27 Milsom Place, Bath BA1 1BZ, Katoro
Modern, all-day French brasserie chain, serving regional specialities and traditional classics.
We LOVED this place. The food was indescribably amazing, staff were attentive and polite and prices were not as outrageous as we expected for a fine dining experience. This was our first meal as an engaged couple on our anniversary and we couldn’t have asked for anything better.Only thing is we found it difficult to find at night as we’re not local, so heads up - it’s in the Milsom Place shopping complex on the ground floor.
Dined here for the 2 course lunch menu with my friend. The food was outstanding and the service was very good. I have to say that the chocolate mousse was the best I have ever had at a restaurant, absolutely delicious and the red wine was gorgeous.
We love Bath and found Cote pre-pandemic. It was SO good to see they survived it. On this visit, our Silver Anniversary, we were made to feel extra special by our waiter Jack. Very bubbly, chatty and happy to deliver our diversions from the menu. We love Cote but Jack really completed our evening. 🤗👏
Thank you to the waiters, who were welcoming, always smiling and full of kindness. They made my dinner a great time. Every dish was delicious, I loved the meat with fruit, especially the crispy duck with orange and the pork belly with apple and grapes (not sure). The restaurant is warm and clean, highly recommended if youre in Bath!
Service excellent. Food superb. Always a good experience visiting Cote.
It’s a lovely place to have meal, good foods, nice coffee and hot chocolate, felt so comfortable, but the best thing is the fantastic services they offered, thank you Jack!👍
Went out for our birthday meal lovely welcoming staff excellent value wide choice and very reasonably priced.Meal arrived hot good quality.Thankyou we really had a lovely experience.
We had dinner here Fri 2nd September at 8pm. Very busy but had a lovely welcoming. We were seated next to the windows that opened fully. The waitress was excellent all night. I had a nut allergy so was given the tablet to see what had nuts in.The food was excellent! Couldnt fault a single thing. We were the last to leave but never felt like we were being rush. Definitely will be going back!
Exceptional staff, exceptional food! For the money, experience and ambiance, you cannot fault Côte at all. Our waiter (manning the upper section at 18:30 this eveningwas impeccable, friendly, and attentive. The food is delicious, you cannot go wrong for the value for money. It’s always our go to restaurant in Bath when we need a trustworthy, special but great value meal.
Loved it. Come and eat here! Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Whats not to like!
Great service, good atmosphere. Mine and my friends steaks weren’t cooked correctly but we ate them and tasted lovely nonetheless. Rest of food was very good.
We came to this restaurant when we visited Bath. The location is very convenient. The restaurant environment is great and the food served is delicious. Anna was very nice and was hosting us very well, especially we are having kids with us. Thank you🙂
Had a lovely meal here, food was delicious and our waiter was very good with a sense of humour. Would recommend.
Lovely calm spot in busy Bath to have brunch with the family. Food great, nice surroundings, friendly staff. Thank you for our welcome break yesterday from the busy graduation day.
I ate the salmon and eggs with watercress. Unfortunately this gave me food poisoning. The same thing happened to my mother. We phoned the restaurant and told them, they said they would phone back in a couple of days.....over a week now, and still waiting....Suggest that they clean the watercress in future
Came here for a friends birthday dinner. Food was immaculate and delicious. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Love it here!
Excellent meal and service at this restaurant, this was my second visit and I wasnt disappointed. The staff where helpful and very accommodating because we were quite early for our booking.
We enjoyed a number of dishes from the a la carte menu and both the food and the restaurant was fantastic. Special mention to our waitress, Sonia, who helped to make the evening great - she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.
Had the brunch menu, scrambled eggs with mushroom side. Large portion. The poached egg was a letdown as the yolks were all hard boiled. The French toast was delicious. The coffee is not great.
I had the deep fried Calamari starter, pan fried Monk fish with Mussels main and Strawberry with Basil pavlova dessrt. It was accompanied with two cocktails and a beer. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection and the waiting staff were warm, friendly and not intrusive. The cocktails were mixed perfectly aswell. We had three courses each and three drinks each and the bill came to £120 including service charge, which was added automatically. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful casual dining experience.
Cote has simply become my favourite restaurant chain. I had been here on a previous visit to Bath, and this place was one of the highlights of my stay...!
Arrived without a booking on a very busy day, was seated and served quickly. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. Pleasant atmosphere.
Good menu and excellent food but very noisy when busy. Hard to have a relaxing conversation.
Sublime. Just sublime. Such wonderful food served by wonderful people.
On arrival the greeting was soulless , the service was just about ok and our food 1 fish stew was good the 2 burgers were VERY greasy and of no value. Our waiter was friendly working on his own. The rest of the staff just looked at us then ignored us .will not be eating here again
Great atmosphere and great location in the centre of Bath. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great and tasting. A bit expensive but worth it if you want try a different experience.
Great tasting and looking food though the atmosphere was a bit noisy at times. Service was good and enjoyed our time there
Stunning Restaurant!Very helpful staff, great food, clean surroundings. Great experience and atmosphere from what is essentially a chain restaurant.Wonderful courtyard for when the weather is nice.Watch your footing on the uneven cobblestones nearby and if you have a member of your party with limited mobility I would recommend leaving extra time to relieve the pressure of making your way to the table as disabled parking is very limited indeed.I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return.
We love the menu and friendly staff of Cote generally and this branch we visited on a day trip to Bath was no exception. The lovely goats cheese and pear salad was lovely and presented very well. I had the sea bass to follow which was very tasty and creme caramel to finish which was just so nice. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definately recommend 😊
Favourite place to eat by far. Dog friendly we usually sit outside. Had our anniversary lunch here as the food is delicious. I had the stake frites (shared with the dogand the wife had the beef bourguignon. Sorry he was sick on the pavement and for being understanding about it.
Good quality food from one of my favourite chains. The location is brilliant. In the heart of the historic city of Bath, Cote is hidden down an alleyway, which somehow lends it an air of magic. As is usual, the good quality food is supplemented by friendly service and reasonable prices.
Four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Customer service good and staff welcoming and efficient.
Disappointing experience, nothing really wrong, just not anything special. Food was flavoursome, but portions were small, and I was expecting something more from a restaurant that charged me £90 for two starters, two mains, two sides, and two non alcoholic drinks. This is purely my experience, and may not be the same for you. My wife enjoyed the atmosphere, and it was authentic with a French waiter.
Service was great as usual and food was perfect!!!The Caussoulet the Toulouse was divine and my favorite Cream Caramel always perfect!
We really enjoyed our meal here. Came to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately we were not told in our booking that we would only have the table for 90 minutes due to this we felt rushed and skipped on courses a poor decision from head office hardly fair on the staff either. My main meal was pork Belly it was divine 10/10 my husband had the ribeye and he was very happy with it cooked to his liking. I opted for the Mont blanc from the festive menu for dessert it was such a disappointment 1/10 bought in meringue very little chestnut and cream, chocolate drops which were more like what youd melt down for tempering. Cote should improve this or take it off the menu. I did let the server know of my displeasure, alas I still paid full price for it. Our drinks however were well made and the wine was excellent, staff were very friendly and efficient especially the chap serving the drinks. So close to getting 5 stars.
Really lovely food and not expensive for the quality. Staff were very friendly too and restaurant and toilets were clean.
Perfect services excellent food vegetarian choice 👌 😋 delicious dessert s too 😋
Very friendly staff, managed to get a walk in appointment. Would have got 5 stars but they made a minor mistake on the order and the steak seasoning was too salty for me. But £22.50 for a fillet steak means it’s great value, my favourite chain restaurant.
Food was amazing! We couldnt expect nothing better! Lovely outside area for the hot summer nights! We had a great time, staff was helpful and friendly especially our waiter Florin! Thanks to him we had a great experience! Definitely 10 out of 10! We will be coming back and food was delicious!
I was served, almost immediately after ordering, with a burger that was almost certainly rewarmed from earlier; at least I asked for medium rare, and was served overcooked and dry. Given the time difference between ordering and service my burger would have been raw. At least they had the decency not to charge me for it.
The food was stunning, the only thing better than the food were the staff.Very welcoming and very friendly.10/10 will definitely be going back.
Lovely meal in great surroundings. Much better than its close "rival"!!! Food better, staff much more attentive and food very good. Im gluten free and the dedicated menu as well clearly displayed food provided amazing attention to detail. Well recommend and we will be back.
I booked a table for my wifes birthday because we visited this restaurant a year ago or so and we were impressed with the food. Unfortunately, this time the food was not so good apart from the starter, calamari with tartar sauce. Me and my wife had Poulet Bretton which was boiled chicken slightly grilled with bland taste with a poor presentation. This dish is a traditional French recipe but the one that you served, is a bad example of Poulet Breton. Also, we asked for garlic sauce, they sent melted garlic butter 🤮Very disappointed thats why we will not come back. The only good point was the service, nice and friendly.
We booked table for lunch one week ahead, the waiter told us there was no tables downstairs and told us to go up. Upstairs we were greeted by a rude waitress telling us our table is downstairs. Ive worked in restaurants so guessed they gave our table to walk-ins and gave us whats left upstairs even if we arrived on time. The food had no flavour whatsoever. The celery steak was inedible, full of marinated garlic. The mushrooms paté had no flavour or salt, my homemade paté is better 1000 times than this. The sorbet was tasteless. The chips tasted like frozen chips. The only thing that was really good was the bread. Limited vegetarian options.
"what a place" walked in the restaurant the atmosphere was brilliant the cleanliness was A* the menu is simple and easy to order staff are very friendly i ordered the 2 course prestige menu that was the calamari and the crispy duck leg the duck leg was just melting in my mouth the tender crispy juicy duck leg. the calamari was really crispy and the dip accompanied with it just blended well overall a great experience and amazing food
Lovely setting for well presented delicious food. We booked luckily as the restaurant was busy for a thursday evening which made for a nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced for the standard of food. We had the duck and belly pork which were both beautifully cooked. Desert couldn’t be missed either as the crepes were to die for. Set in a cobbled courtyard with the botanist and other bars around. We went straight from the restaurant to the botanist for drinks and it was a lovely evening.
Just avoid this place with their never changing menu and non existent cooking skills. Nice staff tho so coffee and drinks are fine. Crème caramel and fries are good but that doesnt take much. Avoid the French onion soup and 1/2 chicken.
My mum eats here regulary and usually chooses the roast duck with cherries or steak and i have to ssy weve had some lovely lunches here in Bath. Its good quality and good value even if you dont opt for the set course menu. Plus they do a very reasonable Merlot which goes well with most dishes. You also have the option of eating outside on a nice day, making it even more enjoyable..
Cotê Brasserie is always a great choice for dinner.Unfortunately when we went many ingredients were not available (perhaps because of the bank holiday), but still food available was great.I suggest to book your table in advance because it looks quite popular.
Lovely setting for a very reasonable two course lunch. The staff are lovely and efficient.Well probably be back as the lunch service is very quick. The smoked Toulouse sausages with lentils are delicious as are all the others choices weve tried. The leek starter is also highly recommended.
