Eton overlooking the River Thames. The set lunch is great value and recommended.
Very nice spot by the Thames. You can sit indoors or outdoors! Food is very nice and reasonably priced. The service is always very good and very pleasant.
In the past, have had great experiences at other branches of Cote so severely disappointed by our brunch this morning. We booked for a table at 11 arrived and were seated fairly promptly in a great location (good view of the river and castle).Food and drinks were ordered with a couple of changes to dishes but nothing too complicated. French toast American as it comes, English breakfast with a side of black pudding and veggie breakfast with no avocado and a side of the vegan bacon. After waiting for 45 minutes with no sign of food, we were told apparently there was a 45 minute wait for food and we should have been told on arrival but we werent given any indication of that. After 55 minutes, our food came but every single dish was wrong. Full English came with no black pudding, veggie breakfast was given vegan and French toast was given the ordinary french toast not American with bacon. We reminded them what the order was, the guest who was missing the black pudding just ate it without. We were offered more drinks on the house as a thank you for patience. We ordered a cappuccino and pot of tea. Drinks arrived and then a second cappuccino was brought over which we did not order.10 minutes later the rest of the food arrived. Veggie breakfast still missing the vegan bacon so had to wait for that as a side. By this time we had been there for 90 minutes. After our food we asked for the bill, it took 10-15 minutes to arrive and we had to ask 2 or 3 times. When it came we were charged for the black pudding and the second cappuccino which was sent away. The table opposite was given their breakfasts on the house just for the long wait but for some reason we had to pay as a 3 when they had got our orders wrong on top? They also added the service charge on which it was definitely not worthy of.Gents toilets had no loo roll just to top it all off.Nearly 2 hours and disappointment all round unfortunately. A shame as we are less than 10 minutes drive and couldve made it a regular stop and as above have only had positive experiences at other branches of Cote.Dont normally leave reviews and dont like leaving negative ones either as I understand hospitality can be difficult and everyone has bad days but this visit was especially disappointing.
First time visiting this place this morning and absolutely loved it. Really friendly staff, great service, and the food was DELICIOUS. Reasonably priced too. Will definitely be back.
At Côte you get the best breakfasts in the whole Eton area! The interior is very pleasant, the waiters quite friendly and eating in the morning in the silence with a river view is priceless.
😄 It is very nice location and I enjoy a lot ~ service is so great there , the lady help me to move other nice table !Food is so delicious! Coffee is not the tasty to me but very beautiful design ~ 😄I really recommend to visit here 😘
Great restaurant in a beautiful location. I went on a Saturday afternoon when it was very busy and with this considered, the customer service was very good to the point that when they brought the dishes to the table, one of them was wrong and so we had to wait for the right one to be brought and they deducted this from the bill without being asked. For me, this is great customer service and everything we had, was delicious. I would certainly go back there again!
A beautiful restaurant overlooking the river, I was super excited about visiting this restaurant on such a beautiful sunny day. We were a group of 6 and unfortunately they couldnt accommodate such a large party outside directly overlooking the river. I had travelled a 60 mile round trip to visit Windsor so a fair trekWe ordered fairly quickly, a party of 6 , 4 people received their breakfasts however 2 of us didnt. I waited a few minutes and then went to ask where ours was, unfortunately they forgot the order and eventually it arrived after our friends had eaten. Not ideal. They then provided the vegan option, where as we had ordered the vegetarian one with eggs. The bought the poached eggs out to us after but they tasted of vinegar.Whilst the setting was nice the missing meal let down our experience. They did provide the two meals on the house which was appreciated. Not sure I would go again which is a shame. The staff were friendly.
fantastic view by the river… good food and good value! crème brûlée is a must try to finish your meal… 😋 lovely and attentive staff…
Very nice restaurant with very friendly staff, well situated on the river thames with water side terrace with loads of shade.
What a wonderful place! We booked a table in advance through Google, had the opportunity to sit outside. The staff was very friendly, service was quick and done the right way! We tried some of the cocktails: Fleur Spritz 5 out of 5! The food was amazing as well, the salmon especially! We were full at the end and couldn’t try desserts but there will be a next time! I suggest you prebook so you don’t have to wait! Also the place was clean and tidy! The atmosphere with the river right next to you - romantic and cosy!
Had a wonderful dinner here on Saturday night. The manager was super attentive and made us feel really welcome, along with the waiting team. Thank you for the lovely evening overlooking the river!
Sunday, 31st July, 7 pm: Nice view, average crab salad, good wine. Poor service and mostly screwed up food. The inside smells of old frying oil. Waitress has mixed up crab and lobster, placed the cutlery wrong and served the food and the drinks from the wrong side or to the wrong person. Fish soup tasted rancidly, duck was dry, tough and stringy, lobster was overcooked, table plates were sticky and disgusting. 40 pounds per person for two dishes each is way too much, if the above is considered.
Very nice location, but it would have been better if we had not had the only table with obscured view. Ive dropped a star for being given a window table which had only windows if you twisted and strained. Food wine and service were good as we have come to expect from this chain.
Great location, used to be the location for the best restaurant in Windsor but now Cote. Overlooks the Thames and the environment is great to eat in. Quality of Cote is above many other high street brasseries with high quality ingredients and a range of options for different diets. Veggie breakfast is very nice with what look to be home made sausages. Service always pleasant
We tried the boats and had fun with the kids. Payed £44 for 3 adults + 3 children for 40 min in a hot weekend. There is a tourist guide that is telling us each thing we pass next to it
Usually a great experience, slightly spoiled this time by a clumsy waitress who didnt know the menu and couldnt seem to understand what we were asking - tried to open a screw-top wine bottle with a corkscrew too.The Steak Frites is usually excellent, but this time the steak was over-cooked, under-seasoned and chewy.Starters were delicious!
Wonderful place, nice view, makes you feel youre somwhere else in peaceful place and surrounded with happiness. I enjoyed the food delicious and appealing. Thank you
Amazing place! Good atmosphere, amazing food and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is just perfect the view is so amazing and romantic!
Absolutely fantastic service! The food was amazing as well, paying £16 pounds for a meal from a place like this in an absolute steal (its also really filling). The manager was also incredibly nice and gave us something on the house after my friend works who works there came to say hello, Im super glad he works with such nice people and I can confidently say Ill be coming back here whenever Im around. Thank you guys 😁
Distinctly average. Its such a fantastic location and you should come away feeling fantastic. Unfortunately both of our main dishes were dry and overcooked. I had mussels and although there were lots of them and lots of broth, theyd been sat under a heat lamp for so long that the majority not in the sauce had dried out. It was the same with my dining partners chicken. It wasnt a particularly busy day so the servers werent unduly stretched and there should not have been a backlog in the kitchen. Pretty unforgivable really.
Such beautiful weather today I finally decided to stop in to try the food and enjoy the lovely view from the balcony. Ended up with the set menu. Great service and such Delicious Food! For the portion size and overall atmosphere of the restaurant, its very reasonably priced, and I Will for sure be returning 🖤
A wonderful setting by the river. We had a table right next to the water. Lovely place to sit and chill for a couple of hours.
Stopped in for lunch and were seated quickly which was great. The food was pretty good all around, I personally enjoyed the vegetarian French onion soup which was super flavorful and a big portion, and my tuna nicoise was also great. One star is off because of the service. While nice and answered our questions, our waitress did not check on us very much and we had walked in at 11:30 and were almost late for our 2:00 Windsor castle tickets because even though we asked four times to pay our server did not come over and just kept saying that we already asked and to wait. Overall the food was good, service could improve.
If you want something to eat that is not microwave cooked. Definitely come and visit this place in Windsor. Been here 3 times already and every time food and service are on Michelin star restaurant level.Certainly will come back.Lemon sole meunière was absolutely amazing.Update:Usually when i do like restaurant, i came back until they F...up.. and usually they do at some point. So this time was that time.We came back to this place in a few weeks time . Menu slightly changed. But we choose something from old menu, i think. When we came, waiting time was insignificant. And yes , Ive booked table in advance.I never been in "basement" - i never thought it was existing. That basement was quite cosy with open double doors river view.It was quite warm when we came , but our table was booked at 20:15 and it become quite quickly from nicely worm cosy. To cold, lots of flies coming from outside river.About the food. Starter was from old menu , calamari. But for some reason they just dumped sauce on top without asking us- previously they were bringing it with separate little sauce plate...I like previously.Usually i do not order American dishes in French restaurant or visa versa. But this time we thought if they cook so amazingly french dishes, they must be making all menu like that.Yes.... I was right in not ordering steak in French restaurant.... We got that 22oz steak with 2 sides and 2 chips (came with french fries not chips, yes tgere is a differencethats meant to be food for 2 . And it was. indeed for 2. Enough food for 2.Only...One thing...One main thing -......Why do you ask how do you want your steak 🥩 if you do not care - just cooking as you want.We wanted it as medium rare. But got it RARE. I dont know if it was waiters mistake or chefs. Doesnt matter.... We got what we got.I took 1 star off from this review for the reason of that steak was cooked incorrectly. For £58 that could be done better.I will give this restaurant one more chance, to improve and if they fail , i will find another restaurant. "Plenty fish outside".IMHO - dont order steak in French restaurant
We have been coming to cote for many years now and we always have such a wonderful time. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is wonderful and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. This is our go to place especially for special occasions and visitors
October 2021: Still great service and lovely cooked breakfast for Sunday morning brunch.Summer 2019:Location, location if you get a window seat over looking the Thames and some Castle or other...!!Was breakfast on this occasion, but also done group evening meals with usual good service.
On the whole food at the Cote was delicious. I really enjoyed the Cote Burger and my Tarte Au Citron. I was however a bit disappointed by the olives as they were not up to standard with the rest of the food. The staff were polite and provided good service.
We went there for brunch. The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. The staff really nice and helpful. They catered for allergens very well for our party. We loved the very fast service ! On the upper floor you can get view of the river and the Windsor Castle! The only possible improvements i can think of is the table where we were felt sticky. I guess we could blame "Covid disinfectants" ?The acoustics made it difficult for us to hear each other. It could be because it was a busy day.
Lovely cafe with a very nice seating area especially outdoors as its by the riverBrunch options are great. The scrambled eggs were divine!Coffee was greatStaff are very friendlyToilets are clean
Amazing dinner at an amazing location. We were sat right next to the window overlooking the river. Staff were very friendly and service was incredibly fast. can’t recommend enough if you’re in Windsor, we finished with a great walk along the river. There were several things that had run out from the menu when we went on a Saturday evening, including beouf bourguignon and burgers. But the food we had was amazing
I cant believe I didnt give this gorgeous, elegant and really ralexed restaurant a review earlier. Really Beautiful location.Service, food and wine was really nice.Hoping to revisit soon
I visited Windsor for a day tour and saw this restaurant by the river. I wanted to go for lunch but then saw loads of people dressed up very formal whilst I was wearing shorts and trainers. I really wanted to try this restaurant so I put up all my courage and asked if I can come in and eat. (Sweating and with a back packIm glad they let me in and I sat by the river outside and view was lovely. I was happy with the food I ordered specially the dessert the waiter recommended.Ambience is perfect for me. The waiter who served me made sure I get all I need and was helpful. I would come back again in the future.
A lovely spot to soak up some rays and site next to the river. Good service (if a little slow sometimes), but the food slightly disappointed. The crab on sourdough was nice enough, but the steak frites was very disappointing. The meat lacked seasoning, the garlic butter lacked a punch, and the steak itself was gristly and tough to eat.
I had a midweek lunch in 2020 when the covid19 restrictions relaxed. The service was perfect with all protective procedures in place. The sea bass was perfectly cooked. The seasoning was great and the recommended white wine matched well. Easy access from the bridge and beautiful view of the Thames with windows facing south, which was very special as the day was sunny.
Very pleasant service. What could have been better is more reasonably priced beer. But hey cant have everything. The wine choice was good with decent prices. The mussels are a definite recommendation if you like seafood. Great views of the river. Good location, good food and good service deserves a 5 star review.
