6 Riverside Walk, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1QN, Beyla
Modern, all-day French brasserie chain, serving regional specialities and traditional classics.
Friendly staffs, great food and near the River Thames. Highly recommend.
We were staying several nights at Kingston upon the Thames and walked along the riverfront one evening looking for someone to have dinner and decided to give Cote a try.It was early dinner, and not too busy. We choose an outside patio table as the weather was decent and had a nice view of the river and people walking by.Our server was fairly new, but did his best to take care of us, sometimes asking for help from others when he was not sure. Overall the service was quite good.We had french onion soup and capers for appetizer. Both tasty and served promptly. For mains we had the Chicken and Salmon, both quite delicious. For dessert the creme brulee and berries with ice cream.Towards the end it was getting quite busy, so Im glad we went early. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing meal and good value. Definitely recommend it.
Love location of this Cote. Staff & food always good. A little disappointing last night tho as slow service and very small portion of french onion soup .. literally half a small bowl. Pea tart and pork belly good.
Cote Brasserie never disappoints. Great meat, outstanding service and in this case amazing location as the restaurant is just next to the river. Highly recommend it!
We had a lovely meal here, food was delicious and service was very good and attentive. Thank you
Caught it early and empty. I worked from core for two hours they were very polite , prompt food service (that’s first customers privilege right thereand it was great. Eggs well poached , black pudding well blackened. Thanks guys.
Perfect costumer service. The people there were wonderful. The food was delicious. The only downside is people who have gluten allergies may not have a lot of options. Manger was quick and food was served quickly. Would rate it 5/5.
So blessed that I found this restaurant near the river. It was a sunny day and good vibe at Cote. The staff were super nice and polite, food were ok. Definitely recommend to anyone who visits Kingston and wants to have a chill and relaxed day.
I had a waiter with a face like thunder that left the table a mess, totally un-made and couldnt be bothered to give me the drinks menu - despite demanding what drink I want. I walked out after being left staring at the disgusting table for 15 minutes. The management are not in control of the service here - and thats what you go to a restaurant for. If you want to feel bad go here.
Slow service with lack of attention towards our table, customers come in after us received their food way before us. We had to continually flag the waiters down as opposed to them approaching us. Worst cote I have been to by a long way.
very classy and comfortable restaurant with good food both quality and quantity and good drink options too
A very warm atmosphere.great food and wonderful service. Stunning view of the river, if you sit outside or by the window inside. You usually need to do a reservation at least a day before as it’s a busy and popular restaurant
I have attended this place numerous times with my family and separately too. I usually go there after my work, as I work at a local clinic nearby. There is gentleman right at the front desk that almost refused me to come in. The weather was very warm and I was so thirsty and wanted to come in to have few cold drinks to cool down and then order some dinner. Unfortunately this young lad was slightly rude and I hope not, but it seems that he judge me by my appearance and nationality. This did put at a discomfort position. I have seen this behaviour from him on numerous times. I thought this had to be shared.I would like to state that although the food is nice, but the hospitality and the customer service at the front door is absolutely terrible.
Food was ok, but staff were really rude, not a great experience. There are better places each side.
A slice of France in Kingston. Perfect location to spend a lovely summers day! Service and food always great and lovely to see Riyan again!
The food was ok, although the choices on the menu arent very exciting and the portion sizes were on the small side (except the fish stew). The burger was tasty however the beef was quite dry.It was very difficult to get any service sitting outside opposite the Bishop. We had to get up and find a member of staff. All of the surrounding tables experienced the same issue
The dessert was the best part. The dessert was fondant with vanilla ice cream .It is the best restaurant I’ve been to so far.Very polite and friendly staff. The food arrived quickly. Recommend for family. Excellent!👏
We had a lovely breakfast this morning at Cote Kingston. As always staff are very friendly, helpful, professional, they ensure you a excellent dining experience. Chef Lukasz made us a breakfast with Poached Eggs and vegetarian breakfast, also French Toast which was superb, testy. They always help you with your small requests and specific food likes etc. From front of house Paulina and Monica was very attentive and professional, they smile and remember you each time you visit the restaurant. We also like to thank rest of the team members which we couldn’t write their names here. We are regular diners at Cote Kingston and we highly recommend this restaurant for food lovers. New summer menu looks great too. Thank You…
Very friendly, lovely restaurant. Great coffee. Lovely breakfast. Amazing views on the river.
Glad we booked as they were queuing up to get in. Very busy at times. Great atmosphere and a good choice of food on the menu. Portion sizes are good and there are meat free options available. Drinks list has many options and reasonable priced wines. Good service kept up to date with what was going on. Must try the crepes with espresso martini cream.
Excellent tasty and authentic French cuisine. Very good value childrens menu - 3 courses for £9. Nice friendly staff. Best of all, they have a comprehensive gluten free menu offering plenty of choice. Will definitely return.
Love coming to Cote… sadly this time around the service was extremely disappointing to say the very least…Food was ok but not as good as the previous menus. They said they are understaffed but there are barely any tables to serve & waiters are standing around…Sorry to say… disappointing experience :(
One of the many chains along the Kingston riverside. Great location and we had a nice outside table. Food and drink was ok - had to send a drink back for not being fizzy and my steak was fairly bland but my friend liked her meal. They cater well for gluten free.
Sorry guys, but I found todays lunch visit more than disappointing.I dont normally bother with reviews; good or bad, but apart from the fabulous maitre d, and our waitress, Im sorry to say, I found the experience way below par!I had the set menu, with sea bass. Are potatoes now so pricey, you give 6 tiny cubes? The peas were horrid - dry and hard. This comment was ignored by the Manager (bloke with glasseswho also forgot my request for a large dry white wine!Ice cream served half- melted. This was a special lunch for 2 friends who hadnt seen each other for over a year. I didnt say anything at the time, as I didnt want to embarrass him.4/10 Cote Very disappointing.
We ordered chicken pate, monkfish and fillet noir. The starter was served quite fast but then we waited about one hour for mains, only to see that my fillet was the wrong dish. The server seemd surprised for some reason, even though she clearly double checked this with me when I ordered. The chicken pate was tasty, fish was quite bland and underseasoned, the fillet was cooked decently but as a dish not that balanced because of sauce, which was overkill. We were not offered water for the table or anything else, other than the remake of the wrong dish which extend the already long wait time. Surprised that they even charged service considering everything, whilst most of the places in this situation might have the intention to make it right for you.
I didnt get to experience the food or drink at this branch of Cote so this review is based on greeting and hospitality nothing else. I had walked in and asked to book a table in 15-20 minuted. The manager was very nice about this and took my reservation details, ofcourse being on the riverside the restaurant was bustling and I was told that they wouldnt be able to reserve a particular table so that was fine, returned 5 minutes earlier than reservation at this point there was a queue, I walked into the restaurant and saw that there were tables available (the reservation was for one, me). There were groups in the queue so I assumed that they were waiting for larger tables, anyway I was quickly asked to go back outside in the queue by a possible manager, a female member of staff. I explained that I had spoken to the manager and he had taken reservation details and this member of staff in a dismissive and hurried nature asked me to go back and join the queue, I told her not to worry as there was a restaurant next door that were welcoming customers (turned out to be a fantastic choice, Chakra, delicious food, fantastic customer service and not overcrowded still with lovely views over the Thamesas I walked out she followed me and told me she was sorry I was offended, well I wasnt offended up until she assumed I was! And so if she had probably apologised with a different tone, in a professional manner then I probably would not have had to write this review. So Cote in Kingston please focus on training staff on customer service, thank you (Id raise the number of stars for the first manager and waiter who greeted me originally)
I’d like to start off by saying all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our amazing waitress Radina showed us to our table and gave us time to pick our food from the menu. I ordered a starter but I wasn’t keen on the dressing. Radina noticed from afar and notified one of the managers. The amazing manager came out and changed my starter (didn’t catch the managers name), but I was grateful because I was going to leave the starter on the side without complaining. The second starter (calamariwas perfect and I enjoyed my main (steak and chips& my friend enjoyed his meal (burger and chips). I would recommend Cote not just because of the food, but because of the accommodating atmosphere and amazing staff. They pay attention to detail and ensure your experience is memorable.Thank you to Radina and the lovely manager!
I always leave positive reviews but my burger was very dry also my girl’s chicken burger was sent out without taking our request into consideration we ended up wasting extra 30 min for our orders… the manager seems to be having a tough day I know his job isn’t easy but it’s always good to be friendly with customers; the blonde English lady who works here was very friendly, god bless
This is by far one of the best places to eat hands down. The food was so delicious, their service was prompt. In fact the whole experience from the atmosphere, staff cleanliness decour was what we all expect . If you havent tried Cote Kingston please go you wont be disappointed. There is so much to choose from and all very delicious however word of warning that food will turn into a Coteholic as has happened to many, you have been warned!. Cote Kingston you get 5 Stars from me and my partner who insisted we find it and try, she was spot on.
Me and my friend came on a lovely Friday afternoon, got served by a lovely waiter called Ray, he was very accommodating, bubbly and took care of us! Just want to say thank you to him as he made our experience 100 times better
Nice French restaurant on the riverside in Kingston. The food was good.
On the river walk in Kingston... great breakfast place, french toast is a must, and several egg dish choices.Good prices and very good service. Enjoy the river views, walk across the bridge into Hampton Court, or across the street to the shopping mall, perfect location to enjoy a bit of Kingston.
Went here on a Christmas Eve for lunch with friends. Service is good. Food is delicious. Especially the prawns starter we ordered was really really delicious. They do have good amount of vegetarian options as well. Portions are sufficient. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Quite disappointed with this branch, the sauce that was suppose to come with the steak didn’t come and I didn’t realise until I almost finished it, so it did eventually came after I asked for it but it was one of the worst sauce I had…. Both started and main (steakwas decent but the dessert was again one for the worst desserts I had, there was no balance, just sickly sweet meringue with over whipped creams.
Not a happy customer sorry guys to leave this review. The starter Calamari was very oilyThe 1/2 chicken came out as two small legs and wasn’t cooked through enough. The fish stew was very watery no flavour i had to add a lot of salt and pepper.Small portions!Sparkling wine and beer was very niceThe bill was over £60 we got £20 backI would recommend to the chef to take note of this.I wouldn’t actually return here unfortunatelyStaff members were professional.
I went for a brunch with my friend and the food was delicious. The staff was supee kind and friendly and they asked if everything was ok or if we needed something else. I recommend it and Im going to go back again.
Lovely atmosphere at Cote which I visited on a Saturday night. I had to push back my reservation by an hour which was adhered to with no problem. The staff were attentive. Portions were of ample size, however I found that on this occassion the calamari was rather oily, so much so that it impacted on my enjoyment of the main dish (main dish in picture)
Prompt service, lovely staff and location. We had a good time and will definitely return. Highly recommend, overall exceeded expectations.
Excellent food as always, and great staff. Very accomodating of children, will continue to comeback when in Kingston.
Thank you for the amazing service to the lovely waitress who loves Trash metal. Forgot your name. Sorry. My friend and I had a lovely time and we will be back shortly for some more tasty dishes. X
Lovely relaxing chilled atmosphere, excellent and prompt service, menu not as extensive as before but still a good range. We ordered from the prix menu, large portion of whitebait for the missus, I went for the tomato soup which did not disappoint. We also ordered calamari from the a la carte menu and this was very nice. We both chose the chicken which came with mushrooms and a sauce with some sliced potatoes and we both enjoyed it. We shared strawberry pavlova which was very refreshing. £50 including service charge, you cant go wrong here.
Great service, did not have to wait too long for food to arrive after we ordered - even though it was busy. Well presented and overall good food
Lovely day at Cote. Very friendly and professional service. Definitely we will come again. The weather was perfect and to have luck with a free table on the terrace make it even more enjoyable. We really love it.
This is my favourite restaurant chain. Their crème caramel is so delish. With lockdown, Im now using Cõte @Home. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Great to get a break from cooking and Ive ordered 3 crème caramels for my next delivery. If you sign up, you get great offers. This was my lockdown birthday meal with complimentary bubbly.
Excellent breakfast venue right on the river. Get a seat to watch the water and joggers. Good veggie option and selection of other cooked breakfasts. Good deal at just over £10 for the cooked options to include a drink and fresh fruit juice. However they should put the scrambled eggs and salmon in that cooked breakfast option - after all it is a cooked meal and not a light bite. There are generous baguettes with sausage or bacon at under £5 under the lighter options. Extra for your brew. Sit outside with your pets and grab a blanket if its a little frosty out there.
What a lovely place, beautiful amazing staff. Food was really taste. .loved the icecream with dark chocolate n biscuits..every thing from steak, salmon, chicken was amazing fresh and full of flavors...highly recommended!
The food in this place is spot on. The duck and the pork belly are especially good. They have excellent service and the whole restaurant is very welcoming. In the summer the outside can get very busy quickly due to being on the river front and due to the amazing food.
We had a nice early dinner here. However, the onion soup was spilled on our bowl and had to wait a bit because it was way too hot. The risotto was delish. ☝️our waitress was very polite and nice to talk to.
Lovely place by the river in Kingston area, perfect for a alfresco dining on a sunny day. Friendly staff and quick service. Food was good. I like Côte because despite being a huge restaurant chain in UK, it still serves quality food for a reasonable price.
Situated along side the river this branch of Cote is very popular. It is not unusual to have 100 diners plus all enjoying lunch most days of the week so expect a little delay in your dishes arriving at your table..Average waiting time is round 16 minutes from ordering, this was also the case with the Main,The out side seating area is usually the first to get full, ( on a clear day)while in side you are offered a 1920 - 1930s-deco of mirrors lighting and tables..Air conditioning need to be turned down at one point I though that the main doors were opened upModerate to expensive in priced depending on what menu you chooseA la Carte, House, or Tourist.A bill here can range from £22 to £78"per person" for a three course meal with winestaff during my visit were very friendly and Polight. The fish soup I ordered could have done with a bit of fish peaces to add clout rather than be put through the blender, come sieve and relay on the croutons with relish that came with it. but then I am nit pickingI also had to ask for serving spoons for my veg. Not the first time of doing soOn the whole I enjoyed the mealI would loved to have had a behind the scenes look at the kitchen as this place is busyI will be back. I liked the place.
